Unfortunately, that’s just the way the game is. It’s an automatically imposed transfer cooldown so people can’t just keep transferring for whatever reason. In all honesty, do what people are saying and just guest on different homeworlds until you find the one you want and your cooldown wears off. You can guest to two different servers every 24 hours, so in 6 days I’m sure you’ll find a good home.

In other news, HoD has a great community.

I just finished both of them and only got 10 for the first one completed. That is a little silly. We should be rewarded for completing both. We put earned both rewards by doing them so why not be rewarded for both.

Because neither are necessary, and it’s YOUR choice to do both. They announced that you would get rewards for one or the other, and it’s to make it so the PvPers can actually go out and PvE when they want to. Aside from the fact your monthly already gives rewards aside from laurels..

No, I don’t think you are. Your response makes sense. It’s just that my thought is by nerfing farming events, you’re decreasing supply and demand will increase, therefore giving the traders even more money and taking money away from the farmers that they never even made.

I never said it was easy, and even if it was, I wouldn’t do it. It’s not something that I enjoy. You’re missing the point of the thread: I’m not saying omfg QQ no one ever play the TP again, I’m saying how is it a problem if I can farm (let’s say) 10g an hour and that’s a bad bad horrible thing and Anet must nerf it immediately, when someone can sit in Lion’s Arch and not move a stop and make 1000 times more than what I make? It’s not like there’s an obscenely higher amount of effort made between the two, but one’s horrible and the other isn’t. It’s like let’s make the rich richer and the poor poorer kind of thing

Plinx got a huge nerf a while back,
The camp trio karma train in Cursed Shore spawns less mobs and gives less loot than it used to
The mobs at jormag used to drop loot, not it’s absolutely kitten.

There’s a few other events, I’m sure, that I’ve missed, but it’s also well known that Anet is highly against that kind of “don’t think just farm” mentality that a lot of players are actually comfortable with.

It’s kind of like I work my kitten of at a minimum wage job just for them to decrease the minimum wage later on.

EDIT: Okay, let me be a bit clearer, since people seem to be misunderstanding. I don’t hate people who play the TP, I don’t think it should be changed or removed or whatever. I did the same thing in Aion, a lot of it, and I have no patience for it here so I don’t do it, but I have no problem with it. What I’m trying to say is that these people making a lot more gold than farmers do, unless we get some obscene luck and pull a precursor. Yet, Anet seems to think that nerfing farm events is necessary, when the gold income of farmers is much less than traders.

Are you sure it’s actually a bugged event, or is it an event that continuously spawned mobs until completed?

I think the key is not giving a kitten. I got Dusk yesterday after getting 3 rare greatswords from farming and asking a guildie for a fourth. It was kind of an “I don’t care” type of thing, just threw ‘em in and honestly only expected a rare back. Next thing I see: Dusk. When I got my Leaf of Kudzu it was when I told myself I’d spend my 10 gold on exotic longbows and if I don’t meh it’s just 10g who cares and if I do get it then cool.

No care = win.

I was just like you, once. Thinking the gem prices were OBSCENE. Like oh my god it’s up to 3g for 100 gems!? That’s so expensive.

But then I think, for just a minute, and realize that Anet is offering us cash shop items essentially for free. Don’t wanna spend money on the game? Use gold to buy gems. Don’t want to use gold to buy gems? Then don’t buy any. You can play the entire game without ever needing a gem shop item. Not to mention they also give some of them free in story and daily quests, such as keys.

Essentially, we’ll complain as much as we want, but in the end, we’re just entitled and expressing our lame first-world problems. Just some food for thought!

It’s also good have healing builds going when you’re doing it. I’ve gotten into the habit of bringing my water ele for Balth.

What actually causes the huge morale drop at the top of the hill is because a wave of Risen nobles that spawns…mobs that go invis and shadow step and basically you have to stand back and let yourself die to them unless you want your pact to be instagibbed.

You should also time it so thaty you get two escort events completed. It more than doubles the available morale, making the event really easy.

Big props to the 5-10 LH group that held against the 15+ random NSP we had crashing against you a few minutes ago at greenvale. I never expected stacking/turtling to be a viable tactic for smaller numbers like that.

A competent guardian makes turtling pretty good. :o And honestly, turtling for small numbers is a LOT more effective than turtling in a zerg.

Having fun at HoD Hills right now, though I’m kinda sad you guys didn’t let my 5 man team cap it earlier.

I think the reason you’ve never seen an enemy player with one is because they don’t have a slot so you do deposit collectibles and they poof, and you get too many collectibles in WvW.

Apparently, writing a well-thought out analysis of the current situation doesn’t work, and mods are annoying on this god kitten forum, so, here, a revised version:

There have been some great fights, both this week and last, against some very memorable guilds for me; as sad as I was that GoM left, taking RH with them, I’ve had the pleasure of fighting guilds such as [KING] and [PvP] who, while less of a small-man force of amazing like [RH] was, have been a blast to fight. NSP, too, has guilds that I absolutely love encountering, namely [Os] and [TFG].

As some of you, on all servers, might be aware, there has been some drama involving one of our commanders. She was bribed to transfer over to NSP, and, despite whatever she may claim her intentions to be, we take our server pride very seriously on HoD. As such, we consider what she did to be selling out and, most obviously, made her a kill on sight target in WvW. Apparently, she assumed that this would not happen and threw a hissy fit, deciding that she was transferring to NSP permanently and making sure that she would push us down to T8, so that HoD will “feel her wrath.”

I’ve lost a lot of respect for [XOXO] after tonight. Not for inviting her into your guild, not for bribing her to your server, but for joining in on her theatrics. You’re talking about a girl who claims that she trained all of the commanders on the server. The person who thinks she’s the kitten and would often drop in to voice comms in order to do nothing but complain about how everyone else is bad and she’s absolutely fantastic. About the girl who is so afraid of us focus firing her for stabbing us in the back that she’s scurrying for gold so she can buy a makeover kit. I’m sure you’ll soon grow as tired of her drama queen act as we all were, but she was still one of us, so until then, I hope you don’t mind that all of HoD will be hunting you.

I can justify the purchase of it…I spend a lot of time in Orr/Frostgorge, as well as daily Orichalcum runs. I mean, it’ll take a while to pay off, but it’s worth it in the long run.

I don’t think so, from my experience. I’ve completed two sets of clovers, and in both cases I actually got increased success rates towards the end. But, in the end, it’s all just luck; some people will get 30 in one go and then none for a while, and some will get the exact opposite.

You’re either getting kitten poor luck with your bounties, or your guild just sucks. Mine consistently does T2 bounties with about 15~30 members, and mostly in the 15~20 range.

ATM i am worried that HoD and NSP would separate but from what I hear theres good fights between the two with strong guilds on both servers (GT PAXA KoM // splt xoxo spca tm) but if point difference is close maybe its more likely SF will be replaced by another server idk

Can anyone explain to me why NSP is red this week, weren’t they second last week or did I miss something? I don’t understand the points or rating system and would actually like to know how it works so I dont transfer to a server and have it move up or down the next week

Basically, the way the system works is you have your rating, and whether you gain or lose points is based on how the system projects you should do given your past successes. Therefore, since SF was at the bottom of the tier and they absolutely destroyed us, their rating shoots up, putting them ahead of the other two servers, where both HoD and NSP lost points because they didn’t do as well as it was projected they would do. Because HoD wasn’t so far behind NSP, we didn’t lost enough rating for us to fall to red, thus putting us in blue and NSP in red, though the point disparity is very low right now.

Go GoM, you can do it!
