i use every weapon for roaming, yes even warhorn. I switch it up every 30 to 45 minutes if i am roaming.

Need to be proficient with every weapon. I also switch up trait lines alot. I have 4 armor sets on my main warrior along with various trinkets/amulets.

only reason people still think its melee meta is because most guilds are still upgrading to boon share meta with lots of condition pressure

I quit playing warrior in blobs now, its either I have to play cc warrior(old skool) or play guardian and spam 1 on staff(which apparently does more damage than killshot lvl 3 to these boon share meta blobs).

I play scholar/full zerk warrior and last night my killshot hit for 200 damage level 3 and 1 dodge(extra 10% damage).

Yes My killshot does hit 10k to 25k at times but only on noobs who are visiting world v world.

Against this new meta, gvgs and blobs are taking so much little damage. crits for 800’s non crits for 200’s.

I been on my dragonhunter frontline, marauder/dura rune and spam 1 on staff doing more overall damage than my destroyer warrior AGAINST THIS boonshare meta.

The only real pressure from BOON SHARE blobs are THEIR CONDITIONS.

Please remove this, have you guys seen boon share blob versus another boon share blob? It was range META and no one went down for 30 minutes.

Fix boon sharing

Fix condition damage

Fix incoming DAMAGE reduction as there is way too much and encouraging people to run condition

If Berserker power returns to its old system when granting bonus % damage depending on how much adrenaline the player has. That would be nice for this damage reduction meta.

Piercing back on auto for rifle.

Crack shot revision to 10% more damage while wielding rifle and additional adrenaline gain when hitting enemy.

Shouts healing for bit more(increase base value to 1750)

Shouts clearing condition when traited

Banner CD reduction trait

So you want to defeat the entire purpose of people running reflect skills, just because? Don’t get me wrong, reflect uptime for some classes might be a wee bit much, but that’s entirely the wrong way to go about fixing it.

Very good build, i wish you never posted this. This is one of the builds i ran many many years ago and recently run it from time to time. Hits hard.

I actually found the old adrenal system (hold vs use) to be a bit of a bust, tbh. A much prefer the current approach, especially given that we currently lose all adren whether we hit or not.

No i mean just change the berserker power trait to old system(% damage)(passive)
Keep the current adrenal Health(on hit)

This would complete warrior along with a better fluid movement mechanic

I dont understand why you want to give warrior 33% reduced condition dmg and 10% reduced condition duration. Warrior right now has kind of the best condition management of all classes and already wins against necros and condi mesmers…soo… whats the point of that?

You know what it is, we need to bring back the old mechanism for berserker power.

+20 % outgoing damage while having 3 full adrenaline bars. With this, you can decide either to burst for condition clears and gain passive heals or keep up the dps.

Nerf Adrenal health because of its abuse in berserker mode with AoE burst skills.

Warrior sprint 33% movement speed because we are mainly melee oriented class who relies on moving around while other classes and their blinks easily out kite.(Imagine a master of warrior against a master of thief or any other class)

having swiftness going from Point A to B to C and a warrior having no swiftness but 25% movement trait and using gs5 rush skill from point A to B to C. Is about the same for both cases so whats the point of gs5, is it to deal inconsistent damage?.

Rifle killshot skill has a long cast and when you activate it, it shouldnt be doing 2000~4500 crit damage on 90% of the people in WvW for example. ( i use full zerk scholar runes and all the + 5 power infusions on every trinket/weapon and armor)

Pierce on auto for rifle because we need more range pressure in WvW and to get adrenaline built up faster for killshot.

Also why not have it balance so it ties in with many other classes who have short cds and autos that cleave from ranged?

Increase axe eviscerate damage, why? Its a melee oriented damage and it should be doing more or equal damage to rifle killshot(ranged) versus melee

Axe 5 for reflect, why? Make it viable in a meta of ranged enemies Why can revenant have hammer projectile block and still do damage from ranged? why cant warrior have projectile block or reflect in melee?

Need to increase Rush skill units to travel further and also faster from point A to B, why? most classes have blinks(instant cast teleports) while a person with swiftness can catch up right behind you while using rush skill.

