So true, i play wvw and I could do my daily within my style of playing easy, by the time ive gone and done events in low levels areas.. kill 40 whatever, how much of my time will I actually get to play doing what I enjoy? Never done an fractals and Im crap at jumping…. so not only do I not get to finish a monthly im not going to finish a daily either.

GW2 a game where you play how YOU want to play.. not if you actually need items its not (but ofc i keep forgetting, wvw dont need good gear thats just for those that play pve)

RS maybe will lose, but i hope one of the upper servers will kitten your kittenty server in the kitten till death. I’ve never seen so many arrogant guilds on one server together. By the looks of it we have someone on RS you likes to sabotage. Places rams inside to use up supply and max out the siege numbers. He/she/it pretends to be in one of the RS guilds, only to discredit them. Sad story, sad individual. :-(
So if you run into less siege weapons than you usually expect, it is probably because we can’t build any more due to that clown building a flame-ram grave yard somewhere on that map… it would be nice if you could hold your thought/attack until the rams are gone, so we can give you the fight you expect… ;-)

Thats what I thought when I saw all those rams along the outer wall stairs in Valley in EB, least we cleared those for you, shame someone has use those kind of tactics for an advantage, if you had let us get a bit closer we could have got rid of the rest… jk :P

Well now i have a little over 24hrs to decide my Euro friends or my NA ones.. whichever it is, will always feel like i made the wrong decision. This really has just emphasized instead of going forward into GW2 we really went backwards in so many ways. District changing to build templates, all advances in GW1 to be left out in GW2, funny how we took all those for granted.

Such a shame, Piken was one of the very few servers that had worked on building their community, but I suppose its was like inviting a few friends to the party and it went viral, so many party crashers. This was EU main role playing server that were pretty good in WvW (toned it down), pity that those that dont participate in that kind of game play had to ruin it for others.

Yep you made me mad a few times (lol, ok lots!!) , but this is not something I enjoy reading. For those that joined hoping for a free ride, Piken didnt need you.

I have to thank Piken for getting Gandara to do something up until 2 weeks ago was near impossible, people working together. Seeing 90+ people on TS from a server gives you a warm glowy feeling (over the top maybe, but you get the meaning).

When things started to wrong at the start there was so many times EB was outmanned, but people kept at it, plugged away. Our WvW Guilds (they have all been named at some point and im scared to leave some off, but you know who you are <3) have been amazing and stepped up, so much respect goes to them.

And like someone from AR said “Good luck for both servers, hope to see you again in the future (Piken not now ! :p).” (have to agree on last part 100%)

Anyway Good Luck from me and hope your reset goes to plan.
(Oh and please dont send any of those free loaders that unfortunately transferred into Piken to Gandara before transfers end please)

Well all i can say is we couldnt place any Ac’s down on the wall in that area, nothing more to add, coz if you actually read the rest of it, like i said, the bad kitty helped later. Im not the one causing bad feelings, im just responding to being called a troll about what I saw and what happened when someone tried to place ac’s.
Also on that post on community forums it went… yep must be a gandaran thing (meaning the 1st night), 2nd night i took the SS to prove even we didnt do it, nothing in thread was even hostile.

Sacrx that was me that posted a screenshot of the 2nd night of the rams going down in the keep, which did unfortunately cause an over siege problem that day, but since somehow we managed to save the keep.. not sure how but the rams were eventually destroyed, Im not going to post the screenshot on these forums, coz that baddie RG kitty that did it, also helped us save it later.. if you like me to send you it, feel free to ask.

Was so looking forward to the Guesting and meeting up with my GW1 guildmates that from the start realised that due to the time zones on servers, that i couldnt play on and american server for most of my playtime, but they found it hard on a euro, was hoping Guesting would let me have day trips out to play with them again…… very disappointed is an understatement.

Before anyone comments i can move, I dont want to move to a NA server just to spend 2 hrs online at the same time, also not prepared to leave the new friends ive made behind here either..

