unfortunately there is no zealot amulet in pvp so use cele instead.
use combustive shot to make you protected from enemy by staying inside of burning area.

but i don’t recommend using it. The reason is that stupid anet removed condi bleed from rifle and became sucks than ever.

Amulets that have more than 3 stats have greater sum of all stats. That’s by design. Berserker amulet has 2364 stats while a typical 3 stats amulet 2232. Celestial is obviously out of proportions with 3066, but that doesn’t mean it should have just 2232. It should be shaved first to something like 2800 (7×400 instead of 7×438) and then react on how it behaves.

Nah, just delete cele from game so we can have many roles for many kind of team comps. dd cele now is way too perfect : has mobility, has dmg, has supportive skills, is tanky

Because people are having more trouble making a living on computer games. Games are made now to be more console friendly and less PC friendly. Is that really better for you?

I’m skeptical that SteamOS, or Linux in general, would be a highly profitable market to port GW2 to. Linux has a whole only has about a 1.34% market share, and I’d say (completely anecdotally) that a not-insignificant amount of those users run some form of Windows on the side, especially if they’re gamers. SteamOS will definitely encourages some growth of Linux-based gaming, but “only able to download beta from some secret website” isn’t exactly a firm foundation at the moment.

Android is also another linux distro for just ARM cpu(not x86 but actually there is x86 version of Android as well that can be run on desktop PC), so it becomes

Recently I removed Windows and installed Valve’s FREE Gaming OS called SteamOS instead, and it is really great OS for gamer In terms of, Play Station-look-like user interface, OS built-in game app store, built-in messengers exclusively for gamers, built-in voice chat system, built-in recording and broadcast Streaming tool and etc. This gaming OS has just everything that ptofessional gamer are usually in need of.

Currently only games that looks nice here is just CSGO, Borderlands series and Dota 2. But they are shooter and moba game. There isn’t great MMO in SteamOS yet.

So plz make SteamOS version of GW2 so I can play thx. you guys will make a lot of profits from Steam users anyway.

esport? never happen. here is why

1. not f2p, this is the biggest reason.

2. only use 14 keys(f1~f4 and 5 skills, 5util and heal and elite skills) in total while other mmo like tera has like more than 24+keys available to use. the game is too easy that couldnt be called competive esport game. this gsme need to expand key slots for more competitive play, i would say we need to have at least 20+keys for skills.

Too much depends on builds. seriously, there are even people “it is my build!! i am real creator of ~~” but actuallly that shouldnt happen in esport game that many many pvper play cuz it makes other player feel sick when they have duplicate build but claiming each other i am the original or something equivalent.

i havent played this game since pvp arena become total grinding arena, but anyway i used to play rifle / longbow build as well, for fun.

Rifle is in condi line(arm), and last patch you lost its condi from rifle but still rifle trait is in arm trait. it still definitely make rifle not useful as long as it is in arm trait coz it has no condi.

Anet, You have made brutal shot cast time decreased by half , just like i posted before in warrior forum that its too long cast time does not allow us to do else, and also killshot time decreased as well. thx anet for that.

But i think we need condi back rather than double adrenaline gain. otherwise you need to swtich rifle trait from arms to power or tactics line cuz gaining adrenaline under the condition of vulnerability sounds more like tactics purpose, or power becuz now rifle has no condi dmg. and put longbow trait from tactics to arms cuz longbow is definitely hybrid weapon.

And I actually more liked if anet gave killshot no cooldown time for cancelling killshot, than upcoming killshot casting time decrase patxh. lol then we can make ,like, fake action a lot. Kilshot > cancell if enemy stop moving but look at me lot > killshot it sounds pretty much tactical. you may put this kind of trait into tactics trait line.lol

i think this kind of design is what warrior should be like. warrior has no f2, f3, f4 skills, or additional skills like grenade engi does. If you compare it to real life. elementalist are defintely ingelligent and has more knowledge than warrior, who is brutal barbarian. as a intelligent person, they should have more knowledge(f2,f3,f4 and its skills) than warrior (just f1). but as brutal one like k-1 fighter, they shouldnt have more skill than intelligent people as lack in knowledge, but be able to move faster(more vigor and running speed), or do fake movement(like martial art or boxing) than them.

I am not comparing by genre or type of the game. Esport could be any type of game but there is one certain rule that never changes and samely applies on any esport game, that is the amount of its playing users. There are not decent duel melee builds but decent build integrated with longbow.

