Agreed, this has got to be one of the most whiny game related forums I’ve seen.

You spent about 20 minutes all blobbed up with Riot + friends in the southeast supply camp on Rof borderlands last night. If you’re going to complain about blobbing, don’t be the reason we actually do it.

Tbh I haven’t seen a single blob this week except on EB RoF & RoS.
As for RiOT, we wouldn’t blob up 50 vs 20.. RiOT is all about fighting, we seek blobs to fight.

A lot of times we waypoint to get rid of pugs following us, it’s not like we need blobbing to be successful. =.= There might be that rare occasion where RiOT blobbed but 90% of the time we don’t, so no need to cry about it on the forums each time you spot us.

I haven’t been part of any guild runs this week so I can’t tell how they went but I do know we don’t like blobbing up with people and we try to get rid of randoms following us.

This goes to anyone whining about blobbing, also ROS.

If it wasn’t for your guild’s obsession to mention blobs everytime you get killed it wouldn’t be such a big topic on every thread that includes Ros.

Did GH gain people/ Dzagonur lose people?
I’m surprised by the lead GH has currently and the point ticks at this time of the day which is usually a weaker time for GH.

I think it’s completly BS to complain about RiOT might blob up now and then, we all doe it. RoF I havn’t seen anything else than huge groups of random guild tags. WSR I only see random guildtags on EB. On their borderland we can see random guild tags, together with TEO, WAR or WBC…

Ok lets get a few things straight, the reason you see allot of random guild tags on Rof and WSR is because we don’t have T1-T3 guilds pure WvW guilds hop over to our server (you know, like FIRE has hopped a few times). Just because you decide to hop servers a few times and join the next bandwagon doesn’t mean you get to critisize servers who have been getting no incoming transfers for the past 8 months.
We have about 3 guilds who can pull 15+ people to WvW and a community consisting of a fair amount of Rof guilds who plays togheter BECAUSE of guilds like Riot, Velocity and the blobs.

Your even complaining about WSR running with more then one tag…really?
You have 4 times their population and your going to complain about them outnumbering your guild?

I mean we were a couple of times at your lord room, if you dont do proper mesmer check, do you really expect we dont hide one?

We did you just had thieves perma stealthing all the time, the mesmers you had in bay were EXTREMELY bad at hiding and got killed very fast for a mesmer everytime we found them.

I have the predator on my engineer, which I have been playing since the game came out. I do find it a shame that you can’t see the aura of the weapon when using kits, since kits are pretty much mandatory in PvE and you kind of shoot yourself in the foot if you don’t use kits in WvW outside of the static discharge build.
Would be nice if we kept the aura and footprints when using a kit, but its not like it ruins the game for me or something.

Aren’t you guys getting tired of making the same kind of dramatic post about how bad the game is and how you will quit etc…?

The matchup topic would be pretty bad considering those servers current match up thread involving mostly flaming, complaining about germany, focusing, night capping (even tho they have all done it), blobbing,…
Every topic has it but with those servers involved its usually x10, so the matchup topic would be an interesting read!

Would be a pretty nice match up tho, but doesn’t AG have a significantly larger population?

Okay, my bad for not pointing detailed instructions for young padawan. Pick your server name from first combobox (the window with dropdown list) and “Averaged by time of the day” from third. And we were doing fine in our BL (no queue obvoiusly, we don’t have that manpower) as UW had to move some ppl back to their BL and they couldn’t push past south towers

Don’t make me laugh it dosen’t say anything about coverage. So UW moved back some ppl from your border, as you said, somehow form our they didn’t, sounds like they didn’t take advantage of that “epic” battle in bay or just didn’t have that much manpower to capture your “full” border as you complain here.

By taking back we basically mean UW only had about 50-60 people instead of 80 on our border.
I think nearly every UW guild made an appearance yesterday on our borders and we had a really hard time defending everything. There was a constant UW pressure throughout primetime on our borders.
Not sure what you are trying to prove/accomplish with arguing here?

Pain Intended [PI] had a good time defending Rof this evening/early night alongside fellow rof against two big UW groups, one of them being SPGR. Managed to keep most of our borderlands and only lost bay after BT decided to be opportunistic yet again.

Had read allot of stories about blobs etc on other topics but UW has given me the chance to see one with my own eyes for the first time.
And BT have got to be the biggest vulture server I have ever faced since we always get hit by monster zergs from both sides at the same time while UW never seems to bother attacking BT borders. I forgot how frustrating one big server + a vulture server can be!
A good thing it leads to some quality fights tho =)

Actually – I’m disappointed in you. 1vs1 is not a challange in this match-up. People from RoF are much better than people from BT but still – you have the worst Thieves I’ve ever seen. The difference in “skill” of individual players is very evident.

