Hrm, wouldnt that mean you would need more chill skills for utilities? Reapers shroud doesnt offer much in chill, except shroud 5.
But please tell me what makes unyielding blast that good, if you already cover vulnerability stacking with Rending shroud? If your main attack already cleaves, doesnt it make pierce irelevant?
And the oppinion on Reapers onslaught vs Blighters boon? As well unyielding blast.
I am looking at the various options, and it seems like a pve power reaper could stay in shroud for a long time and having it up fast after it expires.
Reapers Onslaught is looking mightilly tempting, but Blighters boon with might stacking seems like it would be key in replenishing shroud fast when outside it.
Relentless Pursuit also seems like a good pick, since it makes snares less of a hassle to deal with when you dont have utilities in shroud. Especially when paired with Speed of shadows. – Unyielding Blast I am wondering how useful it is for a Reaper, since shroud 1 is not a ranged skill and you automatically cleave. I know Lifeblast would pass through multiple enemies with it.
Vulnerability stacking can be handled with Rending shroud, and crit with Death Perception.
Not true. Stealth gliding actually helps bypassing them. I got gold fairly easilly, once i had the route down pat, quite confusing layout tho.
Ended up in a very well organized pug, that had a lot of people on all lines. They frequently asked non attendees to leave the map, which I think was the major reason for success. I think the entire map population was doing TD at the time.
I was on SCAR lane. We popped our Gerent first, then the other ones went down like houses of cards and I claimed the final mistward piece as well the strongbox behind the door.
2 hours later for the next meta, I was on Nuhoch lane, and it suceeded popping the Gerent, but SCAR lane failed.
Humm. After getting out of range of the tablet, it will teleport to your position after 5seconds or so, something that could be perhaps shaved down to 3-4 secs with talent choices. The tablet going inactive as it starts its teleport spell, but immediately going active again if you move into range before it finishes the cast.
Basically to emphasize the static nature of the tablet, but not to have to recast it constantly.
Ah, now i see, re-read it.
But thats for condi, im looking for ones suitable for power builds.
Got another rune question. I see that scholar is recommended in the guide by Obal, but I am mainly doing solo and meta events. So staying at nearly full health is not really an option. So what would a dps dragonhunter use as an alternative? Rune of strenght?
I am considering a guardian dragon hunter for my next character, as i like a ranged playstyle. But I am hearing that guardians is struggling with getting a decent speedboost. Is the only option Superior Rune of the traveler?
So you give up Decimate defenses as a daggermancer. Point at Signet of the locust, though I thought ppl prefered signet of spite instead. What is your other utility choices then?
You dont use reaper as a daggermancer?
And dark harvest is a free ascended greatsword, still using an exotic.
But I am curious, if you dont use dagger or blood as a reaper, then how do you get your speedboost?

Reaper is melee oriented. Base necro has a choice between ranged or melee.
Some good stuff there. But im pretty much set on using axe as mainhand on switch, due to needing a ranged option. With GS being the melee option. Just too many moments with melee hate till i can do without a ranged option at all.
Ive tried dagger as main weapon, but gs just feels more satisfying to use. Plus it is a pretty large draw of the Reaper. Im pretty close to having unlocked Dark Harvest, just missing the auric sharpening stone. But only having 2/5 exalted mastery yet, and Im working on finishing ley line gliding first.
Hrm, speculating for daggeroffhand then for a more reliable speedboost. Sure 5 is a condi attack, but 4 looks like a pretty good condi removal and still allowing me to retain a ranged option in axe.
Having an axe would also make unholy fervor a sound alternative to chill of death, no?
Edit:
I did not see a response to this one. If you rely on shouts, doesnt Augury of Death have value by making them cycle more often?
If you use sup runes of strenght, does a sigil of strenght on wep have use to help generating might? I currently use air and force.
Finally, what would you say is the use for 4 and 5 on greatsword? So far ive been threating 5 as an aoe pull, and 4 as an aoe attack. Am I right?

I know the greatsword is not always ideal. Though I find it hard to not have a ranged option on swap, such as an Axe, due to some of the melee hate mobs and encounters in hot.
If taking the warhorn, do you then usually take the trait that bolsters it? Im seeing you can get almost perma uptime on swiftness.

I see. Then it must be Soul Spiral that is the big draw of RS, with Executioners Scythe if below 25%. And the ocasional charge if the situation warrants it. As well stability on demand.
Then I can see why you dont want Blighters Boon, nor Reapers Onslaught.
Soul Eater is a definite trap talent, since if you only use Grave Digger sub 50%, then it refreshes automatically. Though does Augury of Death not have any usefullness if you depend on shouts?

