really ugly skins but this seems to be the tactic of anet for the past year. Stuff you earn since the past year is mostly visually unappealing while the best looking skins are saved for cash shop. Anet has strayed so far from the days of GW1

Legendaries have lost most of their prestige since the game began, you can see them everywhere now and probably the biggest problem is they are stagnant, we have the same legendaries for 2 years now without any new weapons. I honestly think there needs to be new APPEALING prestige gear that is on the level of what the legendary weapons were when the game first started, and maybe pause with the constant barrage of cash shop weapons.

Final Fantasy 14 and others such as Elder Scrolls Online were developed with consoles in mind for their lead system. Just looking at the interface and you can see that. FF14 has a controller layout for their skillbar for example.

I remember that there was a question about this in a developer interview or something and they basically said that SAB didn’t fit their future vision of the game.

Yeah they really did a number on warriors. I would have been ok if they nerfed individual skills, but they nerfed adrenaline which is like changing entirely how a warrior is built and played.

Reading this thread I realized something, its time to move on. The direction of game is no longer the direction that interests me anymore. Its been a long time coming for me because I was a fan of the guild wars franchise all the way back to prophecies.

Before I would be upset at the trajectory this game has chosen to take, or my perception of a severe lack of meaningful content [to be clear this is just my opinion, I know others favor the content this past year]….but its been so long now that I just don’t really care anymore. So to those that find satisfaction with GW2, good luck to you, I wish Anet the best. And I mean that, Anet has provided me with countless of hours of entertainment and I met some really good friends playing its games. I might pop in every now and then to say hi to friends, but I think this is it.

You’ve been good to me Anet, but like the OP states, its just not fun anymore.

See you guys, hope your lives find something even more exciting and cool. One thing I would like to point out is how appreciated the wardrobe system is, it really was one of the few meaningful upgrades to how we played GW2. Wish Kate could stay long enough to expand and improve the wardrobe.

I honestly wish there was a form of direct trading to circumvent the tax on the auction house. I doubt there aren’t ways for anet to implement systems to reduce scams and trade abuse to a minimum and it is a matter of choice for someone to engage in direct trading and assume the risks. Having the option to trade with others doesn’t mean you have to use it, it wouldn’t really affect the tp given that its not based on a single server population but the entire game population for the region.

Posted on the BL forums, but dulfy does some math on this, according to her, the cost of a silver fed matic charge is TEN times the cost of an mystic salvage kit salvage.

Oh yeah this game needs a major content influx to be sure, and an expansion is the loudest way to get everyone’s attention, including those that have left the game. If you add up the total amount of content since launch it wouldn’t even come close to a single GW1 expansion and that’s not to mention the entire 1st season of the living world is unplayable because it was temporary content.

Dulfy apparently does some math on this item, it comes out to 10 times the cost of a mystic salvage kit without the extra cost of 500 gems

I think the better question in all this is if GW2 normal will become like GW2 china, seems like anet is putting more and more emphasis on gem store conveniences and prestige skins ie the royal/ ship tickets, expansions to your collectables and bank, makeup kits, black lion weapon skins, etc etc. I certainly hope not, but now that the model seems to have abandoned the paid expansion format of gw1 seems like they’ll need to place an ever stronger emphasis on the cash shop for a steady income stream.

On a side note, SBI is currently doing exceedingly well against FA in a surprising turn of events.

So the leggings are really cool on the t3 human cultural medium armor armor but when I put them on and my thief crouches in an attack position I discover that the daggers on the leggings are made of rubber, basically I paid a high premium price on a knockoff or something and my enemies laugh at me whenever I engage them because what is assumed to be super cool metal daggers hanging from my skirt is really just rubber halloween daggers.

HoD isn’t tanking anything this week, they are getting double teamed.

I’m just asking for some insight on a problem I’ve been hitting ever since I’ve started 31+ fractals. I used to get at the very least ring drops with every fractal completion, but all of the sudden when I get past 30 absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing has been dropping for me, I get a pristine fractal and standard rewards but no gear at all and I’m at my 6th attempt at 31+, is this normal? have the fractal drops recently been completely nerfed?

You know what model I loved, gw1, not subscription. A game where you bought large expansions not because you needed to for progression or gear ladders, but because the content was so compelling on its own merits that people would gladly pay for it without strings attached. Anet should consider a paid large expansion rather than these small free bursts of a story that have little substance and exist temporarily.

I like this too, too many times I’m trying to complete the daily reviver achievement and these inconsiderate people just vanish away without thinking about my time constraints for finishing 5 dailies now that they have been nerf to force you to finish this if you are pve only. If I send a notification, it should lock the player down from porting to any of the waypoints till revived

The server that shalt not be named isn’t complaining per se. Some individuals residing on said server that shalt not be named are. Chances are they are fairweather warriors.