To Corvus telling Rof to bring it on primetime, we were ticking +265… thats pretty good considering you have about double the amount of players in WvW…
I’m surprised UW players come on here to brag about taking EB etc when they outnumber 3:1…

Anyway been having some good fights with both BT and UW.

Pain Intended is a guild created on the release of the game and we have stuck with our server since then, through good and bad times. We started out very small and started growing leading us up to 190ish members. Inactivity sweeps are done about every month as we strive to have an activer member base.

We do all the content the game has to offer, be it PvE, guild missions, WvW or sPvP.
We currently have quite a strong focus on WvW as we do three official events usually having a good amount of guildies and have been making quite an impact on our servers WvW. Next to our official events you can always find groups of [PI] on WvW during evening/night GMT as we also have three commanders that play actively.
We do dungeons, fractals, world events on a daily basis and have all of the missions unlocked which we do weekly.

We use teamspeak 3 during and outside of our events to properly coordinate our efforts and to just have a nice chat and a good time. We also have forums where we plan our events to make sure people know when events are planned and to have a means of communication outside of the game.

We have a mature memberbase and in general a friendly atmosphere, I often consider us a casual guild but there is definatly the option to go semi-hardcore, especially when it comes to WvW.

Nothing funny about it. Ofcourse WSR drew the short straw again and to be the only server where you could attack a keep in the border without getting disconnected.
You should’ve kept it fair and square and stayed out of borders tbh, even if our bay was a no-crash zone.

As far as I know our hills didn’t cause people to disconnect. Not sure why you would complain over us attacking you in your bay when it was the only place we wouldn’t disconnect and you could defend without any issues… Its not like we took advantage of WSR disconnecting in bay, it was one of the few places we could actually fight.
Not sure why WSR always wants to play the victim.

Had allot of fun fighting in WSR, mostly bay, yesterday. Its a shame we got plagued by the crashes but it was the same for everyone.
Was especially funny when our bay turned into a no go zone, an AR zerg got into bay inner and mass disconnected followed by our zerg to defend/find arbor and we all disconnected aswell.

Had fun in the midday on WSR border, had been fighting there for quite a while and ended up taking everything besides hills I think. Had been the first time I had commanded outside of guild events in a while. There was a pretty big WSR presence in EB and I was expecting them to come support your borders when you lost SM.

Did FURY move from AG to GH?
Looks like Rof and GH will be swapping next week, I’m actually looking forward to seeing the results of GH vs Dzag vs Ros.

I just checked MOS after a week of not playing WvW as much, looks like we aren’t trading with GH
This matchup looks to be more balanced then was expected but I’m guessing those holidays have allot to do with it?

The easiest thing to do in Ros vs … posts is to completely ignore everything Illyest says since its either twisted truths or him bragging about things other guilds have accomplished for his server.
I mean he’s still here boasting about taking a keep off a server that has about a third of the WvW population they have (yet still can’t get out of the tier).

Was a fun week, despite being the small fish in this matchup it has been more enjoyable then I had expected. Thanks to all for the fights.

EDIT: And calling BNF a farmspot is a bit stupid since I’m pretty sure NOM wouldn’t stand a chance against them on even numbers. From my experience BNF is one of the better roaming guilds I have encountered next to SOE and Imp from Gunnar’s Hold.

I must say I do understand eclipse’s reaction. I mean Gh was so upset with Ros when you have basically been joined by a number of guilds twice also, just like Ros, and when it happenned to you you reacted just like Ros is doing now. Xaoc left in the end and so did most of the transfers that unbalanced our tier but seeing GH people posting here saying they know what its like to be outnumbered and say only Vabbi and Fow had it worse is just insulting. You have been outnumbering tier 7 ever since you got into it.

And I honestly doubt t7/t8 will get balanced since Ros will take a spot from a tier 6 server, and speaking out of experience, whatever T6 server that drops down will run all over the tier 7 servers.

I hope to meet both arbor and whiteside again next week and would like to say I’m glad for GH that they escaped the T7 hell for a week.

Pain Intended [PI] had a good night out today, it was also the first time we ran into a sizeable whiteside group so that was allot of fun. Thanks to Arbor and Whiteside guilds/players for all the fights!

On behalf of Rof, after I saw Illyest trying to prove original Ros was better then us because they won with more points or something, I’d like to add that Arbor also got a few transfers in so they have more numbers then they had before even counting NOM.
In general the numbers between Arbor and Rof have been fairly even throughout the fight with Whiteside have a fair amount less but Arbor and Rof have been mainly focusing eachothers bl’s.

Same here, Pain Intended [PI] guild on Ring of Fire. I hope Anet can fix this soon as our members logging in into an empty guild might make them think its dead or something.

