Explorer Yolanda (Scout) at Firebreak Fort, Mount Maelstrom, does not have a voice over when used.
I did it normally a bit ago and doing it that way was bugged for me. Rather than risk Tonn blowing up the 3rd tower before I was ready, I went to the 3rd tower, cleared it and worked my way back to the first then continued from there and was able to complete it without a problem.
Thanks for figuring out this work around until Anet can get it fixed
I haven’t had any problem with coin. What I’ve done is fairly similar to some of the others with a few exceptions. I run around and explore all areas. I don’t use waypoints unless I’m down to like the last POI of a zone and find it on the other side, by then I just want to finish :p
I gather every resource I come across. When going through my inventory, I salvage all white items. I don’t belong to a guild so check the TP for value of all the blue and above items. If they have no value, the blues I vendor, the masterwork and above, I check to see if there are any runes on it I want, if not, I vendor them as well.
Also, and this comes from comparing my char’s coin with my husband who plays similar (with some difference) is that avoid doing any crafting right now that is going to cost you any significant coin sink. He’s skilling up his crafters more than I am. I only skill up when I have plenty of mats and can get crafting done with very minimal purchasing. Armor/Weapons/Accessories are very cheap on the TP for the most part and what is outrageous I figure I don’t need at the moment.
Doing this, after getting the manuals at appropriate levels, I still had several gold left over and I’ve never got any from the TP, just from my adventures
Enjoy your travels through the world
GW2 isn’t about the ‘endgame’, it’s about the journey there. This is just my opinion, but what I’ve seen so far and read on the forums (now as well as the updates given us during development), that seems to be the concensus (sp).
So, if you’re looking for flashy mounts, wrong game, we don’t have any mounts
If you’re looking for stuff do to, open your Hero’s panel, open the Achievements tab, and there’s still a ton of stuff to be accomplished. Not all involves ‘grinding’.
Me personally, I like the way this game is set up because it’s not about the ‘endgame’ but about the journey there. I know there are others out there that feel the same way.
You double click the Heritage armor piece then click on the piece of armor you want to apply the skin to. I’ve used mine a few times, so unless it’s been broke recently, it does work.
Not to mention that even if you’ve outleveled the armor, but still like the skins, you can transmute it
Ozymandias, Tyroki, I found the same moment in the Infinity Ball story perplexing and disappointing. When it happened I felt strongly that my character wanted to say “No way! Get away from me, I want nothing to do with you and your shoddy ideas.”
However, I love the Asura. I originally planned to just have one, now I’m trying not to make all my characters Asura! I really enjoy Metrica and the starting zone. I enjoy the cut scenes. I like that the females look like the males and don’t wear absurd frilly and revealing armor. I enjoy all the details of the NPCs and they stuff they talk about and do — DEL-X99 is one of my favorite NPCs anywhere. Rata Sum is possibly my favorite city: obviously, the Asura win for elegance of design in city planning. They’re adorable, snarky, zany, and they’re a lot of fun to play. I’m kind of neutral on the Engineering class… I don’t love it or hate it so far.
I have to agree with you on this. My original intent was one of each race. Um, yeah, that didn’t work out well >.< I have 4 Asura’s now, 1 Norn & 1 Charr (both that I’m trying really really hard not to reroll to Asura’s).
There have been times when one of my Asura’s volunteered something in her storyline and I’m sitting here going…Hey!! Don’t do that!! lol
But they are awesome & I know I will end up rerolling the others…/sighs and laughs
I proudly announce: My asuras are not broken anymore. They scream now, too, when falling off some heights
Love it.
Awesome Taari, just wait, you’ll be as addicted to it as the rest of us
Is there a way I can search for a player by name to find the server they are on?
Posted by: Kesarai.5084
Right now, world transfers are free, so you could make your characters, enjoy the game, then when she gets on, transfer to her server. All it takes is just a moment to transfer, simply a matter of going to the char select screen, transferring and it reloading the game.
I know a lot of people don’t like the cooking changes (my hubby included in that) but me personally, I have actually been able to start levelling my cooking without a coin sink like it would have been before. Granted its not for huge amounts at a time, can’t sit there and go from 0 to max like some did in the past, but it’s more than what she was before since I was going to have to wait until I got higher level for the coin sink.
I haven’t gotten anything from TP yet, but like Hansuki said, there’s always a lot of mats on there as some don’t want the hassle of levelling cooks.
I love it when I run up to a oversized Norn and stop, almost falling over, only to be eye level to mid-shin or so…lol, every time I feel myself wanting to say, “Hey, watch where you step, I’m down here!!”
I love my Asura, I have made one of Norn & Charr, but just can’t seem to play them. I do have 3 Asura’s however and absolutely love them. I have noticed their fear of jumping and will occasionally hop off of something, nothing big, no damage taken, but she’ll scream like it’s going to kill her. My husband (who’s desk is next to mine) will just shake his head and ask me if I’m trying to kill her.
Want to really hear them scream? Jump off Rata Sum cube…I slid off by accident one day and laughed so hard….she was like 4 and only had a few hundred health to deal with 60k+ landing….
Maybe thats why they scream? Have seen too many of their fellow Asura’s fall off the cube to ungodly deaths? ;p
There is a page called “Your Transactions” that has a drop down window where you can view what you have bought, sold, ordered, etc. From there, you can cancel your bids, remove your pending auctions, etc.
I can’t tell someone whats in the game for them, what the end game will be, nor can I suggest since I haven’t made it to 80 yet….and I have been playing since the 3 day headstart.
To me personally, it seems this game was designed to enjoy the levelling process and not race to 80. Explore the hidden areas, jumping puzzles, crafting, trying to discover new recipes, etc.
While some of the storylines seems to be more challenging for some classes than others, do the different story options on different alts.
I guess I’m just getting old, I enjoy taking my time to get the end game and seeing the world as I go….lol
Edit: All that being said, I have loved my time so far here. Well, except for the dungeons which I haven’t done any yet, but eventually I might get to it. Too much other stuff to do and explore at the moment
