Verdict is still out on Blackgate and how they will fare in T1. JQ is proven, BG is not…yet. Not to mention, with all the recent transfers Blackgates’ identity has changed. We shall see I suppose. But I would warn against chest thumping before your server has even won a single match in T1. Like, ever.

BG has never done poorly in T1.

They were proving to be at least as strong as the current servers but were pushed out by SOR fighting a dead server.

BG fared well before all of this. BG will only fare better now.

I wouldn’t warn anyone against chest thumping.

Every server “chest thumps” and thats half the reason i read these threads. some people are getting way too aggravated by folks being proud/excited they are doing well in a game and making a post about it.

I say post away if you’re proud. Thats what forums are for.

Well, if you’ll reread my post, you’ll note that I never stated that BG ‘did poorly’ in T1. I said they’ve never ‘won’ a Tier 1 match…because they haven’t. And about the chest thumping, it’s generally better to chest thump when you’re actually winning, than chest thumping while you’re still playing in the Minor Leagues. Just saying, copy/paste can be a cold, cruel mistress, lol.

BG is playing in the minor leagues? I think Blackgate record versus one of your opponents is well documented, and I guess if your going to call Kaineng minor league, maybe you should look closer at your own matchup. It’s a good thing BG is doing all the chest thumping around here………snicker

See, this is the thing…chest thumping is much better when you’re winning. We’re winning. And yes, Tier 2 is the minors. How many times has a server dominated Tier 2, come into Tier 1 full of you know what and vinegar, and gotten steamrolled in 3rd place? I’ll give you a hint…alot. It’s happened alot of times. I’m sorry if these facts hurt your feelings, that isn’t my intent.

Well that and the fact that historically BG has a habit of talking a lot of smack when they are winning in T2, then coming to T1 and then getting just wrecked.

After reading all the BG trash talk posts from their players before they even get up here, it’ll be fun to put them in their place too.

It seems JQ is going to play the role of disciplinarian for the foreseeable future.

Hope you guys bring as much in game as you bring to the boards, I thought our JQ trolls were bad, but at least they were performing in game as well.

BG sure does talk a lot of smack when they haven’t ever done anything impressive in T1. Please hurry up back to come meet us, so we can send you right back down, and this time we’ll have equal coverage so no excuses.

It really does if you think about it, Glicko system with 3 servers per tier in a league of 24 servers with a 24/7 game is inherently flawed.

Human nature makes people to want to win, but in real life and most games, to have good competition to eventually win you just need the pre-requisite of drive, motivation, effort mixed in with some skill or talent. In this game to be competitive to win you need to stack your time zones.

I mean TC and beyond, it’s not ever going to be realistic any of the servers below have any chance whatsoever of ever moving up without transfers. That’s a flawed system and the more I think about it, I wonder wtf was Anet thinking.

I think it’s fair to say BG is the new super server, you may have equal or greater coverage to JQ now NA, Oceanic and Asian time zone and you will have 2 ups on us with VOTF and HB for your Euro coverage.

I don’t hold it against you quite frankly, I play on JQ and I think we over-recruited to beat SoS, you’ve done the same to beat us, but that doesn’t mean you didn’t over-recruit.

I really don’t blame the players at all, it’s the system that is flawed.

This whole thing reminds me of a nuclear arms race.

SoS was the threat so JQ over-recruited.
JQ is the threat so BG over-recruited.
BG may now have the best coverage.

Yet, somehow I feel this is not how the game was meant to be played. With people trying to “out-cover” their opponent. I don’t see a strong future with the game beyond the next few months, but it should be interesting to see how it all plays out and at least another game developer will learn, how not to setup your game system.

We need some Nuclear Arms disarmament and Non-proliferation agreements now, haha.

Not sure where SoS went-though, they’ll be missed either way.

I’m honestly quite surprised that SOR still comes out as they do considering they know full well they are going to lose everything again the next day to our asian force and they are going to have to start all over. Any other server would have thrown up the white flag. Testament to your server I suppose though, so props. Does show quite a bit of resiliency.

As for JQ, we’re here to stay as is, and we’re here to stay #1, any hint or insinuation that we should break up a good thing is laughable. What you guys should be doing is figuring out how to create a server amongst yourselves to match us. There is SoR, SoS, BG, and KN-collapse those 4 servers into 2 and we will have 3 equally matched servers for competition. Heck, I’m sure even TC has a couple competitive guilds which would be interested in fighting in the premier league.

I’ve never seen VOTF during NA primetime. They have a benefit of fighting both JQ and SoR when no other guilds have full strength.

They just seem zergy to me, when EMP was fighting them and we had almost the same numbers with pugs we wiped them consistently.