FYI the new out of combat range in WvW for instant has reduced since the last balance patch without added notes. Its been becoming reduced in every major patch as well. (right now i believe it to be around 1600 units)

Berserk mode should be all about the rage for warrior a melee oriented class who goes deep into battle and frontline. Make it possible with a bit of incoming damage and conditional damage reduction (also rampage has-25% incoming damage think of rampage form)

additional -33% incoming movement condition durations, many classes are getting such (yes we have dogged march and imagine us stacking this? just like reapers for example)

How to counter this in balance form? out kite the berserker mode while its activated

Shout Fear me, make it more usable and viable in the meta of short cooldowns

increase shout heal to make it competitive with the burst meta

Shouts clearing 1 condition now, for the heavy bunker condition meta. Stack this with trooper runes for an additional clear and now your inline with guardians shouts. (aka balance)

Have the current banner trait which gives regen in discipline now grant -20% cooldown reduction on banners and grant damage in summoned area. (why?) Encourage people to use such banners in Pvp/WvW more and more.

Signet of rage cooldown to 40 seconds, why? 60 seconds is too long in this meta of short cooldowns.

Signet of might? This meta has too many blocks so an additonal cooldown reduction by 5 seconds would help more.

Utility endure pain 50 seconds? again this is a short cooldown meta(leave traited endure pain to its original 60 seconds)

Rifle killshot does true damage (ignores enemy players thoughness)

Rifle Crack shot mastery now grants 20% more damage and pierce to Rifle auto attack.

Axe burst skills increase damage by 15%

Axe 5 reflects incoming projectiles and missiles.

Increase Rush skill animation by 50% and increase range to 1600 units.

When in berserk mode, incoming damage and condition damage is reduced by 10%.

When in berserk mode, incoming movement conditions will have -33% reduced duration (chill, cripple, immob)

Shout Fear Me! CD now 40 sec

Increase shout heal from 1000 to 1650 and have healing power scale with a factor of 1.5

Shout mastery now grants 1 condition clear

Banner cooldown reduction by 20% and banners now do damage when summoned traits

signet of rage now grants 7 stacks of might, 25 seconds of fury and 25 seconds of swiftness with a cooldown of 40 seconds.

Signet of might 20 sec cd

Utility Endure pain CD now 50 sec
Berserker stance CD now 50 sec
Defiant stance CD now 25 sec

EDIT:

You know what it is, we need to bring back the old mechanism for berserker power.

+20 % outgoing damage while having 3 full adrenaline bars. With this, you can decide either to burst for condition clears or to burst for adrenal health stack OR KEEP THE DPS WITH FULL ADRENALINE.

if you want the ultimate build for wvw with good anti condi sustain and anti cc control which dishes out more damage than 99% of the wvw players.

Full zerk + melandru is hands down the best, pair it with -20% condi duration food such as loaf of saffron bread.

For zerg busting/blobs I like to use gs and hammer for mobility, damage and sustain.

Also for the celestial, its not that bad. I used to use celestial trinkets/amulet with berserker armor with tactics traitline(shouts heal). Really good sustain.

If you still want to stick with traditional warrior frontline sword warhorn with hammer, clerics armor with berserker trinkets/amulet is best option for increase healing on shouts along with trooper runes or even durability for party wide boons. With this you dont even need endure pain in utility, you can use shake it off balance stance and for great justice. (using rousing resilience) Smack on condition duration sword with condi duration sigil on sword and energy sigil on warhorn.

The goal with this build is to provide cc with hammer burst and rotation along with sword immobilize.

Eviscerate being a movement bug is because you need less than 50 ping to utilize it at its best.

Balance to warrior is needed

1st point for a small bugs

Shield bash, the movement is impaired with cripple and or chill.
Greatsword 2 skill gets interrupted upon enemies in stealth.

Nerf adrenal health by 33%
Have bursts in berserker mode give you 2 stacks of adrenal health per burst.

Have berserker mode give you 5% damage reduction on incoming physical and conditional damage with range of 600 units.
Have berserker mode grant -33% incoming condition durations AND -33% incoming stun and daze durations.

Shouts in tactics base heal increase from 1000 to 1650.

Have shouts now clear ONE condition when traited.

Have major grandmaster trait powerful synergy now grant double blast of fields.

Warrior sprint granting 33% movement speed instead of 25%.

Rush skill to go from point A to B 50% faster

Defy Pain procs at 35% now instead of 50%.

Make cast time on rifle #4 skill insta cast.

Include banner cool down reduction into banner trait in discipline.

Nerf rousing resilience healing by 50%

Make fast hands baseline.

twisted fighter was the name given.

