ANd to Mishi Did you think how op the seigerazor is he can make your siege untouchable and it is superior. you can down alot of people and siegerazor grant a giant hp boost to you anyway.

Can you people try to least listen to the suggestion i swear you poster never want to have change. This is the First time that there is a battleground as large and 24 hr. ANd has 3 team Oo that is a feat. A giant mountain leap for mmo.

So why have him stand there making a tower full of siege and players invulnerable?
Seems like a server would start event, cap a tower, and just leave 1 person or no one in the tower for 4hours of the NPC guarding it.

Please don’t take everyone’s opinion which is against yours as them being opposed to any change. Take a look at it and think like others do and realize some of the ideas weren’t thought out well, or didn’t provide enough specifics for a lot to agree with you.

Think out your ideas, post them, along with specifics of how you think things should work. Then you might be able to explain your point of view much better to others and get a different response.

Like if Siegeraizer will stay for 4hours and make all siege superior and unable to be taken down, then I see it as completely pointless.

However if he stays for 15 minutes and 90% of players on your side have to be within a certain range and he does it I could be ok with that. (Including if new players for your team enter a map, the # would increase as to how many need to be at the NPC. To avoid people abusing it.)

As for the JQBL, as someone who was there, SoR just completely outnumbered us. When you can hit bay and garri at the same time (one of which was apparently a golem rush from what people were yelling in team chat) and outnumber the forces at both sides, you really should be able to take it all.
Fun last stand in bay though. We rushed a superior arrow cart, and our leader said he got about 40 kills with it before it was destroyed. Oh and we held long enough to rez off the waypoint, that was pretty great too. I was getting ready to warbanner the keep lord, but then about 7 SoR came in from behind me and that was that

How Many did JQ have on last night when I was in DB prior to taking it.
I don’t remember anyone from JQ having an outmanned buff. However SoR had 3 guilds coordinating.

While Caedas kept JQ busy in DB.
Fear and Helioz pushed on Garrison, and Hills. (With Golems and mesmers portaling them.)
Wasn’t until after hills fell that we actually pushed instead of distracting at Bay.

The thing is JQ’s main force was defending Inner bay without siege hitting it for the most part, while SoR was split having a team for distracting.
Once Garrison was lost you had no easy waypoint to use after Hills was under attack. Followed by Bay Inner, which by then all JQ had left bay to defend Sunnyhill and Craigtop.

Orange swords

Raising the numbers to create orange swords does nothing but allow more “zerg” tactics and lessen the need for smaller groups to work to ninja places.

In my opinion its a bad move.

To the OP, did you have regular siege or superior sieged placed?
Also please mark the locaitons, and be aware there are places you can place siege that 99% of attacks will not hit.

Normal Siege damage is ok, however with a heal or two it is bearable. Though superior siege if you have it manned and set right will destroy pesky players.

Not to mention Ranger pets and mesmer clones still coming onto walls, and behind gates. So please if you are going to complain about 1 type of skill vs siege, make sure to include all. ANet has nerfed AOE’s to being nearly useless for anything but killing siege. Not to mention they are planning a nerf to AOE damage overall already.

SoR has always, and will probably always, play the map they are in, and play for the fights on the map, if there are no fights, or the other servers scurry off to another map, we’ll just go there. Winning is fun for some I understand that, but it seems SoR has gotten numb to the ppt war, or the coverage war. Heck even when we sat at 500+ ppt in our last few weeks of T2, when the “Mass SBI Exodus” of 2013 was happening, we we’re bored, we look for the fights. Winning by a ton or losing, we just look for the fights.

You get a +1 from me on this.

It is true, winning or losing SoR doesn’t play PPT only games. A lot of the main WvW guilds LOVE brawling more then playing the PPT game. True we do consider PPT however a lot of us like brawling more. A lot of us look/play for the Fun.

SoR has been like this for a long time. A lot of players play for the fights and fun, and less play for the score or to win.

I guess speaking for myself I find it funny when people complain about losing, or brag about winning a match. I find enjoyment in brawling.

I propose that All aoe skills cannot effect outer edge defender such as walls and siege that are carefully placed in turn the attacker can only be hit by PvP player on ground or by siege on wall

Again this effect outer wall edge ish.

Place your siege correctly and it wont be AOE’d.

Oh and Another option would be that when ever siegerazer cap a tower or what ever he does he stays there for 4 hrs to defend that one cap. Additionally you are unable to place siege in that cap. Siegerazor give you five to defend with last four hrs and 30 min superior of course to help defender to get some upgrade and such so it does not get recap just because of weak walls.

Umm, no.
If severely limited by siege you place while being slammed by the enemy it’ll hurt you more then anything when they are trying to retake your tower.

