What ive read is that Brutaly is trying to help you improve your build, isnt that constructive? You cant post a guide on the forums and expect to get only positive feedback. Im sure it would help alot if we could see the build in action and do all the thinks you say it can pull off.

I am currently leveling an engi for wvw roaming and dpsing in pve.

After the last patch and the remake of Rocket Boots I wanted to make a build that used gadgets so I looked into the SD build.

I dislike full zerk gear aswell so I came up with this. I havent tested this out yet cuz my engi is still lvl 40ish =P Hope this will help you.

I was thinking about giving the new ZB trait a spin in wvw as soon as i get back home.

20/0/0/30/20 with full clerics might throw in 1 knight piece to get vigor on crit more reliable, boon duration runes. Stronger VoR and omnom pie or mango pie. Will BE interesting to see if ZB is worth the 20 points =P

Healway is still 1 of the greatest builds for guardians imo. Tons of fun to play Personally ive made a couple changes to the build to fit my playstyle more.

As some have stated the s/d thieves can be a bit of a pain but so far i havent come across anyone i couldnt beat, i wouldnt worry about boonhate either since i dont think there are alot of warrs running 25 points into 1 tree to get it.

Retaliation nerf hurt the build a bit, taking away some of the main dmg dealing way. For now its better to play on borderlands for now lol.

Not sure if you want a build for wvw or pve but, I threw this build together quickly. Heavily based on team support wich you desired.

Mix of cleric and soldier gear to have you sitting at 1.1k healing and even more when you remember to use the mace when you kill stuff. Wvw buffs will have you sitting above 16k hp most of the time wich imo is enough for a healing guardian. Resolute Healer could be switched for Superior Aria if youd want a shorter cd on HtL.

I would also take focus over shield for the additional regen and more blocks.

I’ve made a variation of Chris’s Healway build thats suits my playstyle the best. Its not flawless but its by far the most fun build ive tried on any class. Currently trying to get some more 1vsX footage and ill be uploading a vid within a week I hope.

Why are people so against dueling? Bad experience from some older games, I get it.
You are happy when you do your daily’s etc. but some players want more. Yes we could go into the Mist, find an empty server(or create a own server or w/e) and duel there. I wouldn’t mind it BUT my char looks hideous in the Mist since I havent been playing sPvP actively since BWE2. PvE look > sPvP look.

Anyways haven’t you ppl ever had some fun with your guildies in other games? Gather up with ppl and hang around, chat and throw in a couple duels. Or practice to get better in PvP, test build, practice against classes etc. I come from a game where we used to do that with my old guild, we practiced alot and it was fun! Get on TS with guildies and talk and duel and laugh and have fun!

Finding duels in WvW is a pain in the kitten and usually gets interrupted by either an enemy zerg, your zerg, smaller enemy teams, your team-mates etc.

Ofc I understand that there are players who will cry over duels they have lost or spamm You for duel requests. Thats why there needs to be an option to block duel requests and if a player spamms you, just block him? Thats what I do in Lion’s Arch to ALOT of players :p.

I really really hope we will get dueling into the game someday. =)

99% sure this was the original build. A few points were tweaked over time as it was widely popular and the creator was active in it’s development.

Respect his request for privacy though, and do not link his name or any posts by him.

Latest update on the build was Ascended Soldier rings. And he had 3 x superior water and 3 x superior monk runes on the armors. Also there was Superior sigil of Bloodlust rather than Life on the focus.

I gotta say I prefer GS on guard rather than on mesmer for the reasons stated above. Altough if you get regrets you can always transmute it to another character.

I just played before going to work and pulled a thief out of refuge with Binding Blade.

Hello there. I recently got my guardian to 80 and decided to start making a build for him.

I decided that I want to keep him with around 3k armor +40% crit chance and +17k hp while still being able to dish out some damage while supporting the party with boons and condition removal.

For fractals I take 10 points from Radiance and put it into Virtues for either Master of Consecrations or Spirit Weapon trait.

Its pretty much a basic AH build, but with increased HP from the gear without sacrificing too much DPS output. I have succesfully used it in wvw roaming and in bigger group battles aswell(tho I switch scepter for staff in zergs). Note that there isnt a single 1vs1 or 1vs2 that I havent walked out alive or that the enemy hasnt fled(looking at you, the deso Thief with a Quip).

All together this build has worked great for me in both WvW and PvE/Dungeons/Fractals by only switching some major traits here and there.

Just got my guardian to 80 a couple days ago and here’s the build/gear i’m currently running. Good all around build, done lvl 30 fotm on it with a pug group as only guardian and didnt have any issue rly except for the agony at maw (currently only 20 ar). No backpiece atm, just need a few more relics to get ascended one.

For wvw I take 10 from Virtues into Radiance for Signet Mastery and switch Pure of Voice to Two-Handed Mastery depending on situation.

