I would like to welcome Knight of Flowers and Silvannas to the status of Commander from Caedas [CDS]! After spending a great deal of time with me and learning my methods and how to increase player morale/organization, they became WvW Officers for CDS and we farmed commander tags for the both of them! As such, CDS will be able to assist more with overnight coverage during my absences because of this bullkitten thing called working to pay bills. /cry

Also, I do not want to leave out somebody very important! Many of you may recognize Commander Jack Lowland. He was a former FL guild member and after his application got approved he joined Caedas [CDS] some time ago. After spending a great deal of time acclimating him to CDS and how we do things/and treat our server community he has proven time and time again he deserves to be here. As such, I have granted him full permission to display his Commander tag as a CDS representative. His assistance will be during mostly during NA prime time and mornings. If you ever need reinforcements to a keep or map somewhere, we are hardcore WvW addicts and you may contact either of us 4 CDS Commanders and we will lend our aid to the best of our ability!

Now that the politics are over… Can I get a score update please? At work on lunch!

Have people forgotten you can still give unlimited heals and buffs with combo fields? I feel like people are overlooking this mechanic.. Turtles are still viable with the right amount of combo field organization..

Back onto the thread topic! Wonder what WvW will be like this weekend with that upcoming PvE update

If any EU players really want competition on US., you can check Sanctum of Rall. hell, any of the top 6 servers in US you will find decent forces to fight against. I say Sanctum of Rall because Sea of Sorrows is the unofficial oceanic server on NA side, and they can cover 3 maps easily during the night of NA, leaving a huge presence issue for Sanctum.

Lmao. IoJ attacks us just as much as any other server. I’ve seen them come into a map when we had SoS pushed back and begin capping our points. Won’t even go there..

Not biting anymore troll bait. I never said the 3 of us belonged in those tiers either, I just stated a fact, that none of the 3 servers ignore each other.

Lets hope next week will be different. Not because of the score (I am from IOJ) but because it will (my opinion) show that SOS is no tier 1. They will get spanked with their pants on and not because there is some event. It is because they really do not know how to face big ammounts on the other side. If they do they mostly lose. It also will show that SOR is not even Tier 2 because now they are mostly ignored by IOJ because they are no match and what is the point in going for second place? And IOJ may drop a tier or 2 as well I think. We simply do not have the numbers to be in Tier 2.

I really hate to be the realist here, but not a single server SoR, SoS, or IoJ ignores another. Not a single one. When SoR was attacking (and capped) Klovan, Wildcreek and Golanta from SoS, IoJ capped Umber and sieged Durios. When We puhed IoJ back and sieged Ogre tower, SoS began hitting Quentin Lake, then Anza pass tower.

This is something I just remembered was very recent. Don’t call out “this server ignores this one etc etc etc”. It simply isn’t true. This is a 3 way server battle..no server is going to have the luxury of being 1v1..

On that note, please refrain flaming other servers. This thread has been locked once. Let’s keep it classy!

In all honesty, I do everything I can to improve our server standing. Too many people get Commander for the wrong reasons. I feel if you have Commander, it is your obligation to the server to do everything in your power to make their play experience as best as it can be! To most, that means being successful, and therefor I give it my all to ensure victory. (I haven’t touched spvp or pve for 4 weeks now… And I play 8-12 hours a day LOL )

Btw, can I get a score update? At work at the moment!

I can answer your questions in a later post (at work right now) but you if your sole purpose is leveling you’re better off doing zone completions in pve maps. (i hit 80 during the 3 day headstart by doing zone completions.) WvW is all about the thrill if battle.

Hey Czy! I have sent you a PM regarding CDS!

The rendering issue is bad enough without it loading custom dyes.

I don’t think portals should be removed. At times it’s the only way to get reinforcements into your keep being sieged with supply.

As a Commander, I make good use of my mesmers by this and yes, even portal bombing when the situation calls for it. For instance if we are getting pushed back from a supply camp back into our keep, 10 of us will portal behind and try to burst down the squishies in the back.

However, I do think being able to portal 30 people with no consequences is a little broken, and should be looked at. If not portals, definitely the rendering issue.

