Hes able to transfer servers, but will have to wait I guess to join Fort Aspenwood
Yeah, we would p[lay WvW together.,
Also, he wants to come to my server, which shows full. How often are they full, or will he ever be able to join my server?
My friend finally was able to get his password fixed after 2+ years of back and forth conversations with ANet. He wants to create a new character on my server, but we dont see a way to do so. He only has a level 20ish on the server he is currently in, but wants to start fresh on mine. How does he do that. I see a server transfer option, but that costs 1800 gems, which I dont think he should have to pay starting fresh. Is there any other way of doing this?
Ok, I thought that its been out a while. The sticky for “GW2 Combat System 101 (Guide)” answers some questions, but they link videos from 2012 and expect it to match up with what they are saying, which it doesn’t.
Sorry for the begging here. I haven’t played the game in nearly 2 years, so I logged in to get on my assassin to see that there is a whoel new skill system it reset me into. Instead of guessing, I decided to create a Ranger and start her from scratch to learn this new skill system. Needless to say, I’m still kind of clueless as to what I’m doing. I am level 28, and I have like 40-50 hero points, and I’m not sure what to put them in, and how things work together. Can anyone help here?
I’m currently running a Power/precision build with LB and GS and my pet. I’m not sure what to spend hero points on, cause they all look like you can only use them one at a time, which makes me hesitant on spending anything.
I need to add, this is for a PvE build currently, I’ll worry about PvE when this one gets to 80.

What I’m surprised on is that one of the selling points of GW2 before it came out was that the expansions were supposed to be free. Guess that was a bit of miscommunication with Gamestop, Bestbuy, and Target.
Doesn’t go into much detail. :/
happen to have a link?
What has really changed with thief?
Is this build still viable?
http://www.gw2build.com/builds/simulator.php#1.7.1.10.13.0.0.0.0.0.156.165.168.176.179.0.0.0.456.459.460.468.475.476.0.0.0.0.0.0.515.0.0.30.30.0.0.10
What are some things I have to now consider in building off my thief?
All these dang cats all over the forums. If I wanted to hang out with this many cats, I’d date the old crazy cat lady down the road. I love kittens, but only in small doses at a time.
Thanks Minos.
It’s a beautiful game, I admit. The seasonal events are great to. The only issue I had with this game it it truly had a hard cap at the end. Your story ended, so there was really nothing after that but to grind for a legendary or PvP. PvP is great, but you are so limited in your skills and abilities that most things become predictable. You know what someone is going to do because they are stuck using the same skills as anyone else.
I’ll come back just to see what’s going on and to see if my guild still plays (Since Rift became free, I think they moved on), but I would really like to see at least new weapons in the game with more random of properties. It’s very discouraging to play against people that have the same exact weapon as you.
I came from games like Dark Age of Camelot that had more of a variety of weapons. They had some stupid, almost generated names, but they were more unique. This game reminds me a lot of Dark Age, but it lacks the luster when it comes to equipment. Pretty much at the end game, everyone has the same equipment.
Well.. Let me ask more specifically. From a PLAYER standpoint, was there anything added that is worth coming back to?
Good morning everyone!
I’ve been out of game for many months now (After Wintersday, but left before Flame and Frost). I left with the reasoning that I was stuck in Oor, and it was hard to get anyone to do anything in the World Events.
My question is this, since I have left, have there been any new additions to the game? Have the world events improved? Is there more content and more armor and weapon options?
I want to come back, but I want to make sure it’s worth me coming back.
This isn’t a troll post or anything, I’m honestly curious as to what has changed since I left.
Well, to start flaming, you need to find a person and just start verbally harassing them in a threatening manner. Insult them over the littlest things.
To start frosting is a bit more difficult and confusing, but it involves cake!
In all jokes aside, it just kind of ‘happens’

They have already said, that they will not publicly discuss the penalties and the internal rules about them. They simply don’t want the users to work around penalties. If you know in detail what will happen when, you tend to go to the margins but you won’t cross the line. In order to have a clean environment you keep shut up and the people are more careful.
At least that is what they want to achieve – as I understand it.
If you want an answer you should ask the special mail-address. But don’t count on getting an answer. No answer in guaranteed there or here.
Wow, you clearly didn’t even read the thread before posting.