Switching shield to mace from time to time , mace is berserker with accuracy sigil aswell.

Pretty much same build with different major traits ,weapons and consumables ^^.

No, it was a male running staff + scepter/ x. Can’t recall what the offhand was but that build seemed really nice, looked around on youtube and found a couple vids with a confusion mesmer hehe.

Well Shake it Off you already explained, but im using FGJ for the fury and the might obviously. More dmg/more crit and since my hammer build is made to pack quite the punch. I occasinaly switch it for Bulls Charge tho. And its just me, I’ve had FGJ on my utility bar almost ever since I got it and I rarely take something else over it.

My axe build uses Omnomberry Pies already and I wanted to try something new. And the impressive 99% crit dmg with food is so nice ^^.

Most likely gonna run some guild raids in the upcoming days and I will post the vid when I get some footage. And yes I had in mind the 10 points in Arms aswell for guaranteed crits but I prefer having Last Stand from Defense since stability means alot in wvw ^^

I was trying hammer out a little a while back with more of a CC role insteand of DPS, now that this build combines both I can just imagine using Earthshaker to get into a enemy group followed by staggering blow, then switching to GS when I get focused and WWA→ Rush out of it ^^

Yeah when traited and got the sigil of impact on the hammer, even the auto attack does amazing dmg when its critting

I gotta agree that Earthshaker is also my fav move after WWA tho^^. Planning to run around trying to make some more solo vids using this particular hammer build and probably some bigger guild runs etc. I actually have a lvl 80 mesmer and lvl 80 elem but the pvp on them didnt provide any challenge rly and I found myself getting back on my warrior :P

Just keep an eye where the real one goes, hard with the culling issues ik. CC/block helps alot aswell and if ur damage is high enough you should be able to take em down before they get you.

Fought an amazing confusion stacking mesmer from Piken the other day, too bad i didnt have Fraps on then, I had no chance against it cos I didnt know that their fields give confusion when you enter/exit it :p Also if you got the minor trait Reckless Dodge in Strenght tree, dont do any unneccessary dodges with all those Confusion stacks. killed myself once or twice cos of that.

So here it is, most likely my final WvW build for my warrior. Kudos to CoaxialMazer.9140 for giving me some inspiration for a hammer build. Combining high dmg with “high” toughness,mobility and CC.

Offensive Build:

So I decided to finally start making videos after I came up with a build I enjoy playing alot.

This build focuses on keeping your adrenaline up to give you the passive healing from it. Along with Omnomberry Pies and Sigil of Blood you will have some nice healing on you as you go. In addition to that, 3stack of adrenaline gives you 12% more damage and Healing Surge will heal you for 8.6k. Leg Specialist trait and offhand mace providing you the CC you need to chase down players or interrupt them.

Overall this build has nice survivability and overall damage imo.

Defensive Build:

Ok so this is my 2nd video with axe/mace. The build has gone through some changes to be a bit tankier but still able to deal some nice damage. Again focuses on keeping adrenaline up for passive healing + 12% dmg increase.

Switching Endure Pain with Signet of Stamina from time to time as you can see on the video. Also Defy Pain trait for Spiked Armor and Turtle’s Defence for Cull the Weak when damage is needed mroe than defence.

Build is working well for me in dungeons aswell, I have no problem staying alive in fractal lvl 20, Arah etc. with PUGs.

Totally agree with OP ^^ Warrior is an amazing class even for PvP. Screw kiting with a ranged weapon, charge in an melee the enemy to death! Tried all of the other classes and even played some alts to lvl 80 but still always gone back to being a warrior. Something else that needs some fixing tho is Rush wich still ugs out form time to time, leaving you running in 1 spot or missing the enemy.

Going for a little more defensive line with my 2nd health stealting axe/mace build. Used in both PvE and WvW:

Berserker weapons/accessories and Knight armors.

I built this around using the passive buffs from 3 stacks of Adrenaline, Adrenal Health and Berserker’s Power. Nice damage output but not too glassy with the Defense traitline. Swapping Defy Pain for Spiked Armor from time to time to add another 300ish dmg towards the enemy. Enjoying this quite a bit more than my first axe build.
(I suck at typing any guides or trying to explain more about my build). So ill just link a video about soloing a supply camp.

I was trying to merge my build and shout heals earlier today and yesterday. It came out pretty nice, but with the traitline I was missing Mobile Strikes wich I’ve had since BWE2 so I just couldnt picture myself playing it. It worked nicely in 1vs1 and 2vs1 and I got some clips from it aswell .Eventually traited back to what im showing in that vid and changed a couple zerker accessories to knights.

Glad people are liking the vid. Working on my 2nd one atm and trying to get some more 1vsGroup footage into it.