Pretty sure he’s the one that posted his build a month ago….here. The endurance regen one. Just 90% passive regen and 100% on stance proc. I played the build for a good period and it was quite fun, just I found it rather ridiculous how long it took to fight players using blocks…..and the longer you fight the less of an advantage the warrior has….and the more likely the enemy will have friends that show up. Given I like to end fights as quickly as possible and move on….its not a build for me. It is quite fun as I said, and I’m sure with a partner you won’t run into the problems I do when running stuff like this solo. So if you run solo and ur fine getting bogged down by enemies that die respawn and die and respawn in such a manner where you are stuck fighting until they giveup…..then sure you really can’t go wrong with this build. Don’t expect to be solo’ing very many contested objectives though when there’s a wp nearby. Against more competent opponents though ur at a disadvantage due to only having 1 stability that you can’t control when it procs. There are better builds for burst and there are better builds for sustain. This one is a good middle ground and has alot of fun and control to it though. I prefer full burst though.

Idk man, I saw a warrior the other night running gs and a/sh, and he was unkillable 1v1. My Scrapper couldn’t even scratch him. I ended up needing help from a pug to bring him down, and even that was really close. So much regen.

What server was this warrior from?

Also first of all, berserker is the easiest class to play right now and survive on. Every noob warrior is playing it and get carried by AoE arcing divider granting them 3 stacks of adrenal health with a fast aoe.

Nerf adrenal health to 1 stack per burst during berserker mode.

Secondly, our mobility needs complete overwork. Most classes can go out of combat on will and demand. Make skills like rush and savage leap cast faster and go from point A to B much faster.

Make warriors sprint grant 33% movement speed instead of 25%.

A person with swiftness will travel same or more distance than a warrior with 25% movement speed while using whirlwind and rush to cover ground.

I would advise you to watch 7burts GW2 videos on youtube, he is an EU player with same philosophy as me. MAX POWER

I consistently hit lvl 2 evis 14k on light classes

I always hit 11k decaps, highest being 17k decap using defense over str(but it doesntg really matter except for the stick n move minor trait)

playing vanilla warrior, i hit 22k lvl 3 killshot on mesmer/chrono. no might no bloodlust/cruelty

ok other point is cruelty versus bloodlust(which i use in zergs.. have multiple weapon sets)

I feel i hit harder with bloodlust..like i said.. I FEEL. I do the same damage honestly

We survived as warriors for years without ez mode adrenal health. I roam without defense lines for the lulz and honestly only have trouble with other berserkers(not warriors) because of easy mode AoE burst proc for their adrenal health.

My response to this should have just been a vid of my Swap spamming T1 eviscerates in Spvp. I think i’ve pretty much figured out how to hit with nearly 100% accuracy with eviscerate. It may get Blocked of evaded, but i never miss because of glitches.

The secret

  • stop trying to hit with a T3 every time.
  • Eviscerate after using an action with a duration. (short casting)
  • Stop depending soley on eviscerate
  • Learn to dodge while remaining near your opponent
  • you can short cast out of a Dodge, and any movement skill.
  • For some treason Eviscerate is more accurate when you short cast it. For example: normal eviscerate without short cast for some reason goes to where the enemy WAS, but short casting it sends the Eviscerate where your camera is facing. so as long as you face where you want to Eviscerate you’ll notice that you bypass that stupid bug (which is not actually a bug but a side effect of targets changing positions while the attack is casting.)

PS: The same can be proven with every other Skill that has this problem. Even blade trail can be short cast in this way, which is pretty cool.

Also i noticed eviscerate is heavily dependent on your ping/avg ping

if 100+ ping you will not go the full 300 range listed

if 50 ping(not 60 or more) you will go about 300

with less than 50(about ~40) you will go 300 range but the evis hitting around 430 range(like auto attack range end of the animation)

oh yeah btw, can you give example how to do this short casting? do you mean like shield bash and then eviscerate?

It’s a pretty minor bar to meet in order to get additional healing that exceeds our best healing skill.

If you don’t have trouble with DH blocks and blinds to the point that they’re a “free bag”, then you shouldn’t have much trouble landing bursts against other classes… especially since it’s not like you have to land every one. And learning to bait out dodges, setup bursts, etc. is something you should be doing anyway.

His next post will be, he cant proc adrenal health nor cleansing ire against a mesmer/chrono because stealth and invuln.

You should always lose to a good guardian/DH period

The real tea here is, they are easy bags for me as well but one day you will meet your maker.

Never had problems on warrior before adrenal.

I zerg bust and solo roam.

Full zerker/scholar runes and for the giggles i run str dis and berserker for opness.