Really hope at some point this will change.. I remember being only allowed a certain amount of transfers in the early days of GW1, and how much that improved over the years, just a shame some of the basics we had take for granted GW1 were never thought to be implemented here .

All I can say is get used to the Queues, with the end of free transfers coming you are going to be stuck with most of those Guilds and PvE’ers looking for an easy time. I actually feel sorry for the real people of Piken since most of those that have transferred in are not Role Players so instead of building a Role Playing Community the band wagons will have ruined all that hard work.

As for the Gandarans still fighting the hordes, deepest respect goes out to you.
Something at least came out of this for Gandara, most people now are using the server TS and its actually started to bring our community together, instead of small Guilds doing their own thing they are uniting and working togther.

ahion, i think you will find that ogrewatch was a lot weaker version than the one AR battled for and won in an epic siege that lasted over many hours and many trebs and lots of armour repair bills. The gate that golem took down a little wolf could have huffed and puffed his way in. AR also faced us at primetime, so much fun and when it was finally lost, we couldnt keep the presence up with piken taking towers behind, i felt was a great evenings entertainment. (some great treb placements btw.. so far to fight to get them down)

My respect for you has gone up a 110% this week even tho i still think you reproduce at an alarming rate :P Looking forward to meeting you again on better terms.

Remove JP’s from wvw, make them all into one separate instance, problem solved, you can all go play with yourselves in there to your hearts content whilst wvw is left to those that want to do that and score points for their server.

quoted for the truth… jp should at least have its own map/team chat coz i know for one that i dont care if your being ganked in there when we could do with more presence on the battlefield.

How about removing free transfers or giving those that do transfer a cool down time before they can WvW, that stops the 100% people moving since they wont know if they can complete the areas needed the following week and stop the band wagon guilds at least playing for a week? some might not be so eager to keep jumping servers if they cant fight in WvW for a week. The top tiers only get the queues since people always run to the easiest place first.

I was a big fan of taking the 100% out of WvW, but if i hadnt been “forced” to go there I wouldnt have bothered and now i rarely leave since it actually one of the most fun areas in the game.

To those that are true Pikens, how much fun you think we having atm?

Also when all the map is green and we really cant be assed to keep paying out for rams what exactly do you do?

Yep, im prob going to be trolled and flamed, but tbh atm I really dont care, all thats happened on Piken is some of T1 guilds bailed out of Blacktide and transfered freely to PS. to help you get to T1 and that will happen, but on your short climb up there, just remember these Guilds have joined (rejoined, i dont know, i just play for fun so have no idea where they started) on free transfers and when they get bored they will move on, leaving you in the same position as some of the other Servers that are in freefall and not having a nice time in WvW til they hit a tier WvW becomes fun again.

As for RG, thank you for targeting us straight up, you came to Gandara a week ago to GvG some old friends, some of you fought along side us in various maps in your down time, so do really think that a golem rush of all maps was needed? 5mins into reset and tbh we didnt stand a chance, was it fun? not for those that were actually playing WvW, I personally swapped maps because I realised EB was a lost cause to see even more golems, at that point I logged out, and since all I do is WvW looks like il be taking a holiday this week, because this tier is now unbalanced, no one denies that bumping into TUP is like hitting a brick wall at 100mph, what actually made me smile in a way as i looked at map before I logged out, that in EB AR was actually taking all your towers as you so gallantly made sure we knew our place.

Btw before anyone thinks im talking for all Gandarans, Im just some random that actually enjoyed WvW, but I for one wont be letting you farm badges from me and im going to save myself a fortune by now not upgrading and placing siege just for those roaming warbands (organised zergs) to just Golem rush it.

Good luck in your climb to T1, roll on next week when there is actually a fight. And to those Gandarans feeling demoralised, its one week, let them have their fun and next week we will be back in business, we learn new tactics every day, and some of you WvW guilds will have some victories, we got where we were by fighting and learning and we will continue to do that.

for jalmood, piken isnt free from exploiters either since Ive come across a few solo Pikens in T3 unbreached Towers. Unfortunately all servers have them, Im proud of the way Gandarans report what we see on our servers, and most of the commanders ive seen usually tell the map to leave any towers this has happened in and to not defend them.

