Cheats and cheaters don’t exist in online games, therefore it can’t be true for people to experience cheating in GW2. All these people who experience cheating (in various forms) cannot possible know what they are talking about either, because I don’t notice or experience what they are experiencing, and, therefore, it has to be untrue. Same old worn out and faulty logic. I don’t believe there are cheaters behind every screen either, but I do know they exist, both by experience and by the experience of others.

I find it very disingenuous when people come to threads and denigrate what others are seeing and experiencing.

Here’s an example outside of GW2; recently Valve banned 40k accounts for cheating. Therefore, if you don’t think it happens here in various forms, even here in GW2, then you should do a little research. Anyway, here’s the article on Valve:

In sPvP its hard to CC someone to death – you have nowhere near the damage the same dps/cc build would have in WvW. Most will also build tanky-ish due to stat combos.

Since this forum is as dead as sPVP, ill bring back this issue again.
You cant allow any class or combo to cc someone till the death, as someone said in WoW (I’ve traded wow for gw2 because of graphics, shame on me) this doesn’t happen. and that why they still in business and you not.

You may think you have a pvp dev team but as I said in my other deleted posts you just have a PVP RP team cos you don’t know how to balance this game.

And CC is only one of the issues

Came back from a 2 month break to see that pvp is literally all just bots this season (at least in starting tiers). It looks like there is literally zero effort to curb the infestation as there’s only 1 or 2 other legitimate real players in every match.

May be the fault of my tin foil hat but I can’t believe this behavior could be normal. So many player unresponsive to chat, following patterns and using skills like machines.
I see this happening every time playerbase get low, take your own conclusions, is this players botting or…?

There’s no “or” about it…it’s clearly botting. You can see characters moving in the same exact paths almost on top of/inside each other, stopping at the same exact spot every time at the cap zone, perfect reaction times to dodges and stun breaks. You can tell who’s a bot just before the gate opens and the match starts by where they’re standing before they run out.

I was on eternal coliseum, capped far, then a warrior came after me to take the point back. I walked away and he followed…for the rest of the match. I literally walked him around the map 4 or 5 times and his pathing made no effort to try to look lifelike. He was like my little warrior bot pet.

I don’t really doubt that there are bots cos I noticed this behavior on last season, but this time is to obvious.
The “or” part was about who put the bots there. Think about it for a sec.

I myself felt like this for many seasons.
But I guess is the other way around, when people are unhappy with matchmaking (and they should), they unleash their rage on the forum.

But I’ve seen tons of threads complaining about matchmaking without a single reply from any developer, and the fact that this one deserved Evan attention makes me guess again.

Dear anet, I have this idea, got it from Counter Srtike.
Why can’t we have a map where we all are thieves with just one skill that can 1 shot kill you, just like “first blood”.

First match I did after update I killed a thief, the guy sent me a whisper saying “noob” (business as usual).
He kinda loved me and spent whole match running after me, every time he killed he laughed. I don’t get stressed with that kind of thing.
But for whatever reason we lost and for my surprise I found myself laying kinda dead on the floor with that thief dancing in a pole.
That’s not the way to go anet. And trust me, I lost every match I did after that. Just because It seemed like a good idea

After a good placement (gold T3) I found myself on a losing streak (20 or 36 pts per match) till I figured out I had 2 guys making placement in my team still lost like 35 pts.
Nothing new, just like last season
So now I’m playing as I want since I lost the faith in this system and hopes to get to the top. I have like other 6 chars, only know how to play with one but who cares. why learn in unranked when you can learn with the “pros”

tbh I really think all classes need a little more CC.
My idea is to introduce a new game mode where the first to get rid of CC wins!

We could call it “sPvP First Blood”

Take away the two dodge roll from DH please, give him just one with a 50/50 chance.

Since I have nothing better to do cos I got dishonor for dc an entire match losing 11 points, witch is not bad taking into account I was wining 14 for win and 21 for losing…
At least this time I didn’t had to play…

Solo/duo queue was the worst decision taken by anet for long time. worst than this broken leaderboard/point/placement system.

Except it wasn’t down to Anet because it went to a vote by the players who were kittening about being killed by premades in ranked and listened to people like Helseth before he and his team ditched the game for Smite.

Anyone who disagreed was immediately shot down and jumped on with people crying and claiming all you wanted was to easily farm players and the notion of wanting to play PvP with friends and progress through ranked with them was universally ignored by said crying players.

If you want to avoid this kind of thing, vote next time….

And after the poll had closed people were complaining cos they voted for solo/duo thinking they were voting for two separated queues, one for 5 men other for solo/duo.
A lot of people asked if they could change their vote cos of that.

yeah,Unranked is fine and all. But I want to progress,as well as some friends of mine and it’s annoying that we can’t play together in ranked Q. We are playing pvp to get better,climb up and have fun.

Unranked Q is just fun.

I know mate, I also prefer ranked over unranked. But I gave up asking to bring back 5 man Q.
GW2 is not my full time job, I play to spend time with my friends, if I can’t do it in ranked I will do it in unranked.
I will not go ranked alone if I can have a good time in unranked with 4 or 5 friends. Thats it.
I have my achievs, my wings, my title… there is not enough reasons to make me think other way.

Are you implying that Anet doesn’t read reports, doesn’t have access to chat logs and can’t identify players sitting afk at spawn?

Your solution is to apply man-hours to solve those issues?

You know, this is just an estimate, but there are probably 100 to 200 pvp games being simultaneously played in NA+EU…10% of which probably have a potential griefer (Or higher depending on how many people actually abuse this mechanic more-so then actually reporting real griefing).

That means that every 15 minutes, 10 – 20 games, each of 10 minutes of length have to be reviewed to apply a proper punishment…that’s 2-4 hours of footage every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.

And this is just to WATCH the games. This doesn’t include the time to read said chat logs, or analyze the situation of the supposed griefer.

Realistically they don’t need to watch games. They just need to look at logs from games with a notable amount of reports. This drastically narrows down the manpower needed.

The only reason they would need a large amount of moderators is if they want to do real time moderation. They don’t so they don’t need that much manpower.

And then do what?

I’ve seen this before. I filed a ticket and directed customer service to my video. I don’t think I’ve seen that toon in PvP since then.

File a ticket in the support area of the website.

My friend opened a ticket complaining about something like this, they told him to report or record the game, as we know report never worked.

I saw so many things like this during my 3k matches… and they still trying to make this kitten pvp competitive

First read the chat before match begin….
- 0:30 Don’t get ported to base after ready countdown and instant cap our close after match begin.
- 1:50 he just refuse to die, disappear and kinda teleport while downed.
- 4:30 he disappear from mid after gyro finish me and teleport to our close, no steath from engi or use Judge’s Intervention nor sword skill 2, he step back on mid and inta appear close behind our guard!
- 5:20 After being down for 30sec (since 4:50) watch minimap when aliens appear and send him flying away.
- 6:00 You just can’t finish him, tried 3 times, at 3rd time Judges intervention ported me to elsewhere without losing focus on him.

In this video at 1:20 you can see how ranger port from close to far on mini map and start decap the point without being seen.
