There is a reason why I rarely visit the other subforums. This is my home now. I feel safe here, not being surrounded by kitten….I mean casuals. I like how we have the most fashionable players here, that know what to do and not QQ. I know we can survive the onslaught of casuals, nerfs and unnecessary changes.

All I know if I quit this game I will do so riding lupi into the devs office with both middle fingers raised high yelling “The dungeon forums sends its regards”

I am expecting them to make it so melee assist is permanently on,so that way it makes melee and skipping irritating. I don’t know why, I’m just expecting it

I do not know why but everytime I see this I cringe in pain just thinking about what is going to happen. It pains me to think of what they will change or “fix” next.

I have to say the only reason I come on the forums is for swifty.

Let me put this in the most possibly polite way I can right now. STOP COMPLAINING. IT DOES NOT HARM YOU SO DO NOT PAY ANY ATTENTION TO IT. If you want to do it your own way, then do it. Do not force your opinion onto others as it is considered rude and can actually be a reportable offence.

This makes running dungeons a lot more entertaining for me for some reason. Just Pugging or running in an organised group, I play the song “Everything is Awesome” from the lego movie.

What mob, object or fluffy melon has killed you the most in dungeons?

Mine would have to be this thing, just because kitten this thing. I would just be running along then BAM! I am dead. Need to look where I am going more xD

Let me type up my tale of woe for you while I procrastinate on getting my assignment that is due in 10 hrs done.

I recently got back into guild wars 2 about 3 weeks ago. I heard about the changes in April and wanted to see what exactly had happened. This was the first time logging on for me since the Christmas event. Another factor for me getting back into the game was the fact that I had played Wildstar for a bit before that as well, and could not stop thinking how bad the combat system sucked compared to this game. So not worth the money for that game. So I came back, am levelling up 2 new alts (a thief and an ele) while running dungeons and trying to improve my gameplay. I adopted the meta (I used to be a PHIW casual) because I realised that the meta is a meta for a reason, and that the meta builds were better than what i was previously running. So now I just stick around in game trying to improve myself and level alts while being guildless and friendless since all my old friends stopped playing, same with my guildies.

Now no more procrastinating for me.

i have mine zoomed all the way out. you could have it zoomed in a tiny bit, and still have it zoomed out pretty far. Just gotta find the balance for it. Also look at the animations and stuff that the boss is doing, or what the mobs are doing. If you are having trouble fighting the vines in a group, try and lure one away and fight it solo. Also bring A LOT of condition cleanse.

Fight was too easy. It needs to be buffed. Did not even die once. Just have to watch for the mechanics and learn to dodge.

i found it oddly hilarious when I just ran AC and was asked if this was my first time doing it. A person using twilight, with dungeon master title on, only one meleeing the bosses and staying alive. All because i decided to not skip a cutscene because i wanted to refill my drink. Good laughs.

Guys look, Kasmeer is cheating by using reflections in the living story instance. Too strong, please nerf. Obviously hacking.

I also believe in full nomads altruistic healing as the only viable guard build in pve

why do people always complain about something being too hard or if people have found a way to do it easily they call it an expoit (which in 99% of cases on these forums is not an exploit, but proper use of game mechanics). It was designed the way it was for a reason. If you think otherwise learn how to become a game designer and design your own game with how you think the dungeons should be.

ermagherd ervehryone knows LoS and Stacking is cheating. like seriously, who would ever stack? only pros range and fight the bosses the way they were meant to be fought.

I was a phiw casual once. I tried to explain my ways, but then I thought, if you can’t beat em, join em. then i became a phiw on a different level. i play the meta builds, and i like it now. i find it much more enjoyable. so i still play how i want, i just do it so it is beneficial to everyone in my party

My warrior that i have been running dungeons on lately

so i was running around on the new ele that i have made and during the process of levelling up, i thought about the idea of trying to do lupi with a group of players that are not level 80. say like a group of 60s, or even 30s. has anyone ever attempted it before? and would it be even possible?

well i was first gonna do barbie girl, but the mere thought of seeing lupi and the song barbie girl at the same time brought me to being immobilised by laughter

it is more comfortable for my play style. the passive regen usually heals me up while i am attacking lupi. my main problems lie with the fact that i do not move around enough to stop the swarms from attacking or do not wall lupi properly. but i am up for taking advice

Mainly that I really really really really really really really REALLY hate locusts. And the song Caramelldansen (the song I have been listening to 3 hrs straight trying to solo this guy).

oh crap. i am actually around this time for the return of the prophet. i can feel the permanent headache coming on….

So I ran a pug for arah p2 earlier because I wanted to get it done quickly instead of spending an hour in it trying to solo and fail on lupi (can get him nearly to phase 3 now). So the group I joined was p2 “experienced” zerk only. Thinking this was going to be a group that melees, I joined since you know, experienced and zerkers. Belka went down quick. Abom quick as well. Got to lupi and they stack in the ranged spot. Me thinking they are gonna blast might then run in I stack with them. The fight starts, I run in and am the only one to melee. After a few minutes one of the pugs says “lol nub, trying to melee. Only experience people range”. Me being the charming person I am decide to reply with, " I r great sword mesmer now"(note, I was on warrior). Ran out of combat, changed my skills so I had frenzy on my bar, ran back in and only pressed the 4 skill on my great sword and 3 skill on Axe. Occasionally I said activating timewarp and used frenzy. When they died in phase 2 (at about 55% health) I just went back to melee and got kicked from the group for not resetting so they could rez when lupi had about 20% health left.

Starting to lose hope in pugs again. First few runs back after my break from gw2 were good. The quality is dropping a lot tho.

I have my level 20 something thief parked outside arah. Its not that hard if you have a thief or a friend on a thief to run you there

And omfg I just realized that PHIW stood for play how I want (not the smartest) I thought it was a guild that all the white knights joined just to team up and spite us

And I put myself between the high end general player and the min/maxer

I prefer the term “Anti-Casual” over “elitist jerk”