This is Gandara Eternal BG most days, we have a few Commanders that dont mind coming to Eternal like Ezekiel, but mostly its a bunch of randoms chatting in team, you dont see us complaining on the forums when our towers get taken when we are out numbered or we have no leader.. thats the way the game plays, sometimes you queue to get any action and others days you wish you had queued. As for the xmas day massacre tbh its what i expected after xmas eve event, but then again most of towers/keeps xmas day must have been PvD so maybe pot and kettle comes to mind.

AR had the biggest zerg’s id seen in ages last night (New Year Eve), tho I must admit some of them did appear the worse for wear. At 11pm gmt we were so outnumbered it was funny, but I also saw a lot of Piken about too. After the big presence of the AR zerg, people started calling in extras to join EBG hence where our numbers came from last night. You seem to belittle everything that we do/try, if a WvW Guild takes a keep its because it had no leader defending, if we take a tower its because we out numbered you.

Gandara may seem like an unorganised lowlife rabble to you, but I have to thank you for this since any negative comment about Gandara always gets people working together. And after reading some of the posts here over the last couple of days, I actually left Eternal (with a few others) and joined some group that wanted to start on Piken BG, maybe its my reading comprehension that made me feel I had to do that, maybe some of it was meant to be joking but even after re-reading some of the posts Ive yet to see the sense of humour.

Anyway whatever the score at the end, we would have tried our best with what we had and I dont think many Gandarans could disagree with that.

Shame that it always ends up the same.. Golems marching in soon as outmanned shows up. Not like a zerg of 50+ needed it… glad some of you are having fun.

Funniest thing Ive seen so far, 40+ zerg yelling for blood and revenge.. present pops up to the left all stop to kill toys and get presents before the revenge zerg gets going again.

So best way to stop a zerg hope a present pops up… tho dont put any siege down in open areas coz those toys do more dmg to it than any group ive seen.

In GW1 farming and speedclearing was frowned upon, adding more foes, “fixing skills” was the norm for us after a while, the difference was that when a nerf happened there was always a way around it, and maybe that was part of the fun. GW2 is a bit harder to work around the “fixes”, you just have to keep moving areas.

Doing anything now that takes over 30 mins will see DR hit, no way around that, unless ofc you go fractals which seems to be the only place that is free from this “fix” for the moment, you want good drops again its fractals, you want something good from a chest, yep again its fractals. Lets not talk about all the T6 drops….
Expect this to be “fixed” at some point because its not working as intended.

And unfortunately Wolfgang, I do think that repeating a story line quest to farm it can be seen as an exploit, since its not what it was designed for, btw im not being negative since I did my fair share of them too, til I realised that we were exploiting the quest to farm it, which is not how the game was supposed to be played. ( I stopped incase it was deemed bannable). Also its not fractals so again your not playing in the right area.

So basically Steel Tides wasnt nerfed, it has been “fixed” so is now working as intended, its just a shame that so much effort goes into fixing farming areas when there is deff something wrong with the drop rate in Orr which ofc is not a priority worthy of a fix.

I waited over 2 months for 2 vista and 2 PoI’s, but today I finally did it (well my server did), and fighting for it deff made it more worth while. There was a moment I thought i was going to come away with still needing 1 vista and PoI….. did i breathe a sigh a relief when the rest of map showed up
Only reason you need to complete is for a legendary and if you still farming for it, then have fun and in time it will come.

Btw, I started off by hating WvW and even tho sometimes I wanted to throw my PC across the room, today was worth it. Im glad I didnt swap servers.

What I’d pay for new content/expansion/campaign in GW1 …..

People may have complained about the cap level not being higher but it was never done, unlike some games lately. Also those dungeons were fun.

