I dont play pvp i mostly roam, when i say i notice less damage from rifle, this is in Wvw. In pvp my damage increased actually and using rifle/gs is pretty nice with berserkers + scholars in pvp, strength arms discipline.
or how about bring back our chance on hit for swiftness trait we used to have for arms

They did before when crack shot was in arms and we can have warriors sprint
so this patch brought less damage as before but with less mobility for rifle users
also with this new crack shot i am speaking of, if they add the +25% movement speed
if u use gs/rifle, u will move faster while have rifle equipped and slow during gs being equipped.
I dont know if u know this but crack shot used to be in arms instead of discipline before
im just giving a suggestion here

If crack shot has a 25% movement speed if equipping rifle, the movement speed will not affect any other weapon and you cannot use two same traits. (e.g warrior sprint(melee weapons grant +25% movement speed and movement skills cure immobilize) and crack shot cannot be used together).
I am talking about a mastery just for rifle and to give it +25% movement speed meaning no other weapon in the game that warriors can equip will get the +25% movement speed.
So if i get the crack shot trait(the one I am purposing to get + 25% movement speed while wielding a rifle), my secondary weapon will have a 0% movement speed unless my secondary weapon is another rifle.
Also i’ll like to note, playing hammer gs with burst mastery seems a bit better and the loss of 20% dmg isnt that big since we can get the power from berserker power trait. Having no 20% cooldown recharge on hammer isnt that noticeable.

I have been playing warrior since Beta of Gw2 and headstart. I mostly wvw and roam.
With this new patch, i seen a decrease in damage on most weapons or it still has the same damage output except for great sword since it can stack might(forceful gs + slashing power). The illusion of the power spike is the might stacking from the gs. Not having uptime of +15% damage compared to pre patch.
When i use gs hammer in this new meta, I noticed i dont have much aggressiveness and this is because the lack of burst mastery. I noticed a slight hiccup in the rotation of gs/hammer and it costs us dearly which makes for more passive play aka kite around till cooldown or adrenaline is back up.
Pre patch i used to roam with rifle as well, full zerkers + strength(everything ascended)(62006) build. I used to 1 hit ko people
with killshot from full to null. Now i noticed I have to work more to get the same damage as before. (dodge for +10% from stick and move and pressing 4 on rifle for 8% invuln)
So to the point, Its hard to bomb enemies with hammer gs as you have to be in melee range with telegraphed hammer skills, people do so much damage now and can constantly put so much aoe and range pressure on you. Influx of condi mesmers with long ranged skills + stealth kiting, influx of gs shatter mesmers with bursts/stun breaks + stealth for kite/regen. Influx of trapper rangers both being power and condi with superspeed + stealth to out kite the telegraphed hammer skills. I can go on and on.
For rifle, we lost mobility with greatsword no longer giving us +25% movement speed with warrior sprint since we crack shot is in the same minor trait as warrior sprint.
I had to make a switch from strength to scholars to see the nice damage output come alive, still does more or same even below 90% hp. the 10% crit damage is a boost from scholars not to mention the extra 5% damage(5%>10% strength>scholars)
good things i noticed are you can run double ep, double stab + strength/discipline line maxed out. I actually roam and zerg with strength arms and discipline for signet precision(5% per stack and 5 stacks max with 1 min per stack
and the internal signet of might helps fights against guardians for spike damage + quickness from heightened focus). + helps with mobility with signet of rage being on 48 seconds cooldown while roaming with rifle/gs.
I have one suggestion thus far and its related to rifle build. What if crack shot also added +25% movement speed while equipping a rifle?
I wasn’t part of beta as I won’t be pre-ordering this product until a week before release. I’m curious, for those who actually tried large scale WvW and organized group combat beyond what PvP provides, what you thought about survivability?
I play Tier1 and do GvG often and the saving grace for Necro currently is the fact that it’s ranged and your shroud will be 100% whenever you need to use it.
Reaper won’t have these luxuries and I’m very concerned it won’t function as a front line skirmisher and instead will need to invest heavily in death/blood to survive at which point you’re about as effective as a melee ranger in WvW zergs (useless).