Kinda funny how people get worked up over “honor” “cowardice” and “courage” during a fight in a game. If someone runs away during one of your sacred duels, just go on with your day, leave the heroic talk to those that actually deserve it, have fun playing the game plz.

I’ve encountered a very bad clipping issue with the male t3 norn cultural heavy chest armor and the cash shop phalanx gauntlet armor. what happens is the cloth part of the chest armor clips through the metal gauntlets

My problem with the system it rewards servers, not individuals. The pve player gain more in a wining server as a HC player on an other one

But isn’t that the whole point of WvW, realm battle means your success is always going to be tied to your server performance, thats the whole point of World vs World. If your looking for pvp rewards more dependent on individual skill you would do better in hotm for pvp matches.

like the topic says, it seems that the staff skin isn’t retracting when its stowed to my guardians back. Is it a bug or intended that way?

I’ve been reading into this combination that supposedly gives you prolonged stealth. From what I’ve read, you need to do multiple heartseakers into the combo field from black powder. The problem I’m having is that I can only get one jump from in the field. I was wondering how to do heartseaker multiple times inside the field.

basically the world you put the majority of your time into wvw, there’s supposed to be an npc that tells you what world your associated with currently

I was wondering what everyone thinks of megaservers being applied to capital cities. Personally I don’t think they go together. I feel that it breaks up the server communities being the social hubs of the game and its unnecessary.

I can’t find this anywhere in my account. Was the mad king outfit supposted to be an outfit or tonic, and if so where can I access it?

They already did this server merger thing in a sense, before the tournament began you were given to option to voluntarily move to another server for free. Think that is far better than being forced to move to another server.

any other servers getting this issue? our server TS is full of people crashing all over the place in EB

Anet should make them look alot more intimidating to match their superman powers, let people know not to screw around with them or they will step on your head and flatten you.

As I remembered, this only happened because both Yaks and EBay were complaining that SBI was gaming them first by getting people into the servers to waste supply and destroy siege like golems and such.

going to start running dungeons with my guardian soon. Before I go into AC path 1, does anyone have advice for kiting burrows (skills and such)

Chuckling to myself at all the posted screen shots of FA ticking 0 or 5. Perhaps I should record today’s prime time coverage and show the wipes we’re inflicting upon you. Sure, HoD has some quality skill groups. A few. But FA guilds are continually steamrolling HoD groups during NA primetime.

The prime time tick is skewed. Blackjack is spot on in his explanations. Their towers and keeps are all T3 and they hide inside them until we paper them. I can’t even count the times that I’ve seen a HoD zerg run despite having much larger numbers than the group I’m running. I’d counsel civility within the thread, but HoD seems content to brag about their OCX time period when they have outrageous coverage on multiple maps. FA had a 5-man queue on EB and HodBL for about an hour yesterday. No other queues existed.

So please, HoD. Continue bragging about your off-hour coverage. We’ll continue farming you for bags when we’re actually online.

You don’t need to post screenshots there’s a timeline for ticks right here, you can even look up the average tick for every 10 mins in the charts. This chest thumping about you dominating prime time is something I can’t see at all.

engineers are a terrific ranged class, give it a try please. Its very underrated because its not especially stack friendly in dungeons, but I would recommend it cause its fun.

I’m looking at the tick comparisons for prime time hours, and the average, where is this FA prime time domination you guys are bragging about, seems pretty evened out to me.

I always thought that FA was a place with decent wvw peeps, heard so many good things about the server. Looking at this thread, as soon as they start losing, they become moaning babies, seriously folks, just have fun playing wvw, this grasping at excuses is lame. Everyone knows that FA is a competent wvw server, no need to puff your chests anymore.

Its pretty funny that anyone would even write this, does it look like HoD needs Yaks to field all three maps. There is no pact, please don’t add this to the mountain of excuses to whatever losing servers need to justify themselves. The match is still close and the outcome is still up in the air.

I agree wholeheartedly, this has become a trash talking thread thread and from what I can see its pretty much the norm for all wvw threads now, most topics become this pathetic mud slinging contest, no one can ever lose or win respectfully or graciously anymore it seems.

Wondering if this could possibly be implemented somewhere down the line, sort loot to group into similar categories, consumables, potions, armor, weapons, runes, etc. inside your inventory and bank. It would be a selectable action similar to compacting your loot together.

I used to be on Yaks Bend, I used to hear Slap that Yak!! in my old wvw guild when we saw invaders.

You know a good way to solve the RP problem is to just have role playing as one of the sorting mechanisms for mega servers, players identify themselves as role players as an option and they will be sorted to a server with like minded folks?
