We can post screens of zergs until GW3 will be released, nothing will change the fact that fighting against MS is boring as hell. Also posting a video of a few guys running around is somehow supposed to convince us that MS is no running in large groups.
To make this easier to understand, i`ll give you an example – Gandara.
Fighting against Gandara was beyond fun. Even if Gandara as a server outclasses us in almost every possible way, from the number of organized guilds to the “quality” of their pugs, fighting them was one of the mokittenn things i did in quite a while. At any time i could have just join wvw and it would not take long to find small scale fights, regardless of the map i was in (even in EB to my pleasant surprise) without the fear of the “big bad zerg” that is going to roll over you.
Now, im trying hard not to bash MS, but in all honesty, as soon as i try to take a camp on your border a rather large and angry german mob appears. When things don`t go so well for you out in the open, you stick to your AC`s and upgraded towers, only to come out for some “fun” pvdoor nightcapping.
I understand and respect your desire to win, but lets try to also have fun while winning (or losing in FSP`s case).

Most were quite disappointed with the minion AI, and people just gave up on trying to get Anets attention.
They don`t care.
They barely even reply here, but if, god forbid, you request them to look into it, the mods will slap you with infractions within minutes.
The best thing you can do is to not use any of the garbage on the gemstore, or any gems at all. Maybe if enough people do it they will realize they need to pay more attention to their customers.
op starts by saying “Here you will be introduced to a couple of Zerg versus Zerg battle tactics” and follows with a few tactics that most of the time dont happen.
What actually happens when 2 zergs meet is that you will have 2 blobs autoattacking each other to death because of skill lag (remember we`re talking zergs here).
Had some good fights tonight against both servers. Even if we end up on the 3rd place, i think this week we’ll have a fun and intense matchup

I really hope Xaoc stays where it is. We did just fine without them and going up in tiers from where we are now it is not something me or anyone from my guild is interested in.
We are just fine where we are, there is plenty of fun and good fights to have in the current tier (or slightly lower tiers as well). What our server needs is a small organized group like FURY, XxX or RG have sometimes. We need a small group/guild of highly organized and highly skilled players, and i dont think Xaoc is any of that.
Most of the wvw veterans i talked to on FSp seem to highly dislike the idea of having them on our server. I dont want us to win against anyone, be it Gandara, AG or any other server just because some russian zerg decides to do player vs door at 6 in the morning. I want us to win because of the hard work the amazing guys and girls on FSp are doing, which has been the case so far, and the reason for our comeback.
Other than that, i just wanted to thank both AG and Gandara for the awesome fights we had. You guys are awesome and you sure as hell made this week one of the most fun ones i had in a long time.

Not been the best weekend for AG – not had the coverage anywhere, not even in the evenings unfortunately. Guessing a few of our guys are still a bit disheartened after the same match up for 4 weeks.
FSP – you guys have much larger numbers compared to last time we face you. Yes you’re not afraid to come out of your towers but kitten do you run around in one big blob. Managed to get some good fights, but your numbers absorbed us.
Gandara – Great defense of your hills later on this evening, kitten you guys were on suicide missions! Unfortunately nothing came of it, but we didn’t leave empty handed, took your bay and Garrison of FSP where we then went to EB to help on SM but again met another large blob of FSP!
I hope FSP have the coverage they do over the week as they have over this weekend, because i can tell you now a lot changes in the week for AG and a lot of guilds become much more active!
On another note, was anybody suffering some major lag throughout WVW today, As a leader there is nothing worse when you’re trying to shout directions and co-ordinate your group when infact you have no idea where things are or whats happening. I know a few of our guild/other people on the server were having the same problem [no i’m not trying to make excuses].
Again in case everybody missed it the first time, [FURY] are looking for a guild vs guild this week, /w me for details.
Aside from the rendering issues, me and some people from my guild that i was running together with seemed to have insane skill lag during most of the fights. Not sure why, but i really hope Anet fixes it.
Been a great match so far, some of the clashes with UNITY and FURY were awesome.
@Matt and FURY – lot of respect for you guys, even when heavily outnumbered, you guys are a tough nut to crack.
Lets hope they fix the lag issues in the upcoming patch so that the epic fights will continue
Well, after the ‘incident’ in SM, I went to look for this Qla in his border, I looked in Hills and Garrison and even the NE tower but he wasn’t there. I just wanted to apologize for it. Then I kept knocking on Bay doors, but no one was answering for a long time so we just left.
If he wants a word with me, he can mostly find me in our own Bay (the golden winged sword is my guild’s emblem). Cheers!
I cannot really understand the whole attitude towards pugs in this and other threads.
It`s good that organized guilds contribute to the wvw effort, but we have to realize that it`s the pugs that keep things going.
The pugs are the lifeblood of any server, when the organized guilds go to bed its the pugs that kept that tier 3 keep for your server, it`s the pugs that waste their gold on upgrades and siege. It`s the pugs that provide the score points for the server and compared to that the contribution to wvw of organized guilds is rather small.
When organized guilds were switching servers like pairs of socks, it was the pugs that did all the hard work and brought FSP back from the dead (in the WvW rankings atleast). Don`t get me wrong, i usually avoid running with zergs, but disrespecting or ignoring players that work for the benefit of a server is asinine and a proof of a rather elitist attitude.
I hope i wont be misunderstood in my post, i`m in no way bashing any organized guild, just trying to point out some things.
I`ll just go ahead and apologize to RoP for some of the things that i have said. Obviously like Sorel pointed out, RoP is a rather large guild and what a few members did is not something that represents or characterizes the whole guild.