There are many reason why many people uses longbow, but the biggest reason is following : Most warrior have cleasing ire trait. Only longbow allows you to use that cleasing ire without worry to miss (even though you have blind at the moment) but just hit on the ground and, you get condition removed. Only longbow is best weapon that work best with cleasing ire. (i would say cleasing ire is useless if you dont use longbow)

And also, you cant melee in WvW if you are WvW user. you will die first if you are full melee in zerg fight.

Third, longbow represents at least 2 skills that are wide attack, not just single target. it is very effective in team fight, spvp or wvw.

If you want to make a full melee build, you will definitely vulnerable to condition. I think you need to equip warhorn instead of longbow, and with its “warhorn converts condition into boons” trait in tactics trait, to cover that your conditional weakness.

nah, just completely remove solo submit on merged arena. only allow 5 people premade. the fact that never changes is farming pvp, even though thet bring back.

Actually, there isn’t a real creator of Swrod-Warhorn build but many co-finder.

The first viable sword-warhorn PvP users was me and another user called “The Mercy Goddess”, we were friend since I found him using same warhorn set by chance (I just wanna be friend of him becuz at that era, most people only run hambow stuff or gsbow stuff. I felt lonely lol). The Mercy Goddess was decent warrior player who was hovering at top end of the leaderboard.

The Mercy Goddess used it on first ToL around march or april. But Mercy Goddess was faster finder than me anyway becuz I heard he is a huge older player of gw2 than me (I found this build myself though)

That is why this build has many co-finer, ROM or whoever. I think every people claiming himself finder of sword and warhorn set found this build set by themselves though, cuz they are also decent warrior player. So, there are many co-finder.

This is my WvW version of duel ranged warrior build that I used in sPvP ranked arena before (I used celestial amulet instead, because anet doesnt release zealot amulet for pvp)

I am pretty sure this is best rifle build if you forcefully push yourself to use the Warrior’s weakest weapon, Rifle. Always like and greet people like you trying to struggle with hardships, just put celestial amulet in PvP mode since there isnt zealot amulet in PvP. Here we go.

If you use Rifle/ longbow, you have to go shout line becuase there isn’t a good way to make Killshot hit correctly without Fear me combo. Killshot will be missed mostly if you don’t make any combo with it (it is easiest to be dodged) And also you have to go shout line to supplement endurance by shout heal since duel ranged seem very reckless. And you have to know how to pick out enemy’s critical skill, such as eviscerate and earth quake, and dodge it cuz you have no vigor recharge : you can’t random dodge. This requires Warrior’s the most experience.

I will tell you the trick I used for this build.

Since you are duel ranged, you are not good at close fight.
Therefore, you gotta use Longbow’s elite skill, Combustive shot, to make your protective field that you stay in while you uses rifle. Then your enemy won’t get close to you while you are in rifle mode. And its duration, Combustive shot, is 9 sec. Most of Warrior have -5 sec decreased weapon swap time. So you can cover, or protect, yourself with this burning area for 9 sec, which is enough time to use rifle and get back to longbow. Longbow is kinda strong weapon in close fight even though it is ranged weapon. If enemy doesn’t come to close cuz you stay in burning area? no worry, you are full ranged war ranger, just keep shooting at him lol

Be sure, I have dueled a lot of people with this build. The natural enemy of this build is thief. Frankly, I mostly win thief, they just knock out when my killshot hit and volley followed. However, there is exception. Dodge spam thief like, Magic Toker the one in Abjured The World Champion Level, he did beat me while I used this build, very close though. (I only lost to thief who are at Magic Toker level with this duel ranged build) He kept losing to me at first few rounds, but later, he found the WAY to deal with this rifle / longbow build as world champion-class decent thief, so he won me later rounds. Anyway, I removed this build from my twitch for that weak point but I will re-post it if anet would buff rifle by any chance. (rifle itself as of now is too weak, and Anet even nerfed rifle by removing bleed. every1 want it buffed in the future, right? i hope anet would put back some cond dmg like bleed just like before into rifle to make perfect set with cele amulet and decrease killshot cast time. I don;t think it will happens though) Well, You will mostly win thief with this build anyway unless he is dodge spam thief with many reflection skill.

But I think it is ok. the thief I lost to with this build is world best champion level thief anyway. And also, Arenanet made rifle too sucks and even nerfed. I did my best.