Are you saying that the Reapers shroud damage is too low to be worth fighting in shroud for extended periods of time?
Then what really is the draw of Reaper if the shroud damage is poor, and dagger does better damage than GS?
A few things Ive been wondering about:
How important is chill for a power necro? Aka berserker. I see so many slotting Chilling Nova as well Deathly Chill, which seems a bit odd to me, given that a greatsword is not exactly a condi weapon. Plus you have nonexistent numbers of +condi damage, and the blabber ive heard of chill not stacking terribly well in groups. – Blighters Boon seems potentially more useful for gaining lifeforce faster when stacking might, and running 6x strenght runes as I am. Thinking to get a sigil of strenght as well.
And what options does necros have for moving faster? Signet of the Locust seems to be an easy choice, but eats an utility slot. Tried out dagger for a while cause of Quickening Thirst in blood, but pretty much locks you to blood magic and id rather run death or soul reaping as second choice beside spite. Then theres Speed of shadows for shroud only. Did I miss anything?
How useful is Chill of Death in the spite line? I heard it have an icd of 20s. Plus with enemy boons being pretty much nonexistent in pve, it packs quite low damage. Yet I keep seeing it chosen all the time in builds listed. Not a pvper myself. I can understand the use and need for it for ripping boons in pvp.
Buy lots of cheapie blue or green reclaimed items and salvage them in bulk.
Looking for a clarification on the Shiro/Mallyx rotation:
Shiro + Mallyx – Enchanted Daggers → Impossible Odds → Sword Auto → Demon Stance → Embrace the Darkness → Facet of Nature → Sword Auto → Unrelenting Assault after quickness is over → Sword Auto → Assassin Stance → Impossible Odds → Sword Auto → repeat Mallyx and Shiro off cooldown
Whats unclear to me, are you activating and consuming Facet of Nature after using Embrace the Darkness? Given the note of using UA after quickness is over.
And i am curious, is there any legend and trait selection that in particular benefits the Hammer? It seems fairly unsuported compared to sword, mace and axe for Shiro and Mallyx. I like staying at range, so I keep eyeing the hammer. But it feels so slow and underpowered compared to swords buffed by Impossible Odds..
Though if I understood it right, hammer dps lies in CoR spam? Especially if you can stay at range to ensure targets are hit with all impacts.
sitting on 100k unspent karma myself, and not seeing anything i want to blow it on.
Managed to get silver on most adventures ive found with a bit of effort. Gold is simply not worth the stress.
Shooting gallery is too hard.
Salvage pit is way too easy, got gold on my first and only try.
Start HoT, you get 10 hero points per hero challenge.
Decided to give herald another try. Im understanding why you want to run yourself out of energy so that Facet of Nature deactivates prior to going into Shiro, as it otherwise would block Impossible Odds.
But when do you activate Nature again in the rotation, or is it only for the beginning of the fight? I noticed I did not see it mentioned in the rotations.
So if I understood it right, its main use is outside combat to stack your boons, at least until you start running yourself out of juice prior to flipping stances?
Beside the strong Soothing Stone heal, Vengeful Hammers is pretty much the only reason for why I use Jalis even as a dps. Its just too useful as an aoe move, like when faced with a large pack of pocket raptors. But I sure wish theyd fix the broken aspects of it.
I do have Herald fully unlocked, but I find it rather clunky to use with heavy micromanagement. Hence me prefering to use the basic sets for ease of use.
But I do wonder, just how useful is facet of nature in groups if you dont have any other active facets? Or does it actually buff the boon durations of everyone around you, and not just your own boons? Unclear wording on it.
But if going for a power oriented build with shiro and mallyx. I asume the trait lines to be herald, invocation and devastation then?
I am missing traits for this rotation:
Shiro + Mallyx – Enchanted Daggers → Impossible Odds → Sword Auto → Demon Stance → Embrace the Darkness → Facet of Nature → Sword Auto → Unrelenting Assault after quickness is over → Sword Auto → Assassin Stance → Impossible Odds → Sword Auto → repeat Mallyx and Shiro off cooldown
It clearly have Herald slotted due to presence of facet of nature. I asume Devastation is second. But Corruption or Invocation for last one? That im unclear on. Also it does not consume Facet of Nature at all? Facet seems like a good buff to consume on cooldown if you dont use dragon stance?
