I’m having fun DAoC was fun and if you said it had even population then you are lying to yourself. If you are saying the server who totally dominates is having fun then transfer to that server and then tell me how fun that is for you.

Knee Jerk reaction to an issue like this is what causes games to fail. IF you don’t like it, then cancel your subscriptions… oh wait.

I was in EB last night, there is no way your night players logged on their normal times. We saw little fighting until much later into the night from DH. As for Os members growing, we have been recruiting a bit more but lately when we get totally outnumbered when your aussie players log on we just do BL hopping and delay whatever it is that DH is planning (usually our group numbers 5-10) we leave a small portion on EB to do what they need too, the reset just raids.

I’m honestly unsure of what to say regarding NSP right now. Last week we fought tooth and nail against YB/SoR and lost by a small margin. Now it just feels like a lot of the server has given up since that loss. I’ve seen significantly fewer players on lately and it shows in our inability to hold the map. I’ve been fighting since reset but now even I’m starting to feel demoralized. It’s not so much the score, but the general “I give up” feeling the server has currently. I wish we could rally and show DH and EB what we’re really capable of.

Given up? They own most of the maps last I saw maybe an hour ago, seems you guys have a night team

It’s actually within a few hours of peak for NSP right now. It’ll die down in ~5hrs. Also NSP has had no queues in WvW all week whereas at least have 2 of the 4 zones have had queues during the day and into the night in past weeks so Aldare has a point. I know at least I’m part of that population that Aldare described.

First off I will agree that a few people got demoralized over the loss after a tooth and nail fight with YB and SoR, but the ones who quit or transfer are probably people I rather not see in WvW with me anyhow, they are the complainers and quitter when the first push for something is a failed attempt. Has a defeatist attitude and bring the morale of the whole server down with their griping, nothing productive to add to the community.

I’m sure most people on EB and DH who have played after reset know what NSP is capable of already, aside from the attrition after the lost a contributor to the fact is that last week was the first time NSP had a real match-up and some people may feel burnt out, they put their all into a week and some may just want to take a small break (weekend, I did) but that caused the server scores to grow further apart.

You can’t compare the current match up, the hours are off and it’s a normal pattern, DH takes the late night(US) and we take them over in early morning, except EB is also there and a good portion of DH US population is there to fight.

I am not discussing who has better tactics or strategy, simply put the best plan can’t be accomplish when there is no bodies to be used. As for no que time, its rather normal if you ask me, it’s not like NSP was a huge server to start with, even before our match up with SoR and YB if it’s not Friday reset the longest I have to wait was 10 mins. compared to other servers that’s nothing.

Ether way I plan on Staying on NSP, if its population, skill, or whatever other factor eventually NSP will get the bracket it deserves and the fight would be good, as 2-4 weeks earlier has shown being on top isn’t always the best place to be.

A few of us do, but at a certain point, it just becomes Karma farming.

All I’m saying is I’m kind of disappointed at this match up, not because we are losing but simply because of the peak hour differences. During the day we would push and take majority of the map and at night DH would take it. I am very impressed with DH’s coordination during their night time attacks, having the large population is one thing, being able to coordinate them all is a whole other feat.

I would like to play against DH’s peak team while NSP has our peak team up too, but by night fall, our population starts to wane and it just becomes a steamroll, we don’t even have the bodies to throw at you to slow the progression in any meaningful way.

Oh and I understand why Northern Shiver Peaks goes after our stuff. Less population, lesser upgrades because the towers are traded more, less people to pay for the upgrades, etc. So I really feel like they should disincentive beating up on the small realm for points. You should be aiming for #1, not a comfy second.

Because I’m tired of this picture. We can barely fight one realm much less both regularly hitting us at the same time because we are easy pickings, ironically making a self fullfilling prophecy.

Well first of all, you are right we did go after soft easy targets, before whatever that is on your land became green it was blue, not red. If we had the means(population) at that time we would’ve gone after DH territory (which me and a small group did actually try). So you aren’t fighting both servers at the same time in that picture, you are only fighting one, blue was the one fighting both. Don’t give yourself too much credit.

Usually I Friday is an easy day before the next match up start for most of us. But I think we’ll be fighting tooth and nail till the last second on this one.

