A war should never lose to a condi necro. Everytime I play my war, necros are the least of my problems. This is an easy match up for a warrior.

i am not saying about definition like that you said which class should pwn which class easily. I know, war could win nec easily with balanced, and berserker stance combo stuff that just become immune to cond. but i do not think that should be corrrect way to balance the game actually, that specific build should pwn specific build easily. why? With this kinda way of making builds, it make each builds look very cheap then. (Becuz it works for just specific thing only, just like you set pulling engi build for ****ing skyhammer only) As i told you, whether or not having stability, even though you got all his fear, however, there must be like 3 sec that i can perform any attack between each interval of fear, if i can’t becuz of perma fear, its balance is broken.

Yeah, also Reversely, if war can pwn nec with berserker and balanced stance So that easily, then just nerf both stnace as well as necro fear interval would be ideal to balance game then. perosonally i think berserker stance’s complete immune to cond for 10sec since last patch is op though.

I am not saying this simply becuz i lost to him. this build was just too much overwhelming that shows completely broken balances. i have seen tons of builds sometimes i lose and win but this build was just untouchable.

A month ago Zombi and Nos both ran the build in the 2v2s and lost in the finals.

I think it was hard countered by Diamond Skin iirc

I am not saying this simply becuz i lost to him in duel. this build was just too much overwhelming in duel that shows completely broken balances. i have seen tons of builds so far around 2000 games in pvp ladder, sometimes i lose but also win over high ranked people by a head, But this build was just untouchable. Again, there should have been at least only 3sec ,between each interval of fear, that allow opponent to attack without reference to whether having stability or not if this isnt broken balance.

Balanced stance should not give swiftness

why? giving swiftness just make no sense with its name. theorically or scientifically if you run faster normally human must lose its balance right? and also warrior already have 30sec swiftness on battlerage signet, while similar heavy type class like guardian has no swiftnesss from using elite that blocks for 2~3sec. but i think it would give like, protection or aegis buff instead.

yeah for this build, nerf is necessary man, as many stated above. it is just too op and unbeatable, or, just untouchable becuz of perma fear", unless you specifically set all your build and utility to pwn only this build. the most op build I have ever seen during the life of this game, during around 2000 pvp rank games. only necros here are defending this build though.

I’ve never seen him play (on twitch, not vs), but I’d imagine he is timing his skills to your evades/heals/condi clears/weapon swaps/etc. Smart play like that is why noscoc is killing you and random necros with the exact build don’t.

Not really. it seem he just activate fear when getting close and try to use any skill. the problem is it was permanent fears having no interval between them that shouldnt be for balances. Maybe i will need to find other ways to deal with those perma fear and cond and ranged minions

If so, then I am glad to announce that their damage on a condition build is neglectable, and is only used as a stunbreak/teleport… Guess what, if you kill it, he does not have it anymore! Oh my God, such tactics! I am clearly exploiting the game by my knowledge!

Also, 2 minions does not equal many minions… Then again, who am I kidding, a guy who does not even know a build/class/utilities should never, and I repeat, ever say something about balancing…

what if he equip celestial build that is hybrid to have both physical and cond dmg? and told you, perma fear + perma cond cannot even make me to get close to him, which means it makes really hard to kill those minions by getting closer cuz he will always be near to them. 2+1 so 3 minions in total.

I am not saying that his build is strong becuz of its passive cheese things. I mean Noscoc is very skilled player and he know when to use fear to make its effect the best. but what I mean is that the build itself is extremely OP (perma fear + perma cond + very short cooltime between many fears). 3 fears within only 20 sec is just too much ( you know warrior’s “fear me”? we can use only 1 time within 48, or 60, sec. comparing this to his 3 fears within 20sec. it is just too much and OP) enough not to give any ATTACK CHANCE to his opponent while avoiding any his critical attack skills. I think Anet should shorten it a bit to make it balanced.

