I’d like to say I “died” but I took out a few people who tried fighting my guildie and I while we were doing it. :P Whoever the SF warrior and guardian were camping the arena, it was a pretty sad show.

In most cases, I’d agree with you. For me, however, I spend a lot of time at WvW fight nights, where the more skilled players go rather than facing solo roaming players in the open field. :P Especially since I’m at the lower tiers of WvW, there’s a much higher emphasis on individual skill. I also have a Champion Hunter title, so no, I don’t do fast joins. xD

The fact that you give no example but your personal feeling shows how clueless and baseless you are.

First of all, SB NEVER, EVER should have had the same range as LB. This is logical. I’m surprised it took them THIS LONG to nerf it. Secondly, a lot of the skills got a damage buff. Third, the only real nerfs rangers got this patch was in the pet damage. So, man, I dunno.

All I ever see are people QQing about being a ranger or dismissing a ranger as worthless, and yet I’ve been playing one since launch and have never really had a problem. I do pretty well in almost every circumstance, PvE, PvP, WvW, and the only class I can’t handle is fighting guardians.

Am I wrong for thinking a lot of the complaining is baseless? =/ I feel like I’m the only one who knows how to play the class sometimes….

So apparently since the update the Skritt suspect, Kasparak, is missing. I wanted to finally complete my story

I truly wish we could get away from HOD. Nothing like us having the outmanned on EB and HOD still has to be lame enough to send 14 golems to take our keep. What a seriously pathetic server. All I could see was a wave of red like HOD was on it’s period.

Its hilarious to me when people post stuff like this. HoD QQ! Zergs and numbers QQ! Same thing happens to us when we get put up against servers like BP. Which they were so bored of outnumbered us, they built like 30 Omega Golems and pillaged our remaining land for fun. Don’t call the server pathetic. Blame Anet for making this wack system.

Or your server could stop being such cowards and stop only fighting the the lowest pop server. Apparently SF is to much of an even fight for you that you avoid them and resort to fighting a server with 1/3rd the pop. While yes Anet did this screwed up MM system it’s HOD that is showing how lame they are in their gameplay.

Are you for real? it’s WvWvW. There are three worlds, it’s a three-way matchup. Not to mention that ET has had insanely large zergs (by comparison to what they usually have) this week that I’ve been nothing but impressed and, to a certain extent, proud of. Rather than complain you guys should be happy that you’re doing as well as you are, this week. It’s pretty amazing.

Also, we hit SF juuuuuust as often as we hit ET. :P Don’t believe it? Compare your bl vs SF’s right now, and try saying something.

No, no, we really are happy for you guys! Reset night was HORRIBLE getting steamrolled by an ET zerg, but it was also a happy feeling knowing you guys might be able to compete just a tiny bit better this time around.

Despite knowing that we’ll win this matchup (this isn’t boasting, just honesty) I think we’ll be able to get some good fights. Looking forward to going up against Yarr, Bs and Deth again.

Yes, they switched to HoD when NSP moved to T7, I believe.

NSP more skilled in open field fights…roflmao. The only good guilds they had for open field were XOXO and SPCA, which HoD counters with PAXA and KoM alone.

Considering I half came up with this theory, I support it. xD

Right. When I was there it was basically 1 group of 20 HoD running around trying to counter. 1 group of about 10 trying to get siege and counter BP attackers and another group of 5-10 flipping camps back or joining with the 20 man squad.

Our 20 man group would fight one of your 2, 30 man groups. Then run to fight the next one which had taken a keep or tower while we were fighting the other. Not terribly effective I’m sure but it was the best we could do.

Making yourself look big to wipe zergs much bigger than yours? It must have confused you when a smaller zerg hit you. I won’t say we won every time, but we won quite often. Good times.

Smack talk aside, it’s kind of a shame we’ll never see that level of fight again.

Still good fun though. I don’t think the rest of the week will be very interesting though. I can say that HoD will come out but don’t expect a reset night numbers again. maybe 20 at max.

Looking forward to fight night though. Should see some good match ups.

You guys just drew the short straw I am afraid, and had a tier 5/4 server drop down into tier 8. We’ve been training our guilds and pugs for weeks to fight Ebay, who despite all the trash talk and QQ in our threads the last couple of months, are a very potent server who could probably give tier 3 a run for their money. Our guild zergs have become pretty lethal, and our pugs smart. They had to be to survive against our previous opponent. The fact that we are winning now just creates a snowball effect to get them to want to play longer.

Let’s discuss the legendary “fall from T1.” I’m fairly certain that a smaller HoD zerg could wipe a big BP zerg, under the same premise that you just said but because was had to fall from T1 winning every week to losing every single matchup because we lost over half of our population in one go. :P

I noticed most rangers use Longbow now. Last I checked everyone was “qqqqqqqqqqq LB sucks qqqqqqqqq” so what happened? haha

When this happened on SFR it spawned a huge increase in guardians and wall of reflection usage….until all the rangers quit/rerolled

I’ve always used Longbow, since launch. In fact, my ranger, who is my main, has never and will never even equip a shortbow. And everytime somebody has insisted LB sucks, I ended up kicking kitten . So I don’t know what people are talking about. ;P

I found quite the unexpected guest when I went to Lion’s Arch.

My mesmer is name Maedhbh, and Irish name meaning ’Intoxicating," which I thought fitting for a mesmer.

According to some people on these forums, there’s only ONE right way to play and everyone else is an kitten for playing the way they want. They look down their noses at anyone else who plays differently, but as a ruminant (ie, bull, moose, dolyak and so on) a quarter of the time on the field, my nose will always be longer than yours unless you join in my shenanigans, ease up on the sphincter a bit and quit being all uptight and self righteous. It’s a game folks – a game where some like to take objectives, some like to kill some like do all of the above and be silly doing it.

And screw pie, the answer for everything is bacon!!
