I hear you, but with insta-death, you’ll need different tactics and focus on more survival, be it more healing etc.
Imho, it’s a silly mechanic, which I’ve simply put up with all these years, but I think that its removal would make a more interesting combat.
Also, we could focus more on the battle, than on getting ppl up, left and right.

Hi,
I would like to suggest the removal of the downed state. I mean, it doesn’t make any sense when you think about it.
People are relying too much on it when in groups. They mindlessly involve into fights and dps, not watching at their HP or trying to stay alive, because “a teammate will get me up”.
With the removal of the downed state and just proceeding to insta-death, people will be more on their toes, watch and monitor what they are doing, and ultimately perform better in group content.
Thanks
I can’t explain the joy I felt last night when I got an endless fractal tonic from a T4 fractal XD
This emotion cannot be experienced by grinding, collection-hunting and crafting items.

Hi,
let’s say I’ve completed the first collection. If I understand correctly, I get to choose one ascended armor set of a specific weight (light/medium/heavy) as a reward?
Since I cannot complete the collection again, how do I get a different weight of the armor set?
Thanks
Topic subscription doesn’t work and it never did, IIRC.
Why is that?
Hi,
I would like to request a change where experience gained anywhere in the world should level up any mastery, no matter whether it is Central Tyria or HoT mastery.
Mastery points collection should stay as it is.
Since I play fractals and dungeons 95% of my time, huge amount of xp is going to waste, while HoT masteries aren’t getting leveled, sadly.
So, why is it that by playing the game I cannot level any mastery? Once I level them, I can freely navigate HoT maps, should I so want.
Imho, restriction on gaining experience towards masteries by regions isn’t necessary.
Thank you
Hi,
Please, make a recipe for changing attributes of an ascended back item.
Ascended back items like “Light of Dwayna” or “Quiver of Swift Flight” are generally more expensive than an ascended armor piece or a weapon, as opposed to rings and accessories, which are much more common and accessible, so it seems reasonable to me to add the change-attribute recipe.
Thanks
Hi,
I would like to roll a new char.
I play mainly PVE: raids, T4 fractals and dungeons.
What profession among the following do you suggest for me to roll?
Thanks
You’re aware of the attribute change of ascended equipment, right?
Buy/craft/loot any ascended armor, craft only viper/commander insignia and transmute it in MF to a viper/commander ascended armor set.
Hi,
When I sort dyes by material, I see there is Natural Metallic, Natural Leather and Vibrant categories. What is the difference?
Are there different types of armor? Do they follow the same categorisation (metallic, leather, vibrant)?
How do I know what armor piece is metallic, leather or vibrant?
What is the difference between applying a leather-type dye to a metallic armor piece and leather armor piece?
Any info is appreciated.
What I noticed is that sometimes when I apply a color on a chest armor piece it completely colors the piece, but then it sometimes only uses a gradient color.
Also, when applying a specific dye to different pieces of heavy armor, the dye behaves differently. It puts gradient color on chest armor, but fully colors the shoulderpads.
Thanks

Players had a couple months warning that this was going to happen. There’s no need for every player to have been able to summon the vendor one last time.
I’m sorry, what warning?
There was no warning in the game launcher, no warning in the news, forums, let alone an in-game mail…“Also, once the reward tracks feature exits beta testing, the Gift of Battle legendary crafting component will no longer be available as a vendor purchase and will be earned via its own reward track.”
patch notes of spring’s quarterly update. they warned us that once the reward track leaves beta this would happen.
Wow…

