I agree to this. I think this is just simple and clear op list. due to this limitation, i gave up using my favorite weapon set but just hambow, meaningless my warrior life :p. anet made op way like this so i had no other choices.

My review on rifle is that, considering how hard to make killshot hit by comparing to similar axe’s elite skill that does similar dmg to killshot, this killshot need a bit more buff. I wont say that its cast time need to be decreased, but its projectile velocity (speed) and damage need to be buffed. (or “pierce”) Also, they need to retrieve back bleeding dmg as rifle is boosted in Arms(condi) line, instead of double adrenaline upon a condition of hitting vulnerable target. Rifle’s 4th skill. brutal shot, also need to be altered to something else that does bit more dmg, or grant just pure triple adrenaline instead of inflicting vulnerability as it take 1sec, which is long, to cast.

rampages for bunker warriior since it gives no prec but stabikity and dmg rediction by 25% so what? no one use it
so common op classes discussed here are engi, ele, necro just like i said lol… then shatter mesmer (or pu) may come in…? (but i though mesmer wouldnt be problem if i could recover immob and qucikly dodge his/her explode of those illusions)

Bunker Guard/Engi
I would say terror necro, but hard counters to my classes is fine now that think about it. The only one I think that needs slight adjustments is d/d cele eles. I don’t have much problems against the cele engis tho.

Doesn’t matter how hard you suck,meds will fix it and punish your oppenent as twice hard as he does.
Atm theres no class around which has so easy acces to burst ( 2 bottons while 1 is an instaport lol) and has got insane survivability,though.

well cele builds of other classes isn’t that much as strong as dd cele ele, so i do not agree that cele amulet is problem. Dd ele themselves, they just too much might stack, cele amulet doesn’t grant might stack.
For me(warrior),
dd ele(0/0/2/6/6 25 might stacking), engi(grenade turret), necro(terrormancer) > medi guardian, ranger > thief, mesmer
Yeah. i just feel this way since having total 2000+ rounds in arena as warrior.
What is your OP order of classes and your class? it may vary depends on your class though.

grenade’s 1500 range is just making no sense. how throwing grenade by hand has more range than rifle’s 1200 range?
I mean, how throwable projectile by hand has longer range than gun? it just make no sense. it should be nerfed to 600range. Can you throw ball faster and longer than gun’s fire? nope that wont happen in real life.
Simple, this game dosn’t provide in-game instant shop selling you perma boost items like League of Legends doing.
If you were able to get those items, it would be possible for one person making killstreaks, but sadly this game don’t.
That is why SoloQ is too much depends on luck factor: you lose if your team get more noob people, you can’t be game changer.
If this game provided you perma boost items, then you, who is really skilled for example, would make killstreaks so you will totally lead your whole team to win.

yeah. anet made rifle totaly kitten. Rifle is the hardest weapon among warrior elite skills to make its elite skill hit correctly but now it loses all the adrenaline, even worse than ever. Also, about bleed… bleeding was a lot better than double adrenaline cuz double adrenaline requires vulnerability condition upon enemy. (You will find yourself when you got pretty much used to rifle that, you wont use 4th skill that much with 5sec decreased weapon swap trait that most of warrior have, which means previous bleeding requiring no condition that enemy need to be vulnerable was a lot better, we are just losing the benefit of double adrenaline since 4th skill’s cast time is too slow prior to fire and we don’t use that skill that much as we have dreacreasing weapon swap trait ). The problem is that anet dont even notice themselves that they actually nerfed rifle, not buff.

What do you think of Warrior’s sprint grant 25% movement on every weapon, not just melee weapon?

opponent usually run away while we are in transform for 20sec, we have to kill fast becuz it is our last chance but we lack in damage due to no precision grant.

Assume the form of a lich for a brief time. Entering this form destroys all minions and removes spectral effects.
1. Lich Form grants stability for the 20s duration, regardless of any boon duration buffs. Stability is lost if the form is cancelled or the player is downed.

