I just got kicked from an arah p2 that i was selling. felt really bummed out about it, and was watching the lfg system to see if they would sell it when they stole my instance. Got a friend, we got in and kicked them and got our instance back. I am using a proxy from now on.

latest phlunt/pug rant. was trying to tell a pug ele why they should not be using fgs and why frostbow is better now. Apparently according to them #3 and #5 is a dps increase over frost bow

And currently saving up for the fused longbow for my ranger when i get it to max level. All the recent ranger hype has made me feel like leveling one. I am really shocked to see myself as one of the very few leveling rangers not using a bear in PVE content :/

i have learned a valuable lesson today. I should not be allowed to bring my engineer into dungeon runs ever.

2 personal achievements in the past 2 days. finished bolt and got this amount of gold randomly

look what dropped for me today (not in fractals, just earlier on)

arah p1 and p2 gives 3 gold, path 3 gives 1.5 gold. Path 4 gives 3 gold as well, but takes a lot longer to complete. It is faster and more efficient to do p1 and p3 of Ascalonian Catacombs since it gives the same reward as p4 in a shorter time period. While it is 10.5 gold for doing 5 paths, the extra path from AC is faster than doing arah p4.

ugh so bored. currently waiting to be trialed for DnT since Ren as a dungeon running guild is dead.

the first 3 paths if you are in a good group can be done in under an hour. Just watch a few guides on the paths and all should be fine. Pugs can generally get it done in about 20-30 minutes per run for these paths. P4 is one of the longer paths of the game, takes about 30-40 minutes with a decent group. You are better off doing AC 1 and 3 over arah p4, shorter and you get the same amount of gold (1.5 each path)

If it honestly bothers you that much do not do the event; Simple. Nothing is forcing you to do it. People choose to do with their time what they want, even if it is mind numbingly boring. It is not even the best champ farm in the game, just the easiest.

And just a hint, you should use less swearing, people will take you more seriously. Because currently you look like a crazy old cat lady with that many kittens :P

what i do on my engi when i am bored

pugging a lvl 49 fractal since none of my friends that do fracs are on. our team comp is 3 guards, 1 engi and 1 mesmer. i think we need more reflects.

anyone had it for the ascalon fractal the npcs do not spawn at all? just happened to me in a 49 fractal.

also if the person carrying the hammer dcs on clffside, you lose the hammer permanently

got hit by a few of those bolts in phase 3 while doing it off wall and died ;_;

update on the 40 fractal. my luck continues and holds on

update on my game life. just completed the Gift of Bolt. need t6 mats and the precursor then i am done. in the middle of a daily 40 fractal. no good loot from the 49 fractal.

I did Arah p3 a few days ago with my guild. We had three first timers with us, with maybe a total of 10 runs spread across the two “experienced” party members (across 2 years of play-time). All of us were surprised how easy it was. There was hardly a fight that stopped us, and the few that did went down easily on 2nd try.

I do remember how tough Arah explorable was at the start, and then it got a little easier when we learned to play properly. But it never felt this easy. Did they change Arah explorable and made it super easy?

so I was practicing arah on my mesmer earlier today. and i learned that i am shockingly bad at playing my mesmer.

i second having our old players fail thread back. it was the best around, and nothing was going to bring it down

i try to be active, but can’t think of much to say or post about :p

looks like my luck for fractals continue. 3 fractal skins, 1 ascended weapon box and now this in the space of 2 weeks

i don’t play thief so i can’t help you out.

Two issues with this. 1st is, This game is designed to reward those who play more than others. Someone who can log in everyday and do dungeon runs should have more gold/tokens/rewards then those who cant. I am a Casual player and I have come to accept this fact. I don’t have the time to devote to this game to get a legendary or all ascended armor right away and I AM OKAY WITH THIS. It will take me a LONG time to complete the collections especially the dungeon token ones because I don’t play a lot of dungeons when i have time for the game but….. I STILL ENJOY THIS GAME.

With a start like this it’s hard to take you seriously, but i’ll bite it.

you have to wait hours to see an actual real run in fractal 30-50 or CM or CoE (not to mention ARAH)…

i just pugged COE, Arah, Fotm 40 and 49 today (don’t do cm because not a real big fan of that dungeon) and all the groups literally took less than 5 minutes to fill under the usual berserker meta only crap that seems to kitten people off for some strange reason. and if you claim that the berserker meta only is not an actual run, then i claim that all welcome, bring whatever class you want lfgs are not actual runs.

thanks for the info guys. that is good to know. also good to know that the pugs try to reflect his spinning attack when its useless :P

okay question time. for the uncategorized fractal boss Old Tom, why do I see people put reflects up there? does it actually reflect his attacks? (because on my screen it looks like it does not)

It’s far from optimal in pve and really not wanted if you can take something else.

Pretty much this for dungeons. 1 guard is all you need in a group. If played correctly it can apply aegis, reflects, stability and regen and cleanse conditions. This makes it great for a team, if it is by itself. Instead of a second guard an ele is usually really helpful for stacking might and other buffs you get from blasting. If you want more info on dungeon guard, go to the dungeon subforum. I don’t know much about WvW or PvP, so get information regarding thaybarea from other people more experienced

so lupi is being that much of a kitten tonight that he is not even using lube. 3 sets of 4 locusts right before the phase transition between 1 and 2. and his ranged attack hitting me in melee range when trying to solo. and add in 2 or 3 double kicks.

Seems like it is to me. People put effort in to find out the information and what is needed for this patch. People complain about how they use this information to get the items beforehand and make a profit off it. That is the heart of this, the profit/cost of the items. Pretty sure if it was only karma items being needed for collections then people would not care how early they got the information.

And the information was given to members of the guild wars 2 community for the sole reason that they spread that information and get publicity for it. So I don’t see how its insiders information unless WP, dulfy and Mattvisual are making huge profits off of the information they were given

My brain hurts from the sheer stupidity I have read on this thread. Honestly people stop being a bunch of kittening whiners. You’re complaining because why? You did not get to make a profit off this when some people did? Oh they have information that I don’t because they look at guides and previews to the patch and put more effort in than I did. How dare people be like that.

Oh my god he worked more and put more effort in than I did, and got paid more than me for it, that is so unfair and my boss should compensate me for it. This is how most people on this thread sound like to me.

Favorite is arah due to it being where I learnt to be a better player and I have the most fun

Least favorite would be SE because I just absolutely hate dredge

So I went and read the living story subforum. After gouging my eyes out from all the QQing about fractals somehow being forced upon them (I don’t see how it is being forced) I left and am really surprised out how whiny the general playerbase can be :/