Yes, shorten the tools of Necromancer’s condition combat without compensation because you claim it is so OP…

How about you settle for Necro for a few days, create a build that is not centered around DS DPS or Fears+Conditions that can peform just as well as the other two in the higher end of PvP… No worries, you got at least 6 months after the patch to do so, I would be delighted by your answer…

Also, while we are at it, can we also get the other meta builds removed? I hate getting killed by those… It makes no sense for me as a Scepter/Focus support Mesmer to be outplayed by a build that is better than mine, even if I refuse to get the proper defense agains the build…

Or, get some Stability/CC’s/Mobility/Cleansing/Dodging skills, and we can talk again…

Lol, there are an incredible amount of poor sports in tpvp. In 90% of my matches before I turned off map chat, at least one member on the losing team would either:

- Insult his teammates for their lack of skill.
- Insult the winning team, saying they were all running “cheese builds” or zerging.
- Insult any particular member on the winning team that killed him and demand a 1 v 1, then call them names.
- Ragequit and sit in his spawn complaining in map chat.
- Ragequit out of the entire client, sometimes returning a couple minutes later to complain that the match wasn’t over yet.
- Put the blame for the loss of the match on particular members of his own team, insulting them in both team and map chat. Sometimes, if this poor sport is put on the same team as that person again, they’ll rage before the match even starts about how they keep getting put with ‘noobs’ or ‘scrubs’ or whatever, and make a point to let EVERYONE in the ENTIRE MAP know that their teammate is a bad player (according to them).

These are only a few I could remember from before I started turning off map chat, but the list goes on lol. I tpvp still because I don’t like the maps in SPVP and I generally do pretty well (and I’m trying to get the Champion Magus title for the second time), but it’s these kinds of players that drain the fun out of it.

Personally, I don’t mind losing one bit. I know that there are teams that went through the trouble of organizing all 5 of their members on teamspeak, all with the builds that they thought would be strongest for the situation, and I respect that a lot of times pugs like me are at a disadvantage there. I also know that there are a lot of much better players, especially in pvp, and that’s what makes pvp exciting: you never know who you’ll be up against.

It’s the poor sports that drain the fun out of it though. While there are plenty of good sports in pvp too, who will say GG after every match no matter what and even call out players to compliment them on their skill, there are just way too many poor sports.

The build is 4/6/0/0/4 with the dark path GM trait and nightmare runes. Yeah it’s strong in 1v1, and hard to beat as a condi warr, But that doesn’t make it OP.

It is OP. if it isnt OP, there should be only at least 5 sec to counterataack which i can perform to him, but there isnt only 1~2 sec given to me to do any counterattack, meaning that it was just continuous perma fearing + perma conds + no cooltime gaps upon opponent so it makes it is op, definitely. JUST LOOK, PERMA FEAR + PERMA CONDS (at least 5 kinds of) + almost no COOLTIME GAP, isnt it OP? JUST LOOK.

Warrior should typically beat necromancer (assuming you haven’t blown certain cooldowns like Beserker’s Stance, Balanced Stance or Signet of Stamina). You get free condition removals through cleansing ire too. Avoid getting flesh golem charged into a wall (example: http://www.twitch.tv/demonold/c/5010436). Try to make your hammer stuns and longbow aoes hit both the necro & the minions. You’re that warhorn warrior, so that’s even more condition removal. If you’re having an even worse time against this build only, run a sigil that removes conditions via crits or hits (not like you need sigil of battle in team fights anyways with permanent might upkeep via team fields and blasts especially not when you die to every necro). Position is key to fighting any class as well, if you let someone line of sight you (use the environment to their advantage) constantly while you sit on a point or blatantly out in the open then you’ll most likely die to any class. Lastly, play necro, you won’t be very good at beating another class until you understand how it works. Playing > reading in the scheme of training.

Noscoc’s necro build is so OP. if i try to get close to him, continus bunch of conds(at least 5 kinds) and fear. it just cannot make me fight in close. Otherwise if i want to fight in ranged, golem’s charge and other minion’s ranged attacks on me even though i have pretty much distance between him and me, and following me. Also, it seems like its cooltimes of skills aren’t that long cuz he can do this * continuously and permanently. it is just too OP. even 8000dmg torment + burning did not work on him. it seem like he have pretty much suvivality skils as well as dmg. how can i beat him WITHOUT STABILITY? answer plz

PERMA FEAR + PERMA CONDS (AT LEAST 5 KINDS) + ALMOST NO COOLTIME GAP + PERMA MINIONS, HOW TO WIN THIS OP NECRO BUILD?

