The exact reason because this tier exists: to helps who doesn’t own a precursor to focus on something “legendary” to work on. Obiouvsly if you was working on your legendary yet, keep going on that task until done.

The ring is a rare drop going deep. Infused part is a crafted infused addon, uberexpensive.
Something you can have after long, long work, weeks.

Maybe they could just change at all the name of Legendary on weapon, achievement and window property at all. After all, as the OP said, there is nothing legendary about those weapons. Except the look ( of 1h sword and greatswords), so what.

The famous Anet economist was talking about ectos on the next incoming update as a big deal.

Ecto’s use to be 18-20s for a very long time, over the past 3 weeks they have slid down and over the last week its been at an all time low of 12s ish. The reason for decline was probably related to the falling prices of rare items – they were as cheap as 10-12s. They kept falling because t5 mats were falling.

T5 mats have increased since John Smith (AN economic expert) said he would be doing something in the Nov 15th patch to make them more desirable. As such many people started buying these mats (which were as low as 15c each).

Because t5 mats have risen, rares rise with them. If rares rise, ectos rise.

You can just transmute your legendary with the stats you want. The legendary weapon will lose the purple text turning exotic, but keep his name and skin.

Just form your group. Make clear before the dungeon begin how you want to play. If you do it with a partner with same mindset will be easier. Who answer “no skip? forget it” , kick out. Who said ok and start to run alone the dungeon, kick. Who goes offline until the boss while you kill adds, kick. Easy isn’t it.

I would just suggest to the OP to try by yourself a class you’re HAVING FUN WITH , not a “class needed”. This is now WoW, where there is racism between classes. I pick ( and joined) players with pure randomness, i NEVER found a group less performer than others. That’s a player issue or horrible gear (blue, 78 pieces etc) and player inability to understand the revive concept, teamwork, dodge. Just enjoy the game, we don’t have any trinity or “rule” to follow.

Well, you can gamble a lot of mystic forge only weapons, using those exact crafted trash.

I checked, nothing is capped with external controls. Every other game would have 60 fps cap. My card is an asus, i don’t use MSI software

OP doesn’t see to understand that his CPU can’t max the game.

Others reported my GPU and an i7 with same exact performance.

I’m sure this is a highly debated subject internally at Anet. The ramifications of changing the way precursors can be obtained could have a significant impact on the GW2 economy.
Creating a guaranteed way of getting the precursor with ONE exception that I can think of (at the moment) would severely effect prices of 70-80 exotics/rares/T5 mats/T6 mats/globs – all of them would likely plummet into oblivion with the exception of named exotics getting a slight bump in value depending on demand.

There are billion mmo out there with highend weapons noone buy, and no gambling with mystic forges. Economy didn’t die at all

That’s called a legendary player worth to wear a legendary weapon: a player who truly, deeply played the fullest of this game. For example, allowed to wield one just when world completition and dungeon master are achieved. And a fixed formula, incredibly hard to complete requiring dungeon particular tasks, which could be again achievements. Then, a few mats for precursors, more mats as we know yet for the rest, and here we have a great player with a legendary weapon, a real great player. Not a casino gambler who play gw2 instead of some slot machines or blackjack

You can wait for GW2 to get better optimized and rely less on single thread performance. This will be difficult to change and might require a lot of code to be rewritten. Don’t bank too much on this happening soon.
Overclock your CPU. Doing so will increase per core single thread performance
Buy better hardware. Sad, but unavoidable if you want better performance.

This is gambling, and it’s illegal on some countries, and illegal worldwide about minors.

Now. Some of those gambling rooms offer virtual coins. Basically, creating an account, your account is able to use virtual fake dollars to be used ingame for gamble. What you win, are other virtual dollars. You don’t withdraw real money. This kind of game is allowed worldwide. It’s a gambling videogame after all. Now guess what.
Even fake money gambling room have all in common one main rule: no minors.

So, this game is actually using an illegal system, who can even be persecuted by a class action, because allow minors to understand and learn what is a gamble. Not enough , the game allow the player to use real money ( who can easily reach the bank credit card limit and go over till lead the player to suicide) just to buy ingame golds to be used to gamble and gamble attempting a precursor. I would strongly suggest to Arenanet ( before some legal problems will sooner or later begins) to remove completely from this game the aleatory system , and allow the mystic forge to be just a big forge to create special components with a predetermined formula.

I truly find comical how you argue and chit chat with a serious mood, about market variance and different price fluctuation, when it’s just a 11yo kid who , with this eyes O___O for his drop, just wrote 430g haha and just an other kid wrote an other random big number which was 310g. Price made by people who cannot even imagine themself having that kind of cash neither after 2 years playing and if one day someone will even be able to pay their offer. But still, some people seems serious when they talk about market variables, vendors who deeply analyze the market variables before put that price, influx of money, etc, just for a stupid exotic with a text at the end allowing to be used for legendary, 10% of the path, haha

Sadly, all your maths and theory falls when you truly attempt to play with it. 80 20 is a pure senseless theory, absolutely not realistic. IF you truly are a gambler, you would know play casinos leads yourself to nothing, and that magic 23 is not coming back, as much you can attempt to type how many times that kitten number is back, so you can put money when is coming

Just try to do a path not skipping 90% of the dungeon. Then do an other path, than last path. Then change dungeon. Wanna bet you will get 60 tokens per run?

Accordingly to Anet devs ( who noone ever proved as realistic) i would suggest you to craft 4 named exotics, make at least 32 of them, and throw them. Of, if you wasted 500g or more of mats to make them and you kept receiving unnamed exotic trash until broke, hey, happens