Oh and can we get dragons event to razed keep n such like a dynamic event This would be awsome plus the dragon give 20 wvw badge to all that made an effort to kill him or her Or how about randomly attack borderland or home portal. So that when the server is fightning him other server will backdoor capping tower n keep such.

Mainly this is to keep server zerg from zerging 100%. of course the dragon is gonna award awsome stuff.

Keep Dragons and PvE to PvE maps. No need to bring more PvE into WvW. You have grub, worms, a giant tree, ect…

Only a WvW player knows how important it is your keep lord is Resurrected 20+ times in 1 fight.

Only a WvW player would know what it feels like to be backed into a corner by x3 the numbers of his team, and still hold out for a 3-8 hour fight in a lord room without siege.

Doesn’t sound half bad. All depends on how its handled. If like FEZ Ill be checking it out. If the screen is like TERA then no thanks. Really couldn’t get past not having free mouse movement on my screen while in combat.

Yes. Look to games like Lineage 2, they lived many years before going F2P, and had a ton of hacking, botting, scripting, ect… even in PvP.

(Not saying its doing well but it lasted for years with people doing things that shouldnt have been done.)

Not having the numbers, seems to be a very popular excuse for all of the 3 servers in this match to use when they get hit hard.

Just JQ BL last night the only server in the match who had outmanned was SoS.
Not JQ, not SoR.

<3 SF and many others. We had some great fights all night. One of my favorites was when JQ tried for Sunny, and we would push out while having a SoR group behind cutting off the path to the spawn portal. Not to mention fake portals we used, along with playing around.

We def felt the field ::insert unwanted touches here:: of four guilds last night. Good show, it’s something we’re used to. We got to a point where we counted the ppl in mumble, when someone said 19..I was thinking, “hell, we need a bigger boat.”

You were LATE to the party Jed!
We had to punish SF instead, but we just wanted you to come to the party on time for once!

Haters are gonna hate, and usually the haters will respond with such trollish responses. Even worse, they might attempt to get this thread locked.

But I like feeding trolls, sometimes they are all cute. Other times they get scary which can be fun too.

I just avoid feeding them after midnight.

Women in videogames are no different than men. Other than the natural tendency for nuturing and support roles as well as lowered reaction time due to the females need to multi-task consistently, women are common place in videogames, all aspects and I don’t really think a fancy thread saying men stay out is going to do much good to those seeking attention for being a female in the digital environment.

I see what you did there.
Though you may think most women play support roles, I can name many mmos which the majority of women I knew played Tanks/DPS characters.

Since you decided to put the last crap in your post:
As for lowered reactions, maybe you should rethink that part. Both genders multi-task.
Also if in an MMO with the trinity, the healers/support are very important while doing dungeons, so if their reaction time is slow then wouldn’t your party wipe since you stated most women play nurturing/support roles? Oh wait…reaction times vary per “person” not gender.

Think I’m hostile, I am, it’s just me. I don’t like your shot fired at women being slower reacting then men in games.

i remember women in lineage II…always asking for stuff…i wonder if they do the same in this game because i totally went solo play in this game since i got abandoned in the first month.

Haha. I dislike females who ask for things or use their gender to get crap.
Though I laugh when male friends act like females and get stuff. Silly people.

As for Lineage 2, well I was a DE Archer who wanted her spot to grind.
Also loved my Castles. I miss the open world PvP though.

I am female and I live for WvW. In fact it’s the only part of GW2 which I enjoy.

I have been playing MMOS for years, and I’ve never enjoyed PvE. I always end up PvP’ing. Weather it be leading guilds, Alliances, ect, it’s all for the PvP.

As for my role in WvW, I do anything which is needed.
I do have my commander badge, and can lead the map. I can be in the front lines, provided Im in my bunker built gear, and not zerker gear. I can even be on the defensive, and yak escorting duty…However my special niche is siege. Defensive, and offensive siege.

I love to wipe the enemy, you can ask anyone on TS, they say I have an evil laugh while killing people. I enjoy it. ;P

The only thing about “Players” testing out theory’s is the fact you can’t see who else besides the “test subjects” enter or leave a map at every moment.

Still would like a response form Anet on the queueing issues.

However when I lived in VA I played 11pm-7am on a normal basis.

So I was in a BL last night, it was starting to get late and we were losing players, this is normal. At one point about half of us got the outmanned buff and the other half did not? I had the outmanned buff and had to log for the night. As a test after I left the BL I tried to get back in, I WAS IN THE QUEUE for 20 mins while when I left the BL I had the outmanned buff.

2 things:

Why did only a few of us have the outmanned buff and not everyone? Are only some of us outmanned?

Why was I in the queue when we had the outmanned buff?