Is there people who actually get angry too much if he/she lose in team pvp? Personally i mostly play soloq so idk if those kinda people really exist. for example, shout or blame some1 over mic…with… swearing or abusing? have you guys seen this kinda people?

And also, if exists, do you mostly play with him later again since you knew his personality, or just ignore?

No sane player above Dolyak rank (with some exceptions) will

*sit there for 100b.
*sit there for 4 (which is not instant cast)
*sit there for 5 (which is also not instant cast)
*sit there for current burst, which means no perma fury for you.

I don’t know what you’re "gg"ing about. there’s no crowd control on GS (with the exception of cripple for a slow-traveling projectile) and most of its skills are easily evaded or blocked, with the exception of skill 3 and the AA.

I’d take sword over GS anyday. Without the burst change, GS is not self sufficient against opponents that can kite.

We felt that the warrior maintained their adrenaline a little too well, in that there wasn’t a real consequence to missing with an adrenaline skill or simply keeping it from fight to fight. We’ll be adjusting adrenaline so that it’s lost if you miss with a burst ability as well as draining slowly when you exit combat. With these changes, however, we will be updating the greatsword’s adrenaline burst ability to be a cleaving, execution-style attack more fitting for the weapon. In addition to this, we’ll be updating multiple skills and traits, increasing and decreasing some adrenaline-gain abilities, and addressing multiple traits to have better effects.

and those 3~5 th skills of GS has pretty high dmg, for 3rd skill you dmgs around 3000~5000 on heavy type golem(i saw sometimes it hits even 6000~8000 but not common) if you correctly set its direction, 4th skill has 1500~2500, 5th skill has 2000~4000 dmg actually. It is not really low dmg even though you exclude 100b dmg from its overall dmg. lets compare it to regular sword+warhorn build’s dmg… sword elite (bleed+physical dmg)2000 but takes 2.5sec to be hit them all, final thrust 2000 but takes 1 sec to activate, leaping 2nd skill is 1000 but it is really easy to dodge for enemy so in total 5000 dmg for 4~5sec but GS’s only 3~5th skills can dmg around 10000 and they are all instant skill that does not take time like sword’s flurry. Or maybe they uses wrong amulet for gs, if you equip gs Then berzerk amulet is must have. and 100b on downed foe using stability stance is like hell and gg for enemy team actually.

And also GS has best mobility among weapons and grants you perma fury actually. And as long as I know, Gs/longbow is one of best build for dueling/far point assaulter for Warrior. There is already notable evidence. I know several guys in dueling arena uses this build all the time and they used to be top1 in soloq or teamq in the recent and past days(i wont mention their names here). This fact anyways proves gs/lb is pretty good at current state as well. but I have never seen warhorn or mace war keeping himself within top50 for a long time(lets say 2 week), but Instead I saw many hambow/GS/axe-sword/cond war keeping themseleves within top50 for a long time. There is one warhorn warrior who hits top100 but he doesnt seem like keeping this good ranks for a long time. so that means warhorn war is inferior than those weapons in spvp, not wvw.

Therefore, if there is weapon to upgrade for warrior as needed in spvp, NOT WVW becuz i am talking about effectivenesss of it in SPVP only, I always says it: mace and warhorn are to be upgrade first then others if needed.

Warhorn doesn’t need anything else. 20 second blast finisher and 15 second movement impediment wipe.

plus you have a main hand weapon.

GS got improved because it was incredibly bad at doing anything except running away and auto attack, so they nerfed the move that doesnt hit anyone anyway and gave them a 360 degree aoe so people would be more compelled to slot it for something other than escaping/zergmachine/pvd.

can you plz upgrade warhorn as well?
can you grant us some stability for 2~3sec and small amount of adrenaline whenever i use warhorn skill, or longer weakness duration plz. we are very bad at dmging right now nor do good supporting like guardian bunker.

There are much more greatsword/longbow warrior than warhorn warrior in its population of spvp actually. if you try to upgrade the weapons that isn’t popular at all for warrior in spvp, warhorn and mace are to be upgraded first but not greatsword.

