Did you watch BLUs shout cast with the new spectator mode? I doubt it. GW2 is heavily animation based which makes it fantastic to watch when you can view it from static locations.
I did and it was boring as balls, all i saw was ppl spaming stuff and throwing aoes and making clusterkittens everywhere.
No game is fun to watch if you don’t even know what profession/class/champion does what.

lettu is not a matter of gold or gems im pretty sure that every1 that bougth guild wars 2 is able to afford a custom arena on their own is about the thing that they are not adding anything new and they are charging you for that.
I just wanted to duel with my brother and play private games with my friends IRL. It’s looking like Arenanet won’t let me do that without paying extra money. I’m legitimately disappointed.
Arenanet DOES let you do that WITHOUT paying money. You can convert gold into gems. If you don’t have enough gold, as you stated, that is NOT Anet’s fault. That is a cumulative result of the actions you have taken in GW2 so far.

From what I have gathered from both Dev statements and working in the software field, projects at ArenaNet seem to be very flexible which is why they dont announce anything in advance. As great as that may sound its an absolutely terrible design model as it allows the company to invest great amounts of time and resources into projects that will inevitably fail. Because those projects are not announced there is no direct blowback from the customer, only internally. The, its released when its done development method, is a great ‘promotional’ statement as it seems to imply quality, but in reality its a way to remove accountability for failed projects.
That being said, chances are they had an idea for doing things one way, tried to implement it, failed, and followed that pattern until we have the current iteration which finally was able to pass quality control.

no its not, its up to the devs to deliver wich they did not in this 8 months so ppl left and the player base got smaller then well, who in their rigthful mind would invest on a game that has so little ppl playing and make a tournament or whatever with prizes and kitten.
ill make it even simpler GW2 is not fun it has a great combat system but is wasted.
this fix is just dumb … a good fix would be that u cant use a skill + steal at the same time and land both hits.
I think this is really good for the game that some wants to cast the matches and stuff, really nice and all but i think it will goes like this:
The red team bunker is holding mid, oh a ranger comes in from the blue team and start attacking the bunker his mesmer friend is coming to help omg this is the best match ever!! the bunker is downed ladies and gentleman, ranger is moving for the stomp, OMG he got rallied by a sig of the necro, heere comes the red team, its a clusterkitten boys and girls every1 is pressing buttoms without thinking and trying to press F to help their down teammates, no1 knows what their doing but they are doing it anyway! this is trully a skilled match11!!1.

It is still in beta with so many nerf and fotm builds … the greatest example is the warrior, in beta it was so op that killshot was actually good, then they made it not very good but viable with the rigth support and now .. well.
These devs they still dont know what they are doing or they listen to the community more than they should.
I love how ppl agree with paying $$ for having a custom arena when u have so many games that they have that thing for free and since realease.
If they had it with some sort of currency used in pvp yeah they would be cool but nop so yeah f off. Anet have turned into Goldnet.

any game with a bit of team play just a little bit the healer says " im getting attack by this dude halp" then the team is like wtf and switch targets. Now in this game the definition of help is like this: i got 2 on my point help … 2 go help him the guy goes down they use res signet now is 3v2 and the 3 win.. all in a matter of i dont know 10seconds. Moving from A to point B is also consider teamplay in this game lol

If i dont like foul language i put the filter on therefore i wont report any1 becouse i cant see those words. But its like this I dont like foul language but i never active the filter so i see the bad words and report them.
I dont care really i got unbanned from now on i wont say the F word in any chat but believe me when i see some one saying it i will report.
The other day i told a guy in map chat “kitten off kittent” he replied to me the typical reported and i loled .. then a few hours later i was banned for 72 hours. I dont mind about the ban its ok gw2 is not that good that i actually can stop playing it for a while.
But the thing that i dont understand is this why do u have a filter? if u dont want to see bad words well why u deactivate it ? to be a kitten and report people?. I think that report buttom is more like a troll tool.

In this 7 months we have seen meaningless updates. That changed nothing i think the most important thing that they fixed/nerf in this 7 months was some culling issues, staff elly, naked clones, projectile speed, speed sigs and downed state hp.

Random Arenas is not exactly better, even without monks existing. Unless it had a matchmaking system. But if it had a MM system, then that would pretty much be similar to a solo/ duo queue that the OP suggested.

um how is it possible that a thief can kill 5ppl? u can down 1 but finishing its a bit hard after that.
the other day i saw a guild group of like 7 or something and i did the combo on the last dude and finished him… the next time i do that i manage to down 1, then all of them turn over in a second, and i had to shadowstep instantly, and i try once more they were less this time like 4 or something i jump on their glass thief down him and a guardian knocks me off and ress him and i shadowstep away.
I think ppl need to stop using glass cannon gear if they dont want to die instantly or use stun breaks becouse i think that 80% of the wvw population dont use em.
If your group is running like headless chickens of course the thief is going to win, a good thief feeds on the weak and run when he cant win.
most of the builds that u mention if not all they dont work in spvp in fact if u see a longbow ranger or a rifle warrior u know he has 0 clue of the game or he is trolling, spvp and wvw are 2 different things.. waaaaaaaaaay different. Lets see a double endure pain warrior in wvw can make disasters and survive a lot and kills lots of ppl , in spvp he has to give up a lot and it just doesnt work, or thieves for example they are really really good in wvw becouse u can escape easly but in top tpvp yeah they are not that good they good but not as good as a dd s/d elly, trap ranger, guardian.
Engies do have a lot of burst but u have to be rigth on top of the dude to do the 100nades thingy.
Oh and i forgot tpvp has the same mode the last 6months and its not even close to the wvw changes that they made (for good or bad obviuosly), im almost rank 45 in spvp im not bragging or anything it just shows that i played a lot over there and i have somewhat an idea.