I also dueled lich form necro while in rampage. they owned rampage, their dmg was pretty hard even though i was in rampage form.

ok.. few hours ago, i soloqed.
We had 4vs5, some1 in my team just didnt even come to a game.
Well, even though 4vs5, luckily i got teamed up with ‘Caed (top26), mhuljora (top29), Card the Guard (top 34)’.. and at the time that i was in that game, my leaderboard rank was around top30.
But enemy team’s people consisted of low ranked people who were outside of top100.
So anyway, we won by 500:300, even though it was 4vs5 but our skills are far beyond them.
Here is my wonder,
I heard the system matches people based on their rank, to make sum of both teams rank(or mmr points) very similar to each other.
But this round above was like, top100 vs top1000. idk what just happend. if 5th came in, we would have won like by, even 500:0.
I really dont get the system. can any1 explain this situation plz?

I know one guy called “The Mercy Goddess” who has been shout bunker warrior from the early era of this game’s release upto recent. basically 0/0/5/6/3 trait with settler amulet, sword-warhorn and longbow, as well as battle standard banner as elite skill. his highest leaderboard rank he have hit so far was top 4 (with only this shout bunker build, not with other builds) so i think you can use this build with trust.

GS/lb is currently one of best weapon set for warrior. plz try practicing hitting more with 3,4th skillls rather than 100b. also, arcing slice is OP becuz it is moveable : you cannot move while casting flurry, so missing lot becuz today’s player are very skilled to easily cure immob so fast, even though fully hit, flurry without deep cut trait is trash no dmg at all. And this arcing slice gives you plenty time of fury that you dont have for rest of battle signet’s cooldown time. Meanwhile, only 4 hit of 100b does more dmg than fully hit flurry, so be satisfied plz. Use 100b when they get purposely close to you or when you want some combo attack 100b with pin-down. whirlwind dmg still does like 3000~5000 on heavey type armor (probly 2500 toughness) so it is fine: dmg isnt that much reduced actually. gs is already viable in spvp, most people just use hambow instead becuz gs is a bit hard to use but if you can master this gs is very useful though, gs is kinda weapon for warrior experts: only does pretty nice only if you are very experienced. GS is in need of nerfing actually : removing moveable while casting arcing slice. Rather then gs, they have to buff off-hand mace, and rifle and warhorn. gs is much more viable than weapon listed i above.
Before you try to hit a flurry,make sure he wasted all his evades and you immobi with leg specialist or a cripple or a kd first,you very experienced top100 rank warrior ! Also flurry isnt about it’s damage…You use it primarily to immobi and for final thrust to land on 50% hp.The bleeding duration from flurry is not long enough to trait Deep cuts for the 50% extra bleed time which will make you go to 3.5 sec of bleed on flurry.Unless you run a full condi setup,you dont grab traits like that…but you as an self proclaimed experienced warrior,will probably know that..Right.

I did not run full condi warrior first, and i always, or mostly, did final thrust with intellecture sigil as soon as immob with flurry as you mentioned but when i did that i was equipping sword/warhorn set, not full condi. But even though i
Inflict all flurry slashes + final thrust correctly, they still dmg lower than gs/lb set’s only elite, 2nd(4 hits) and 3rd skills in general and also, becuz i didnt have deep cut trait(flurry become trash without this trait). full condi isnt that much viable in these days since torment nerf patch anyway. Anyway I run gs/lb set right now. and now as you see arcing slice is over buffed, it does extra dmg upon enemy less than 50% health just like final thrust, and also arcing slice is currently moveable skill that you can move while casting. Too OP.
Here is my Dmg compare chart, (cele amulet, based on critical hit)
Sword warhorn (without deep cut):
Flurry – 2200dmg (1000 psysical, 1200 bleeding)
Savage leap – 1000 (but this skill is trash mostly not hit)
Final thrust – 2000 or 4000(upon less than 50%)
Theorical Total dmg – 5200 ~ 7200 dmg
Total dmg in real pvp situation – 0~1100(no dmg if i try to instantly do final thrust, or if i cast properly, half of flurry missing cuz todays player know how to cure immob fast) + 0(savage leap is trash becuz too easy to dodge or it just miss idk why though) + 2000 or 4000 = 2000 ~ 5100
gs/lb set
Arcing slice – 1800~ 3000(upon hp less than 50%)
100b (mostly able to make Only 4 hits of them) – 3000
whirlwind – 3000
Total dmg in theory – 7800 ~ 9000
Total dmg in real situatoon – in most cases, similar to above cuz arcing slice, 100b, whirlwind attacks are all instant skills that does as soon as i press button, not like final thrust that takes 1 sec to cast(experienced thieves can evade it easily), or flurry that i sometimes need to cancel to make final thrust hit, or savage leap that doesnt make even a hit not so that easy. (which means that it is easier to land “actual attacks” with gs than sword)
This is why i use gs set.
What i basically think is that anet need to buff main hand sword, and nerf deep cut for sword/warhorn users. (Well i dont go full condi war anyway, i am satisfied with gs/lb set now anyway. torment got nerfed, gs got buffed. right? simple)
And i am NA leaderboard top 19 right now. (probly no higher ranked warrior than me at the time I am writing this)