Never asked for adrenal health buff…was out of the blue for ANET

buffing base healing to 2000 hp will open up celestial builds or cleric mix with berserker or condition and open up tactis for longbow burn etc.

i play warrior and play every weapon set per day

I have one big suggestion for you guys who work on warrior/berserker.

Let movement speed affect our movement skills. At this current state of game a reaper can outrun a gs warrior(but not a gs/sword shield warrior ofcourse).

Tired of mesmer getting out combat after 1 blink and swiftness.

Tired of thief short bowing 2 times before going out of combat.

Tired of guardians using sword 2 with f2 leap and JI to go out of combat.

tired of all classes going out of combat.

only way to compete with these guys is to run a sword and gs build but still most classes will outpace me and you

and FYI a blink/teleport is instant while rush skills which need to move from terrain to 0 to 1200 range will take time.

A person with swiftness versus a warrior with base 25% movement speed who uses gs 3 and 5. the person with swiftness will catch up to the warrior no problem.

Howdy,

Right now in this state, warrior has pretty much easy mode sustain. I never had problems with warrior before this implementation of adrenal health. So we heal about 500 hp per sec with level 3 adrenaline burst or lvl 1 burst in berserker mode.

Lets nerf this adrenal health by 60% which will result in healing 200 hp per second. (3000 hp 15 seconds). While nerfing it by 60%, you can include a better scaling with healing power where you can encourage users to utilize healing power stats. For each healing power value, increase healing done over 15 seconds by factor of 5. So if you have 200 healing power, you will heal 4000 over 15 seconds or 266.66 per second with level 3 burst.

Increase base healing done by shouts from 1000 health points to 2000 health points and let it scale better with healing power by a factor of 2. So if you have 500 healing power, you will heal 3000 health points to yourself and allies per shout used.

Bring back banner CD reduction trait and re introduce it into discipline trait line(merge it with inspiring battle standard).

Reduce the utility skills cool downs for such skills:
Endure Pain: reduce CD from 60 seconds to 45 seconds(utility only)
Berserker stance : Reduce CD from 60 seconds to 45 seconds
Signet of Rage : from 60 seconds to 40 seconds.
Rampage : From 180 seconds down to 150 seconds while also increasing duration of rampage from 15 seconds to 18 seconds.

Hot fix for 100 blades canceling in mid channel.

OUT OF ALL THE BUGS THEY FIX A SKILL WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS NOT EVEN A BUG BUT A PLAYSTYLE.

Whats the point of having an immobilize that last for nothing while taking our lovely time to get the animation for the backward evade to be over then to spam the F1 skill just to wait another animation of the long animation of Killshot.

Wasnt the whole point of this skill to help land killshot? By the time your 4th skill on rifle is execute, the enemy is broken free of the immobilize.

Time to man up to the hot seat to whoever ‘fix’ this bug

and PLEASE dont introduce skills to players which isnt going to be used how it was advertised.

Because style points matter, and now that we can jump and execute brutal shot we’ll racking those points up!

Endure Pain

ok guys I play a lot of warrior and zerg bust too. The recent balance patch has fixed this endure pain bug for me

but it only bugs out when i use the utility endure pain while @ or below 25% hp(when defy pain is not proc’d)

and getting hit by enemy procs the defy pain trait which then bugs out endure pain.

Eviscerate affected by chill and cripple
-Animation is proof enough

Warrior Greatsword skill 5 is affect by Cripple(Did not test chill)
-Animation is fine(doesnt affect animation for some reason)
– The distance traveled is lessened. (you will be hitting the air with rush 5)

Endure pain glitch at 25% hp or less.
– When you use Utility endure pain at low hp at or below 25% hp(when passive Defy pain does not proc), You will take damage from enemy(0 damage as shown) but this will proc Defy pain and nullify endure pain altogether.

Bring in the bugs guys

I ran axe shield gs frontline warrior in zergs couple years back with rousing resilience and full zerker armor

ATM i roam with axe gs shield but not with rousing resilience, it was nice on my viper mace build for roaming but I like last stand better since vigor OP.

Here is a quick video I made yesterday using marauder armor + durability runes and zerker trinkets. Using strength def/dis lines.

Haha, you traded up your first slot for Stamina Sig for the (new) stackability with vigor! I tried it for about an hour but missed ma Frenzy too much (for the stun break, 8s quickness and 11s of (5) might). Didn’t give it much of a chance though… how do you like it?

I feel i dont need the 2nd stun break, i try to save EP for it. I replace it with frenzy or balance stance when i go in zergs though