Make a PVE reward track for gifts of exploration. This way we kill two flies in one swing: one char can obtain multiple gifts and new chars have all waypoints unlocked.
Another issue is that so many players use the copper fed salvage tool which has a 10% chance of salvaging that leather.
?
One of the methods of getting the leather is through salvaging. However, T6 materials are rare salvages depending on the salvage kit used. If players want more frequent T6 mats in the long run, then they need to use better kits such as masters or mystic which give
a 25%an increased chance.
If I’m not mistaken, a T6 leather isn’t a rare material, but a common material, so type of the salvage tool used doesn’t matter.
Bring Reading Glasses back, please!
I didn’t notice any new deals on sunday.
Hi,
when will basic emotes and animations like the following finally be added?
Thanks!
I experience graphical and computing issues when playing the game for a longer period of time.
For ex. when I press H, the character loads part by part slowly. First torso, then head, then eyeballs…
Everything is slowed down.
After googling gw2 forums, could it be related to the “known” bug with gliding, HoT maps and minis?
Hi,
this has happened to me several times now, in the past several weeks, across several charactes.
I select a mini and put a checkmark in the Miniature category of the Hero window, in order to display the mini, but the checkmark gets cleared randomly after a while, which in effect hides my mini. If and when I notice that my mini has disappeared, I have to repeat the process, which is really annoying.
Does the “Due to increased player population, minis are hidden” event permanently hides minis, by mistake, perhaps, because that’s what came to my mind first?
Has anyone else experienced it?
Thanks
Hi,
Forum search doesn’t work and it never has worked for me.
I tried using different browsers and different versions of Windows.
No matter what I type in the search box, there are no results.
Bring back the NPC for a time so we can spend our accumulated tokens, and then remove the NPC once again.
I don’t have a problem with doing the reward track if I needed more GoBs. I have a problem with not being notified about such a big change.
Does it just give you an error like “cannot invite to party” when selecting the option or the option for that doesn’t show at all?
The option doesn’t show at all.
Yes, that is a complete pain, which is why I stopped doing it that way.
Now, I just double-click the tools in the shared slots — while you still have to do this twice per toon (immediately after starting and just before swapping), it takes very little effort. Now that I’m used to doing it, it’s actually less effort than using salvage kits.
(This requires having a tool in the relevant slot — the post-load double-click loads the infinite tool; the pre-swap double-click transfers it back to the shared slot.)
Since every HoT owner has at least one slot, you can give this a try even if you don’t own enough slots.
Hey, I can’t make it work the way you described.
Double-click on the tool in the shared slot equips it, that works, but for un-equipping, I still have to open Hero window, go to Equipment and un-equip it.
How do you put it into a shared slot by double-clicking?Thx
I think what people do is make sure they have a set of normal vendor tools equipped in their character’s harvesting slots. Then you put your permanent tools in the shared slots, double-clicking on the permanent tool will equip it and put the vendor tool in the shared slot. Then when you’re about to stop playing you can double-click the vendor tool (edit: in the shared slot) and it puts the permanent tool back in the shared slot.
Ah, I got it, thx

OP, I don’t get it. What you’re saying is that you want to unlock unlocked skins?
That seems too cumbersome.
I’ve been using Molten Alliance Mining Pick for the past two years and rich ore node is mined four times, 3+3+3+1
Hi,
it has now happened to me several times across several days that I cannot invite ppl to party.
For ex, I was doing hero points run in HoT maps, and when I right-click on a player’s name in the chat, there is no Invite to Party option. I tried different players, different maps, different times.
They were not offline.
If I added them to my friend list, however, then I could invite them thru the friend list window without a problem.
Am I missing something or is it a bug?
Thanks
No, these were exclusive to GW. Make it stay that way.
The vendor hasn’t returned with yesterday’s patch (28th June). I’m starting to lose hope
Zerk is for damage. I mean, what would you build if you wanted highest damage output?
If you want survivability or condi, go for something else.
Edit:
Zerk risks more and easier wipes, while survival gear does not. It’s up to you.
Some events are timed, so high damage is a must.

Please, bring back the NPC!
My patience is getting thin with these kind of decisions which ultimately waste my precious time.
I don’t get it why was it so hard to warn people and/or leave the NPC for a time afterwards?
Bring back the vendor for a month, pls
There was a warning some weeks ago (the April patch) when they introduced the wvw reward tracks.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/updates/Game-Update-Notes-April-19-2016/first#post6102518
“WvW—REWARD TRACKS (Beta)
Reward tracks have been added to World vs. World. These are nearly identical to the reward tracks you find in PvP, except that some rewards have been adjusted to be geared toward WvW players. One of the tracks offers players a chance to earn the new WvW-exclusive Triumphant armor set! Also, once the reward tracks feature exits beta testing, the Gift of Battle legendary crafting component will no longer be available as a vendor purchase and will be earned via its own reward track.”
I wish they have at least bolded the text like you did. But not even that.
Not to mention an in-game mail about such a big change would be more than welcome…
Or a news headline in the game launcher…
No heads-up on Dulfy about the change, too. Nothing.
And now, I’m stuck with loads of useless tokens -.-
That really kittenes me off!
(edited by Meehael.8240)
Why didn’t we get notified about such a big change?? An in-game mail would be more than welcome. I’m pretty mad about the lack of communication.
I have about 3k of those badges. What should I do now with them?
This is an awful decision. No way am I spending real money on gambling.

