Remember NYS, AFS, HIRE that make up most of your SEA? What about all the SBI guilds you absorbed as it crashed and burned? I don’t even remember most of those names. These transfers all happened around the same time period. Let’s not pretend that the super servers are not all the same in that they needed an infusion of new players to help them get to where they are.

in Asia time, we [SAHP] and [NYS] from SBI came to SOR about 4 month ago.
(I think [TSYM] and [HIRE] was join on same time ? they play little early, so I saw them less.)

at that time, we only had about 10-15ppl, NYS about 20-25. and that time, SOR’s asia time (you called SEAtime right ?) is almost empty.

NA guilds need get up early to cover SEA time, or need play until 3-4am to cover oceanic time.
I usually saw [CHOO] and [OCX][SEC] in our time, but we not have much ppl.

at that time, SAHP even not a main wvw guild, our member only have 2-3 hours can play in game every day, NYS same too , their PVE members more than WVW.

[AFS] come to SOR about 1~2 month ago. they love defend bl, that’s really helpful. so much thanks to them, they did great job.

every night, we started from + 50 ~ + 100, and happy we no let the ppt become zero LOL.
I brush my teeth before going to bed ,watching PPT gone (with my sieges T_T) every day.

And now, [IRON]come to SOR, we can sleep on time.

We have considered giving up, when we always be wiped by huge zerg, lost all of keep every night, login and saw enemy T3 keep on SOR bl.

But NA guilds gave us a lot of support.

I’m going to call some BS on this post.

First, BG has no room to talk to Iron that way as long as there is a certain guild called “War Machine” on that server. EVERYONE in WvW GW2 knows what WM did to SBI and Kaineng. Look at your own guilds before trying to talk down upon ours.

Second, I spent months on BG and competed against SoR for 11 weeks. I know how BG is, and they’ve hardly changed. Because of my departure from BG, many people thought I was a traitor because I went to SoR, so they put me on my contacts list. Only one of them actively participates in WvW. I had many people send me PMs trying to trash talk and what you guys call “Chest thump” and say that SoR would never survive in T1. Once Blackgate starting falling apart half of them kept telling me to quit the game (one I waited 5 years and spent a lot of money upgrading my system so I could have the best possible experience) because it was dying. These aren’t just simple people either. Some of them were leaders of guilds, or big parts of the guilds that often commanded.

I spent hours in teamspeak having them get frustrated with one guild for those 11 weeks, and that was TW, which is why whenever BG posts a “chest thumping” video it’s about TW or wiping Indo (which is why they have so few).

I know for a fact BG doesn’t welcome this competition. They’ve been MIA this week and last week and my Followers section of my contact list is becoming only blue names. Most of the guilds there are there for one reason, and that’s winning. I often wondered if some of the people in WvW on that server were actually having fun. Heck, one of the many reasons I left BG was because WvW stopped becoming fun.

To be fair, that’s not exclusive to BG. The amount of QQ you hear about TW in map chat and TS can fill a football stadium. The funny thing is I don’t think anyone in this game is unbeatable but TW has somehow managed to put hesitation into their enemies and they exploit that.

You can tell by how aggressive they are on the field while half their enemy is running away. I mean the battle is basically won on inc by them and it has nothing to do with their “superior skill” at that point.

The other problem is no one spends enough time on a map against them to improve. Everyone whines and kittenes but except for reset night, no wvw guild on JQ will sit in a BL to fight them and try to improve their game against them, which leaves the pugs to fend for themselves a lot of the time. The old EMP and FIRE probably used to spend the most time against TW on a map I feel, nowadays it’s wipe a few times to them and “lets hop to another map”.

Regardless, I think they are very beatable and could probably name a couple other guilds I’d be more “afraid” of, but they have a reputation and they use it fully to their advantage, on the field and off.

heh. I don’t think IRON expected all the wvw gamers on BG’s 24/7 FULL server to quit so quickly. This includes the 6+ guild transfers your server received 3 weeks ago.

You guys got another one in BT. Someone mentioned a Korean guild just joined you guys as well to make it to this Fridays reset.

They got BT and VK, but word on the street is, VK died as it transfered to BG. Poor thing didn’t even last a day in BG.

So DB is complaining about getting double teamed in T2 and SoR is asking to be double teamed in T1, lets trade those 2 servers, we’d be happy to have DB in T1.

It’s hard when BG keeps taking our stuff, quite frankly the fight for 1st is over, it’s obvious BG is just playing for 2nd now.

They are pretending to pressure SoR but are really taking the easy points from JQ. Why should we get into a 1v1 against SoR by ourselves when BG are playing like snakes?