May we please have a response from the staff on this. This seems like a major issue within the company. I’m not demanding anything, I’m just politely asking.
I used to get between 1-3 ectos off a rare, but last month I went through a whole NEW BLK that I bought and only found 1 ecto in the whole batch. Promptly stopped deconning rares after that. Found I got more money selling the rares themselves.
I think if a person is clearly picking the most crowded areas of the game, like trading post or bank in L.A. or a world event and spams it there its pretty obvious the person is out to annoy and looking for attention.
Kinda reminds me of Aion the power shards spam turning off and on was annoying. I think the did temporary bans for it.
I’ve played Aion from Closed Beta to a few montsh after it became F2P, and I’ve never heard of such a thing.

Is this being worked on? I literally just got a response back from ANet from a e-mail I sent over 2 months ago. The e-mail agreed that the infraction was a mistake and removed it, but after 2 months, doesn’t it automatically clean itself off?
2 months seems very unacceptable for support responses.
I never said I was. I clearly stated “It’s people like op that make me not want to play this game anymore….crying over such things.”
People that pick such stupid things to sit here and complain about and report about do make me want to leave. I’ve had many talks in game with GMs because of people like OP reporting me for unwarranted issues. It’s because of people like OP that innocent people ‘accidently’ have their accounts banned because of consistent reports against them. The in game support isn’t that great in this game, they may just see “Oh, this person has X amount of complaints and I have a busy day!” #BAN#
I know it happens in this game quite often. I’ve had friends that have been banned because of people like OP reporting for nothing, and it took them days to weeks to get back in because of the mistake.
So yes, it’s because of people like OP that make me want to quit this game.
Playing your bell on auto is just their way of showing off their rare item. If you want to have people banned for showing off their bell, then you may as well have everyone that stands in city’s with their commander sign. If we’re going that far, you may as well have the people dancing around with their legendaries in towns banned. I see no difference except one is an audible flaunt which you can turn off by muting your sound or turning off SFX, and the other being a visual nuisance that you cannot turn off.
I know it’s an outreach, but really there is no difference.
This isn’t an exploit. It’s not breaking game mechanics. It’s only annoying to people who choose to continually stand next to that person without the sense to either hit mute or turn off the sfx in town.
It’s people like op that make me not want to play this game anymore….crying over such things.
Nobody is crying, we are stating facts, and if you want to quit over something like this, then good riddance. You’re actually the one Q_Qing. See you later.
If it’s not spam then why did they put a time limit on how often you can do /rank and /zrank in gw1? It’s the same thing, but with visual effects, instead of aural.
Well, you have your opinions and I have my own. And your opinions in what I stated means nothing to me
I think the issue is that it will cost him money and at least 2 weeks to get all that stuff back now.