Hi,
I understand the PVP achievements for the legendary back piece require winning a certain amount of games with every profession. Doesn’t that affect matchmaking in a bad way? Let’s say I “main” warrior, won’t I suck with other professions?
Personally, I might dig to find builds for guardians, eles, etc., but I might just enter a game and hope to get carried to a win, because the opposing team’s in the same situation.
So, not everyone is playing to the best of their ability and that ruins other players’ experience.
Also, there could be times where it would be better to play a different profession in a game, but you can’t get the other teammate to switch, because “I need to win 10 games with my engi, sry bro!”.
I get that you should know every profession and the meta and that with these achievements you are “forced” to get better with other professions, too, but I’m saying that unless you are a hardcore PVP player, you won’t even try to dig that deep, especially if you are a PVE player just wanting to get The Ascension back piece.
This affects matchmaking for the worse, imho.
Wouldn’t it be better to simply rework the achievements from “Win X games with Y profession” to “Win 50 games”? Let daily PVP achievements have the “Win a game with Y profession”, that’s more than enough.
What do you think?
Thanks
Hi,
is it possible to change the prefix of an ascended back item?
If not, I would like to suggest that possibility. It would really come in handy.
Thank you
Hi,
can I change the prefix of Defender’s Sparking Vanquisher to Berserker?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Defender's_Sparking_Vanquisher
Thanks!
Hi,
would it be possible to make weapons a part of the PVP build, too?
I constantly switch between PVP and PVE, and constant switching between weapons is tedious. I even entered PVP with greatsword/rifle as a warrior once, because I forgot to switch.
I mean, everything else is already tied to PVP build (amulet, runes, sigils…), why not have separate weapons for PVP, too?
Thanks!
Hi,
when will we be able to save our char builds? This feature was so useful in the original Guild Wars.
It would be very neat to be able to make and then save several builds for a profession for different situations and then quickly switch to them by selecting a saved build.
By “build”, I primarily mean Traits and Skills (other than weapon skills). If build would be able to contain armor, weapons and trinkets, even better.
Thanks

Hi,
I’m kinda out of the loop, as I took a longer break from the game, and wiki doesn’t mention this anymore:
Is there a difference in reward between two players, both beating a L100 fractal, with one at personal fractal level of 76 and the other at 99?
I mean, both will increase in personal fractal level by one and both will get credit for T4 daily fractal achievement (if L100 currently a daily achievement).
The only difference I see is the second player’s ability to open more fractal levels.
Another question, what’s the main difference in beating a L99 fractal as opposed to beating a L100 fractal, assuming the players personal fractal level is 100?
Thanks
For me, the end game is getting fancy skins, legendary items and playing PVP.
Other than that, casual hang-out with guildies, doing the guild missions and goofing around.
Raids with guildmates over team speak is fun, too.
You might be interested in daily Tequatl and Triple Worm, perhaps?
Hi,
is it possible to upgrade Ghostly, Mighty and Versatile Mighty Infusions to +7 agony resistance?
I mean, they are so expensive, but useless in T4 fractals, which kind of defeats their purpose.

Yes, please make the shared inventory slot movable or being able to be placed at the bottom
Umh. The crafting part is minor compared to aquiring the prerequisites. I am looking forward to the hunt.
That’s just it. You need to acquire (read: grind) the prerequisites so you can craft it. They’re eliminating the luck-based component of the game and replacing it with token-based (sure, but slow) component. Boring, repetitive, often time-gated and no jump-for-joy effect after you get the lucky drop.
A hunt doesn’t always equate a grind you know. We know nothing of the details of the hunt, or the aquisition of the items needed to craft the precursor. To call it a grind simply because it may involve a long process is misleading, and ignorant.
How do we know its not something that involves collecting new drops that always drop from each of the world bosses, temple bosses, and dungeon bosses? Could something like that be considered a grind?
What about seeking out and defeating certain “secret bosses” as part of it.
Is that grinding? The point is we don’t know anything about how its going to work. To call it a grind before we have any information on the matter is silly.
Ignorant, you say?
Check out these and tell me is this not a grind? Also, are rewards from these bigger than a precursor?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bioluminescence
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Spirit_Crafter
I think grinding for these would take me five years. I can only hope that precursor hunt wont go down that road.
Wait, so he doesn’t want nonrandom ways to acquire a Precursor, he just wants the randomness made even more restrictive?
We’re done here.
Yes, but with a higher drop rate and a box of precursors to choose one from (like ascended boxes).
Boring, repetitive, often time-gated and no jump-for-joy effect.
This describes the process of doing every event, running every dungeon and never seeing a precursor. The “luck factor” sucks.
Currently, you always have the option to slowly, but surely, grind for gold and buy one off the TP.
With 1% boss-drop chance (which would be reasonably high, if precursors would be accound-bound), you never know when you’ll get one. Currently, the drop chance from bosses is 0.1% or 0.01%, which is discouraging, to say the least.
In the end, the hunt for a precursor will come down to being the same as hunting the gold to buy one off the Trading Post. Precursor crafting really wasn’t necessary.
If you ask me, I would remove precursors from Mystic Toilet and made them account-bound (no trading), but increased boss drop rate to 1%. Maybe bosses should drop a box of precursors to choose one from (like ascended chests), so you avoid getting three aquatic precursors.
Now THAT would be fun! drooling while typing
