• get as many obsidian shards as you can before the event ends.
• get a ton of tomes of knowledge to lvl an alt if you want to.
• kill champs and scarlet’s holo for exotics and sell them in the process.
• help people get achievements.
• level an alt with this event.
• do other things.

sorry you couldn’t get in BG ~ though we do tend to do it 5 – 7 times daily. it can get very tiring trying to get everything and everyone together. especially when there is 1 to 3 people who want the achievement. of course, i always help out. though after a while the majority logs out to take a break. ~ congrats on the achievement either way.

i’m not sure if you’re the OF though BG has already done that achievement 7 times today – well, as of right now.

people get a bit tired. heck, i’ve been helping out as much as i can for those that don’t have it that achievement.

while i agree that having players split up when you enter the platform is quite silly, the majority of times when people go to help kill the knights in different areas leaving the few that entered the platform a bit thin… having 15 – 30 players for the holo fight is quite enough. i’ve yet to fail a holo fight, i’ve entered the instance with 15 – 30 we have always won the fight against the holo.

edit: although it does suck to be stuck in with a few people, you can easily get out of the platform you’ve entered and run your butt off to the platforms that entered with more people. if you’re lucky you’ll go in with those people if, not then you’ll enter the same instance with those few people that you first entered with.

after doing Teq 300+ runs with bad exotics, no mini, no wings, no ascended weapons.

i better.. BETTER, be getting something good off of this event. so after a couple of runs (38+) 4 scarlet’s kiss, 1 rainbow, a bunch oh horrible blues and greens, about 8 mini magnus from the bags, and two rather nice looking exotics from champ bags.

edit: oh and 2 jetpack skins n_n

although the scaling in this is quite bad, Anet is half to blame. the rest of the blame goes to the majority of people whining on forums about the content. yes, it was zerg friendly though it would be great if people wait a couple of days before complaining like a bunch of crazy monkeys.

yeah sorry, i forgot to mention it was during two attempts to try and take down the knights. 1st..red had 120, blue 5, green 0 2nd.. red had 0, green 145, blue 5. either way it was horrible.

ANet did not like this. We weren’t playing their game “right,” they needed to stop us from playing it how we wanted to play, we were only allowed to play it how they wanted us to play it. So they “fixed” it.

wrong actually, they actually didn’t mind it at first. the reason Anet decided to do something about is because of so many people whining about it. if you go back a few pages in this forum you’ll notice a few “tired of zerg content” and the locked “knights give too many loot”. zerg wasn’t too bad. yes, we weren’t getting six minute achievement because of the zerg though all knights were being killed (all of them were being taken down) through a simple rotation and we were getting a decent amount of loot from them.
because of the excessive whining they decided to change them. there’s no real point in trying to take down/help take down another knight if there are no extra loot involved so the majority of people stick to one and let the event fail. there are those few servers that do indeed try to succeed and fail/win so they can try to beat scarlet’s holo and get the rng chest, though that’s all.

because people complained about getting too much loot from them and zergs, (Anet changes it) now the majority of people just kill one knight because there’s no point in going to the other knights since they won’t give you extra loot, so they just kill one and let the event fail.

don’t delete them, Anet employee said that they will be doing something else with them.

While you can still get the achievement in under six minutes, since the achievement is still buggy… there are those that still do not have yet after the server takes down the three knights in under six minutes. there are also those that by some lucky break get the achievement even if six minutes have passed.

it’s hard to tell if you’re going to get it or not, it’s not a guarantee.

well the problem now is that since they changed how it was, there’s no point at all to helping out with the other knights since: i still go so i can sometimes heal people still fighting them.. it’s all i can do.

(if) it’s maxed out you can’t do damage to it at all, so there’s no point in being there.
(if) there’s room and you can do damage to it, you won’t receive extra loot.
(or) not enough players interested in the event now because of the change/ no extra loot gained.

they should have left it like it was, though since everyone was complaining about it. now it’s even worse. ~ who complains about extra loot… really? – though the thread was there. soo… changed.

what do you need help with?

this is how it’s suppose to be:

1. three legendary knights show up in the map, you and by you i mean the server you’re in. they need to take defeat them, no matter in which order.

