Lucas , i never played wow . I only played gw so dont tell me this bull kitten . if u would read my post u would read i wasnt deleting the explore mode , if u feel like the explore mode is challing for u , u just can farm it . where is your problem ? but many teams doesnt feel that the dungeons are difficult at all so they master it really fast and are getting punished for that . its like u would punish people in gw1 if they farmed uw or goa.

We both know speedfarming exploits are not time based. And they are not fixed.

What you suggest is elitism and more hard content. There is hard content yet if you want a challenge.
But yes, in future a legendary mode with uber hard content could be added.
One day, when this game will run stable and fixed.

This function, kicking out the entire party, should be applied always, everytime someone is kicked, kicking out the entire party, not just when the group leader who entered first is kicked. Obiouvsly just when who is kicked is offline or afk after a certain amount of time, changing his status to away, so just leeching tokens. Most are abusing of the new DR.
I’m wondering if devs are reading this kind of useful suggetions

I guess when they will be tired to enjoy us whining and noone found a working stable exploit to get 60 tokens on every run ( as much seems spreading, looking how many people is posting “other people of my group took 60 every run”) or opposite, when someone will finally decide to make public the exploit of those curious players getting 60 tokens per run, even repeating it without a break. Wondering if those players abusing of the system will be banned.

It’s not an exploite to get 60 tokens for the 1st run of a path each day, (from the release notes):-

“2) Dungeons reward 20 tokens for completion and now reward an additional 40 tokens for the first time they are completed each day. This means that if players can complete all 3 chains of a dungeon in a day, they’ll receive a total of 180 tokens, which is enough to purchase some of the smaller rewards.”

I know perfectly the content of the patch note. It doesn’t talk of 60 tokens per run of the same dungeon and path, consecutively. 60 60 60 60 60 60 path 1 is not exactly what the dev meant This is an exploit, or just an other anomaly of this bugged reward system, for lucky players who are cashing out a full armor+weapons+gift in a couple days.
Did you read what is harrassing this forum, or you just logged now?
Look how many people reported multiple runs with his team getting 60 tokens per run and him 45 20 8 2 0 tokens randomly, even doing the same path, resetting.

Well yes, obiouvsly we can add the timing, now set at 30 minutes. They truly think the exploit is a matter of timing, not how the fight is established, running between adds, pulling a boss till the WayPoint etc etc

They need DR so that if people find a game breaking dungeon exploit that allows them to significantly bypass Dungeon content, it doesn’t result in tanking the entire game economy or devaluing the dungeon armors. This isn’t meant to be a way to slow down players or punish being efficient, but a way to safe guard the broader game against techniques that use game bugs to trivialize content.

Dungeons generate more gold than most other activities in the game, and they want to be able to keep it that way, but that means they need defense against exploits before they happen, not just responses after they happen. This is an attempt to do that, it’s just bugged and needs additional tuning. Give them a little more time.

Shhh. Don’t point it out again. If these idiots can’t read and understand Anet’s responses than they deserve to be in the dark.

Obviously you’ve got plenty of better things to do in GW2 than run certain dungeons. We are aware of ‘why’ Anet is doing this, but it’s the wrong solution and it only comes with problems. Don’t go calling those of us who are disgruntled by the system “idiots” just because this is no problem for you. Those of us who AREN’T exploiting, and want to spend our time on GW2 running a certain dungeon for an armour set CAN’T do so, because this system encourages one little fling with the dungeon per day. we are then expected to move on, but with my goal being the set in the reward i’d rather stay there and keep working at it. Players like me suffer. I do honest legit runs that take up to 1 hour, never ‘too fast’ to technically fall under this system. I still get only 5 tokens most of the time. if we could atleast get something in the field of 20-30 for each consecutive run, we’d still be busting our chops but it would be worthwhile, and our means to play would be satisfied.