you can beat litch form 1v1 but depending on your build you may have to heavily LoS and out play it.
places like the top of skyhammer is a good time to run unless you can strip stabillity and knock em out, cuz there’s not much room to dance around them to win with DPS.
What if both use cele amulet and duel using in those forms? who win? (lets say transform time is unlimited)

just wonder. currently necro’s elite skill lich form can kill every1 at dueling if no one run away as you know (well i did warrior’s rampage vs necro’s lich form but lol, necro’s lich form pwned warrior’s rampage form ) but what about guardian’s tome of wrath vs necro’s lich form if they 1vs1 duel and transform duration is unlimited? (both cele amulet)

Hi I am NA leaderboard top 100 warrior and also have played plenty of shout builds so far. Honestly, i also played guardian bunker as well, i can definitely say that warrior bunker is worse than guardian bunker if you compare bunking abilities of them. First of all, healing amount guardian is much higher than warrior (almost 2 times higher per 96sec interval).2ndly, boons, guardian has plenty of defensive boons such as stability, protection and aegis, however, if you go shout line of warrior you cant grant stability, also have no aegis or protection unless your warhorn only convert conds into thems: which mostly will not happen. so play guardian bunker, if you wanna be professional bunker, unless you are trolling as warrior bunker.

I am just pointing something that looks unequal and imbalanced that anet would need to alter, only a bit though.
I would say Deep cut need to be altered to master level trait that is similar to traits that boost weapon damage by certain percentage and they are actually master level traits.
There are many skills that inflict bleeding, most of sword skills and pin down.
but I think 50% is too much actually, most boost skills like this they increase physical dmg by 10~20% though.
It is like Anet forces us not to use sword if we don’t have deep cut, and it actually RESTRICT build diversity. (For example, Flurry is almost useless if you don’t have deep cut trait becuz it does almost no dmg without it, or enemy can escape immob fast. or they might knock you down or 100b at the same time you do small dmg on them) Therefore, please nerf deep cut to 30% and move it master tier of Arms trait, but instead, buff bleeding damage of all the bleeding type skills such as flurry and pin down by 20% please. Thank you.
Damage gap between having Deep cut or not when you use sword is far more extensive than Damage gap between having “Slashing Power” or not when you use Greatsword. GS is still pretty powerful without Slashing power trait, but flurry is like, nope. just trash without deep cut. so I think you need to decrease its damage imbalnce.
I am using GS/LB build right now for this reason.

If you look at soloQ rank here there are tones of terrormancers and dd ele mainly, and then engi, guardian, thief, ranger follows that I can see, but i see no even a warrior here. Legendary Gorn.2374 guy, who was only warrior always keeping himself within top50 list before nerf patch, now completely disappeared from top50 list since nerf patch. do you find any1 here? (I dont believe teamq rank since you can dominate if you have just good teammates. so plz consider soloq rank only to determine balances problem) This game have only 8 classes but it is kinda odd that we cannot see even one warrior in top 50 list, it just reflect how they are badly nuffed right now.
i asked some people in soloq about why people do not play warrior in these days and then they said that warrior is trash right now. haha
it could be that i just dont know all of them, so if there is warrior that you know in this list, plz let me know.