i play Wvw 98% of the time, 1% in pve for crafting and karma conversion and the other 1% for pvp(too boringggggggg)
Because of this beta, this is my first time playing a necro in my gw2 life time. I made the reaper, gs sucked, reaper shroud was nice!.
I took reaper too wvw and solo camps without hiccups.
Now onto zerging and being in the front lines. I am full zerker with 40% condi duration food(not -40%). No stab( no party, trying it out solo). Drop my wells into enemy stack of 50, drop all my marks from staff and i go RS 3 for stab, rs 5 for chill field and rs 4 for spin 2 win doing 10k each to enemies(ALSO APPLYING POISON and applying chill from the chill field + chill combo field from whirls)
I rarely had my RS health down, why? we have a trait that gives us life force or health while getting boons from allies or applying our own boons to ourself. So we have lots of sustain.
I like the rifle to pressure the perma stealth and perma mobility mesmers

i main warrior and mainly do WvW
for against guards, axe shield + gs or rifle gs is pretty good against guardian(medi)(i use strength arms discipline + signet mastery)
if they are shout AH guards, they 100% counter u and just comes down on how good the guardian is
I got 50 hours on my guardian and AH + shout guard has about 80% uptime of protection. They have immobs, blinds, blocks, stabs(2), invuln. They will out sustain us. The only tip i can give is, dont let them camp scepter on u.
BUT ITS highly unlikely u will encounter a a ah shout guard(roaming). lol

the caculator seems to be glitched. Everything looks good except the crit chance, crit chance should be like 49% and not ~64%
What’s all this talk of buffing rifle? Rifle/GS got a huge buff with the trait revamp. It’s glorious for duelling with. That said it’s definitely a one-trick pony. I wouldn’t ever use it in group fights, but I have no problem with that. If anything the rifle as a weaponchoice could be re-made entirely. Buffing it si not the answer, it will only make it stronger in the fields it is allready strong.
I noticed a nerf to overall damage and now have to put air/fire sigils for bursty damage.
I used to roam with 62006 or 64004 builds, doing easy 15k killshots. The changes to berserker power, now i have to wombo combo my ks to get good numbers.
I use strength arms and discipline now. The signet mastery is improvement. The one and only thing they need to change is to move the rifle mastery to some other trait, maybe into 2nd tier of arms so it can fit in or into 1st tier of strength.
Because of where rifle mastery is, we lose lots of mobility. I have hard time catching up with a traited gs(gs 3 and gs 5) with someone just walking with traveler runes.
And rifle is great for group fights, you can pick off necros and ele in the backline because ele’s are usually sustain for a enemy group and necros are their main power at most times.

Anet deleted my thread in bug forums when they “fixed” berserker power and longbow burst skill wont proc this trait
What angers me that we have many broken stuff at the moment and you let even classes like mesmers roam in wvw freely, movement speed has no affect on them because of their blinks and you gave them intense amount of condi clears, heals, stealth and damage output.
I am not asking you to nerf classes such as those, i am asking you to ACTUALLY GIVE AN RESPONSE TO OUR BROKEN TRAITS that WE actually use everyday.
Can I get a red post to actually take this matter into consideration?
We had an update today and all i saw was this:

I didnt even know this problem existed, YET Many problems noted by the public on public forums have not been catered to nor even a response from a red post such as “We will look into this matter”
I have a better time killing mesmers on my newly made guardian(jun 23rd) than my warrior which I have played since beta
lol i laugh at warriors who rampage on me, i just out kite them.
pre patch, gs + hammer, gs + axe/shield, gs + rifle was good
now post patch, i cant use gs on them because my attacks keep getting canceled from their clones dying(glitch), if u knock or stun them, u get knocked back too. They have tons of dazes, stuns if u go in melee. They out run you.
So far only thing i have is Rifle + gs where I can use rifle to make sure they dont go out of combat millions of miles away. Using gs only for kiting purposes and not to go near them because my 100b will never proc on them, it gets canceled all the time btw from the glitch.
on axe shield, hydro + intelli or intelli + air
on gs, energy + fire or air/fire
Everyone is resetting the fight against me (mesmers thieves engi)
forcing me to run rifle gs
There are always necros and other melee classes worthy to engage against.
so your in WvW or SPVP and u meet this warrior who is able to outrun u and put insanse distance between themselves and you. and you are unable to catch up because swiftness causes their mobility skills to have 50% increase in distance traveld.
and now we know why it was nerfed.
nothing worse then some 1 able to escape combat at any time they like with no way any 1 can catch up or stop them.
now imagine your caught in a fight u know u cant win. but u cant escape cos you are slow / crippled and your mobility skills now let u move half the distance. o noes u cant escape anymore.
if u cant understand this don’t bother playing PVP u will just end up whining about something else that’s changes.
Your mad about warriors resetting fights?
Have you been in wvw in this recent patch? Mesmers reset the fight and are half a mile gone.
Last night i was fighting a mesmer, who by the way resetted the fight 3 times with his unlimited amount of blinks and stealths from what it seems.
Anet nerfed gs warrior so they can play on their mesmers and blink around enemy warriors and laugh their ____off in real life.
Oh you got me to 10% hp? no problem brb going into stealth and resetting the fights(dont worry movement speeds do not affect blinks becuz op)
I dont even bother confronting classes anymore, every1 non melee i encounter can reset the fight in their favor. Whats the point.
I actually had similar musings as I had run 60206 or 60404 in sPvP as my top two builds. I can safely say that I personally do more damage, and that’s because of the introduction of quickness, and might stacking on Forceful Greatsword (Which I had no access to previously).
On top of that, Berserker’s Power gives a 20% boost now instead of 15%, and having that power boost activate after an Eviscerate (which will usually trigger quickness) has led to a substantial increase (might stacks from Forceful GS usually carry over to the Evisc as well).
If you used Rampage previously, Peak Performance was also added to make it much more potent.
Yeah i do the same damage in pvp as I did in wvw before the patch btw but i believe its due to the fact of the new base stats from the amulets.
Also my critical damage for nerfed by 10% i believe so the 5% increase from berserker power(20% now from 15%), I feel i still do the same damage.
Like again, I ran glass cannon builds in wvw all the time and with this new patch i do the same damage(numbers)
I just do it faster because of addition of quickness
Also I do notice an increase damage in rampage(after patch)
yeah, i used to run 64004 with longbow gs and I used to might stack upto 25 easily soloing camps.
Did we get buffed or nerfed.
You seem more powerful, you ‘seem’ to be doing more damage than usual. (btw usual is the keyword here).
In pvp you seem to be doing more damage, but are you?
Okay so to the point.
I dont feel a difference in power EXCEPT for the addition of quickness from the GM trait in discipline.
Longbow is nerfed
I dont really use my hammer now as i cant do the same damage as before and retain the sustain i had before with it.
Rifle still does the same damage. I think this is actual buff since you can run berserker power + cleansing ire + double endure pain + heightened focus and that movement speed is not really needed now.
I do ‘more’ damage in pvp but you all know thats because of the boost in the amulets base stats.
New additions to the build encourage condition builds such as perplex hammer sword/shield warrior or hammer mace shield warrior or you know.. u get the point
Overall, I notice the same damage(power(RAW)) as before because I used to run 64004 and 60206 builds in pre patch.
New patch, I do same damage(less with longbow(zerkers)) but I sustain more because we can trait for condi clears(cleansing ire) and endure pain(defense trait line master trait).
ALL THESE THOUGHTS ARE from me AS A WvW player and no pvper or pver.
TLDR;
Warriors are not mobile as before in wvw
Warriors think they do more damage because most warriors never ran glass cannon pre patch
Warriors can run glass cannon + sustain(double endure pain, cleansing ire +berserkers power and heightened focus)
I do same damage but sustain more
Longbow nerfed(zerkers)
rifle gs
axe shield gs + bulls charge
against dire mesmers, alt + f4 and watch tv or play outside with your friends in the park.

Will this ever be fixed?
Also because of this problem, i bet many players have stopped using longbow so therefore no longer can detect further issues.
Further issues such as fan of fire and combustive shot are not 1.2k range
They are less than 1.2k range
Also, is the range of the burst before the patch was 1.2k and it is still 1.2k. Ill assume this was intended.
Please fix these!

If i hit enemies or npc’s, it will not proc at all.
Yeah I just hope it gets fixed in haste as im not wasting a t3 adren arcing slice, i save these for my longbow.