The “idiots” he’s talking about are who (as much i posted it plently times on various thread, inviting to read ) still don’t want to read dev’s posts, where staff admitted DR system as broken giving unfair rewards, inviting the community to just wait a fix, having fun waiting if someone post the exploit to get 60 tokens per run, regardless of the DR.
Still no, i can keep posting it 100 times more, still you will see this thread (and his 2 replicas) growing of posts with random token rewards, and people whining. Not understanding they are wasting their time and anger on something just cannot be accomplished , because we lack of a fix

And if you’re getting less tokens, at best you will receive even less until 0.
I don’t want to imagine your anger when after 2 hours wasting time on a dungeon you look the screen with 0 tokens.
Only devs know if and when a fix will be released . I strongly suggest everyone to stay far from dungeons until fixed, and invite your friends to do the same. If you’re not getting 60 tokens, insist and whine here will not help. Stop to post here your roulette, stop to attempt, there is nothing to figure out, at best someone will whisp you the exploit who can put your account at risk of a ban

p.s. yes, i can confirm an incompetent customer management, i sent a report asking a removal of an unfair bug. I receive a bot invite to post on this forum the issue.

I’m experiencing the same curious environment about guild population. I was on 2 guilds, joined 2 more thinking they was crap. Well all of them have 7 players online at best, all day. I asked to who was online, the number didn’t grow.
I guess there is a mass leaving, considering the Anet attitude relasing a malfunctioning DR, the large amount of bugs all around, TP and mail broken every few days etc etc
Add the release of MoP and it’s pretty clear what is going on. Mass leaving.
Shrugs, i suggest you to wait a couple weeks more, and if your guild is still struck on 20 members, change guild, or ask to be an officer and try to recruit someone ( who is left lol)

I truly understand, don’t worry. But seriously, is it the only thing to do?
There is map completition, jumpin puzzles, crafting, farm money+ mats in Orr, WvW, sPvP, dragon spawns, etc.

I mean, think about it. One day, sooner or later, you will get all is available from a dungeon you like. The armor, weapons, the gift. What you’re planning to do, then?
Quit?
There are a lot of things to do to entertain yourself waiting a fix. Waste time for an unbalanced DR getting 6/2/0 tokens is a bit… pointless

You think posting here on this forum will help your cause? You think a whine will wake up some devs? They perfectly know from day1 when patch was online the system is bugged.
They are even enjoying it, waiting if someone find an exploit to make it work as it’s supposed to be, which obiouvsly will lead to a 60 token per run, an exploit.
Then you will be banned obiouvsly.
So as you see, you risk (because deperate and so fond about dungeons) to fall in the temptation to use an exploit who finally allow you to get (irregularly) 60 tokens per run. Risk a ban for what, a few dungeon tokens?

from what iv see it is a player baced bug/ porblem, it is not even account baced. Doing 1 of each parth’s for example in TA i get 45 /30 /45 in that order then i go on my necro and get 60 /60/60 how is this possable as i do them all in same day.

Yes Zana, it’s an anomaly. Tokens are now account bound, so the DR should work per account, not per character. Or you would just make 5 characters lv80, and farm in a day an entire armor dungeon, switching between them and sending all tokens to your main.
I guess it will be part of the next patch, or maybe in future.

The problem you’re having to find people grouping can be your server population.
Maybe is on low, so not so many players are 80 and farming dungeons.
I’m on High, and i read people grouping even on LA.
Yes obiouvsly the most is next to the dungeon, it’s coherent.
So if you want to do a dungeon, just map next to it, you will find easily a group, or lead one, people will whisp you to be invited. If not, change server.

An external chat linked to the internal group system could be a far future, not impossible. We are still on the stage where we cannot use the so claimed guesting, and NA not connected to european players too. So, how can you even ask today something like this? Open this thread again next year

Fix is simple: after 1 boss, if the team kick out a member, the dungeon reset kicking out the entire party.

So if one player gets disconnected or goes AFK, the others can’t kick him or they lose all the progress? Thanks for showing us that some people have even worse ideas than Arena Net…

If you killed boss X you should get the reward for killing it, period.

By all means add an extra reward at the end, scaling with the number of bosses you killed, but withholding the rewards until the final boss would be completely stupid even in a game without all the dungeon-breaking bugs that GW2 currently has.

Doing it with GW2 in its current state and MoP coming out tomorrow is simply suicidal.

If you read what i wrote carefully, you will see “if the team kick out”.
Kick out command (and confirmation) of a player not offline can easily trigger a dungeon reset kicking out the entire party.
About afk, can be easily improved an afk timer, after 4-5 minutes not using any command, so if the player is on afk, the team has the right to kick him out and stay.

I guess it’s just a dream hehe. Did you see what happens when the group leader leave the group half way of a dungeon? All kicked out haha

Yep, the reward system you wrote (and is meant to be) rewards 180 tokens per day if 3 paths, 240 for dungeons like arah (physically impossible to make 4 path in a day except if you play arah 16 hours no stop constantly, eating on your keyboard, korean farmer style). It’s per wing, 60 tokens.