Always don’t waste Rifle’s 2nd and 5th skill. when some1 got close to you, use 5th rifle skill then 2nd skill after pushing him back.

This build is very strong against Engi or necro since it is full ranged, but, very weak against full melee type like thief or meditation gs/sword-focus guardian. But you can still win if you get to master level of this duel ranged build.

I also recommend you learn about “Backshot” trick, that is, you have to set key that shows backside of your character while running front. Duel ranged warrior uses this feature a lot cuz you will have to deal with “run and hit” tactics. Luckily, you can use 3th and elite skill of longbow to backside even though you running front but camera looking backside by pressing that key you bound. (watch http://www.twitch.tv/the_korean_gamer/c/5666048 to know how to do this trick) You can use this trick not only with Longbow but with hammer though : make yourself look like running away but hit all of sudden.

If you use Rifle/ longbow, you have to go shout line becuase there isn’t a good way to make Killshot hit correctly without Fear me combo. Killshot will be missed mostly if you don’t make any combo with it (it is easiest to be dodged) And also you have to go shout line to supplement endurance by shout heal since duel ranged seem very reckless.

I will tell you the trick I used for this build.
Since you are duel ranged, you are not good at close fight.

Therefore, you gotta use Longbow’s elite skill, Combustive shot, to make your protective field that you stay in while you uses rifle. Then your enemy won’t get close to you while you are in rifle mode. And its duration, Combustive shot, is 9 sec. Most of Warrior have -5 sec decreased weapon swap time. So you can cover, or protect, yourself with this burning area for 9 sec, which is enough time to use rifle and get back to longbow. Longbow is kinda strong weapon in close fight even though it is ranged weapon. If enemy doesn’t come to close cuz you stay in burning area? no worry, you are full ranged war ranger, just keep shooting at him lol

Be sure, I have dueled a lot of people with this build. I motly won thief, they just knock out when my killshot hit and volley followed, but dodge spam thief like, Magic Toker the one in Abjured The World Champion Level, he did beat me while I used this build, very close though. (I only lost to thief who are at Magic Toker level with this duel ranged build) He kept losing to me at first few rounds, but later, he found the WAY to deal with this rifle / longbow build as world champion-class decent thief, so he won me later rounds. Anyway, Therefore I removed this build from my twitch but I will re-post it if anet would buff rifle by any chance. (rifle itself as of now is too weak, and Anet even nerffed rifle by removing bleed. every1 want it buffed in the future, right? i hope anet would put some cond dmg like bleed before into rifle to make perfect set with cele amulet and decrease killshot cast time) Well, You will mostly win thief with this build anyway unless he is dodge spam thief with many reflection skill.

Always don;t waste Rifle’s 2nd and 5th skill. when some1 got close to you, use 5th rifle skill then 2nd skill after pushing him back.

This build is very strong against Engi or necro since it is full ranged, but, very weak against full melee type like thief or meditation gs/sword-focus guardian. But you can still win if you get to master level of this duel ranged build.

I also recommend you learn about “Backshot” trick, that is, you have to set key that shows backside of your character while running front. Duel ranged warrior uses this feature a lot cuz you will have to deal with “run and hit” tactics. Luckily, you can use 3th and elite skill of longbow to backside even though you running front but camera looking backside by pressing that key you bound. (watch http://www.twitch.tv/the_korean_gamer/c/5666048 to know how to do this trick) You can use this trick not only with Longbow but with hammer though : make yourself look like running away but hit all of sudden.

But lose celestial amulet but put settler amulet instead. also, lose reckless dodge at power trait and put 5 point into defense trait to obtain armored attack. and for sigil, i recommend geomancy that bleeds(this dmgs 2000), sigle of intell that crits(or burst sigil) at sword and warhorn, put battle sigil and energy for longbow.

But i would say this 100% bunker war isnt that as efficient as guardian bunker. if you want pro pure bunker, go guardian bunker. warrior bunker is like, bunker who can do some damages. anet made warrior machanism like this so there isnt a way to become full pro bunker for warrior.

Hi. I am Best Warrior Korea. Frankly, mesmer is OP as same level as dd ele or turret engi : but only PU and Cond mes are op. Shatter mes is beatable and not OP.

However, mesmers are still NOT viable in tourney, simply because they use stealth lot while fighting, which means you lost point during fight. But when it doesn’t come to capping, mesmer must win in dueling unless you run shatter but pu or condi mes. Anet need to deal with something with mesmer for that losing capping thing becuz of mesmer’s stealth mode to make mesmer viable much more than ever.