2. after they all go down, get their buffs (green, blue, and red) that are place near where they were taken down. this gives you access to scarlet’s ship.

3. take down her hologram – make sure you have those buffs on while you’re hitting her hologram or else you won’t do much damage. also, make sure to have those three buffs while hitting her to cause max damage. after he hologram goes to about 30% she splits off – into three smaller holgrams. make sure you have the red buff while fighting the red holo, green for the green holo, and blue for blue. after they are taken care of, they split of into more holograms. taken them down with their corresponding color buff. after that scarlet’s holo will go back to the middle and start attacking again. this time make sure you take down the smaller holos she left behind or else she will do a huge aeo that can down almost every player (you can also dodge this attack, even though most players don’t) after you do enough damage. scarlet herself will appear in the middle hurt. (get the chest and then enter your solo instance)

4. after the cut scenes – you can either take down scarlet real quick for the achievement (she will be throwing aoe bombs at you and will knock you back with an electric aoe if you get too close. you can dodge this if done correctly) or wait until her personal shield goes up and after she attacks ~ attack her so she can be vulnerable for a few seconds which gives you the chance to stomp her for the kill. done

extra: – if you have spinal exotic back piece you can just use the tele and take down scarlet without having to need the server to take down the knights. enjoy.

things happens, it’s hard to see how/know ~ bugs pop up when there are a ton of people trying to do the event. a lot of the time bugs pop up unexpectedly, so stay calm, tell them about the bugs that pop up, and wait for a fix.

i honestly believe that they should have left it how it was, there’s no point in going and trying to help the other group when you finished yours because it’s maxed out and well.. you can’t damage/contribute to the fight.

A: IF you accidentally skip the last cut scene you will still receive either the bag of loot you get the first time you beat her or a bag of supplies if you beat her multiple times. I know because while trying to get the achievement of stomping scarlet before her personal shield went up, i had to skip the intro into her ship and the last scene multiple times though i still received a loot bag. if you didn’t receive your mask and loot bag for the first time or 3 supply bags after beating her multiple time ~ send in a ticket.

As the title says. People are too fixated farming those. Can’t do the event with people that are there just to farm champs, so i guess the solution is just to eliminate any major profitability from the event other than the main objective.

this is silly, removing champ loot will lead players not doing them at all. there are times when the worm champ pops up before the moas get there, causing players to kill it so the moas can despawn instead of being knocked back quite a bit before killing them. the other boss where the gates for WvW are pops up most of the time when other events are in there too. besides giving the player a champ bag for killing them, they also give a decent amount of xp. if there is no bag for the player t receive upon killing them then there’s no reason to even bother going there.

Drops from enemies in evens should be moved to the end of the event, as part of the rewards for success, and only success.

This applies to ALL events in the entire game, from WvW to dungeons. Skip events or focus on just killing stuff instead the objectives, and you get less rewards.

this is also silly to do, similar to the fight with teq the majority won’t bother doing the event if it needs to succeed 100% of the time. a lot of people will just end up not doing and leave it because of the percentage and time they ended up joining in. if they see the the numbers of civis saved and how much time they have left (and they know they won’t succeed in time) they stop doing it.

i think it’s cute and adorable the way that it looks on the asura race considering how small they are. i for one love the size of it.

this is why you should try to reach the max lvl for all of your crafting, a bit unfair yes. though you’ll save a lot when things like this happen. you have the chance to craft cheaper things on different crafting stations to get the same result, though in cheaper ways.

farming bags can get you several things: -

- gives you enough Blade Shards to craft you ascended backpiece
- gives you Found Belonging to buy Tomes of Knowledge to lvl up more (an alt or your player in WvW) or to buy things from the vendors like the Ascended Blade Recipe
- gives you a chance to get the endless quaggen tonics and mini
- gives you those found child drawings that you can use to raise your luck
- low chance to give you heirlooms for the getting the potions

rescuing civilians can also get you a few things:-

- better loot if you save 1,200 (chance to get old rewards) rng change for old rewards (not likely to happen)
- more heirlooms
- a lot more bags of loot if you’re going out of your way to rescue them (50+ -100+ more bags)

oh those 80+ plus battles i had with her, the one time i ended up kicking her butt with my archer and i don’t record it. as frustrating and annoying as she was, i too have no problem letting people trying to kill her again. i love the mini liadri and i still use her till this day.

