I was just wondering about reporting gold sellers. When I report the message, I am warned that judgement is based on chat logs. Therefor, does that mean I shouldn’t report the message, since I didn’t actually chat with the person, or are messages included in what they mean by “chat logs?”

Nonlinear, thank you so much for that detailed explanation. I shall reference it in the future.

Thank you all for your input. So far it seems like this is what people like (in this order):
1. Staff
2. S/D
3. D/D
4. S/F
And nobody ever talks about D/F (that’s a possible combo, right?). Me being an amateur game developer, I like to get into the heads of the people who make the games I play, and it seems there must be some kind of hidden strategy to using scepters, daggers and focuses, since most people seem to like staves (I’m basing this observation not only on this thread but others). So what is this strategy, if it even exists? I’m just wondering why ANet put these weapons other than staves in the game if staves just end up on top? One simple answer might be, “because it offers variety.” That’s a good point, but I still think variety should come with balance.

To me it seems like all the staves I find are more powerful than scepters. As soon as I get a scepter with more power than a staff, I get a staff with more power than that scepter. However, I like the scepter skills more than the staff, they are just more fun and effective to me. So should I go with a staff, or a scepter? And if I use a scepter, should I go with a dagger or focus? I normally play PvE.

I’m sure lots of you have seen the misfitting of the headbands for a certain Asura face. Or maybe it has to do with the way I sized the head or something. But it looks like the headband is going under the skin, and it’s weird. There are probably other problems like this. Anybody know if ANet will fix this?

You have more skills and traits at your disposal from leveling. I don’t know about you, but I can kill mobs faster and/or survive better with the help of those traits in comparison to actually being that zone’s level. Also, DLA puts your level above the mobs that you are fighting. I feel the progression comes more from the traits than the “numbers” (attributes, level number, etc.).
Yes I see your point and I actually forgot to mention this the first time. This does help with the DLA, but right now, I still think it’s a bit severe. However, I am only level 40, so I guess I don’t have much room to talk.

I haven’t spent enough time on the forums to see whether or not this is a popular opinion, but I think some changes need to be made to area level adjustment. I know the developers made this mechanic to keep the game challenging for all players in all areas, and I like that, but I think the decrease in level is too much. Right now the only reward for leveling up is gaining the ability to enter higher-level areas, using new items and continuing your story (or anything else you can think of).
Basically in my opinion, the level adjustment should be decreased, but not nearly as much as it is. I’ve never really felt the feeling of overpowering my opponents, which would be nice sometimes.
I’d also like to hear other people’s opinions on this. Post away if you will

I’m not a WoW player, so I’ve never done a raid, but they sound fun, and I would like to see them.
A bit of a side note, I think there should be small karma rewards to doing things that would normally help fill in a heart, even though it’s already filled. It’s just a bit bothering to me that I have the ability to help a NPC in a way such as bringing defense plans to some guy, but I don’t get anything because I’ve already filled in that heart.
Hehe, the side note was bigger than my first comment.

That’s neat, do you keep leveling up until you have enough skill points to complete everything or does it just keep going?

That makes me so happy

People actually pay money to jump to winning worlds? Dang.
I think I know a way around this. People’s accounts would be transferred at the beginning of a new WvW match.

First understand that this isn’t a complaint post, I’m just curious if anybody has any idea if new races or classes will be added in the future. Just to give me something to look forward to

Ah thanks. I guess the reason you would have no money is because you are playing with a new character, which makes it okay to resurrect with no cost.

I was wondering what happens when you are defeated, and you have no money to teleport to a waypoint. I read the wiki page on this and it said that it is waived. My dictionary defines waive as “lose the right” to something. This obviously doesn’t work in the wiki’s context since it wouldn’t allow the player to come back to life, so what does this mean?
