5 from the Diving board? I know about the ones from the lions heads underwater, and the underwater fountains, but where are these you speak of?
*edit
Nevermind, forgot they removed them.
I hope they plan on adding more to the explorable zones, then. If not, they are just punishing the innocent more than the guilty. There were, what, 11 ToT bags in LA? That’s almost half of the total ToT bags found from suspicious areas. (16 in the explorable areas I believe)
I’ve found the personal quests extremely easy. Currently I’ve been doing them 10 levels higher then I am. Sucks cause the loot I get is way to high for me to use, and I usually find better before then, but funny how it feels that I really shouldn’t be doing these quests because they should be insta kill for me.
Hello. I am just looking for information about all of the quests that were made available for the Halloween event so far. I will admit I’m loving it right now, but when I got in for the first time I was soooo confused on what to do. So far this is what I’ve done:
I’ve collected all of the pages and got the Book for my back.
I’ve carved about 70 pumpkins last night
found about 500 candy corn
knocked on 4-5 doors. (Only found some treats, some mob spawns, and 2 ‘event’ mobs that were actually just vet skeletons.)
As for actual quests, I haven’t seen any. Am I missing anything here, or is this all that is currently available until the next act starts. I just want to make sure that I am getting the most out of this event. I’ve heard of people doing Halloween quests, but at this time I haven’t seen any.
I’m just asking for some information on what I may be missing so far.
I have no problem with them nerfing down the damage of a lot of the skills. I only ask that if they do this, they give us an actual stealth ability, something long term.
I think the thief needs to be more quick in and out burst attackers, the whole purpose of a thief is someone that comes out of nowhere, does what he needs to, and disappears, and they need that done here.
They need to have their basic attacks, a long beginning stealth (if not ever lasting with a slower move like DAoC), and more blinding skills to do quick vanishings that have short stealth times to move out of the way or get behind targets.
This will make it more of a skill based class instead of whatever it is people are complaining about.
These threads are so stupid. You have to realize it’s just a matter of how you play and what class you are. Every class of every mmo i’ve played had it’s counters, and that’s ll it is here. The issue people have is they are not expecting it from that class. Talk to any theif and you’ll find out that some classes they dominate with proper planning, and others are either a great struggle or near impossible.
Theif is not like most other classes. You have to plan your attacks out a great deal more. That alone makes the theif class LESS OP as people state. It’s not all that simple to stealth up and get BEHIND a target to backstab in such a small time. Again, it’s all about planning and proper skill in implementing. There is no 1 button wonder in doing these attacks.
If you got smacked the way you did, you obviously were either idle/afk, not moving, or not paying attention. Theives don’t have a long kitten stealth time like other games, so we cannot just sit there and follow you, or come from a great distance to get the jump on you. They are in an area that if you were paying attention, you would HAVE to see them before they stealth and prepare yourself.
Stop blaming a class just because you get dominated by them..learn to play better instead.
I’ve been playing for only about a week and a half, and I’ve only been able to level a ranger to 18, and a thief to 24. I started playing sPvP a few days ago with the thief and absolutely loved it, but it was such a small area it was mainly a spam fest of my keys.
I played WvW last night with my thief and I was amazed on how fun it was. It involved more skill of me in the game, more thinking, and more quick judgement calls that made it a very involving class. Spamming for me in WvW = death.
From what I played last night I enjoyed the in and out strikes and the fact I was a strong keep defender with my poison arrows aoe. I didn’t do a huge amount of up close fighting, but from what I was doing, I just went in for quick in and out strikes to add effects to players and made it difficult for their team to heal and revive with the poison aoe’s