Greatsword is one of hardest weapon to master for warrior actually. but if you can master it becomes very useful and powerful weapon actually, meaning that bad and hard weapon for noobs to implement but one of best weapons type for warrior expert. why it is hard? becuz it has 100b skill therefore many people try to focus on hitting it correctly with 100b but actually that is wrong way to implement GS well. You will more focus on hitting with rather 3,4,5th skills with GS but only use 100b when the best situation comes for you to use it: like, upon downed foe, or foe that comes you closer to do sonething and etc.

and those 3~5 th skills of GS has pretty high dmg, for 3rd skill you dmgs around 3000~5000 on heavy type golem(i saw sometimes it hits even 6000~8000 but not common) if you correctly set its direction, 4th skill has 1500~2500, 5th skill has 2000~4000 dmg actually. It is not really low dmg even though you exclude 100b dmg from its overall dmg. lets compare it to regular sword+warhorn build’s dmg… sword elite (bleed+physical dmg)2000 but takes 2.5sec to be hit them all, final thrust 2000 but takes 1 sec to activate, leaping 2nd skill is 1000 but it is really easy to dodge for enemy so in total 5000 dmg for 4~5sec but GS’s only 3~5th skills can dmg around 10000 and they are all instant skill that does not take time like sword’s flurry. Dmg i described here are all tested by heavy type golem.

Or maybe they uses wrong amulet for gs, if you equip gs Then berzerk amulet is must have. and 100b on downed foe using stability stance is like hell and gg for enemy team for that part of fight actually.

And also GS has best mobility among weapons and grants you perma fury actually. And as long as I know, Gs/longbow is one of best build for dueling/far point assaulter for Warrior. There is already notable evidence. I know several guys in dueling arena uses this build all the time and they used to be top1 in soloq, or teamq maybe but not sure its performance in teamq, in the recent and past days(i wont mention their names here). This fact anyways proves gs/lb is pretty good at current state as well. but I have never seen warhorn or mace war keeping himself within top50 for a long time(lets say 2 week), but Instead I saw many hambow/GS/axe-sword/cond war keeping themseleves within top50 for a long time. There is one warhorn warrior who hits top100 but he doesnt seem like keeping this good ranks for a long time. so that means warhorn war is inferior than those weapons in spvp, not wvw.

Therefore, if there is weapon to upgrade for warrior as needed in spvp, NOT WVW becuz i am talking about effectivenesss of it in SPVP only, I always says it: mace and warhorn, rifle are to be upgrade first then others if needed.

Let’s compare it to league of legends or other moba games, you can buy item with golds you earned by killing enemy players. This game, yes it can stack perma attribute until we got downed. however the problem is that this game only allow only one kind of those things to be stacked even though i put two different attribute-stacking sigils into two different wepaons each. that;s why I should put same sigil into both 2 weapons becuz idk at which weapon an enemy would die. (yes it is one slot waste)

Since this game doesn’t provide shop to buy items that boosts perma attributes like League of Legends, it is very hard to survive until one round ends than other games. To compensate that this game should allows at least 2 kinds of attribute-stacking sigil by killing i guess.

you know? in league of legends, lets say you are teamed up with 4 other noobs but you are very very skilled, but you can still win becuz it is possible for you to make continuous KILLSTREAKs in other moba games but this game it is almost impossible cuz we all have same stat from the beginning to end, which means you will anyway, motly lose if you meet 4 noobs in your team even thought you are world rank top guy.

And people knows this hardship of survivimg, so that;s why currently not many people uses this attribute-stacking sigils for this reason.

hi i just wonder since there is no resign, i got angry whenever teamed with noobs or skyhammmer map. so in those cases, i rather just want to simply close the game when the round obviously going to be lose. but i do care if there is like perma ban. i dont care 1week ban, but i care is perma ban. is there?

Warhorn war improvements

hi i am warhorn war and feel bad that i am likely quit now otherwise you anet improve warhorn war. gg

1. improve flurry by making it just single one shot, not multiple hit.
2, stack speed by its intensity up to 50%, not duration.
3. bring not just soldier rune but rune for shout that also gives might stack or might duration or, power.
4. at least 2 cond conversion into boons for warhorn skill. why we should spend valuable 1sec for just converting only 1 condition? if you meet cond engi or necro getting multiple conds are very common but only I only convert 1 cond among like, 5~6 conds??? and it is totally random boon so almost no effectiveness even if it is converted since we don’t know which boons we would get.
5. change warhorn skills to shout skills. so bring us more survivality.

why claim this? since april’s update other hambow/gsbow/axe-sword war got improved becuz of stupid strength rune but no imrpovement on warhorn.

otherwise i quit gw2 now every war just use hambow or gsbow or cond war.
but i really dont want to use other’s those build i rather quit so.

