Skip Story Cutscenes

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Meehael.8240

Meehael.8240

Dear Anet,

please, give us the ability to skip each and every one cutscene in story missions, if we wish to.

I mean, it’s really annoying to watch and hear the same long cutscenes over and over again, especially when trying to do achievements and fail regularly.

The following one is especially annoying, feel free to add yours:
LWS2: Seeds of Truth – Meeting the Asura

Fractal Relic Sink Needed

Hi,

since the infusion revamp, I’m sitting on thousands of fractal relics without being able to spend them somewhere meaningfully.

I cannot even spend them to upgrade my chars and gear with infusions, anymore.

I suggest you add the ability to purchase Integrated Fractal Matrix with fractal relics alone, at ratio you find appropriate (100/ea, for ex).

Another suggestion is to add the ability to purchase Stabilizing Matrix with fractal relics.

It’s really primitive to have 2 Phalanx Warrior and 2 Druids just so everyone will get the buffs. half of the raid group is concentrated in support. We Should get only 1 Chronomancer Tank, 1 Phalanx Warrior, 1 Druid and 7 DPSers/6 DPSers+1 Revenant.
Why other games can afford it and this game can’t.
This game has a great builds system but the raid support is pretty primitive. In World of Warcraft ya can buff 40 people.

I completely agree.
The current system is silly, to say the least.

Option to hide other player's backpack

Imho, backpacks should only be able to be hidden for characters that are “trimmed down” due to Character Model Quality setting, because otherwise, they’re an integral part of a “regular” character looks.

Legendary skins are an expection, I guess, because legendary weapon skins are always displayed.

I didn’t spend thousands of gems on cosmetic gem store items so that I look good only to myself, you do get that? I might sound blunt, but that’s common sense.

You DO understand that the suggested option would totally beat the purpose of the cosmetic part of the gem store and I would be totally kittened off if my gems were actually gone to crud because of that.

Lady Gaga doesn’t dress like that just for her to look special to herself in her bedroom.

It can already be done so your point doesn’t really mean anything here. As said, we can already lower the model quality so you appear as a grey soldier, and the only thing that would be visible still is your backpack.

Lady Gaga also dresses in very crazy attires that only her and her fashion manager comes up with, making it a very unique set. Original.

You running around in the #500 bought cash shop armour and the #600 bought cash shop wings, running around with the same attire as others who bought it isn’t exactly anything fun, or remarkable to look at.

There’s next to no value for your armour or outfit except for yourself.

Well, currently, you still see legendary weapons’ skins. I’m thinking this will extend to legendary armor skins, too (once it comes out), for consistency’s sake.
So, even if playing with “basic” models, you should see all legendary skins (weapons, armor and backpack).

Sarcasm aside, I don’t think it would be fair to be able to hide back items or armor/weapon skins of ALL other players.
I mean, I worked hard for those legendaries and I didn’t work for them just for me to see them.
This isn’t a single-player game, and that would be against the very definition of an MMO.

It should be the backpack owner’s choice to show or hide it (like it is currently).

Buy Stabilizing Matrices With Fractal Relics

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Meehael.8240

Meehael.8240

I think Nash is the better side of exchange ratio. Getting relics is insanely easy nowadays, so it shouldn’t be as cheap as 50:1 or lower. I’d say minimum 100:1, and I would prefer higher tbh.

It may be easy, but it’s slow. I get about 100 per daily T4 run (including pristine fractal relic conversion). A T4 run can take about an hour.

If you farm, you probably can get about 200-300 per hour.

So that would be 3 stabilizing matrices per hour?

I didn’t take opening fractal encryptions into account since the keys require fractal relics.
Also, if you buy five stacks of Mist Offensive Potion you must pay 40 fractal relics.

Meehael.8240

Hi,

these are my observations, correct me if I’m wrong:

  • it seems to me that a Mighty Infusion (+5 power, +7 AR) is much easier and cheaper to get! Before the patch, a mighty infusion cost about 100g, while the Versatile Mighty Infusion cost about 350g! (btw, it doesn’t seem fair to players who crafted those infusions before the patch)
  • it is possible to put a mighty infusion in armor. Previously, you had to put a versatile mighty infusion
  • you can put agony infusions in armor and weapons (for ex. +1 agony infusion)
  • you can no longer buy +5 versatile infusion for 75 fractal relics and upgrade it to a +7 versatile infusion for another 75 fractal relics
  • amulets are used exlusively for utility/enriched infusions

However, Anet said in the patch notes that it is a work in progress, quote “Finally, after making these changes to the Infusion system, we had some loose ends that needed to be tied up.”

Also, as expected, the price of Stabilizing Matrix has increased as of yesterday.

Add Party Mode Tags For LFG

Meehael.8240

Hi,

I would like to suggest something along the following party tags when broadcasting a party in the LFG for dungeons/fractals/raids:

  • Learning
  • Casual
  • Experienced
  • Hardcore

These would suggest desired party composition and experience level of players. It would label the party’s mode of play.

Make them also have a visual representation, similar to language flag tag.

Imho, that would save a lot of text in the party description.
I understand that there could be a difficulty for some party owners to determine if they are experienced or hardcore, but these tags would help in most cases, nevertheless.
Maybe color the Experienced tag with exotic color (gold) and Hardcore tag with ascended color (pink), just to give a hint of which gear is expected for a specific tag?

What do you guys think?

It would be great to see statistics in PVE, similar to what we see in PVP after a game, but for every party/squad member.

I’m up for it. Having this kind of a benchmark makes we want to test my skills and improve.

Our guild does raids on a regular basis, and sometimes we’re baffled on how does a boss fail so miserably, but succeeds gloriously other times. With no way of telling each member’s performance and what to suggest to improve it.

Maybe add a tag to party/squad saying “Tracking Statistics”, which is clearly visible in the LFG. You can toggle the tag only at party creation, not afterwards. If you want to toggle the tag afterwards, you must disband the whole party first, toggle that tag and then post lfg once again.

This way you voluntary join parties that track statistics. If you don’t like being tracked you don’t join these kind of parties.

What do you guys think?

Yes, for Twilight just forge the precursor with the usual pre-hot gifts. Get the gift of battle via wvw reward track.
No need to “collect” the precursor.

Is RNG punishing enough?

It would be wise to not tie achievement points into getting a certain piece of loot. I think that’s what sparks a lot of the ill feeling.

I like the feeling of being impressed when I see a player running around wielding a rare skin. I don’t like that feeling to quickly turn into sorrow or jealousy because it’s a skin I require to unlock for an achievement; an achievement I’m never likely to complete because of the value placed on that particular skin unlock.

I don’t think many “prestige” skins currently exist in the game that aren’t a requirement for some kind of collection or achievement… which is a shame. I would defintely be in favour of having skins drop in the game which are subject to harsh RNG but are only there to impress.

My thoughts exactly.
Also, less crafting!

Triggering a rally by killing something is the most silly mechanic, imho.