~ barely anything good drops from the bags anyway. no one will be getting that (jetpack)back piece. we’ve had too many things from a lot of events that it’s almost impossible to get anything good from a(n) rng bag.

yup, i’ve helped a ton of players who are either down or dead. i agree that most players who you help will either run away when you rez them causing you yourself to get downed in return though that’s your own fault. REZ AT YOUR OWN RISK – you should all know this by now. there are those if they’re downed or dead and you rez them, they will in return rez you back, but there are also those that after you help them they really won’t care that you did or didn’t (the won’t help you in return).

some people help and some don’t, i’ve learned to deal with it. i even stay at the portal when it’s time to leave and with my guardian using tons of heal spells on those lagging behind (love that heal spell) and help them back to spawn.

- i’ve had people fall (get downed) right before making it back to spawn, in which i rez them which will sometimes cause me to get down too. they tend to either just jump right into the portal which causes me to die or have them turn around and help me in return. of course if they do help i end up healing both of us enough to barely make it back. though i’m fine with either outcome.

more annoying than the lazers are the two aetherblades (with hammers) that tend to target the player. they do that silly attack that knocks you down for some time and when you get back up the other one knocks you down too. it’s almost an infinite knock down time.

- you either die because you can’t back up.
- someone sees you down so they help.
- miracle that you get out of it.

though i see what you mean about how annoying those lasers are, i was targeted by 7. though that just made me feel special, going after me so many times because i’m reviving the heck out of civis.

you do realize that you can get all of those materials for free? scraping all of the bad loot that the bags give you are more than enough to get a ton of silk scraps.

~ the only bad thing about crafting those things is that if you don’t have any of them and since they’re ascended materials you’ll have to wait 23+ hours to craft 1 piece of it. you’ll need 15 days in order to get 15 pieces, which is why i absolutely hate crafting ascended things, it’s beyond stupid. if we have the materials, then let us just craft it, or at least let the cap be 5 items.

i lost the last two with 1100. So yea AFKers griefed us.

Easy to fix this just add a miasma at the zone outs WPs where people always AFK. If you stand in it you get stacks and then die. If u die with a certain amount of stacks it ports you out.

there can’t be that many people afk’ing enough to cause your server to lose the 100 that you needed. zergs usually cause the fail (well, the majority of them anyway) the majority of people are more focused with farming bags instead of saving the civilians.

o.O there’s a jetpack in the game? i’ve been playing since closed beta, i did miss a few updates later on during the flame and frost.

~ also don’t worry at all about these past rewards, barely anything good comes from them. the best i’ve received were dragon coffers and a bad exotics.

i tried looking for that little sneak artwork preview for the next patch, though it see it’s been removed (no idea where it is if it is there) though i miss it.

i rez as many people as i can ~ down or completely dead. unfortunately that doesn’t usually work in my occasion when i get down of if i die. though, it’s fine. i’ve come to terms with it, what i would really like though is if i could get something out of it. money, 1% luck, extra event items (bags), buffs,… anything really. i’ve rez’d so many players it would be nice to get something out of it.

people tend to do these events quite fast because later on it’s quite hard to find a group still doing it later on.

small little question – is the potion after getting 250 of them permanent or just a one time thing until you get 250 all over again?

if so then there’s no point (at least in my opinion) to even collect them.

while i do agree that Anet should have a heck of a lot better communication with their player base, the update will come out. so instead of complaining about when it’s going to come out and since they won’t say then play another game or do something else and quit brain farting all over the forums or at least in this part of it.