Have to say when it comes to borderlands Arbor and Ring of fire have been going all out on eachother and whiteside is not getting attacked on their bl much at all.

Just wanted to say thanks to GH for the last few weeks, I know we tend to have forum brawls but the WvW has been more fun and balanced then Rof had had in a long time. I never expected I’d ever say this, but I’ll miss GH.

It keeps surprising me how guilds that have been in the same matchup for weeks and KNOW [PI] doesn’t condone glitching or whatever come out here acting as if I allow glitching and trying to tarnish my guild’s name instead of having a bit of tact and just contact me.
We have always played fair so don’t come on here trying to say we don’t, if the glitch hapenned then its obviously an isolated case and I will look into it. I’m also fairly sure none of us would even know how to glitch into something.

[PI] had a funevent last night, fighting allot of GH and Ros guilds. We started on Rof where ALLOT of Gunnars went all out on our borders later joined by vCy and, to our surprise, VoTF. There were allot of wipes/getting wiped and allot of quality fights, I especially enjoyed the three way fights in hills/bay.
We later went to ros and after capping a tower and a few camps we got rolled over by the ros zerg that had come, we only had about 10 guildies left at the time.

This basically translates into “we wiped rof randoms allot but when it was on even numbers we died”This might shock you, but riot basically is a blob on its own.

We had a fun evening fighting both GH and Ros guilds, allot of action and allot of nice fights.

Well, we wiped Riot+friends quite a few times in some nice fights so they ended up calling VcY to help them and basically outnumbering us 2:1.
Seeing Riot in here saying they want good fights only to see them end up calling another 200 man guild when its even… T1 guild? Meh.

I’m honestly surprised to see Riot on here crying about blobbing, they have a huge blob in bay but when someone else does it its not fun.

I have to say, seeing Riot calling out GH for blobbing (after half a day) is pretty weird considering Riot puts as many numbers out allone (30-35) then I have seen in the average GH zerg.
Had a really fun reset, we spent most of the time fighting on our borderland and had some really nice fights.

Just wondering, but didn’t GH basically get as many new guilds from the higher tier as Ros did? Or did Ros gain bigger guilds?

We had 15-20 PI and about 5 community members with us, seeing you say our zerg was huge is pretty funny considering yours was bigger but you probably didn’t see since you ran into a tower everytime you saw us. Shoutout to SOE guild for actually fighting in the open field despite having only 6-8 people. We had outmanned buff throughout our time on Dzag, GH didn’t so talking about our huge numbers is a bit weird.
I still don’t see why so many GH guilds insist on calling their opponents out because they wiped them once(with the help of about 30 Dzag’s that came in behind us). Grats!

Anet announced ages ago how they would always let WvW players know beforehand (alteast an hour) that there was a new build before we got thrown out.
Now all thats changed is you say there will be a build available in the next hour but what you really mean is the next 3 minutes.

How hard is it to just care about your WvW player base a bit and let us know an hour beforehand and actually have the build upgrade an hour later?

A huge Dzag zerg just rampaged all over our borders, sucks being outmanned on your own border. =(

I like how Yorric fails at having anything close to a discussion and always falls back to being a keyboard warrior. You should check out that major selective reading problem you have.
Shoutout to basically everyone else (besides [HT]) tho for getting further then acting like the biggest thing going in WvW today and actually discusses things.

I wouldn’t mind swapping to green as some PI still need garrison POI there but its not like taking that from GH is a walk in the park. :P

Drkn how does that ever seem like I’m saying it like you specifically recruited them? Everytime something remotely negative or unpositive is said about GH on these forums you basically get jumped by 5 people drawing everything out of context just because I didn’t say how great and awesome your server is. Even if I do say GH is a great server and has a very strong primetime someone will go and find something else I said, quote only that sentence, and start calling me out on it.
If anything I just wanted to know what drives [Krew] to come to EU tier 7. And its true, if it wasn’t for the point gap between GH and the other two you would probably be in tier 6, but you forget Miller’s and Drakkar their point gap was as big as yours and they totally dominated our tier, hence why I say I don’t think GH would stay in tier 6. Its not ment as an offence, but we’ve fought all three and GH isn’t even close to the amount of people they bring.

Anyway I guess we can just limit this topic to “good job guys” etc since anything that isn’t a clear compliment gets pulled out of context and you get 6 people quoting you saying the same thing. I had the wrong impression that this was also a place to discuss the matchup outside of saying how great everyone is.

Thanks to the people that actually replied without yelling "crying’ and actually used arguments, you all have your points and its these points I wanted to see. I’m still very happy with the stability GH provided in this tier, the fights have been amazing so far and I hope Rof learns allot from it.
