For those that don’t know what i mean, it’s when things like weapons/armor disapear into a character/object/ground.
Now, this does happen on other races – but my god at how bad it is on the Asura. If part of the weapon isn’t in the ground, it’s in my ears, my head, my leg armor or all of them. I don’t think i’ve seen such bad clipping in an MMO (or any recent game for that matter)
A good example of this issue, is an Asura Elemental with a staff. For my current gear a portion of my staff is in the ground then it goes through my robe and then the top of it is in my left ear. It’s like this with almost every single staff and, it’s even worse on the warrior/ranger with greatswords/longbows .
So i ask Arenanet, is there any plans to make it so the Asura don’t clip as much as they do now (or at least change the size of some/all the 2hd weapons as some are clearly far to big). Now i’m not looking for perfection, just something that isn’t as bad as it is now.
Email authentication – We will soon provide a secure method on our web site for customers who are having trouble with email authentication to disable it for their accounts. We ask that you use this new self-help system, and only submit a support ticket if that doesn’t work for you.
I’d like to request an adition feature on this, the ability to re-enable it via “My Account” once your logged in, this way people can choose to enable/disable it at will. This will allow people with the issue now to retry it at another time without having to request support to do it.
So say for example, i recently had it disabled by support (thanks for that) because i was having the issue, it would be nice if i could at a later time enable it again myself in “My Account” to see if it now works for me. Then in not i can use the new self help your putting in to turn it off again.

Maybe u guys could set it up like this: u have to log in but won’t need an email to do this (it kind of ignores the authentication) but to secure this from hackers. u’ll have fill in your 25 digit code instead of your password. so if hackers know your password they can’t turn off the authentication. but we can using our code (wich is registrated at our profile.
That’s what i’m expecting it to need (your serial code) and maybe a character name or something.

Can i make a request then Anet (if you read this), if your going to provide a way to disable the authenticaion on our accounts if we aren’t getting the emails, can you provide a way to enable it aswell in “My Account” perhaps under security. That way we can try again at a later time with it (just incase) without having to file a request with support.
That nearly everything armor/weapon wise has terrible clipping on the Asura . I love the race and they are super cute, BUT my god at how badly this race is in regards to clipping armor/weapons.
I took my elemental all the way to 21 and hoped that later stuff got better, then i found the PVP preview closets and nearly every single weapon that sits on your back clips with the armor and actual character (and some of it is pretty terrible).
I’m now leveling a Sylvari instead, hardly any clipping at all.
I actully have to agree on this, for the cooldown time on the skills and for what they are supposed to do, the amount of health you get/give is pretty poor to borderline useless.
All the water healing skills need a quite a bit of a buff IMO.
We have looked at this carefully, and we just don’t see an issue with this. Sometimes it’s your junk mail filter, spam filter, even your ISP or your virus protection.
Please check the Knowledge Base article here with instructions on how to get help. If you have submitted a ticket it will be answered as soon as possible.
Keep in mind the team can disable your authentication, but then you’re unprotected, so you need to think that one through and determine how best to proceed.
I was kinda expecting a response such as this, so i can get emails for the 1st email authentication (i got loads of these as they didn’t all work), support, i have the GW2 email in my contacts and have no issues with any other emails i receive and it’s our fault (our filters/ISP) and not yours?.
Sorry i just don’t buy it, there is an issue with your system and you really need to look into it and find out what it is. I like the last bit the best though, our 2 choices are disable it and be unprotected or keep it on and have no access to our game/account? – that’s our choices???.
I’m glad i got it disabled so i can play again but this sort of passing the buck is just sickening. You need to bring in another form of authentication that anyone can use if this one is causing issues for some customers, we should NOT have to choose between being unprotected or not having access to the game/account.

If some of this comes off as rude/harsh i do appologize, but not having access to my game/account for almost 5 days due to this very issue (thankfully i’m not back in) and then reading this is just not on at all.
Loving the Asura race so far, but i have a few gripes about a couple of animation glitches they have. So far i’ve only recored 2 and i thought i’d post them here as this is the section for these sort of things.

When playing as the Asura race there is an animation glitch is you are an Engineer and are using pistols/pistol and sheild, everytime you stop running it seems to miss an animation transition so your arms/weapons go from 1 postion to another in what looks like a frame skip.
In the video you can see everytime the character stops the hands/pistol/sheild just skips a number of frames of animation and the hands/pistol/sheild goes from one position to another. It’s very annoying as you see it all the time as you are constantly running and stopping, on top of this the Engineer only has 2 main weapons -(pistol and a rifle) so if i want to avoid the bug i have only 1 other weapon to select.

When playing as the Asura race there is an animation glitch if you are playing as an Elemental using the Conjure Frost Bow skill. Everytime you fire the Ice Storm shot the arrows always fire the to right and never strait up like they are supposed to (the animation is very similar to the rangers Barrage shot).
In the video you can see that when i fire the Ice Strom the arrows go right despite the landing area being directly in front of me and the frost bow is pointing up. I’m unsure if this is a bug on other races as i’ve only tested on the Asura
