considering its going to be much harder to obtain dyes, I say they are going to go up significantly and stay high. Removing dye drops is going to hurt alot.

FA, IoJ, SBI, YB and BP all have better large group and siege skills than the other servers. It is likely their large skill groups will mow T5 zergs as they are today. That said T5 is certainly more populated than T4 and it is likely HoD is at least top 3 in silver population. I also believe T5 servers will adapt and learn from T3.

I will admit that it is hard to watch some HoD commanders make siege mistakes one after another. Give any T3/T4 server numbers and 4 omegas and you can kiss your keeps waypoints goodbye without a near equal number of defenders. That won’t happen in T5 today but it likely will by the end of season 2.

I dunno about the other servers you posted but I’ve been in Yak’s Bend ever since the beginning recently switching to HoD. Yak’s used to be a competent force in WvW but recently after the all the guild migrations it has become a mess and a pain to watch, the only reason Yak’s is doing well this week is because of the broken servers that its currently matched with BP and SoR. You can check its history if you don’t believe me, these past couple of months its been open season on Yak’s and when put up against more competent servers they get stomped both because of the population decline and the lack of organization serious wvw guilds bring. As of now they are a militia server.

you just have to kill him a different way, my pug wiped a couple times [even with someone leaving after the first wipe even when we posted cool casual cats only] before figuring out we needed to clear that hall first which added 3-5 mins to the run and having a pet and guardian from getting to anyone else, was fun learning experience which is sadly something that alot of pugs can’t deal with anymore QQ.

I’ve been looking over rankings and although its listed at 15, NS seems to be classified as tier 6? Is NS is the bronze league or silver?

My guild is in the process of deciding which of the free servers we would like to move towards. Things that we are looking for is a friendly populated communtiy and some decent WvW activity. Is there a server that everyone seems to moving towards at this time, looking for some recommendations.

Yaks Bend is full of trolls during the peak hours, but you gotta grow up sometimes, come on over.

Is there any information on how much time is left on the Tormented Weapon discount?

I got so excited when I saw the transfer changes being made, finally this losing streak in Yaks Bend will come to an end, the nightmare over, people will come to Yaks Bend with the free transfers….then I looked up our server ranking, of course I said as I see the 12 next to our server name. We are in a position where we will never get any transfers at all, pay 2400 gems to come to the tail end of the “top” ranked servers.

Its hitting close to two years now and I’m wondering if we will see locked off landmasses such as crystal desert, ring of fire, maybe the northern shiverpikes? I assumed these areas were part of an expanded world meant to be revealed after launch with all the clues from the various npcs.

So back to my question, its this land expansion even on the table right now? if so when can we expect its arrival?

It really depends on the quest. Personal story style missions? Sure, it would be nice, especially for lore and background.

kill 10 rats busy work type quests? hell no

Isn’t this basically what daily/monthly/living story achievments are, kill 10 different mobs, pick up 30 relics, etc etc, you can dress it anyway you want, its still the same repetitive quest system.

I’m sure this topic has been brought up, it has to have been. I’ve been wondering what the devs think about being able to completely dismiss pets as an option for rangers as in Guild Wars 1. I feel that rangers get alot of hate in dungeons because their pets tend to mess things up. They are extremely frustrating when trying to lure, kite or keep mobs together. Is this option to dismiss pets game breaking or just against the vision Anet has for rangers?

I’ve been stuck for many many months now on Shiverpeaks Explorer and Maguuma Explorer Achievements with only 2 or 3 areas left to discover each. I’ve done world completion aready as well. I’ve tried running along the edges of the map but it seems like I’m missing something thats either hidden or in an odd cave. Are there any methods, suggestions to clearing explorer? What methods did you use?

Most of GW’w music is from GW1, though. There are originals, sure, but there’s a lot like the pre-searing tune, or the old post-searing Ascalon music. There’s also a few newer tunes which are similar to older ones. I believe this is the case with the Gw1 Asura tune vs the GW2 Sylvari tune.

Just to clarify, I was referring specifically to the old music from the first guild wars vs the newly composed music in the second guild wars game. I like the music in the second game. I think it works to complement the music from the first one, but to me, the 1st guild wars music was a step above and felt much more natural in the game it was made for.

I just wanted to create this random topic about my absolute appreciation for Guild Wars 1 music especially from prophecies. Background music that wasn’t heavy handed but also worked to bring the amazing environment to life. It was the first MMO for me where music so perfectly complemented the game. Even now when I play Guild Wars 2 and hear music from the past, I still get pangs of nostalgia.

The new music introduced in GW2, though heavily influenced by the first game, never hits the same quality as the first game for me. I’m not sure if its the same with anyone else, or just me being overly nostalgic, but GW2 just never comes any where near the way the music in the first game complemented the environments, and they aren’t near as memorable as the GW1. I love both games regardless though, and appreciate both soundtracks in their own ways.

Sorry for the random topic, was listening to the GW1 soundtrack and the memories just came flooding back.

Hi, my thief is about to hit 80 in a couple days and I’m wondering what the recommended armor build for a dual dagger and dual pistol should ideally be. I want damage to be my primary role but I also want to be able to survive dungeons without teammates constantly having to pick me up. I’ve been looking at berserkers and rampage armor and I wonder what experienced thieves consider to deal more damage. I’m also wondering whether its a good idea to plug in some knights or something that gives a greater chance of surviving the big hits.

I’ve been a mending user for pretty much anything for my warrior solely for the heal+condition removal, never seen an situation where I could be without condition removal with my heals whether it be WvW, dungeons, or solo pve. It seems recently I’ve been realizing that it just doesn’t heal enough for me, I’ve been trying out the different healing skills but everytime I do it seems I’m missing out on my condition removal. What healing skill do you use and what do you pair it with to cover for conditions?

Stop including cash shop boosters into the Black Lion Chests please. These are almost always unwanted, considered trakittenems to most of the player base in Guild Wars 2. If there were people who actually wanted the cash shop boosters, they would probably buy them from the cash shop directly.
