All I see is a lot of kitten BG players.

Right now, 1 Ocx/Sea player is worth about 10 NA players.
They say they don’t want to change the system because it would be unfair to off-hours players. Meanwhile they neglect the fact the current system is unfair to prime hours players. When 90% of your player base is insignificant, there might be a problem with your system.

WvW is like a rowdy bar right now. The hackers are running the show and ruining it for everyone else. When people say “roamer” I think “hacker” since I run into so many when I’m roaming. They are everywhere. Guy ran right thru a 20 man zerg solo….never slowed, and his health bar hardly wiggled.
Those are called “warriors”, not “hackers”.

bad game design
Did a part of the game force those players to be rude? Did someone demand it or does it give a reward? No it doesn’t.
Yes, the rally mechanic does force those players to be rude.
Uplevels dying and rallying the enemy ruins their experience. They have to be rude to get her to go away. They’re already running untagged so they made an attempt to be polite. She choose to follow them anyway. Being polite did not work so they were forced to be rude. That is terrible game design, I am sorry you can’t see that.

Oh c’mon, the only thing Anet manages to sell to wvwers is finishers.
/topic
What does that have to do with the rally mechanic?
You’ll still go down, you can still be revived by teammates, and you can still be finished. The only difference is that you wouldn’t rally when an enemy dies.
It’s an easy fix, you already don’t rally from pets and yaks. There’s no good excuse for not making this change to WvW.

Don’t blame the players, blame the bad design.
Anything that discourages people from playing together or in your case, keeps people from pursuing the action is terrible design and needs to go.
Teaching and helping new players should be an enjoyable experience for both parties, instead it’s a huge burden for the veteran player and a condescending experience to the new player.
The ‘rally’ mechanic has held WvW and SPvP hostage for far too long and any decently run company would have done away with it a long time ago.

Peeper, we love you!
Please come back!

Read the GlassDoor reviews for ArenaNet.
The devs are wonderful and have tons of solutions of their own. They’re being held back, however.

Here’s another strategy for you:
Throw a ton of unbuilt siege on battlefield. Siege has priority over players, it will soak up a ton of AoE damage.

The odds of getting the same color 3 weeks in a row is 1/9 if the matchups were completely random.
But the matchups aren’t completely random. Due to system scoring you’re more likely to repeat as the same color than be any other color as a mean fluxation of 0 points would keep your server locked in the same matchup.
Basically the odds of getting the same color 3 weeks in a row is closer to 1/7 or roughly 15%. It’s not really that rare.

WvW-guilds are falling appart everywhere. Running around in BLs and EB looking for fights always results in facing T3 Towers loaded with ACs or 60+ Blobs facerolling accross the map. So the Raids end leaving players bored and annnoyed. Everyone is “looking for a new game” mindset by now.

I’d rather have impromptu temples than having 60 people sitting afk at dwayna while 5 people struggle with the pre-events

Whenever someone programs truly immersive AI.
When the holy trinity becomes obsolete, not because of combat mechanics, but because of an AI that knows to target healers and casters first. One that knows to interrupt certain skills and most importantly one that knows to rally and support other AI.
When that happens, I think we will see the next gen MMO.

Wanted the hammer, first lvl 22 fractal I did gave me the hammer.
Haven’t done fractals since. Sorry guys, bad luck!

Blackgate or Tarnished Coast if you like PvE.
Jade Quarry if you like WvW

Hopefully to get an overview of the player base.
The forum is not going to give you a overview of the player base.
The results seem to be pretty spot on, imo.
Lots of goods but could be better. A few greats and not many negatives.

Welcome! Glad you’re enjoying the game.
My #1 tip for new players:
Turn your chat off and don’t read these forums for at least 3 months. It’ll be the best decision you make.

Ice bow has no maximum targets.
You’ll tag everyone than instantly die to retaliation.

The best part of this game is the journey. You would be doing yourself a disservice to skip it.

There are places in EotM where you could GvG. Take some initiative and set it up yourself.

Pretty much any Asura running technoblade in combination with their other skills can keep her locked down as well.

The game already does this. Every blue and green item gives an essence of luck that increases your MF.
