It’s from the vendor when you first enter EB. Obviously that means you need to get one character into EB before you can obtain it.

I’ve played Taimi’s crazy game (funny). Yesterday I bought the Lava Lounge Pass in the shop and could port my other toons to Ember Bay without Taimi or the portal scroll. Maybe another way (150/1000 gems).

Ember Bay doesn’t count for wold map completion, nor does Dry Top, Silverwastes, or the 4 HoT maps. Only core Tyria does. So unless they add something new to the core maps (like they added some renowned hearts to the starter zones a while back), you won’t lose world map completion.

I hate that too. You can’t reconnect to the last control point in a long story instance.

Can you join the group of your girlfriend like we all do to get back to our open world district after a disconnect?

You can log to another toon (mule), put an orb in a shared slot, log back to your dead toon and revive yourself.

Upon deploying, leaning back, and stowing the glider, a faint scream of a phoenix can be heard.

Now if you would need to SPEND your AP to get any of the achievement rewards, or add a way to lose AP over time (at least the daily AP) that would be a different story.

I think the AP cap has no logic at all.

Gold isn’t time gated though, you can grind it as much as you want. If dailies were repeatable as much as you want, whenever you want, then it would be the same.

My biggest gripe is probably the disconnects. Especially because some instances seem to be more prone to them than others for whatever reason. I think I had to do the PS instance where you and Trahearne go into a cave to rescue a team and in the end fight a Lich and Abominations about 20 times, even though I’ve only done it on 10 characters. Mostly because I’d get a disconnect right at the end of this 20-30 minute dialogue fest.

The reason is probably, as usual, that they don’t know how to easily do it given the code and that they have more important things to do, but really. This existed in GW1 and it’s just the best feeling, knowing that, if you disconnect during the super long instance, you have up to 15 (?) minutes to attempt to reconnect with your progress being saved.

I mean, you may return to a wiped party and failed instance, but that’s better than a definitive kick.

I remember that especially from GW1 Missions. In front of the last boss > Crash > Restart GW > In front of the last boss. Yeah

Is it the end of the world if every four years ago, your character’s birthday accelerates by a day? Ok, of course it does for the OCD among us, but most players probably don’t remember their characters’ ages.

Of course, if ANet doesn’t adjust things, in 56 years, character birthdays for headstart characters will occur before ANet starts the anniversary sales, so maybe they should nip this issue in the bud sometime before then.