The most important thing when we duel is to know their weapon type. unfortunately it is not easy to recognize asuran’s weapon type cuz they are small and their weapon also look small. just make only their weapon size bigger or show what weapon they are equipping on character info window.(when we clicked them)

It was always 10s ICD. Dogged march isn’t useful in PvP cleansing ire covers condi removal .

The regen you get is on a 10s ICD HOWEVER. All impeding conditions are reduced by 33% IE cripple chilll immob. You just don’t get the regen every time you get those conditions.

oh so those conditions always get reduced its duration but only healing regen has 10sec cooldown..hm

I remembered it has no recharge time but it now has 10sec? was it nerfed or originally 10sec cooldown time was there? i think only 420 healing regen per 10sec after hit by those conditions is useless though

Didn’t you see from my original thread saying about, “Hitting top100 isn’t important but keeping yourself within top100 is extremely harder”? If I were you, I would only say I am qualified top100 only if I can keep this rank that is within top100 for more than a month by playing at least 5 rounds in one week. You’re assumung that I’m matched against equally skilled players only at a higher ranking? If that would be the case I’d also have to be matched against similar skilled players at lower ranking, making these win-streaks theoretically impossible (yet, they happen very often, as I already said). That’s why – in my opinion – luck and other factors like the day-time you’re playing seem to be more important than skill in terms of ranking.
Or how would you explain these win-streaks, when you say that I’m too bad to play up there? Since I’m not the ultra-pro player carrying the whole team the only explanation left would be luck – and that’s my point.

And I also had these win-streaks at rank 100-150 placing me at ~40 at the end of the day, or 9-9 at rank ~100 (that’s how it should be). So I also wouldn’t say that I’m not qualified to play up there.

Every people experience afk guy, 4vs5, teaming with noobs stuffs. Since it affect people samely, that shoudln’t be excuse to make people not to play soloQ. and like i said, real skilled people like Jorse, Hao actually can keep themselves within top100 regardless of that luck or bad luck happens. so it means they are qualified to become top100 in real.

Things like these (attachement) happen way too often and it shows that leaderboard-ranking is at least 50% luck based on maps, played class, team matchups, 4v5, afkers and so on.

Would you say I’m a noob based on the 6 looses on one day? Would you say I’m a pro because of the 7 wins in a row? I was lucky yesterday with the team-compositions – I could almost certainly say before the start of the matches that my team would win. Based on these wins/losses (and the resulting ranking) one can’t really say that I was the the factor that caused the losses or these wins and if I’m a good or a bad player.
My win-ratio is stable at about 55% but still I’m jumping up and down more than 500 ranks a week due to good or bad luck.

I eventually found him in dueling arena and checked his build.
Here is his build.

I won’t tell you his name but this guy is a guy who rotate within top100 only in soloQ. (his rank never goes out of top100) He is also the one who hit top1 exactly 7 days ago. He plays like 20 matches daily so he is not like the cheating people who just play only 1 time per a week to bring his rank back to leaderboard.

This must be same build as he runs in tourney as well cuz I saw he had many minions in tourney too.

So, I ask you all pro-necromancers, is this pretty decent build?

if you do good on teamQ, it means:
you are pretty good when you are supported and when you feel intimacy. ok you are sociable.

if you do good on soloQ, it means
You are lonely wolf. You performs better than others when everything look undetermined and not organized. You don’t need parent’s support however you can do well alone.

if you good at both, it means you got doctor’s degree in guildwars 2 ok?

Hao is a hybrid minionmancer. Not the zerk or condi build. I’ve faced him a bunch, and im almost 100% sure hes hybrid. Might be power/bunky though….

Hi.

Light of WvW maps EXCEPT Edge of the Mist map are not BRIGHT and not enough so my dye color especially gold and white dyed armors look creepy.

White colored armor look black+white in those maps. Gold color dyed armors look completely creepy.

Can ANET make wvw maps brighter in day time of those maps almost same degree as Edge of the mist’s light(sunshine) intensity?
