Mercenary camps are terrible, 50 is insane…
I did a JP instead…much easier…
is that wildstar is for hardcore players so it will take them much longer to level cap.
In what way is Wildstar for hardcore players?
Really hard?
A grind that makes GW2 look completely casual?
Please explain why Wildstar is hardcore?
Why do players like you after destroy anything half decent?
Confusion is not a problem.
Your just destroying the game with your nerf it attitude.
Try adapting your build and l2p.
You’re actually mad they did something different in this event?
I am the Mad KIngs dungeon was many, many times better…
Honestly can’t believe they did not bring it back…
If they had updated the chest rewards, let players run it as much as they want with no decrease in rewards, it would have been a MASSIVE HIT, but no, no fun for you GW2 players. They could have just limited it to 3 days, 30th Oct – 1st November, I would have been happy…
The league winners will get a gold/silver/bronze dolyak finisher…we know that for certain…
99.99% of all other players will get a chest with 2 greens and a blue…same as you always get in GW2.
- Melee builds do more damage for every profession with no exception I can think of
Well, there is the curious case of ranger GS.
Interesting GW2 FACT, a Ranger picking up a warriors banner, does more damage with the 1 skill than they do with the greatsword 1 skill.
Perhaps Rangers have blunt greatswords…
Not surprised on the developer guides on Ranger, the dev TOTALLY avoided greatsword, not mentioning it once…
Only WvW interests me now, if GW2 didn’t have that, I would have stopped playing ages ago…
But if your bored, possibly suffering from burnout, play another game or do something else. I play loads of other games besides GW2. The games industry is ultra competitive with loads of games to choose from…
We have made no changes to the drop rates of the Wxp items.
Thanks.
I guess, I have just had a unlucky streak then. Really weird the big change over a few weeks, guess that’s RNG.
Well its good to know they still drop!
Before last patch, I used to get 2-5 drops of wxp per session of WvW I played, thimbles perhaps 1 every other session, around 2-4 per week. The last 2 weeks I have had no drops for either. Nothing as changed play wise from my point of view, actually probably played a lot more WvW the last 2 weeks.
So that’s why I am thinking they have reduced the drop rate on those (wether intended or not) and forgot to put it in patch notes, like they did with the champion bags nerf.
(edited by Meglobob.8620)
Has anyone noticed drops of Wxp, was a uncommon drop and thimbles of Wxp, was a rarer drop, have stopped dropping completely in the last 2 weeks?
Before the last patch, I was slowly building up a stockpile of those but now those drops have become non-existant, ie…don’t drop at all.
When they nerfed champion loot bags, it seems they nerfed those drops as well. Was this intended by Anet or a mistake/bug/unintended effect?
I ask because Devon said he was determined to increase Wxp a month or so ago and this goes against that.
I dont’ think John Smith want you to know a small portion of people hold all the wealth.
Just like the real world then…where 5% of the population control 80% of world resources/$.
Just like to make a point about loot.
In the recent feedback threads on the general discussion forum, WvW and PvP forums, about 80-90% of players listed LACK OF REWARDS, as a MAJOR problem with GW2.
Anets response? NERF rewards even more…
They ask for feedback and then ignore it all.
Its no wonder the forums get toxic…those feedback threads are just PR, looks like they have no intention of listening.
Those people are specifically talking about sPvP and WvW, which does not pertain at all to the “champ train”. Most of those people were actually saying that it isn’t fair that PvE farmers get such better rewards than WvW/sPvP players, so this change actually appeals to them.
They are not…there were 3 separate threads, the PvE one had 80%+ players saying rewards were rubbish.
I think its not just about quantity of loot, but variety.
Also, how often do you equip a drop on your character? I have all 8 classes at level 80 and all there equipment was bought on the TP or bought via dungeon tokens or WvW badges.
99.99% of all drops are salvaged/sold.
I agree with the OP.
The mercenary camps one is a joke, it should be 10 maxium, 50 is insane…
The caravans one should be 100 maxium.
The damage to gates should be lower. I have been through 100’s of gates already and only got credit for 11.
More defensive achievements need to be put in.
Personally, I am fine with the JP ones, nice and easy…
(edited by Meglobob.8620)
If Anet had a $ everytime someone asked this on the forums…they wouldn’t need the gem shop…
But, Anet are digging there heels in on this and stubbornly say NO, NEVER, its NOT on the table, WXP will always be soulbound, DEAL WITH IT…
Why Karma Nerf ???