Play a dagger/dagger Thief then get your “iwin” button on and tell me how it goes in WvW, there is trade off’s, but as far as I know because I can drop someone in 2 sec means that they can drop me in 2 sec. If you can’t do that then you made your role do something else in WvW/PvP.

Sorry that thief caught you with your pants off but get better awareness.

Let’s try and leave the hack(s) discussion off this thread, all server has them and it’s not accepted by most people in any situation, if we can we will report them and let Anet deal with it. Arguing who does the hack only adds to the bad blood.

OT: I woke up this morning and saw that Yak’s bend is in the lead with NSP on the high potential gain. Yak’s have been on the high end of things since yesterday(usually second or first in potential gain). Though SoR is last place it wouldn’t surprise me to see them make a huge push sometime soon and take the lead again seeing how I really don’t see a definite “peak” hours for any of the three servers atm.

Yak’s Bend seem to have disappeared after the first day and a half of play, SoR have been swinging back and forth with NSP and took the point lead last night around 0100 PST. I went to bed after auto-piloting it for 2 more hours, so I don’t know what happened after that but when I logged in in the morning NSP was up by 3k and steadily increasing. Looks like SOR is coming back. They seem to have a really strong presence in the Borderlands.

So far I’m enjoying this match up.

While I agree that I don’t like to PvE much in this game, the Invader’s Set has Vit/Tough/Power, which Temple sets also offer.

In the time it took me to get 500 tokens I was able to buy a fell Karma set, so unless all you’ve been doing in WvW is spawn camping and never done objectives you should have enough Karma for several pieces.

The only piece missing that has Vit/Tough/Pow is legs for Light and Medium set, and those cost 370 tokens.

520ish – 2500 kills.

20% drop rate.

Don’t give up now, NSP. We all know you gave up last week on weds/thurs, and that’s why you didn’t jump a tier. I hope that isn’t your plan…to dominate lower tiers and give up once your win is secured. That would just be plain dastardly.

We didn’t really give up last weds/thurs, seems like after the weekend was over AR and FC didn’t seem to care aside from small groups here and there, nothing big enough to be a real threat. Then when you guys started back up on weds everyone was skeptical and wasn’t taking anything seriously. On my guild’s part most of us usually don’t get on till later at night, just how most of our work schedule is.

Good fights, I had fun. Trust me when I say we don’t like being on the lower tier’s to bash on the other servers irregardless of the reason(skill, pop, play-time), I think most of the people who spends a good amount of their time in WvW rather lose and have a 24/7 fight than to win with a big score and forced to PvE to pass the time.

D/D Build I’m using. It’s meant for WvW, I rely on my evade, blinding powder, shadow step to stay alive and get out of sticky situations, the shortbow helps too. Some people might question my lack of vit and toughness, but I fair pretty well unless its a focused attack on me and I didn’t see it comming (invisible enemies).

Signet of Shadows might be questionable, but I scout a lot and mobility is very important. Dagger storm I find usually more useful in WvW situations than TG, with this build after you heal is up you actually have to use CnD, evades, BP, SS smartly and timely to survive till the heal is off of CD.

I normally don’t heartseeker spam unless the target has significant heads way in front of me and I need to finish him off (HS is cheaper than DD). Normally against 2 target or a Ranger and his pet I can just spam DD and they would be downed or near death by the time I am up in their face.

the goal is to burst down the enemy quickly or shock a large group of enemies to back away and disperse them for your team to get in and finish them off, hit and run and wear the enemy down.

Regardless of any bad blood or play style differences I rather am enjoying the higher activity of AR, before I normally would just get on and cap a few bases then the game would pretty much be over. At least today I had fun fighting.

As for the orbs I doubt many people who even knew about it, the person doing will probably get caught and probably already banned by Anet, but I’m sure Anet has the same privacy policy as every other company out there and the punishment will never be announced with the exploiters name.

Not sure why people complain about population imbalance in a game making it unfair and blaming it on the larger group as the people at fault. What do you want us to do ask people to not Que up and not fight in WvW get a roster up and assign people when they should come to WvW and when they should leave?

I believe the point of WvW + and extra vW is to balance out the population imbalance, the more land you take the thinner your line gets stretched.
