I don’t personally think the “problem” (if people find it a problem) is the number of skimpy vs non-skimpy armour sets. Is the number of people that choose them.

Do that number of guys really get turned on by looking at a semi-naked chick in a video game? =S

Why do I have to get ticket to play in the Gauntlet? I don’t like the other content as much.

There is only so much Aspect Arena I can do and tbh, I win most of my games and I feel that there’s just no challenge to it.

Sanctum Sprint is boring as hell and is a crappy version of Mario Kart.

The Pavillion is a zerg fest where no one listens all go around in a big zerg ball and Spam 1

The Gauntlet is fun and challenging and you can even add you own challenge with the Gambits.

So can I ask why I have the play all the others, which are free-to-play 24/7 100% of the time. Yet I have to get tickets to play in the Gauntlet and I need 35 kittenty tokens to get 5 tickets which isn’t even enough to do a 5 gambit run. I have to get 70 to do it once and 105 to do it 3 times.

I want to try and get the achievement to kill a Teir 3 Boss with 5 Gambits and the long break between runs to do so because I have to get so many tickets to do it is not letting me improve as much as I would like.

I have to play it 2 / 3 times to see where I’m going wrong. Then change something. Try it again 2 / 3 times. Change it again etc etc and this is proving to costing a LOAD of tickets just because for whatever reason Anet decided to say “Screw the guys that ONLY want to play Gauntlet”.

I could live with it when I got the tokens for beating bosses. Cause I could just then spend a little gold and do what I like doing. But when you’ve beaten all the bosses you no longer get the bonus chests.

Just don’t understand why they’ve but a part of the LS behind a grind wall. Curious as to the decision of this :/

Here’s my theif. Had it for quite a while and I finially found a look I don’t think I will ever change.

Mask – T3 Human
Coat – T3 Human
Shoulders – Stalwart
Legs – Noble
Boots – Leather Boots
Gloves – Outlaw Gloves

Dyes – Abyss and Lava

Not sure how accurate it is but I was playing with the Harp yesterday and I think I made the tune for frère jacques.

All done on the middle octave. If someone finds a better tune to match the actual tune PM me and I’ll update this

Easy way to do it.

Race Change equal anything related to that char wiped.
Achievements stay that same because you still ACHIEVED them.
Anything in the wallet stays because its account bound.
Anything AND I MEAN ANYTHING on the character at the time of race change = gone.

You got that T3 Cultural and want a Race Change? Tough your gona lose it.
You got full ascended? Put it in the back it’ll be safe there.

You don’t need to give these players all these refunds for this and that and reductions here and there. Just make it the same as a Total Makeover kit but with a race change option with everything in the Inventory wiped. Clean. Completely. Erased. After the race change is complete the player will receive the starter 20 slot bag soul bound to that character. The personal story will give you random choices based on the background you have provided (if you really want to go that far). Or alternatively just not include it at all. The chances are if they want a race change they don’t care much about the story missions to begin with and just make their “personal story” start from the mission they are on.

There are some that care about story but I personally don’t. If you want to RP then RP and don’t use the kit and just re-roll if you want to change. For those that don’t want to RP I don’t see why they should be limited just because other people want to RP.

Why does it make such a big difference to you? I can see why people want it. My GF can be indecisive sometimes about what race she wants to play and has re-rolled many times just to change the race. Prolly would of saved a lot of time if she could of just changed the race.

According to the 3rd post on that thread you’ll get the skin with some stats. So it doesn’t look like you’ll get the skin back as the skin consumable but rather as another item.

Consider hunter’s shot can be easily avoided by evading/dodging/blinding.
Longbow Rangers rely on their utilities too much to replace anything with Sic Em.

Thats your choice. I rely on Assassins Signet, Shadow Refuge and Shadow Step and I want a few other things as well. You want to not use Sic Em? Fine. But a reveal thats on a 8 sec CD is a little too good.

You want the reveal? Then replace something with Sic Em. Simple as.

Ditch QZ. Unless your gona burst down a target in that time or you have a friend who can also deal damage with your low HP its kinda pointless. Want a Break stun? Use LigReflex.

Ditch Signet of the Hunt. The 50% increase is nice but unless your gona use Maul on the GS then that extra 50% isn’t really gona save you and that speed increase isn’t either. Signet of the Wild IMO is better for the Stability and increased 25% damage over 6 secs. Better use with Rapid Fire then Signet of the Hunt.

Drop Agility Training and put Quick Draw there. Use Moment of Clarity instead so unless its out of combat your very likely to get an interrupt on a player with PntBlkSht so that 50% extra coming from that trait instead of the SotH (They don’t stack) means you can combine it with SotW for even more damage on that first hit.

Drop Either Eagle eye or Peirceing Arrows for Signet of the Beastmaster. That 6 sec Immu with the extra damage you can get from SoS and the 6 secs increased damage + Stability from SotW is very very nice.

Drop Sharpened Edges. Using Condis on a Zerker Build IMO is a waste. Your better of with Compaions Might or Primal reflexes. Depending if you like using your pet.

Hmm. What im trying to say is that im watching the actual debuff on my target. I’ve tested this in pvp where i use Sic-Em at long range on a theif whos fighting another player and watch there debuff. I watch it go from four seconds to three to dissapearing as the thief enters stealth anyway. This isnt once in a blue moon this happens. But infact quite often.

Im familiar with the uses of the skill as i’ve been using it since before the reveal change to it. What I am trying to figure out is why the reveal seems to be unreliable for me.

Thats why I posted my concerns in the form of questions. To see if others are noticing the same issues or know more information about it.