I’m sorry but this was not culling. There is something wrong. Being that only some of us had the outmanned buff tells me something is wrong. It was painfully obvious we were outmanned, I have no question there.

I need to learn2fraps, so I can get this stuff and post it as proof. Maybe then we would get some answers.

Things like this are why I don’t understand the Anet not answering.

Makes no sense to have an outmanned buff, along with a Queue.

If entering WvW while guesting on another server you taking that servers wvw spot as “count” goes however you are playing on your server.

Can Arena net confirm or deny this?

I highly doubt this as the queue is per battleground. You would have to be able to join the guested server’s battlegrounds to count towards the total. Were this the case you could completely avoid all queues and put thousands of people in a given battleground by queuing from overflow servers.

Thing is assuming the system is working correctly.

Hince asking for a confirm or deny from Arena net.

Buying a blue commander badge is ok.
However I think there should be “ranks” within commander tags, and colors to identify.

Warmer colors for offensive achievements, cooler colors for defensive, Neutral if both defensive and offensive are equal.

Then again that would require Arena net to add in a whole new concept of rankings on commander badges, and such.

SoR should have taken Hills from JQ light years ago , instead they want to take our bay when JQ is trying to take it as well. SoR must be too scared to fight JQ.

Funny thing is last night JQ was attacking bay, as did SoR. However SoR didn’t send their full force, and had forces on AH.

JQ only withdrew from AB to defend AH. Followed by all of SoR hitting AB.

SoS would portal bomb or push right before waypoint was able to be hit, so after a few times of that SoR set a ram on the waypoint in AB, and layered AOE’s on it. Thats when tides turned and SoR took AB. Then we left it to go back to the north to deal with JQ.

So no, it wasnt just SoR attacking Bay and not hills. We were attacking both at the same time. Even ate some popcorn on AB platform while JQ pushed SoS in AB inner.

Still all in all, it was a fun 3 way fight for bay. Im sure everyone got tons of badges off each other.

The Tier ranks were meant so servers with less WvW centric people don’t get paired against servers that have more wvw centric players. So all can have fun.

Some play WvW only in GW2, other do PvE and WvW, some sPvP, ect.. The tiers were mainly to sort out who faces who so eventually all have close matches, and no complete blow outs. Starting next match it’ll be blow out matches again for a while.

It’s not the queue its self that is annoying. It’s the fact it is so buggy.
I can watch guildies Queue and sit in 1 map running around killing time for 2hours, and other guildies queue’ing in and getting in within 1 hour. All during the same time frames and even same maps.

Just a tip some of on SoR do:

We Queue for WvW in low pop zones/mists. Not LA or Orr.
Those tend to lead to higher Queue times, and if you map hop while Queue’d sometimes it bugs out the Queue. (Or at least thats what we suspect, since it seems to happen tons to a lot of us.)

Swirling winds works as intended per Arena Net.

Don’t want to babysit incoming treb/cata fire, then I suggest don’t do it.
If someone gets on you about it, tell them to make an Elementalist or get off your case.

Depends on what the patch is, however from playing many MMOS, I’ve learned not to rely on a company to make a patch which will fix everything. But to rely on a company to make a patch which fixes some things, breaks others, and such.

Arena Net stated a boost to single target DPS skills, and a nerf to AOE ones.
No date for that stated.

Necro, or Grenade Engi. I would say Staff Ele, but our AOE’s do less damage then the other 2. :x

Add orbs back, however give them the current “outmanned buff”, and add the old orb buff as the “new outmanned” buff.

Thats been suggested for months, even well before removal of orbs. Will it happen? Doubtful.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind some Monthly/Daily’s for WvW only.
(Anet needs to realize they have players who ONLY play WvW.)
Meaning some don’t give 1 thought to Dungeons, especially Fractals.

Though over top ANYTHING I would rather Anet take time, and think before making patches.(Or even stated nerfs/buffs, ect…) So they make a calm, collected, informed decision, instead of just pulling a decision out from where the sun doesn’t shine.

Update: No WvW Rating Reset

I can see the reasoning behind this.
However I think resetting all the ratings to allow the system to play back out, will cause complete weeks of some servers dominating others after the Feb 1st matches.
(More so then the matches right now that are blow out, due to server ranks having to be reworked in the system again.)

If resetting all of the ratings to 0.
I suggest after the Feb 1st match, Arena Net implements 24hours matches for a week.

What’s going to happen on the first is everyone’s point hit 0.
All close matches will gain less ratings, while low tier blow out matches will gain more.
Followed by lesser populated worlds who blew out a lower tier match, being paired against higher tier/populated servers who didn’t blow out matches. (Aka Lopsided matches)

It will happen for a while, and there will probably be many QQ threads posted.