The problem is when/if they log back in, in 6months time their gear will be outdated, they will be undergeared so will need to do the grind that they left for in the first place, so they will prob log back out again. Because in less than 3months time all those that wanted progression will have their new shiny stuff and will be back to complaining again, so the gap will be bigger than just those “few” extra points that is now.

Or ofc they need money from cash shop, since most people are using trans stones for armour, best way to make money, bring in ugly armour with better stats and people will buy more stones I know, very cynical.

I havent stopped playing, but im not getting on the gear treadmill since so many of you have said that it isnt needed because its just a few points, just remember that when people join your team… its just a few points what does it matter?

Tbh when I found out I had to go into WvW to get the rest of my missing %, I decided that I wouldnt bother, since I hate PvP. Then some weeks down the line a friend made me go, I now have 99% , ofc Ive had 99% now for over 2mths since Gandara seem to refuse to go RED…. missing 2 vistas and 2 PoI’s, but they will come.. I hope :P

It can be fun, at first I just followed the big groups, I managed to complete my first ever monthly… and tonight I actually joined a team that went off to do different objectives to the main zerg and had a blast.. ofc I gave the other teams a few badges of honor but I got a few myself too. And because they cant yell NUB in chat… just think of it as being killed by an NPC

Max armour should be easy to obtain, but rare/shiny highly sought after shouldnt… you have to give something for people to work for, but not make it so they get an advantage.
I have no issue with fractals having ascended gear or need it to go further, I have issue that the max armour is now set in a place where people like me cant/dont want to go.

That’s what I’m trying to do. We can’t spend our ENTIRE days on the forums, but we try to make an effort to take a break from development as much as we can to address your questions/ideas/comments/concerns.

And the reality is, you guys go for stretches of time without seeing anything new from us (patch to patch)….so even though we’re making a ton of progress, we can’t show it until it’s ready. Which means there can be long gaps of communication if we’re not careful. But things are still happening, features are being added. We just can’t talk about them until they’re ready.

This im hoping is why they have not responded, once they are ready with whatever they are going to do next we will know…. I just hope thats its not too long.

Everyone is still going over the same thing, I dont care if it takes you a 100 times to get twilight armour, that is your choice, you want the look then work for it, you want a lengendary weapon that shows how much effort you put into it, thats fine too.

This all comes down to added stats.. however small its still there, i like that people have a different choice in what to do, but to add stats is just not something I brought the game for. The better armours should be in the hard to finish dungeons, adding extra stats its whats causing this issue, if they add agony to pve content then people will need to do this..

All that happens with added stats is the mobs get it too.. your not stronger your just thinking you are when you press H. I played GW1 for too long, I liked getting new armour choices, I liked mixing them about, if i needed to get rep to get one.. I did it, but that didnt make me stronger, everyone can say that PvE skills added were the added stats.. that also changed the game.. but now you can have max dmg with just running thro the story there, this was done for why? GW1 was all about no one person having an advantage over the other, but if you wanted THAT weapon/armour then go work for it.

Btw i havent been in fractals or have dungeon armour, again thats my choice.

I watch it, I want that game.. I so much wanted that game, then reality sinks in, I look at the icon on my pc and my dreams fade away.

May seem over the top for some, but makes me feel better knowing at least one other feels the same way. Ive read most of the conspiratorial posts, and a little part of me hopes there is truth in some.. that no one can change their belief’s, their pride, their sense of direction in such a short time.. its the silence that is prob the hardest and the most damaging as it stands atm.

In all honesty its time to leave these forums to those that want this"progression" .
The “I want mores” can plead for all they want, I wont be asking for a refund (ive invested time into 3 lvl 80 chars), I will still check here occasionally just to see if they get what they want, but i do think its time for us all to move on and let those that are enjoying play.. lets see what happens in 3mths time, but lets do it from a distance.