The rest of your post is exactly how this reward system is programmed and we will play, when fixed.

Today is a lottery with random rewards, when fixed will be what you wrote (except the achievement and the skin).

I hope you know repeating a dungeon will lead (when DR works as supposed to be) to 6 tokens and even less, repeating. Now it’s broken, there is people gettin a costant 15 tokens, some others 60 per run, some 6 tokens. I’m wondering if you will be happy when you spent 1 hour/more (arah can take 3 hours even) for 6 (or 2 too) tokens

People complain the bug not reading dev posts like the one i linked. Instead of give up dungeons at all waiting a fix, prefer to waste time posting here their random reward, angry too lol. Hrouda clearly said they perfectly know it’s bugged, they are not going to explain how to make it work, waiting someone who will find an exploit to abuse the system and get irregular rewards (60 per run, which is something some players are getting), and then be banned obiouvsly. You still knee for those devs, i find this attitude a bit..erm… sick

You know what I like?

I like how the “elitists” are accused of bullying and being selfish to keep their “top gear” to themselves.
Yet I come to a thread like this and see the very opposite, I see someone who others are calling an “elitist” (who probably just knows how to play THIS game) even going so far as to offer to group with those having trouble for a run through dungeons so that he might show them, and is jsut JUMPED on and obliterated by the gang of “make it easier bawl” “This is broken!” and “Anet must bring the par down to suit me and those like me or this game will FAIL!”

Which is really the bully here? You all need to step back, take a breath and maybe try to learn the game instead of trying to kill it beneath your avalanche of constant crying.

Oh and Disconnected, you are not the only female here, and you are making the rest of us look bad by not even trying to “Learn to play”.

The answer is simple: this trick of “I whine and whine, they will nerf” works perfectly on WoW. So obiouvsly they think here is the same. “Everything, now, in a couple hours, quit and change game, no elitism around me, i MUST be a ubercoolpro like others, even if i play 2 hours on weekend, QQ” This is the 2012 player’s attitude, and people on this forum whining and whining don’t want to accept different rules, and wear an armor/weapon just when you deserve it, and sometimes maybe just for a strict elite

A bug means its not intentional and people that run a dungeon knowing that this bug exists have no right to complain about the results of the run. Posting it so the devs can track it down quicker is fine but the rage needs to stop.

Not intentional? They knows perfectly it’s bugged, and enjoying reading people complains too, waiting if someone find an exploit (and maybe ban him too why not)

At least you understood it’s time to quit wasting time doing dungeons, i wish others was so smart like you, instead we keep reading people reporting and reporting their lottery of tokens, angry too haha when just read, could save them time and anger

I’ve come to terms with the tokens i lost and look the other way because I just know I wont see them and I have friends who I play with who have no fault over this and I do have a good time when we get together but Anet SHOULD learn from this and stop throwing fixes left and right w/o proper testing. There is a reason other video games take their time with patches and then they go through PTR before hitting live servers.

It’s the opposite. They clearly knows the system is bugged, inviting players to stop to play dungeons waiting a fix. But considering players are always here for whine, not for read, devs are reading happily the random tokens people get, waiting if someone find an exploit to get max reward endless. (you risk a ban using an exploit)
Pure madness Still, people don’t stop to play dungeons lol.

Wait for the bug fix, then see if the DR really does affect you, then complain that you are having trouble grinding gold.

Just a question though, why do you people want to grind these dungeons so much?

I was wondering the same. I even linked the dev post where he clearly invited the community to wait the fix and admitting the reward system is heavily malfunctioning.
Still people is having problem to just read, and prefer to be a bait wasting time with an irregular reward. Hopeless

I would strongly suggest to everyone reading this thread to stop to play dungeons at all, and pass this information to everyone else. After all, the dev himself suggested to wait a fix.
You are all wasting your time playing a broken reward system, risking accindentally ( or on purpose) to find an anomaly gaining an irregular reward noone knows what can lead, even a ban.

Follow what the dev suggested: quit playing dungeons until it’s fixed, and stop posting how many tokens you got. It’s clearly a lottery, you will get an irregular inappropriate amount of tokens. Don’t waste your time anymore, wait the fix.