Because Anet get very, very sad if there is not at least 1 nerf per week to GW2.
They are having a NERF IT NERF IT party on Dec 10th…
Good news we don’t have power creep in GW2…we have power decline instead…enjoy!
Wouldn’t it be amazing if they said, “Surprise, surprise we are releasing a expansion in December”…
Would save me from the relatives, ‘shudder’…
Rewards are more than generous for the difficulty of this game. Even tequatl is easy.
So all those thousands of players who say rewards are rubbish in GW2 are wrong and your right?
10,000’s of players have left ages ago because of the lousy reward system and constant NERFING of anything that gives a half decent reward.
Give me some examples of drops you have had in the last month that got you excited?
Just like to make a point about loot.

Knowing Anet, its RNG…
Anet LOVE BIG TIME RNG.
So it isn’t a queue at all, its a swimming pool with players randomly caught with a net…
Australians not welcome in the Music Comp
No didgeridoo’s allowed!
Australians can’t sing, can they?
Oh except for Kylie…she can sing all day long…
What level will the dungeon be?
Ascended level…
It will be the usual 2 greens and a blue…don’t get your hopes up!
I like the league…
Just solve 2 problems…
1. Queue, which we know they are currently working on.
2. Put a handicap system in place, so every server in league as a chance of winning. Probably never do this because then people would not buy gems to change servers.
We get a shiney GOLD, SILVER or BRONZE dolyak finisher, so 3 different types to exact…
Far, far better then any finishers you PvP’ers get cause its GOLD (or silver, bronze) and its extra shiney and gleaming…
I will visit PvP to show mine off when I get it, to annoy you some more…lol
Oh yea, I forgot it goes MOO too…
(edited by Meglobob.8620)
Its official, just consulted my Auntie who’s a clairvoyant, she saw a precursor…
1. Swiftness
2. Stability
3. Protection
4. Regeneration
5. Fury
6. Vigor
7. Might
8. Retaliation
9. Aegis
If Anet ever want more money, they can always release a expansion, that would get them a bucket load…
Also, if they ever do release a expansion, as part of that wouldn’t they after pump some gems into the market as part of that? Its what was done at the start GW2, they started it off with loads of free gems, since then players and only player have changed the exchange rate with there activities.
Do people actually find grinding out ascended gear fun? The 100s of gold spent PER profession, the time gating, the champ/event trains for ascended mats, the tons of lower tier mats required…THIS is fun? THIS actually makes people happy and want to keep playing the game?
I know its really weird…
Honestly a choice between doing that and overtime at work, I would choose the overtime…that’s how rubbish and unfun it is!
- There will be new unlockable skills and traits.
You have had this, Antitoxin Spray, a mostly useless, overpriced racial/living story skill.
You want the moon on a stick, you do.
I am 100% certain that was your precursor or ascended weapon…bad luck…
It might shock you, but it might be you.
Have you ever considered this ^?
It may be your bad play that’s bringing your teammates down?
There is a serious flaw with RNG in that 1 person can be very lucky and another can be very, very unlucky. The lucky player loves the game and the unlucky player calls the game utter rubbish and goes to play something else forever bad mouthing the game to all the people he knows.
SOLUTION
Keep RNG in the game but implement a method that restricts extreme bad luck which will happen to a considerable amount of players and it being luck, is totally beyond there ability to control.
Being a MMO base it on number of hours played, a 100% guaranteed drop. So rather like the current MF% counter, you could have a drop counter.
For example with exotics, Anet may think a exotic drop every 50 hours played is a ‘fair/average drop rate’, so when you play a counter clocks the hours up to 50, if a exotic drops on the 24th hour it resets to 0 and starts going again, so worse case scenario after 74 hours you would have had 2 exotic drops. The extremely unlucky player would get 2 exotics at 100 hours played. So you still have lucky/unlucky players but theres a LIMIT on bad luck.
Otherwise, without a system like that with RNG as it is now, you have one player who has had 10 exotics drop in 100 hours and another player with no drops in 1,000 hours. Blatantly unfair…
LOL! RNG is never fair…. because it is random. I can’t see how you think RNG is flawed because one person is lucky, and another isn’t.
And as for your suggestion to add some type of counter in place of RNG. That isn’t a solution. That’s called “Entitlement”, because you’re basically asking for free rare stuff every X number of hours/days.
Had a few chickens left over from Halloween
I have just sacrificed one cursing you, Smooth Penguin, with EXTREME BAD LUCK with RNG in any current/future game you play.