To be honest I’ve been playing a lot more.
This new daily is quite nice reward wise, I’ve been experiencing a lot more closer games, and the leaderboards give me a chance to actually make it to top 25 so the incentive for me to play is there.

Before this patch, I was getting on crazy losing streaks, 17 games in a row. I’ve been getting better games post patch. I’ve shown the evidence as well.

I hit top #4 around 5 times in previous soloq leaderboard for last 6 months, but i dont think i can do that again in this system cuz basically it requires me that i do have to grind those points -.- (i have no time to spend all my time into game) gl anyway on your journey to top# 10

For me, I now mainly play another MMO that has equalized gear and level pvp arena just like this game since Demcember pvp update of gw2. What about you?

I think i wouldn’t play gw2 that much unless Anet nerfs cele engi and cele ele and pu mes and bring back pure solo arena and its leaderboard. i know it wont happen though.

Nah, whatever. it is totally anet’s business who make its customer come back or not. i just wonder how many of you have quitted or still be playing. It will be also helpful to anet to estimate user population anyway.

To get into high position of this grinding arena leaderboard, my calculation is that approximate 25% skill and 75% time played is required.

I don’t play this game anymore but I would rather watch 2 lich power necros than 2 cele ele’s. Cele ele is ×10 more cheesy than a full glass gimmick build.

Radioactive comp relies on cheese mechanics but if they beat your team with that comp you probably suck anyway. At that level you should know how to deal with lich.

Celestial is truly boring to watch and play and it the strongest spec in the game without a real counter.

I would sacrifice cele shout war if anet can nerf cele engi or celementalist since they are much OPer than cele shout war. celementalist and cele-engi are just bullkitten, so it’s ok to remove cele shout warhorn war for me if anet can nerf them. I used to use settler amulet instead of celestial on my shout warhorn war build before cele buff patch that is applied past april.

For warrior, we can use settler amulet instead of gay cele for shout warhorn build lol. difference is just less ppwer more support. so idc, delete cele plz. cele is too good and only made for engi and ele.

Even though it is stablized, the system itselt that calculate rank by the point achieved, i do not think it wont be changed that much as its the implemented system just show point to grind in leaderboard. it is just grinding system. you don’t even need to carefully think about it. Winrate 46% guy, Lexiceta.4156, already showed us and proved that it is totally grinding system. Don’t be cheated by any of Anet’s sweet words. They just try to pacify you to make you stay their game. However, the fact is right there.

I quitted pvp already. now pvp is for just people who like to grind and farming. Not that much personal micro & skill is required to get to higher position of leaderboard but you just grind all 24 hours just like Lexiceta.4156 did. I would go play wvw or different game though. Anet kitten their game themselves, who care? it is just like parent told child to do something. I even feel people who play for this grinding arena are idiots unless they are casual players though, GG

I don’t play warrior but I think the problem is their telegraphed attacks. No other class has such easy to dodge skills . Without shouts I think warrior class is weaker than others. But shouts are really strong, they need to reduce the healing of shouts and buff warrior damage and reduce cast time on weapon skills.

Shout Warrior is pretty strong among many warrior builds. However, shout warrior never win against cele ele, turret engi, pu or condi mes when both 2 are equally skilled in each prof when dueling. I tried tones of times against decent players, whose pvp lb rank is pretty high as me(previous lb’s top #1~300 people), of those profs in dueling arena and ranked arena. so I think it is fine, not that OP as hell. For case of thief, Magic toker (theif) pwned me(i runned shout war at that time) before, so i think its not that op.

i have been using sword-warhorn shout build from march with formerly setteler but with celestial since april cele buff patch. Honestly, cele shout sword-warhorn is only good at pvp tourney, or WvW becuz it requires you survivaility, mobility and supportiveness and etc.. you gotta waste flurry to make combo with bow skills or final thrust to make some dmg, becuz flurry doesnt do dmg wjthout deep cut. I would say sword-warhorn build is currently best warrior build FOR TOURNEY OR WVW ONLY. They arent that good in 1vs1 dueling though. sword-warhorn build is just focusing on too many aspects that can be happned in tpvp : duel, team fight, support, rez, fast capping, running away and etc… this buils isnt the best at any one of list above, but pretty much does fine on all of above list.
