[SIC] Strident Iconoclast is currently recruiting a secondary driver for NA Prime (6-11pm cst)

We currently reside on Isle of Janthir, we were formerly of Fort Aspenwood.

So first, who are we?

and finally our GvG side:

[SIC] is composed almost exclusively of roamers and PvP players. We have been together for 3 months, this has allowed us to function at a very high level during combat as we know each other very well.

We typically roam NA prime with a group ranging from 9-15 players.

Our main focus is simple:

Destruction

The way in which we do this is by seeking out large groups and engage them in an extremely aggressive disciplined manner.

Our focus before the orb buffs was strictly GvG 15v15 style. This style of play translates extremely well to open world play.

This guild has 0 interest in PPT.

Now that you know a bit about us, what exactly are we looking for in you?

*A player with very high level of individual skill. Logging many hours in sPvP is a bonus
*The driver must have a very strong knowledge of ALL classes, not just the one he/she is playing.
*The driver should have many hours with another notable guild.
*The driver must have hundreds of hours on either Warrior or Guardian
*The driver must HATE losing
*The driver must be completely confident running in very low numbers
*The driver has to have a complete understanding of game mechanics (fields/group buffing)

There is an application process.

Well you offer [sPvP] duels, to a bunch of WvW players, what do you expect lol?

Why won’t you duel, 2v2, 3v3 etc… in WvW? Are you not a WvW’er? TBH I wouldn’t have a kitten clue where to begin making a sPvP build on my chars I don’t like the mode and I never go there.

To add another point of honesty, I don’t give two shts how good or bad you play GW2.. But I’d be happy to duel you or anyone else with any of my toons (in wvw), don’t worry I play all 6 regularly(ok not the ele!) and use multiple builds on all of them all the time so I am lacking any sort of ascended setup so I’m sure most have that advantage on me.. I also don’t have any legendaries either since I hate pve..

I’m sure anyone else in XOXO would be happy to do so as well.. We’ll gladly 5v5, and perhaps could scrape up a 10v10 if some spca/splt or tm wanted to join in.. But the reason we don’t do higher is mostly because we just don’t have that many online at once..

Orb buffs. we also already have an organized night every week foe duels. That’s really why I offer it. We already have members of FA and JQ showing up. Figured its a fair even ground to have some fun.

clearly its much easier for 10 people to find 5 other people to join their group then it is for 15 people to ask 5 to sit out……

and as oozo said earlier the less people in a fight the more individual skill matters so clearly you are not confident in your guild member’s ability to do anything other then hammerstun on a target.

LoL, yet you completely ignore the fact that I invited you guys to duel and do some 2v2,3v3, 4v4 and up in spvp. Strange. Doesn’t sound like you are exactly too confident at all in any of your abilities as all you have done from the very start was make random excuses as why you won’t show up.

Fun fights at NW tower/garri on NSP BL tonight guys

Yeah was a long fight with SBI with open walls and constantly being AC’d. You guys kept poking your heads in there on the cliff. The fight at NE tower was fun as well when we caught you guys at the lord. Good practice breaking in my Mesmer.

Our guild was offered 12k,10k and 5k gold to go to various servers during our process to find a new home. (We took no gold from anyone) I sold a legendary weapon and payed for my guilds transfer instead

Just this week we had another guild offer to pay our complete transfers to another server in this same match-up.

PPT kitten.s are crazy

We almost transfered to SBI instead of IOJ because i have friends there so I wish you guys luck in the gold league when you get there.

ps. It was revealed that SoR has a similar pop to FA.

SOR wvw pop and FA wvw pop are not even close. NA prime they probably are. FA has a 3-4 hour queue on all BL’s on reset. Usually 30 minute queue the rest of the week on 2BLs and EB. SOR queues maps at 5am. One of my friends is a commander of 1 of their major guilds. He was kitten ed we left this week as we finally would have got to meet each other in the open. He was in the process of turning FA BL completely SOR.

Edit: As i write this FA ts3 crashes because they have nearly 200 people in PVE channel

Thanks for the welcome. We picked a server that looked fun to wvw on for a while. So far, I gotta say it has not disappointed. Nothing against NSP. It was in our running.

I love reading the SBI/IoJ matchups. Far more entertaining than any other thread out there. CD is full of polite people who don’t forum war.

we’re not trying to “forum warrior”, think we’re just kind of sick of each other at this point.

You want forum wars of A+ quality. Go find the guuma thread. Mag is the #1 ranked troll/forum warrior server. No one can keep up with them on the forums, always makes monday mornings at work enjoyable when we fight Mag.

For the record

SBI you have a pop very similar to FA in WvW right now. I’d say you are easily of the same numbers as T3/T2 servers. In fact last night at 3am you managed to queue a BL with your Karma train (my friend was in that train..and trolling me many a time as he spiked me after said 50 man train ran over our 6 man group :P).

This is not an insult, or an excuse or anything of that nature. I am just stating how I see you guys being able to match up numbers wise against some of the gold league soon

You will however find that in Gold every group of 50 you come across is a solid 1 guild tag. It gets a bit tougher up there to roam/ small man. Not impossible. Just a lot tougher.

Uh SIC guild got wiped plenty of times on our BL’s and won some fights as well. Twice at north camp I was with KT as we wiped em with equal numbers and they got hit pretty hard by our zerg. I like them, they are a good group and fun to face. They don’t run from fights, whether outnumbered or otherwise. SE just seems to complain a lot about numbers, so it seems they are suited for silver which wont be a challenge.

10 minutes of insanity with your spawn portal 10 steps from the fight. It was probably the most fun we had on reset. More and more people just kept running in, I had to leave 2 steel chests on the ground as we moved out of that camp when the group got far to large to manage and our guys got slowly downed 1 by 1.

It’s far easier for 15 people to trim down to 10 than for 10 people to go find 5 extra to join them. Besides, this game starts falling apart the more people you add to the fight. Individual skill matters much less when you are running over 10.

1v1s are too much about build wars. The sweet spot is 3v3 to 6v6 or so, IMO.

We run balanced comp, sometimes we run full melee. Some times we run full caster. Sometimes we run around and just throw siege prints at enemy groups. Whatever looks like it would be fun.