How can you even suggest that a party where almost 40 people were involved should go somewhere else because of 4 kitten ? Like you said its a “WvW-celebration” so it was hosted in wvw, in a area that has no strategic value, a area usually used to host duels and such (the windmill south of champions lodge).
If you guys want to prove what “leet pvpers” you are, go make a tpvp team or make a organized group to roam in wvw (im sure you`ll be able to with those hundreds of members) and prove how good you are. Backstabbing a few GH using mystery tonics and not fighting back in by no means a show of skill, it`s just trolling and acting like total kitten and will be either ignored by most wvw regulars or just answered with even more trolling.
If that is the role you and your guild will play in the FSP wvw community please let us know.

I have been noticed about this thread from some from the Keen and the Dane guild and I see two guys from our guild have been here already and made a few comments on it.
It’s sad to see and hear some people from Far Shiverpeak is bad mouthing another guild on the same server. Just because some guys/girls have placed the duel spot behind a supply camp and some from our guild are attracted by the sound of battle?
To be honest I’m kind of against interrupting a duel, but how should some outside people know it is a duel? We are entering World vs World vs World-> Open Pvp/PvE area where killing another player from another server is allowed= Badges
Now that being said, why do you people choose to place a duel spot behind a supply camp? There is a lot of people running through that area and capping, just asking? Find another spot instead of near a supply camp..
we have continuesly said that this was a non combat area for fun.
it was the area at the mill where everyone holds their dual/parties all the time.
now if those particular people want to attack its their right to do so since its still a pvp area.
however, it also gives me the right to never play with anyone from that guild again since they have been complete kittens throughout the whole thing.
those particular 2 members have shamed your entire guild by this abysmal behavior and i assure you that im not the only one who thinks that.

I know they have crashed your party, but there are some particular members from a certain guild that should be ashamed of themselves for being that rude to go that far to say to a person that -> Lets say a particular person from Guild Y said; “Guild X” got very bad commanders and other not fun stuff to a person from “Guild X”.
Anyways as one from Gunnar hold suggest, make a guesting on another server and celebrate the end of WvW there with dance party and such stuff. Unless you want to PvP-Duel in WvW and end up with the same stuff again.
Oh and btw instead of blacklist a whole guild? Why not contact an Officer or Leader of that guild and tell them the story instead we have to find out that some people are badmouthing our guild, through others?
:A little side note: I have heard that several people got reported for not so fine language down there during that little celebration event.

Honestly mate, you dont seem very different than the trolls that pollute your guild. There`s plenty of fighting to be had in so many other areas of the map, what they did was just plain trolling. If you endorse that, enjoy being ignored by most of the fsp`s wvw regulars. Next time a GH kills anyone from RoP i think i`ll stay back and relax untill the RoP scrub is dead and jump on their corpse. Trolling goes both ways.
If you know your members have the IQ of a doorknob try keeping them on a tighter leash.
Having a guild like yours on our server is a kitten shame and its going to take a kitten lot to change the minds of people that already “interacted” with members of RoP and DANE.

PS – I`m not sure if i remember right but i think you guys (SOE) had some events in the past with fireworks, ale kegs and some food feasts. Those looked like totally fun, would not mind seeing more of that again

As for the fireworks, it wasn’t really an event since we do it fairly regularly and with no planning. We just got bored one night and decided to mess around. However, if you liked our fireworks, you’d love our dolyak medic squad.

After a while i used a endless mystery tonic and was hanging around you guys (i transformed into a pig if i remember right), too bad some xaoc thieves showed up and ruined all the fun

We are not copying anyone, we have done it a lot of times in the past actually.
I won’t throw any more fuel to the fire about who has more players and at what times, but we are trying what we can to gain as much points as we can at any time.

Any guilds up for GvG’s and duel’s one night? Not for bragging rights or trolling purposes, just to have fun and add variety to a match-up that’s growing rather stale. It might be a good way to get to know one another, for good or bad it’s likely we’ll be facing each other a lot in the months to come.

I said low skill game because that’s what GW2 is whether you do 1v1, 1v5 or 30v30 there is a very low skill cap to the this game no matter the profession you choose.
It’s not a knock on the people that play the game at all, we all play for fun and the game is enjoyable but it’s just one of many reasons GW2 and tPVP won’t ever become a serious esport like Anet wanted.

Despite the game having a low skill cap you can still be good/bad at this game.. I’m a terrible mesmer not my kind of class doesn’t gel with me but I refuse to give in !!!

