Am I, if not, will I ever be able to make more than 5 toons?
I’ve got a level 80 warrior which I find immensely fun, looking for a good second. I’ve leveled a theif, guardian, ranger, and necro to 20-22. I would like to try an Elementalist. However I don’t want to delete any of my other toons to do it.
I know, I know, “its only level 20” I’m not about to waste a weeks worth of work leveling again, and I don’t have the gold to throw into “craftling” a toon. (besides that all the guides that are out there on a “cheap” way to level through crafting are hogwash. All of them are vastly more expensive than they say, and never give the xp that they say, even with boons and all that.)
Ideas?
it is possible to notice lower damage since this last update, because in the update notes it is specified that:
“Attribute calculations for dynamic level scaling have been rebalanced. In general, this means weaker when adjusted down, stronger when adjusted up. Rewards when adjusted down have been increased to compensate. It is now possible to receive your own level of loot from any level of enemy. "

I, Like so many other players hate grinding for gold. Due to the fact that i find it so hard to get, unless you cheat, and then you’re swimming in it. Which drives prices up, making it harder for the legitimate player to afford the things that keep them playing.
Anet probably (maybe) knows this, and are (slowly) taking steps to put a dent (really really small dent) in this giant wall of steel made up of hackers, scammers, gold sellers, and botters.
The obvious problem is limited resources. Be it man-power, funding, know-how, or what ever bottle neck they are facing.
So I thought i’d pitch in with one I recently found.
This guy, OmniGW, claims to have made an “instant 80, skill points, traits, and gold generator”
Being the curious person I am, DLed the thing on my Linux box, ran it through a decompiler and found the following: (oh how surprising!)
What this program is, is a bunch of empty fields you can fill in that do NOTHING!
Except for the Account name and Password boxes.
When you put your info into those boxes, This OmniGW guy (lives in GB) gets sent an email (omni247123@gmail.com) with the Subject “Account” and body “Username: Password:”
attachted to that Email is whatever you put in Account and Password.
BUT Methal! all those peoples says it works!
OMG! IKR? Guess what? they are lying. Checking on their youtube accounts they are a)linked to the same Email address (omni247123@gmail.com) or are also based at the same physical Location as this scammer. (except one who thinks hes from sweden.)
There are NUMEROUS programs such as this. There are dozens more that actually DO something.
There are programs that will teleport you, make you run through walls. Hell 3 hours of WvW and I see them everywhere. Entire guilds that can teleport themselves anywhere on the map.
I know that throwing this guys personal info in here was probably not the nicest thing I could do.
But if youre going to lie, cheat, and steal, does anyone care if you get exposed for it?

So onto the point. Avoid this kind of stuff. If you are buying gold, youre likely buying gold stolen off another player. If you are new to this kind of thing, TRUST NO ONE!
There is no reason, ever, anytime to give out your account info. In 15 years of playing MMO’s i’ve never shared my account info with anyone. Only those that do, can get compromised.

Right now I’ve got all zerkers stuff for the +crit dmg. I’m running about 68% crit +80% crit dmg.
20k health right ont he dot.
I’m running ax/shield. I don’t WVW much. Just doing this for fast farming and for killing world bosses.
Is there a better route to take for max damage?
Has anyone done any math to show that a 3-Bar Evis doesn’t do considerably more damage than auto-attack? Because I think it does. >.>
Considering that If i crit for all the auto attacks my dmg is somewhere in the range of 6k 2k(3) + the previous auto attacks at 1200 each assuming they all crit 3(1200) 3600 total of around 9.6k which takes about 3-5 seconds to get off. Or an instant 8-10k…Ya evsic does SIGNIFICANTLY more dmg.
Even ifyou have +12% more dmg from a full 3 bars to find out just multiply all the numbers by .12 before you add them. You’re total is going to be somewhere around 10k. but its going to take 3-5 seconds to get that dmg off. Or get it off anyway and throw in another 8k from Evisc.
They would have to change the legendary’s so they don’t suck. at BEST they are only like 2-3% better than a 2g exotic.
sounds like a windows problem to me.

Dunno bout anyone else, but I like, and sometimes its unavoidable, to be able to left click and move the screen around while fighting.
Biggest problem I have right now with the game Is that when I do this, I almost ALWAYS lose my target and my champ ends up standing there. OR when I go into fight a mob it runs past/through my champ and I have to go through a rather annoying dance with the stupid thing, pullnig other crap onto myself to get back into a fightable facing position.
Going crazy here. I’m sick and tired of having to click on the kitten mobs over and over again while fighting.
Also I get sick of mobs running around my toon when I move. Can’t the kitten things stand still for 2 seconds?
sure sure there is an essence of strategy to positioning, which is completely understandable. HOWEVER.
STOP forcing me to click and reclick on the kitten stupid target again and again every time I move my toon.
TAB targetting isn’t a solution either. Since it targets kitten near everything, but only the closest target and then seems to have some stupid fixiation with JUST that one thing (even if its a stupid critter) it and wont “scroll” through other targets.
Change TAB to select the CLOSEST enemy even if its behind me, and give me the ability to hit TAB to see other targets ranging from close to far,
and stop with the stupid breaking of targets by clicking anything anywhere withthe mouse.
This alone would make the game 100% more playable.
Putting 40 exotic level 80 Staffs into the Mystic Forge and guess what happened?

Its things like this that make me think twice about not only playing this game, but crafting in general….
Farming seems out of the question as well. Why play by the rules when those who don’t make it so hard?
Just buy the gold with RL Money, or forget about getting legendarys….

Might drop jewel crafting and pick up armor crafting. Although I’ll have to do some more research, I don’t know what I can do with jewel crafting yet that i would have to give up to pick up armor crafting.
is there a web site with this kind of info on it?
The learning curve is a bit steep…especially since this is my first MMO.
It seems that there is a LOT of gathering time involved in the two professions I have chosen: Weapons smith, and Jeweler.
Basically what I am asking, is the time worth the reward? I’ve heard about these legendary weapons that can be made, but the time sink into making them does not seem to be worth the item.
Or am I wrong? I do like the way it is set up, but I find that I must farm gold, then spend it on copper or what not to get the amounts that I’m going to need to level anything.
Also I am out leveling the gear I can make faster than I can make it.
not liking that part.