Enjoy…LOL.
So I have a simple question, will my total swiftness uptime be improved or made worse ?
Worse by up to 50%, unless you stand still waiting for the pulses. Its another Anet nerf.
This skill is very powerful in SPVP for your team, that’s why you nerf it. WvW should not be affected with this change, guardian already lack of speed in comparison to other class.
Its not that powerful in sPvP and why not just make the change sPvP only? Why hurt WvW/PvE?
Guardians DON’T have a lack of speed, the skill is used to help out other classes move faster, like Mesmers for example…
If a list of most used skills was compiled in WvW, staff 3 Symbol of Swiftness would probably be no 1 most used skill by a distance…so HUGE nerf.
(edited by Meglobob.8620)
Do the JP again or try a different one, sucks, I know…

Gold/7
Queues and need to have a handicap system so every server in league as a chance.
They are changing in so that it gives 4 seconds per pulse. It pulses 3 times I think so that’s 12 seconds of swiftness if you stay on it. But most importantly it will always give 4 seconds of swiftness when you run over it instead of the 1 second you get now if you already have swiftness. Its kinda a buff and a nerf.
Its true what you say but the way it works in practice is everyone runs through it and gets 1 pulse, used to be 8 secs will now be 4 secs. Given that you are using it to get form A to B as fast as possible, stopping for a 2nd pulse is just not viable.
If Anet think swiftness is OP why are all other character classes swiftness skills not being nerfed. It makes no sense making it Guardians only.
(edited by Meglobob.8620)
No one in WvW bothered about the nerf to symbol of swiftness?
That’s the guardian staff 3 skill, that generally gives other players swiftness.
It currently gives 8 secs of swiftness, they are nerfing it to 4 secs.
Its probably one of the most used skills in WvW, also how can 8 secs of swiftness be overpowered and need a nerf?
The mind boggles…
Halloween used to be for everyone
Only grinders or the rich need bother now…
I instantly loved this update…why?
Kasmeer and Marjory that’s why!
I position my 8 characters around the world to speed up whatever I am doing and save on traveling/wp costs.
Warrior – Currently doing sPvP/dungeons
Guardian – WvW/dungeons/fractals
Mesmer – Kessex Hills (LS)/Jumping puzzles
Ranger – Does Invasions/open world stuff
Engineer – Labyrinth/Halloween/jumping puzzles
Necro – Trading Post
Ele – World events
Thief – Trolls other players in WvW JP/PvP/WvW (when I am in a bad mood and want to inflict it on other players in game…lol)
All 80 exotics/ascended
Don’t have a main.
(edited by Meglobob.8620)
I honestly think the only time we will get ‘proper’ new skills for general play and new weapons for classes with skills tied in to them will be in a expansion. If and when that ever happens.
Welcome to WvW!
Same thing here, when GW2 first came out, I wasn’t too keen on WvW, little did I know then that it would become my favourite part of GW2 by a HUGE margin.
Well by your standards and by Anets own standards of reward throughout the game, especially in WvW, I suspect the answer is :-
A huge slap in the face when I open it.
The only time I have known Anet to be fantastically generous with rewards was the chest at the end of the 1st Karka event, which had a decent chance of precursor/exotics. But since then they have been increasingly tight with there rewards, hence all the player complaints you see.
No, if I don’t like the content I won’t play it, no matter what.
My free time is worth more than any reward Anet could put in the game.
I find the rewards as a whole in GW2 medicore, unimaginative and rubbish by and large.
Won’t those Elites be treated the same as champions were before, FINALLY (after 6 months of players complaining), they dropped good loot.
Players will just run/dodge/avoid those elites because the loot they drop is not worth the time/effort.
It seems to me Anet just repeating the mistake they made with champions…
Also, this is a stealth rise in foes we face to balance out players increased stats from ascended gear. Its why gear grind is ultimately a waste of time/futile effort because the foes you face just grow in power too. So althrough your characters stats increase, your characters are not in reality anymore powerful.
(edited by Meglobob.8620)
If this is what they mean by new skills then its a disappointment…
The new heal skill is on par with racial skills ie…mainly rubbish…
Its only really useful when in Kessex Hills and probably in the future when you go into the tower in a group.
All those threads about this new skill being OP were joke threads.
Virtually all character classes currently have far better heal skills then this one.
If Anet want to see this used more in the future outside of LS they will need to buff/change it considerably.
