Staff is clearly about condition damage, why put that silly condition on a staff that doesn’t help us at all?

You don’t sound like you want to be convinced, so I am unsure why you posted. It smells like troll tbh.

Mesmer does not do enough damage? Pardon? As someone who played a warrior I am unsure if serious. Engineers may pump out more damage with grenades, but they do that against all classes, not simply more than mesmers.

Your number one utility are your clones. Keep churning them out, mobs do not chase your party members so that they can chase your clones. Now add a cripple on death trait and you’ve just become a cornerstone in those chaotic five silver mob pulls.

Start your pulls with a illusion, have the whole group waste their alpha strike on an expendable clone instead of a valued team member.

Got Null Field and Feedback (as you should). Is there no need for them? Are you chomping on a boss/champion? Thrown them on the mob anyway, projectiles going through will add confusion stacks and that’s more damage.

Granted, if you’re playing with a staff (our defensive weapon) and complain about DPS (do you even have the extra bounce traited in?) it does not even make sense to post about it. The way you put it I’m unsure if you even are equipped with your exotics and using your berserker gear, because saying the GS is subpar smells like using green Rampager (your staff’s gear) with a greatsword.

Staff is defensive? x_x All out Carrion gear with staff does serious damage. I think more people need to watch the guides on the following thread.

20/0/30/0/20 is a seriously epic spec. I have done plenty of dungeons and only ever gone into down state once. You do no damage when you’re dead and I always see my fellow dps group members laying on the floor crying for help. Stand at max range and keep 3 illusions up at all times and throw out Chaos storm/null field etc for your group members and keep rocking. GW2 hates melee players, why bother with the sword etc?

Agreed. The nerf stamp was far too harsh, especially on the Staff as it’s not even used much in SPvP.

The PvP nerf buggered up the PvE for Mesmer.

Would like to be able to preview items and dyes from the trade post before I spend money on them. The icons don’t always say much and I’m finding googling every single item to find out what it looks like is a bit annoying.

There’s been broken dynamic events in Orr for God knows how many weeks now, would’ve thought they’d be sorted before you start nerfing all the classes etc? Priority should be to have a working game before you tweek it.

Getting somewhat fed up with all the broken events, especially in Cursed Shore area.

I have waited days now to complete the 2nd Orr area due to a bugged skill point, and the level 80 Orr area is full of bugged dynamic events on Piken Square server, and that’s the long ones that start the priest/priestesses of Grenth etc bosses.

Rather annoying. Restart the servers more often please.

Individual Server Forums

It’d be great to have a forum section for each server, currently there’s no way of advertising or looking for guilds.

I’ve played since launch now, got a level 80 and a few alts between 5-20 and I have yet to come across a guild, in fact I’ve seen hardly any guild advertisements at all, I have no clue what guilds do what and what guilds aim for what.

It seems all guilds so far are just groups of friends since there’s very few means of finding the right one for you.

There’s also the lack of ability to organise server wide events.

I’d just really like to see a sub forum for each server just so we have somewhere to discuss things within our server, discuss WvWvW and many other things.

being in party somewhat helps you staying together on the map if you play with friends or guildies (though the “see blue dot”-range seriously needs a bost). And its used for dungeons and storylines. It is fine this way imo, I see too much PL/PF abuse with the system you propose.

System I propose? You mean the one used in every single other MMO?
The current system does not reward team play, it rewards selfish damage tagging, it’s not about single targeting down the mobs that hurt the most, it’s a matter of making sure everything has been tagged so you get xp and loot from it.

This game was supposed to reward playing with others and help eachother, being a support role is currently pointless, you help others and get nothing for it.

Right so I’m having a bit of trouble getting my head around what the point of being in a party is, currently dynamic events etc where there are loads of mobs coming at you it just turns into a massive “AoE tag all the mobs as soon as possible before they die” event. If you don’t get a hit in, you get no loot whether you’re in a party or not, and during dynamic events you’re punished if you revive fellow players and buff them as the event itself only cares whether you’re dealing damage or not.

I recall spending a whole lot of time reviving probably close to 50 or more players during the last Centaur dynamic event in Harathi Hinterlands and was punished with a Silver Medal event reward simply because I didn’t damage the boss enough whilst in fact I made sure other players did make up for it by being alive.

Playing as a support role is not rewarding in any group play in GW2 at the moment as it’s all about whether you’ve hit a mob or not, you get less XP, less loot and generally less of everything if you decide to be a helpful player.

This is actually a pretty big concern for me as I don’t want to spend my whole time in every single dynamic event trying to make sure I use as much AoE as possible on all the incoming mobs.

I really hope ArenaNet makes it so at least if you’re in a party you get XP and loot for what you’re friends have tagged so you can play as a group and not a frantic smack everything that moves type of playstyle.

Yes of course you have the option to play as what you want but it should NOT be punished to be a buffer/support player. This also makes it a big concern for some classes that lack AoE abilities, some classes are forced to use AoE based weapons just to be able to get something out of a event rather then a weapon they want to use.

Sorry for rambling on and on and probably going in circles but this really concerns me and I’m running out of ways to describe what I’m trying to get across.

Anyone else feeling this way?

Just feel like I spend more time tagging mobs then trying to enjoy what’s actually going on around me.

Being punished for stopping to revive a player doesn’t exactly produce team play.

Pff, “there’s no tank”, I put my middle finger up at the “no trinity system” remark and tank anyway. Might not work in dungeons but workskittenwell out in the world, whether it’s 6-10 normal mobs or 2 veterans + 5 mobs or a champion and the odd mob it can be tanked if you do it correctly. The mobs seem more interested in hitting me then my mates when I try to control them and soak/avoid damage without going out of combat for 5 minutes and wait for the useless heal skill to do it’s work, I get regen banners, use the sigil heal (I never activate it) and go nuts.

Break the mold mate, be different and don’t use a greatsword with a “I wanna see big pixeled numbers” trait builds and soak that damage, your group will thank you for it.

Power/Tough/Vitality is not craftable, it’s called “Soldier’s” in general and the closest you can get to it is either Cleric’s or Knight’s which neither include Vitality.

Seems very random, one minute it’s when I go from axe/shield to bow and back to axe/shield, then the next fight it’s when I do the first change to bow. Doesn’t seem to have any specific pattern to it at all.

The 15 pointer in Discipline “Fast Hands” is bugged, it’s supposed to lower the weapon swap by 5 seconds, well it doesn’t always work, there’s plenty of episodes where it works then all the sudden I’m on a 9 second cooldown. Seems to be sometime at the start of a fight that it happens more often then any other time. I swap over to Longbow whenever my adrenaline bar is full to put the F1 on the floor then back to axe/shield, I tend to sometime get stuck tanking mobs with the bow out, doesn’t always go as planned due to the bug.

(Went ingame to get some screenshots, pay attention to the cooldown timer on the actionbar and see that I’ve got 20 points in discipline)

With a barber shop you can put new hairstyles and faces etc in the gem shop as well, I’d gladly buy hairstyles for RL money.

Please can we have server forums? SWTOR suffered greatly by not having it and relied on fan forums to sort that out. It’s impossible to find a guild on your own server, the “find a guild” sub forum here will be spammed from all different servers making it very, very hard to find a guild on your own server.

Additionally to that it’ll be hard to organise some kind of events etc on your own forum without server specific forums.

It’d be such a relief to be able to talk within your own server.

Please consider this, fans were shouting at BioWare to get it for SWTOR, the fans were ignored there, don’t make the same mistake please.