I can surely say currently warriors are sick and too nerfed as real evidence shows that, b top10 leaderboard (soloq) guys, who mainly play warrior, are all outside of even top50 since 2 times nerf patch. Within top50 list now, there are many tones of dd ele or terrormancer, or sometimes guardian(Ementon X) since guard got buffed.
more importantly you dont even know that fury has granted among many conds, utilizing only 3sec of fury is like that you have to know fury has been granted after conversion but sadly warhorn conversion is totally random so you mostly dont even know what is converted. Longer fury duration is in need for this reason as well.

- That’s not going to happen, considering how prevalent Blind is. Your argument about “everything else” being 9s also doesn’t apply, since Protection and Stability aren’t 9s either. This would be a particularly nasty problem against Sword Guardians and D/P Thieves, since you could pretty much cleanse blinds at a pace where the conversion would give you permanent Fury.
- The point with Quick Breathing converting Fear to Stability is in Warhorn being an AoE weapon. You can use Quick Breathing to convert Fear on a team mate to Stability. Everything doesn’t have to be made for solo situations.
I can understand your 2nd point but about 1st point, do you consider warhorn conversion is totally random conversion that we cannot select what we want to convert and those thief and guardian does not always inflict only blind at one time upon us? For guardian they spam pretty much burning and for thief probly poison not just blind. So converting fury by using warhorn ON PURPOSE is pretty much impossible, or you just stand and do nothing until get blind to convert only? Therefore longer fury duration is needed as it is hard to just sit down and wait for blind. 3sec is just too short, and warhorn skill def have cooltime.
And warhorn skills does not convert stun or daze effect into boons, they are cc but not conditions, only fear that necro would do into boons. they pretty much spam fear actually with many other conditions, including corrupt boons that convert all boons into cond. Even though fear is applied and if we could use warhorn while in fear, you dont know which cond warhorn would convert, fear shoudlnt be always first one to be converted, as it is totally random conversion that game system determine.
Warhorn is bunker line weapon, and this bunker job need stability by any chance but sadly no for warrior, yes for guardian unless you sacrifice one shout into balanced stance. Meanwhile, guardian heal a lot more than warrior’s do with their staffs and mace shield and shouts, virtue and elite healing tome skill as compared to warrior’s just 3 shouts or just regen banner, and they even have stability also, and granting a bunch of protection as well. Warrior bunker line need some kinds of buffs for this reason.

I’ve been trying to decide on a character to level up and I’m deciding between ranger and warrior. Since the update came out, I was wondering how good are warriors now? Are they good at dps, survivability, and other things?

I am top100 in leaderboard who plays lot of rank matchs a lot so maybe i can give you sincere position of warrior in spvp.
in spvp in these days, not many people play warrior right now as compared to era before patch, since 2 times continuous nerfs upon warrior. Rather most people now play 25might stack 00266 dd ele or terrormancer or engi though. ranger is currently OPer than warriors right now, I would say go play ranger. if you dont narrow down to only ranger or war, actually i want to recommend that you play 00266 dd ele though, the OPest job right now. As of now ranger population is more than warrior in spvp anyway, as long as i have seen since patch.

idk why it is moveable though.
But if it is moveable,
1. flurry should also be moveable while casting or gain quickness for a short time.
2. Mace elite skill cast time should also be decreased by half.
3. Warhorn skills can be used even though you are in CC like fear or knocked down.
4. Rifle’s killshot allow you to move while casting.

If warhorn is that powerful, why almost no warrior use it in spvp? cuz it works badly in spvp. maybe they need to buff warhorn for spvp only, just like gw1 way that changes skills a bit different between pve and pvp content. and rifle also. mace and gs is recently buffed. so i hope in next patch i expect warhorn and rifle buff.
guys i am not talking about wvw but spvp situation of warhorn usage. in spvp, bunker warrior mostly uses warhorn, however the thing is, this warhorn warrior have no stability while guardian bunker has. Therefore guardian bunker is a lot popular. I think call to arms need to grant at least 3 sec of stability. i think that bunker without stability doesnt make any sense but this warhorn is on bunker line. haha

