What a Stormbluff Isle player thought about his new matchup in WvW :

Sanctum of Rall:
- Whoever said that they suck at PvP, just please stop talking right now (no offense). They’re pretty kitten good and they have a ton of good strategies that they employ on a regular basis.
- From my own observation, the guilds to look for are FEAR and CDS. FEAR will run around as a 30-ish mob and they will bring catapults to bear on the northern reaches of just about everything. And it will be superior 95% of the time. Trebuchet, ballista, catapult, you name it, they got it in superior form.
- CDS is another smart cookie that gave us hell on the west side of the map all night. They defended the everliving CRAP out of the Bay keep they claimed, keeping us from touching it for even 5 minutes before getting scouted and slaughtered.
- SoR loves to employ maneuver, CDS and FEAR especially. They don’t care if they have superior numbers, they WILL run around you to flank almost every time. Sadly it worked even as we watched them do it, though culling played a factor. They’ll also do fake retreats, or temporary retreats to make sure we aren’t paying attention then hammer us when we’re busy with something else.
- When engaging a FEAR zerg, wait for the mesmers to burn all of their feedback. Seriously, they spam the crap out of it as a moving wall of reflection as soon as any fight starts. Any non-projectiles are amazing against them, but a lot of other classes are SoL.

Sanctum is definitely the server for you then. We are very helpful to new players, setting up server class trainers (I am the guardian trainer) for people wishing to level a new class or even starting from scratch. We also run weekly WvW training events.

I also sent you a pm not long ago Elivo concerning player guides and such!

At the OP.

Perhaps it was simply the server you were in that gave such a bad experience with the community. I’ve never once has an issue with elitism or otherwise in our WvW community.

We have constant dungeon run and karma farming events, as many are close to their legendary! 10 people possess one in CDS so far. 90% of us are WvW addicts so you’ll find us in there more often than not!

Sanctum of Rall has a friendly, very helpful community both in WvW and in PvE. Ours guilds work very well together via voice chat! Our server name itself has a history, Rall was the name of a GSCH member whom passed away while eagerly awaiting Gw2 release and Anet named the server after him when GSCH contacted them.

As for Blackgate, they’re pretty good in WvW, moving to tier 1 this week. Unsure of their pve side!

Hi Isis! I won’t recommend Sanctum of Rall since all my mates have done so already. But CDS moved here and lost all our influence and upgrades so we know how that goes. As such, as part of the server recruitment I am running, I have farmed up gold to assist with any guilds coming over. I am currently sitting at 105gold to help you with influence if this interests you in easing the pain of losing your influence!

For all the smack talk CHOO does its funny watching us derail the Lame Train every night. Looking forward to T1 so we can have some decent competition.
Smack talk can be fun (I tend to skim over it). But this just makes us look ridiculous. BG has learned and gotten better because we faced guilds like [Choo]/[TW]/[CDS]/[Many others]. That is the only way I want to fight; against guilds like them. We roam WvW hoping to find the next big battle, and they deliver.
As we leave to tier 1, All of the BG players I know will be giving SoR a collective “GG, thanks for the good fights” and meaning it.

Yeah I know that I give huge props to many SOR guilds and the few TC guilds we have fought over the last weeks. And our coverage time (KnTs) is very difficult playing against your guys NA prime. I will miss many of our battles and hold a ton of respect for guilds that made us fight harder and be smarter (CDS, TW, CHOO etc..) I will miss the days of the KnT supply camp 30 on 30 fights! Those were epic.

Here’s a picture I took at Klovan last night. Our trebs from SM couldn’t hit BG trebs(they were on top of the supply depot) in Klovan so we had to move to manually take them out to defend SM. It was an epic battle to say the least. We didn’t take klovan, but we got the trebs! Keep in mind this was really late last night. People were starting to doze off since it was mostly NA players with backup from other borderlands for a last stand SM defense. As you can see there is an FA, ICoa, KnT, choo, CDS, GGSH presence.

See that BG pugs? They focus fire!

That was some epic battles, we got in SM lords room quite a few times, needed just a bit more presence and we’d have taken it sooner. Was very close, good fights to the bitter end.

I had to do it without my boss walking by :-P, so yes, it was very ninja-esque posting.

And here I typed out a 4 paragraph post ON MY IPHONE at work, complimenting both BG and TC for the fights on BG Map, as well as everyone who listened to Purp Nurp and Myself to create some awesome multi-guild coordination. But, its gone into thin air!

So.. Thanks all the Rall players who assisted us last night in BG map!

Caedas [CDS] is a hardcore WvW guild (5 scheduled nights a week) that does dungeon/farming in our off hours! Both for alt leveling (we have a few altoholics) and for gold farming! (for WvW upgrades/siege) and for those close to legendary (about 20 members with 7 already having them) !