The fun part isn’t the bit people have an issue with matey.
It’s just the dreamy we fight out numbered bit,
Every single time you think you’ve been up against it, fighting the odds and seeing your 5 best mates fighting the enemy zergs desperately and saving the day, well you might to look just over your shoulder and notice the other 20-30+ people in the group you roll with.
As I said in previous posts everyone rolls in zergs it’s just the way this low skill game is and all the talk of ’we’re so skilled and wiped x’ is just nonsense that everyone from every server likes to throw out to make themselves feel good.
I said myself in this thread when I was in a group this week that wiped a much larger group of FSP several times in one hour, I’m pretty sure it was just culling as your side was 1000X worse than normal in those fights but no point me trying to claim our smaller group really went 3 to 1 odds and smashed you because your all terrible or something because 99.99% of the time vs the same people 3 – 1 odds and I’m paying repair bills.
To be honest, quite often it is very difficult to tell just how many enemies you are facing, especially if they have mesmers or classes that use lots of minions (like MM necro). Most people when looking from a distance at the enemy group look for the nameplates instead of trying to count the actual player models which overlap.
As for the second part of your post, i cannot say i agree with it Thomas. Running with a zerg is optional, and even a low level character can make a difference by running supplies or using siege, without having to run with a large group and still making a impact on the enemy.
I usually tend to avoid zergs because of the horrible culling issues the game engine has atm. About 80% of the time i run with a small 5 man party taking supply camps, denying reinforcements, basically trying to weaken the enemy as much as possible and staying one step ahead of their zergs. Sure, sometimes we wipe other groups, sometimes we get wiped, the main thing is that we`re having a lot of fun on both teamspeak and the party chat.
What i`m trying to say is that you do not have to run with a zerg to have fun in wvw, and when running in small groups the game is not the same “low skill game” of zerg vs zerg.
This week was fun, even if AM was a bit overly defensive, both AM and GH did a good job and put up good fights. See you guys after the reset, and good luck to both GH and AM

Our German friend was decent enough to post in English for us to read and was constructive about the match up and saying he was having good fights and fun, the very least you could have done is tried to do the same.

Not an alliance, it`s just that you`re on 2nd place. The guys on he first place want you off their backs and place 3 wants your spot. We`ve been in that position quite a few times, and yes, sometimes it can feel like you`re getting pressured by both sides. Its not a nice spot to be in. Other than that, i was expecting some good, fun fights from AM and GH, and both exceeded my expectations.

Dear FSP, Been in your bay for a few hours now holding it with just FURY against your entire server. The weathers lovely, been down to the water a few times bur its not good for swimming as its full of your blood.
Had an outing to to see some nice trebuchets but they got broken along with your zergs, sorry about that. Back in bay now building sandcastles.

It was a good fight, lets keep it that way without trying to mock eachother. Your guild half wiped several times in the supply camps and outside bay aswell, maybe you didnt had as many people as we did, and its understandable, but dont forget that most of the time you`re facing half-organized randoms trying to defend their border.
We had a lot of fun facing AG today, not sure what GH is doing behind our backs tho)
Come on Matt, you know very well that outside of siege (which ignores the 5 player aoe cap) a turtle like the one you guys are running can only be wiped by another, bigger turtle at the moment. Sorry if I seemed rather aggressive in some of my posts, but i really dislike the “everyone`s a scrub except us” attitude (maybe you do not have that attitude, but others who posted seem to).
The tactic i keep blabbering about is a rather common trend in the higher tiers, and i cannot say i`m a big fan of it. It`s not fun to fight against and probably the fun for those using it will vanish after a while.
I`m not telling you what tactics to use or not use, it is up to you guys, as long as your guild members are happy and you guys are having fun together, it probably means you`re doing something right.
I won plenty of fights and i probably lost even more, but even when losing, i sometimes founds myself saying “that was one hell of a fight, we lost, but it was kitten fun”. I can`t say the same after i find myself downed by invisible enemies that render after i`m downed (and yes, i have a good computer, so it`s not because of that).
I honestly wish you guys all the best, and hope we`ll have a lot of fun battles/skirmishes in the future, small or large scale.

My guild can bring like 3 people in wvw atm so whatever gvg you guys are dreaming about it`s probably not going to happen.
As for the rest of the stuff you guys posted is the same old defensive bs showing your inability or unwillingness to use anything else than what you are currently using.

Please, have the decency to not bs me with crap like that. It might work on a cursed shore farmer, but those of us that are in wvw each day have a pretty good idea what the problem is. And yes, it is broken, otherwise Anet wouldnt be working on a fix for it for God knows how long now.
What are you going to do when they fix it ? Ragequit ? Leave for another guild ?
As for you farming FSP and “leveling your alts” i know you`re trying to wave your kitten around here, showing us how those years of training in how to abuse culling and how to spam autoattack in a zerg paid off, but if you think about it a little, we all farm eachother all day long in wvw. It felt a bit special in the start, but now its just the norm.
But in the end, it`s just a game, let`s try to have our fun, no point in arguing and ruining eachother`s day.
