There is an additional minimum-time elapsed for some open world chests & for the daily resource nodes named above. Specifically, at least 5-15 hours must pass between the last time the ‘node’ was used, even if the daily reset time has occurred before then.

I did the farming Nine (9) hours before the reset though thank you. I had no idea it could take up to 15 hours. That’s just ridiculous.

Please fix this already, it’s been months. Sometimes the winterberry nodes on Bitterfrost won’t reset after the daily reset. This is the only decent way to get obsidian shards besides Silver Wastes runs which in all honesty suck when compared to Bitterfrost.

Besides the idle animation on the wings, they look extremely stiff while jumping and running and since you can’t dye them i won’t be getting it. i don’t trust anet when it comes to these certain items, i’m sure they’re going to release a white version of these wings like they did with the colored masks.

i was kind of hoping for new years glasses, fireworks (big one.. not those small ones) some type of new years outfit/armor type thing, maybe some type of new years gathering tool, or dyes. though i’m glad they’re having time off. Happy New Years Team Anet.

it’s also a strange mixed feeling between actually wanting new things in the gem store to celebrate this new year with and not wanting anything at all because all of the other useless items in the store.

i honestly don’t understand your frustration with the wintersday daily, while the jumping puzzle and bell choir were a little tough for me at first. by the third or fourth attempt at them i knew how to complete it.

if you’re having such a hard time doing the bell choir, you’re only required to play/stay alive during 1 song (1 SONG) which only lasts 5 – 10 seconds. it was a little tough for me at first though i got used to it.
as for the jumping puzzle, take your time while i know you only have a limited time to do it before you die or before the platforms give away. take your time at first, learn the tiny shortcuts that snowflakes give you by skipping one or two (the middle one is the easiest) then learn when and where to jump during the second part of it.

these dailies are the easiest, it boggles my mind that you’re having such a rough time with them. if you still need help, then i’ll gladly help you to learn them. if you still want to quit because you can’t do something so simple then it’s probably for the best.

oh, you meant the generous gift (star of gratitude). it’s actually pretty useful, i had a ton of Empyreal Fragment. now they’re being used… finally.

The Trader is no longer available, but Blade Shards are used to make Spinal Blades back-pieces. You might want to investigate the creation of one (or more) before discarding your Blade Shards.

I took a really long hiatus from the game and came back a bit during halloween, and stayed for season 2. Did they ever add the blade shard vendor to the game?

i searched the wiki and only only vendor for the shards was one guy from the four winds place that sold (horrible) bags for every 500 shards. though, that was back in May. i want to just delete them all but i wanted to see if he was in game or not.

this is why i do events as quickly as i can, while there are those that might laugh and think it’s funny trying to do everything so quickly. i end up telling them “if you’ve been playing since closed beta, then you know as well i as i do that you need to do these events as soon as you can because in a couple of days the majority of the map will likely be empty” they shush up real nicely.

of course the recent nerf from the chests made people leave a little quicker.

there are still a lot of people doing these events so just try to finish things before the new update hits.

While i do agree that the majority of the gueensdale farm was completely full of toxicity, the farm in the amber map was not (at least not in the ones i mostly participated in) Those farms were done in-between events. yes, there were a bit more people in amber than usual though it was not hurting the map at all. i’m not a farmer at all though i did participate in a little bit of it. the majority of the time i was inside the yellow (amber) fort doing the events while quite a lot of the farmers helped kill the majority of the mobs outside.

farming is great to an extent, this farm was reasonable and i did not see anything wrong with it at all. while there were a bit more people in yellow there was still enough people through out the map to get everything else in those other forts done. there was no toxicity in the maps that i participated in (which were a lot) we also can’t pick which instance we want to join so saying “If you organized yourselves, left MOST maps alone” is quite useless. there will always be farming and there will always be players trying to get things done then just farm afterwards.

that’s what we do when events/bosses have been killed. we all run to the yellow camp, dig for the chests and after everyone gets them, we go right back to each fort before the events begin again. i honestly don’t see a problem with this.

those mini bosses before you get to the end tell you how to deal with the last one. the majority of people tend to forget how to do it when the reach the end. though it’s not frustrating or hard at all.

i did not know that would happen, i didn’t play gw1 though as i waited for my party member to enter with me. since i ended up in that place first i started dancing and BAM!.. knocked down immediately . it was a great little secret.

i didn’t even bother, with how rng is in this game… i just opened whatever i did while doing the maze. i turned in 5 tickets and that’s was pretty much everything.

i knew this entire RNG thing would become even worse, i stopped caring about rng related skins/weapons/armor when i killed Tequatl over 300+ times (when he was the new enhanced version of map bosses) and not a single weapon/wings/or mini dropped.

i do however come back to the forums to see if there’s something of interest worth logging into the game again. NPE, WvW, Pvp patches don’t interest me so i was really looking forward to halloween with a new story for the mad king and the bloody price. as a person that has bought a ton of things from their gem store seeing the new items for halloween though no new content at all. i logged in for the first time in several months only to just log back out again.

i’m actually quite disappointed too. after not logging in for a couple months, i thought to myself if anything would get me back into this game, it would definitely be halloween i have been keeping up with the LS and the current patches and nerfs. i’ve also been keeping up with the things in the gem store that have been coming out not buying them though just seeing what has been available. what’s the point in buying them if you’re not even playing? :P

i was optimistic about halloween for a new story with the mad king and his son, a new place to play in, and possibly new items and toys to use. though everything is absolutely the same as last year. being one of the few people that used to buy a lot of things from the gem store i was going to start again just for halloween though the motivation to play and see everything absolutely the same has killed that.