If they nerf my dancing daggers, I’m quitting GW2.
I think they need more risen, to be completely honest. They are all rather easy to kill (except for the veterans…Risen veterans seem a bit over powered compared to other areas). The only issue I have is that stupid anchor pull that most of them have. Run into an area and you get pulled 4 different ways within 2 seconds.
If they tone that down and add more Risen, I’d be happy.
If it were me, after taking all the items from the guild bank, I’d fill the bank back up with porous bones. That way you could say “OOps, it must have been that pesky DR invading your guild vault!”
Just not worth it for me out there for the amount of damage the karka deal out compared to orr.
I seriously don’t understand how people are having such a hard time with this. I’ve been able to do it multiple times on multiple characters, and usually when our side is in last place in the WvW map.
Looks at skill bar, no abilities for reason, passion or love. Just doing really bad things on my bar. I feel controlled.
This made me search for the “Baw” skill, but alas, there is none.
I disagree. They should not have gotten a refund. They paid for the services, exploited those services, and were banned per the ToS. If they were smart enough to print ectos by the hundreds/thousands, they would be smart enough to know it shouldn’t be happening and stop.
This also happened over the holidays when i am sure a lot of their staff were not around to fix this issue.
I think that’s why they refunded them. Their ToS was so open, that people could argue the fact that it wasn’t an exploit, but something designed in the game. It didn’t help the company either that one of their staff was spitting out calculations saying it wasn’t truly an exploit, either.
As a person on the side-lines, I still believe what they did was not truly exploiting as they had to buy BL salvage kits with either Gems or real money to even get the ectos.
The main thing that the ‘pro-nudity’ posters have failed to adress is what it would ADD to the game.
Because it will take up artist time to make anything decent, but it wouldn’t add to the gameplay at all.
Granted, you might have had an argument if Anet actively removed nudity…but in a game that never had any nudity, can you really claim not adding it is censorship? If anything, you could argue that modelling underwear takes a lot less time and resources than sculpting private parts.
So there’s no real reason to add it, and there’s no censorship because you can’t censor what was never there to begin with.
It would add a new profession to the game.
While I agree that you shouldn’t be able to go back and change things on your story willy-nilly, I also think that the faction locked armour is kind of annoying.
Really, there isn’t a reason (besides an entirely RP based one) that you shouldn’t be able to get the other factions armour at some point in the game. Even if you could only get the skins, or something.
I wouldn’t want this, personally. What would be the point of feeling like you belonged to a faction when everyone and their mother dressed like them when they weren’t?
Easier to buy the exotic. Bought 2 carrion daggers and 2 exotic orrian pistols for a total of 6 gold. Only difference between what I bought and the inquest versions is the look, nothing more.

THIS IS WHY IT SHOULDN’T HAPPEN!!! (for male models)
lol, I’d imagine that members from the Order of Whispers would LOVE to buy other order armor…that way they can infiltrate them and gather their secrets.
I will probably get an infraction for ‘bumping’ this, but it’s been over 22 hours and no response.
ANet/NCSoft, is there another forum where I would possibly ask these types of questions?
Chances are your mass spam on the forums will result in your forum removal. Not sure if you’re going to get all your responses.
That’s what happens when you go on the forums and watch the dredge exploit video. Shame on you, lol.
Is there a place we can ask general questions for or about NCSoft or ArenaNet?
For example, I hear that some of the Dark Age of Camelot developers also worked on Guild Wars 2. Is that True? If so, are there plans for a sequel in that game?
Tosha, go to the Lost Shores. Unless they fixed it, I kept falling under the mountain side many times a day.
Many of you may or may not know that there are actually mobs that spawn under the map. Thieves should know this well because we tend to fall under it with our buggy steal ability. One thing I’ve started noticing (either by falling through the world or doing a target scan) is that there are bots down there with the mobs.
Dev’s, could you please look into this?
I’d rather have cold scientific fact other that a poorly drawn picture as proof in this matter.
There are different types of lag (or latency if you want to use the term). Most of everyone bringing up ‘no lag’ are also referring to their internet connection. Op is not referring to that. He is talking about the latency of the UI, which has nothing to do with someones internet connection, but the program itself.
Op, I know exactly what you mean. The UI is not very fine tuned, and it does have issues with response. I’ve even noticed how the UI will register multiple key strokes that were never pressed when you overwhelm it at times.
Compared to the dozens of other MMORPG interfaces, the UI in this game definitely needs more fine tuning.
Added a system to limit the experience and gold that players can receive from speed-farming dungeons.

Wait, is this for coin drop, or loot drop worth? I may maybe 1-4 gold an hour in orr from DE chains. I don’t get much from actual coin drops, but mainly from material and equipment drops. That’s where I get all of my gold from. Is that what they are limiting?

If only you could use fractals at any armor vendor. Fractals aren’t bad, but they serve no purpose for my quest of armor and weapons skins that the other dungeons supply…And in all honesty, I’m fractaled out.
4-6 weeks has been my average time in getting responses.