If you use it on enemy or monster, it will not proc

Why are you not even doing this? You can do other more complicated programming for other classes but easy programming for longbow burst skill you cannot? It takes about 10 seconds to fix it.
Copy paste your code for cleansing ire, replace cleansing ire with Berserker power trait.
If you want to not fix it and wait 10 years for a simple 10 sec fix, please GO AHEAD and just declare Longbow to no LONGER grant berserker power.
Anet just needs to copy paste the original code of cleansing ire and replace cleansing ire with berserker power trait in the code.
If anet does not truly care of this easy fix, then please release new patch notes STATING, “we nerfed longbow to no longer grant berserker power to be proc’d when using longbow burst skill because Anets condi mesmers with perma stealth and superior mobility can easily be bursted down.”

Now that we have to hit to gain the buff… does the buff actually apply to the burst skill? We used to be able to cancel the burst and retain the buff, meaning the buff got applied before the strike, but now it applies after checking for a hit. So does that mean our bursts’ damage no longer is augmented by the trait?
Yep. Yet LB burst remains unchanged. Honestly I don’t see how else they’d fix this broken bug, it was way too OP the way it was. I’d just wish it’d grant the bonus the moment your adrenaline gets depleted after using a burst rather than right when you press the burst skill or having to hit someone with it, otherwise the only weapon that really benefits from this trait is LB.
I cant even get this beserker power trait to work with my longbow any more. I stopped using longbow for meanwhile since the trait DOES NOT even work with it at all now.
Using F1(burst skill) on longbow does not proc berserker power trait when using fire field on floor without hitting enemies. It does not proc
Also hitting enemies with fire field does not proc it either.

I guess you dont use battle standard in zergs, I dont either when im in a pug zerg.
I also never throw my banners for my guild mates if they are poisoned. I tell them in team speak “g’day mate”.

Axe + gs builds will be even more viable though, maybe time to take out my frost fang lol(CI proc’ing on on burst and not on hit)
I have been running axe builds, but with these changes, those builds look like they’ll be too nerfed to continue running them now. Overall, axe builds seem to be less viable, not more viable with these changes.

Hmm if ur saying they are less viable because of how axe mastery is being positioned, then I am not too worried as I mostly used slashing power + berserker power for my current axe build. So I will be fine without axe mastery and will take berserker power.
Also I think I might just take heightened focus over burst mastery too. That internal cool down is very low and very interesting!

If you do not belong to organized groups, u SHOULD NOT be using this build or the meta of now for wvw zergs for warriors.
If you do not belong to organized groups then you should be running something like zerkers gears along with gs + rifle or gs + axe/shield or even gs + hammer and be part of the sidelines and dont even think of being in front lines. Basically use whatever you want but dont be in frontlines to be a rally bot.
If i pug along with a zerg, i will run gs/rifle or gs hammer or gs axe shield or even gs longbow
I will probably use 6/0/6/0/6 with
x,gs mastery, berserker power
rousing resilience, defy pain and dogged march
warrior sprint(+ immobilize removal for ratwells), brawler recovery and heighten focus
balance stance + endure pain and dolyak signet
00666 new wvw zerg build in organized groups
Sword/wh + hammer
cull the weak + defy pain + cleansing ire
Quick Breathing + empower allies + vigorous focus
Vengeful return +DoE + Merciless hammer
@YuiRS i do agree on that.
I am pretty sure you are only allowed to choose 3 trait lines but this time are allowed to max out 3 lines, you cant put 2 trait points in one line. Well you can but you will have an extra 4 points unspent because you cannot distribute among traits. The point of these new changes is so we can only choose 3 trait lines and max them out @ 6 each.

If i dont like the condition damage(Autos giving burn on attack while traited in tactics), ill go for 60606 for lb/gs build)
Hmm I roam with 62006 or 60206 builds atm in wvw with longbow and gs. I like longbows aoe fire and aoe dmg it gives with its burst. I dont really care for CI
. Thats why I will be going with brawler recovery + 1 cleansing sigil on my longbow gs builds and CI for my hammer build(to build up the adrenaline from being hit more easily to use for extra pressure).
Axe + gs builds will be even more viable though, maybe time to take out my frost fang lol(CI proc’ing on on burst and not on hit)