There have already been occasions when people on rival servers were given the info and came in for friendly chats….. and then turned up unannounced in other channels with groups that were actually in wvw. So whilst I sympathize with your friendly intentions, I do not blame officers for being a little ban happy.

You see not only were my intentions good, but I also didn’t do anything wrong, and I wasn’t even in the ts when I got banned. So basically what I’m hearing is I was banned because I’m a member of blackgate and nothing more.

Stop your whining, if you like SoR that much go join them, but no one cares already. Spend more time fighting SoR less time trying to be their friends and kiss up to them.

What server is BT going to just out of curiosity?

Not the part that matters, Anet is implementing the brackets but not the “tourney” aspect.

You can’t do one without the other.

Right now putting a T1 server against anything in T2 or T3 is injustice to the lower rank servers, I don’t think Anet realizes that literal close to 24/7 coverage a T1 server has to have to be in T1 with little to no down time.

Does Anet not understand that the coverage difference between Tier 3 and Tier 2 is immense and the coverage difference between Tier 2 and Tier 1 is INSANE, the difference between a Tier 1 and Tier 3? LOLLLLLLL

To even consider putting a T1 server against T2 or T3 is outrageous.

Hope this bravado will still be there when you guys are facing equal numbers because I do believe SoR still is probably the server to beat during NA prime.

They’ve been the server to beat during NA prime since at least November if not earlier. I don’t see that changing anytime soon. BG and SoR have a contentious history but I don’t let that get in the way of my offering the respect their NA crew deserves.

BG has a longer history with SoR than JQ does. I can only speak for when they’ve been in T1.

I doubt it. From an outsider’s perspective, IRON seems like stand up guys that aren’t out here for ego stroking. They came to NA looking for a different experience and to help move a top tier server into the #1 spot. They scouted all three T1 servers and made their decision based on where it seemed like they were needed the most. The thing is, I don’t think they expected it to happen in the very first week. Now they’re looking around scratching their heads with their primary goal already accomplished, and they’re not finding the fun encounters they were hoping for. Hopefully that changes sometime soon.

If anything, this proves how precarious WvW server balance is in this game. I think morale, driven primarily by a player’s perception of their server’s ability to win, has a larger impact on WvW participation than many people realize.

There is a lot of whispers of the EU servers doing a bit of shuffling. I’m betting IRON will get some good competition here in the next few weeks. Once they arrive I’m hoping both BG/JQ’s NA can start showing up on a regular basis again, gets boring doing all this PvDoor during NA for NA servers.

Be careful what you wish for. Hopefully SoR doesn’t start crying when the tables turn. While I agree that you guys are fighting hard now and BG and JQ have more or less thrown in the towel for various reasons, it isn’t always going to be like that. Hope this bravado will still be there when you guys are facing equal numbers because I do believe SoR still is the server to beat during NA prime.

But i was scouting yesterdays JQ zerg in Eb yesterday. They ran with atleast 60 players taking every BG they could consume. We even circles around the BGkeep to catch them. And we were 25 iron with 15-18 allies..
Still they ran towards bravost and stayed in. We started trebbing them. And instead of coming out, they start counter trebbing.

On BG border earlier that evening we had no competition. Thats the only reason we went to EB.
Guesz we’ll get some good fights this weekend.

Ohm you guys brought over a massive army that no one have numbers to compete against. RK is the only active EU wvw guilds on any of the servers that have numbers close to yours and you outnumber us by 10-20 people in most cases.

This information was available to you when you transferred over. When BG goes down a tier or get mixed out there will be no forces left to fight you. We have the latest Asian going into EU. This was all known information.

You’re not the only EU force on JQ. You have near a dozen board contributors from EU kitten . Between you and BG sea stripping us during this time… How do you not drown in so much bullkitten? Lol

RK is in BG not JQ. Yes there are other smaller forces like SF on JQ that run some stuff during EU, but they tend not to have more then 5-10 and ohter then that there might be a few here and there, but nothing massive.

It is not until at the end of the night the NA guilds start arriving that we see JQ forces out in force. Now for BG’s SEA the issue is life.
They can not push them self to my hour every day and RK can not stay active for longer then we do. We are a limited guild with limited number.

Yes sometimes we have help, but when we come on BG we are the only force with numbers. Yes there are others, but they do not have the numbers we do and IRON still outnumber us with 10-20 people.

I don’t understand how BG is whining. The only server that has a legitimate complain is JQ, we’ve never had Euro.

BG has had Euro before in the form of HB and RK, both together and separately. Quite frankly, BG was the ONLY NA server with Euro before SoR.