What is being posted now wont make Anet change their minds, but when everyone has their little “shiny’s” and they all move on maybe, I say maybe because I can dream, Anet will realize what actually made people play one of their games for 7yrs is not the sequel they created.

All I would like is something posted, a video stating what their agenda for GW2 is, so more people like myself are not suckered into buying something that bears no resemblance to what was promised.

From my personal view I played GW1 for 6yrs on and off, I had my times where I went to look for something better/different. I always ended up going back. I tried WoW Aion, hey I even tried PWI… usually for 3mths and this is the stage im at with GW2

Someone said to me, this isnt GW1 this is GW2, a different game, so after being told/hyped that this would be GW1 with all the things they couldnt do with the old engine, dont hate on the people that have reacted the way they have.

The difference is after being away for 3mths at a time, I could just jump back into GW1, if i take a break from GW2 will I be able to do that? Highly doubtful, so the chances are some wont be back.. the difference from what they left to whatever present will be to vast, they wont be able to just jump back into any new content.

I personally dont care about legendary/dungeon armour being hard to obtain, that is something for someone to work for as long it it give no extra benefits over an armour I can obtain differently, if i like an amour/weapon I wilI work for it.. but I dont want to work for something because I have too..

In all honesty GW1 spoilt us, and this is not GW1.

I have to agree, some of us are mourning, going thro all the stages that entails, before we take that step to move on.
I do hope in a couple of months when some of these people havent logged in I hope Anet actually asks them why. Forums are not a good place to get your point across and I would prefer another way of expressing why I feel let down.

I used a combination or all. My guild conquered a few things I needed, a color change did most of the rest and I realized all I needed was within 1 server’s control so I hopped for the remaining 3 PoI’s.

Do not forget that 100% exploration is an end-game achievement and NOT intended to be easy. It’s also a required part of a legendary weapon, you should not take 100% for granted without at least some effort.

So hopping servers makes it less easy and means that you earnt it? Im not trying to flame ( i have friends that swapped servers due to this) , I have no issues about it being earnt or even hard to obtain, but to obtain just it because the abilty to change server is there kind of demeans the whole process.

I personally hate WvW but i do have 99%, if i want that coverted little star next to my name i had to “suck it” as they say, but waiting til you server changes colour or sitting up til 4am in hope that the night cappers get your PoI’s attainable really makes this one of the more pointless titles there is atm.

I’l sit at 99% now because tbh 100% means nothing anymore. If this was to get the PvE’ers into WvW then it failed in my case since its all about my “gang” being bigger than your “gang”.

Wasnt the 7 day transfer done to stop people moving servers because of WvW abuse?

And why would I want to leave all my friends for a week, when I once changed server because of HoM at the beginning and it took me 2 days to get back to the server I came from because it was full.

If you read some of the threads there are people still unable to join their friends because the server is full, this is a risk if you leave at this point.. that you wont get back, all for a tiny star next to your name that you wont be able to show your friends because they are on a different server.

I feel your pain, I’ve been stuck at 99% now for 2mths, just 2 vista and 2 PoI’s, i just need our server to be Red, every week i cross my fingers.. and so far hasnt worked

Tbh I dont want to swap servers else i would have done this ages ago when it was a 5min trip there and back, because I don’t want a Title just because I server hopped , or maybe they can just changed title to “Traveled there, Done that.”

I just put a support ticket in for the same reason, all of a sudden the game is sluggish to the point i cant play, when i logged back in earlier after my “go and chill” i noticed a candy corn node suddenly appear and disappear (my go and chill didnt mean i took anything exotic btw). There are moments when it feels like everything is in slow motion and the sounds also keeps freezing.

Where – was in Orr wen i noticed candy corn node, it deff feels worse in Orr, tho still laggy when i was in Lonars

What – checked the performance out on my PC. everything says is fine.(I have no clue about PC’s my partner looked at it for me) I also went and logged into Aion just to see if it was my PC.. Aion is fine. Also logged into GW1 and everything fine there too. Its just GW2 that is having issues.