Halloween is coming up, Then LS2, Followed by Wintersday.

i’m not entirely sure if they will be doing something for game during the New Years, though likely not. SAB might return next year but because of how people were whining to be easier, often dieing, it’s too long, complaining about the easiest and unnecessary things… it might not come back at all.

i’ve been playing since closed beta and well… the game isn’t going in a direction that seems logical and fun. i haven’t been logging in as much as i used to, so i might just end up floating to another game too.

One observation about the new tag colours is the absence of green, which baffles me a bit… Green is a primary colour and it just seems logical to include it as an option.

there is a way to fix all of the dorito map spam:

- give the player base the option to rate up or down commanders

commanders that have a high rating are those that contribute and know what they’re suppose to do during WvW, while those that have a negative rating will not get followed.

then again anyone could just rate up or down out of will, so maybe give everyone 1 vote per 2-3 months where ratings get cleaned. it might work.

Last several months I’ve been dropping $100+ on gems. Especially with the GW2 anniversary sales. I played yesterday for about two hours, and now I doubt I’ll play except maybe to login for the story chapters, just to unlock them. I’m definitely not dropping any more money into this game – specifically because of the leveling and TP changes.

likewise, i introduced the game to a couple of people and while i have a couple of level 80’s and i do..did* enjoy spending $ on gems to either buy tools for equipment or getting new armor skins/just skins in general or keys (that’s right, i used to buy keys). i honestly stopped seeing the point in doing so several months ago. i only ever logged in for the season 2 story, maybe a couple of achievements and to see how some of the new champ mobs functioned though that’s entirely it. The people that i introduced the game to are no longer interested and since the game has been going downhill for quite a while (besides S2 story) i see no point in spending $ on anything or logging in.

hey Paul,
there’s an issue with destroying the totem before the event finishes. it completely bugs out. after defeating the few bosses surrounding it, i’ve noticed that sometimes a couple of players get close enough to it destroy it before the event is finished ~not entirely sure if it’s by accident or on purpose ~ though once they do and the event is done, anyone needing to destroy it won’t be able to. please fix this by not allowing player to interact with it before the event is done or look into it for other possible solutions.

after having the Monkey King tonic as a drop for me and reading about how rare it is… it does nothing.

Cannot do any emotes (i.e. do /dance, /sit, /sleep)
No combat
Cannot interact with anything, include bank/TP etc
Cannot summon pets
Cannot use any toys (i..e brooms, kites etc)

great, i’m glad someone else was able to find it. that little vine cave might be part of the story on the next patch or might be a place to fight a few things. possibly another legendary mob.

This is the secret place that might be leading up to the next patch. i’m not entirely sure, though it seems that there is going to be a lot of interesting stuff in it.

while i do agree with some of you – it’s perm. content and people have a lot of time to do this though like a lot of the other zones in other places. once this dies down it gets super hard to do events by yourself. even with guilds, events that require a lot of people to participate are barely successfully done. so yes, weapons such as these really should be on the TP. the majority of people complain about perm. content but when they put it in after a bit no one goes there anymore.

he’s probably not even ddos’ing anything and taking credit for it. the majority of people who claim to be “hackers” really aren’t.

shame, i really liked her sister. it was nice to see another npc with character other than the normal four. though a premature death could lead the story into more conflicts, i enjoyed spending time with Belinda. maybe jory will end up going mad.

i really haven’t tried the worm though i have killed Teq over 400+ times with no wings, mini, or teq weapons. i gave up on it. of course i did end buying the wings though there’s really no point in doing the event if all you get is greens, blue, and a few horrible yellows.

i can finally use my huge amount of tickets that i never deleted and buy those nifty skins that i’m missing from the different vendors (even though they cost a ton)

no response, though i literally have nothing to do in the game atm. i’m getting quite bored since there hasn’t been anything.

devs not posting towards certain subjects causes them to get in trouble from the higher-ups. it would indeed be great if they were more vocal about these certain topics, they will likely read them though not respond. just look at the awesome dev that was in charge of SAB. it was amazing that he answered questions, told us a few things to try out, and helpful hints during the event. he went out of his way to communicate with the community and he got in trouble for it. ~ maybe it’s not that they don’t want to respond back to us about certain things, it’s just that they can’t.

~ he also said that before they respond to us, they actually have to read or let know a certain someone before posting. they have to approve what they respond to, it’s quite sad since it would be great to have open communications with them.

i’ve tried that, a few of the skins weren’t there. though thank you, i have more to look for

after looking through the wardrobe system and after mix-matching certain item skins, i can finally start looking for what i want towards my players appearance. there have been a few skins where i absolutely have no idea how/where to get. yes, google helps. though, after coming up with nothing through an extensive search for a few these skins it would be nice to know where to get them.

edit: it would also be nice if we could link those unlocked skins through chat so we can ask if people know where and how to get them.

a bit less – besides looking as the tons of skins that i have and don’t have at the moment, my girl and i ended up looking for armor/skins that would hoochify us even more and i have to rework my traits -_-