You guys need to stop crying and step up your game, as it is now, JQ is in a 1v1 against SoR, feel free to jump into the fight anytime. Or keep crying, that’s all BG seems good at nowadays.

The RK guys seem to be crying the most which is hilarious considering, all I heard is smack talk from them when they were the ONLY Euro presence in T1.

Really next week is going to be less of a fight of who’s #1 but more of a fight about who’s going to stay in T1.

After this week’s performance I’m really excited for JQ. We are on a rally, T1 isn’t T1 without JQ.

I’d just like to say today was the first time I got a chance to play during Euro and fight IRON. I was not disappointed, you guys won some fights I didn’t expect you to win and you made some moves which left us wondering what is going on. You guys are definitely a tough fight, we had some wins and losses but it was fun overall.

I have to say, having you guys in the tier is a lot of fun and while I cannot play Euro everyday, it’s definately good to have you guys out there to balance off the usual 500+ BG ppt they had past few weeks, JQ actually ticked for highest ppt a few times throughout the day.

SoR better watch out, we are only 26k behind and we made up 15k last night, it’s still anyone’s game! We ticked at 400+ during late SEA too.

I was on JQ when Indo and TW were here. I think they were instrumental in getting our act together and getting the server organized initially to get to #1 when we did.

Personally, I think any server that has them is lucky if for no other reason alone than they are able to bring organization and build the community on the server they play on. The fact that they also hold their own on the battlefield is just a bonus.

That being said, their forum warriors need to take it easy, they don’t do their guild rep justice. I know they don’t care either way but just my opinion.

That was kinda the point of the post lol, I’m getting bored at the game as are a lot of players on the server. The lack of new content and the long hours to maintain something that doesn’t actually matter in the long term will mean that I will be tagging up a lot less – and reflects the current SotG. Everyone is feeling the brunt of attrition, and some servers are feeling it worse than others.

I re-edited my post for clarity because second read through it seemed trolly even though it was sincere.

Anyways I think you need to change your perspective and the reason you play the game. Don’t put in the long hours anymore, play less but when you play , make sure it’s of quality time with your guildmates and servermates. Heck, take a vacation on a T8 server with your guild then come back to T1. Change it up, keep it interesting. Overplay will lead to burnout regardless of what game you are playing though quite frankly. WvW itself may be stagnant, but it’s the people you play with and your competition that keep it interesting.

Either way, it sounds like you need a break from the game or you are just done with the game in general.

You sound upset Tarkus. You shouldn’t let the negativity or the opinions of the forums get to you. It’s a gaming forum, people will troll.

MERC works hard for their server and probably overplays the most of all the guilds in this tier and it’s affecting you. You put in way more effort than your server or others give you credit for, but this can lead to burnout.

You have to chill out, after all it’s just a game.

I think it has been stated by many BG’ers that they don’t care about their server community and it’s not for everyone.

The server itself would have probably died out ages ago but they are able to buy over guilds without the blink of an eye, unlike the other servers, so having constant new transfers to their server sustains them.

Why is DB doing so bad now? From winning by over 80k to losing badly in 3rd, are they just not showing up? What exactly is going on.

Also, the match is still pretty close.

As much as it sucks as a NA player, T1 hasn’t ever been this close score wise.

Thinking more on it, I think all 3 servers are probably close over the 24 hour cycle coverage wise to keep the score close, it’s just that no one is used to SoR being in the fray this time. As someone stated above, JQ typically didn’t worry about SoR in the past only BG. Now we have to worry about both servers and we’re not used to that. I can only assume BG never worried about SoR before either.

Give us time to re-strategize and re-deploy our forces.

I wasn’t judging skill or ‘performance’, just population wise. BG has the highest population with the best connector through the time zones.

SoR has the 2nd best connector EU to NA.

JQ has no connectors, we just have the best SEA but that’s it.

Far as I’m concerned EU wise BG and SoR have the same coverage. It’s just that SoR’s EU seems more organized. I’ll give you that JQ has the strongest SEA of the 3 but we need a connector. BG currently has the best oceanic and 2nd best SEA.

JQ has best SEA > no connector either side oceanic or EU
BG has best OCEANIC > 2nd best SEA > equal EU to SoR
SoR has Equal EU to BG > best NA

Oddly, from the coverage it seems that BG honestly has the best overall coverage of the 3 servers and the best connector ( oceanic > sea > EU), they’ve just stopped showing up for whatever reasons. Rumor mill has it they are talking to a bunch of guilds and are showing weakness like they did before they got their KN guilds.