i can surely say that cele is NOT making dd ele the most OP in the game. simply becuz there are tones of cele builds of other classes but they are NOT as strong as dd ele. if cele is what makes ele the strongest, other cele build of other classes must be as strong as dd ele but they are not. Therefore, just nerf ele itself is fine, not cele.
From my experiences, personally think dd ele and terrormancer are most op when it comes to dueling. For ele, just nerf their might stacking, and every runes that make longer might duration also need to be nerfed. for necro, increase cast time of corrupt boon or make it longer cooltime like 1 min. 40sec is too short as compared to its ability which is very effective, while warrior’s fear me that cause just only a fear have 60sec cooltime though. it just doesnt make sense.
Anyway, yeah, dd ele is very strong class, not that all, they also have support skills that heals or grant boons, and mobility skill(like leap, teleport skills or swiftness) which is too op obviously. It sounds like they are versatile. By the standard balance theory, if one build is perfect at dueling, it should have some others disadvantage like no support and no mobility but i cannot find any disadvantage on dd ele build.
I am going to guess you’ve never played shatter mesmer,condi thief,necro or engi,shout condi war,turreteer,soldier hambow…

Well I play mostly warrior and dps guardian sometimes. and experienced both shout condi war and hambow you said but i can surely say that at least shout condi war can never beat terrormancer. simply becuz they have no stability against their fears and they lack in condi or physical power that isnt enough to kill necro’s tremendous hp extension. Samely applies to dd ele due to lack in power or cond power. shout is for bunkers.
Dont worry if i am lying, i tried it on necro hao hai zi(who hit soloq top1), noscoc(very well known guy) and cmc, jorse and etc…..
I am just generally saying this from my many many experiences of dueling many many different classes and jobs, both 2 were the class that i felt the most hardship when dueling. Hm but if i compare those 2, yeah, dd ele is OPer than terrormancer.

Your build takes 1 hour to kill people. I don’t main a warrior but I’m sure the 3 stances build does more damage than your shout build. It may help you to carry 4 noobs.Instead of asking for a stat boost, play a less tankier build with more damage.

For this game yes it is not possible to win if you teamed up with 4 other noobs even though you are geniusly ever skilled person on the earth but in LOL it is still possible to win becuz shop there selling you perma boost therefore you can make killstreak and dominate entire round but this game that is not possible jesus but this game2vs1 is almost impossiblr cuz of no perma boost jesus no killstreak happen gg so soloq become yoloq and too much depend on luck factor therefore become yoloq and yoloq lb rank fluctuate too lot but once if you can add shop selling perma boost stuff by1000 point or something yeah yolq can become real soloq really believe me that is what todays esport game mostly does man plz therefore plz add shop

Well it’s not an awful idea. Pretty much trying to counteract what makes the leaderboards kittenty.
If you want people to take it seriously though, you should probably come up with a standard formula for ranking people, and post it. Right now, it looks like you just kind of did it however you felt like, and that doesn’t mean much.
Something like rating = exp(1-games/10)/(avg rank). Games would be games per month, with the exp term there to give it some diminishing returns.
I absolutely used formula to calculate them. it is not calculated from my feeling or personal assumption of each person’s skill, lol. I will release that formula later (well, just middle or high school math level calculation though) Player datas to put into my formula was collected from http://www.gw2score.com/.

1. Must actively play. Therefore, Exclude all the people who have not played at least 3 matches per every week during latest one month – Because I saw many highly ranked people playing just one time in a week or a month to just keep their high ranks.
2. Generally Evaluate people’s real SoloQ rank by how long he have stayed in certain range of ranks (ex: top1~50 or top 50~100) – Because individual SoloQ rank fluctuates a lot, I rather used certain range bracket of ranks to evaluate.
3. Exclude all people having less than total 100 matchs – I don’t know why Anet do include them in the leaderboard.
4. Always Evaluate firstly and Give additional Score to guy who plays LOT – Meaning that He have endured a lot of good and bad lucks that can happen to anybody in SoloQ.

yes they are hell. especially 0/0/2/6/6 25 might stack ele. whenever i duel these kinda ele i feel more hardship
Last I checked the highest percentage you could be without being top 1000 was 96%. That would mean those 1000 are 4% of the population, or 250/1%. That means total pop ~= 25000.
But yes, keep in mind that a huge fraction of that is probably inactive.
Also FYI, I did a quick survey of hotjoin once on the weeknight out of boredom. There was ~ 400 ppl playing.