As for removing them completely, this I am not on board with. Same as thieves and perma stealth. I don’t think it should be removed, but I think stealth defending is broken. Something else that comes down to rendering, I think.

Lol, I was in Eternal from 2pm EST until 1045pm EST before I had to leave for work. Was having an absolute blast defending SM castle from SoS nonstop!

When upgrading keeps/towers, always leave 1-2 people watching a camp, and 1-2 escorting dolyaks into the said structure being upgraded.

More often than not have I been buying waypoint (I buy a waypoint in every keep owned by my guild, already paid for 5 waypoints/wall upgrades this matchup) have I seen people simply let a dolyak walk itself in..and get sniped by 1 enemy on his own. Also, seen people grab supply to go build offensive siege where the zerg is attacking, instead of stopping at a supply camp along the way.

Gaining steady oceanic presence to add to our heavy NA presence! Loving our new members!

If not for the worry about the occasionally “F bomb” when getting flanked by a zerg, you two would love it here at Caedas[CDS] on Sanctum of Rall server. We’re very WvW focused, SPvP tournaments, and running dungeons 2 nights a week for guild influence/gear/coin/karma.

Very active in US evenings, with a strong overnight/oceanic presence.

Like I said, we occasionally let the “S” or “F” bomb drop when getting severely caught “with our pants down” in WvW though.

In no way shape or form do I think thieves stealth should be nerfed. I however, think they shouldn’t be able to capture nor defend a control point while stealthed be it camp tower keep or otherwise. It doesn’t work in spvp control points, neither should it work in WvW control points. Especially when you have a wall down at a keep and you need to send 20 people to supply up and bro g back repair supplies, those 20 people then have to deal with hunting down a thief only to be zerged by the enemy forces before ever getting the camp to 5% controlled.

Even the thief responsible for this whispered me and told me it was him solo holding it and not a group; agreed that it was a broken mechanic. I am not advocating a nerf, I simply am suggesting this control point issue be reviewed.

^ I agree with this statement. I made the same post in the SoR/IoJ/SoS thread before it was locked because of flaming!

During NA primetime we are top in potential points per tick. During Oceanic time we drop to 2nd or 3rd.

Then during morning NA time we bounce back and gain ground.

We always have waypoints on each map by oceanic time!

Whats your interest/focus in the game? PvP? WvW? PvE? While Caedas is PvX, we tend to focus more on WvW/PvP. So I don’t want to bother you in PMs if you focus elsewhere Not gonna copy.paste spam like most people do!

Anyone else find this exploiting? Or even borderline exploiting?

On SoR map, we have 15 people at Godslore capping… 2 thieves managed to use the rendering/stealth tactic and prevent us from capping. 10 PRX run in, we push them out. No cap. 10 PRX run in, push them out, no cap.

The 2 thieves pop very rarely and then stealth for another 4-5 minutes.

Another all nighter under the belt! Well done Caedas!

I can assure you that if you come into a map Caedas [CDS} has been on that night, you will be coming into a map with upgraded keeps and towers. Caedas will focus a keep to upgrade after capping, while sending out strike teams, before going full offensive.

I think full only applies for how many people are online in the server at that moment. Don’t think it’s total population, but rather total population online. If it’s night time and NA numbers are low Oceanics should be able to transfer…that is if my assumption is correct.

I believe you are right. What I meant was the bots being in WvW. They are slowly thinning out but it seems the Skritt area in borderlands maps are where they focus. Thus it’s disheartening for people to sit through a queue only to find out 20 spots belong to ranger bots. Thankfully we are able to coordinate them being banked a few times! Thanks to Ioj and Sos groups for working with us to make a truce in that area for bot farming! However, I think they moved on to casting heals at the waypoint so they don’t get kicked out and sit through a queue…must not be working because their numbers are dwindling!

I also would like to apologize to SoS. You guys worked hard for your lead. Like Kayku said above bots are swarming our PvE zones and Oceanics find it hard to transfer in I think.

This 100%. We have 20 bots in SoR map all week. 10 in Krait, 10 in Skritt. Send reports for all of them, as did 5 guildies.