Mesmers get way more stealth and can spam clones to the nth degree.
Thiefs can stealth pretty much at will for long periods of time.

My GF runs Sic em on her Ranger and it always lasts 4 seconds. 4 seconds isn’t as long as you think it might be.

Using “Blinds” won’t do kitten cause Reveal doesn’t affect blinds. You can use Sic Em on a theif and they can still Blind Power stomp you. Reveal on only on stealth.

For someone to be downed THAT QUICK you have to be running a GC (Glass Cannon) build at which case be prepared to be downed real fast. I run a GC Theif with 11.4k HP and a backstab will do ~9.6k from another GC theif. My GF runs a GC Ranger which she loses approx the same HP but she has an extra 4k HP on top of mine.

You want to know the awesomeness in this ability?

See a theif use black powder? The AoE Smoke like circle?
Use Sic Em and watch them Heatseeker and be confused why they didn’t stealth (Often using HS again and wasting all Init) just be sure to down them quick after.

Its real fun when me and my GF roams around see’s a theif. She uses Sic Em just before they heartseeker then I jump in with my 1500 range Steal + BV and down then almost instantly. The confusion some of them have why they heartseeker BACK is real funny.

Another one is against Mesmers. Just before you stun them use Sic Em. So when they use that utility that breaks stun, creates a clone and stealths them. It will just create a clone allowing you to still actually see the mesmer. So if you had him targeted the target will still be there with the added benefit of that if you have a k9 breed it will knockdown on first attack. The extra move speed will allow them to catch them.

While some sort of Participation is required the main difference with PvE and WvW is that you can do PvE at you OWN pace. I complete one map a day simply because I find it too boring to do more but I’m not rushed to get it down NOW because it ain’t going anywhere. No amount of WvWers is going to effect the speed at which I can do this and I’m not effecting other WvWers in playing PvE.

However with WvW you will now have MORE people who are PvEers. MORE people who don’t care about WvW MORE people who won’t listen to order MORE people who are filling up slots from peope who WANT to be there.

I had one tower I needed for map complete. I am stupidly forgotten to get it before rotation. It was the last freaking tower before 100%. I had spent 2 – 3 days almost straight trying to get the tower until I decided to ask in chat. NOPE. I just get smashed down told to get off the map for someone who actually wants to be there to actually play and not for some BS Map Completion 99% of the people on the map couldn’t give a kitten about. I was so disgusted by the people I deleted all my chars and swapped servers. I don’t want to wait for Map Completion for one freaking tower and PRAY we get that colour (Our Server was never good enough to get any other towers).

Now I dislike that map completion is there for the simple fact that I can’t do it at my own pace. I can’t just roam around the Borderlands when I feel like it grabbing all the POIs or Vistas. I either have to wait for a zerg to come by and smash down the door or I have to PRAY that no one comes to get me when I’m trying to solo the tower. If they put the POIs at the door of the tower and not IN the tower and made all vistas accessible via outside the tower then I wouldn’t mind it being there but they aren’t which means that you either need to be lucky or pray you have some people that will help you.

Now before you all go “BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT WE HAVE TO DO PVE AND I DON’T WANT TO DO PVE!!!!!!!11”. I honestly think there should be a WvW Only way of getting the Legendaries. Or at least ways of transfering BoH into the resources needed to get Legendaries with a SMALL touch on Actual PvE.
So say you need to get Dung Tokens still but with the WvW way of doing it you can do less Dungeon Runs and also use your BoH. Just as an example.

I don’t hate that WvW is required. Just on how much is.

I’m loving the Lovestruck skins (really they look awesome!) however I want more weapons then I have tickets (1 ticket = 1 weapon currently) and the scraps / tickets drop so little from BLCs that I dought I will ever get enough tickets for all the weapons I want :/.

I know they are on the TP for sale but I don’t want to be farming for gold for hrs on end just to get 1 skin.

So I am curious does anyone know if these are temporary or will they be permanent?
If they are permanent what is the likely price?

(If a dev could answer that would be awesome)

By range I meant with the bow. I had a skill where I shoot a bomb arrow and I was wondering does that range increase.

No. There is no way to Increase the Range of a bow with the Theif.

If you are likely to MAKE money by promoting. Just farm for Ectos (Dung token will help a lot with this) and salavage them into Crytalline dust and buy the T5 mats from the market then (if you want to use your skill points to do this) get some of the Philopher Stones and promote that mats. You will save a LOT of gold this way (even more so if you are looking at big numbers).

It is more lengthy then just buying the T6 mats but you don’t have to grind for so much gold considering that you can get rare that drop Ectos from CoF, CoE, HoTW and Arah.

If you were to run all 12 dung paths you would get AT LEAST 12g and be able to buy 36 rares just from the tokens to get Ectos. You might not want to run all 12 paths in a day if you don’t like some of them but you still can get a fair few. Other Dungs aren’t worth doing except for stats, skin or some extra gold cause the rares can’t drop ectos from being too low level.

I had to get 250 powerful blood for my Quiver. If I was to buy outright it would of been ~84g. cause I salavaged the ectos from rares I found (much much longer way of doing it but I was in no rush) I managed to save like 40 – 50g.

You can transmute Soulbound items to make them accountbound by transmuting it to a white item (White item stats).

However this is NOT possible with trinkets as they do not have a skin and therefore have no reason to be transmuted.

I believe you are able to get this skin from the WvW Vendors.

The icons are different and the name is different (Why I don’t know) however you will need badges of honor to do this.

Tbh its prolly easier to use Transmutation Stones as you can get a load real easy. Just make sure you use a white item to make it account bound then transmute it to the stats you want.

If you lost the Spore then you lost the Spores. The NPC did not take any money off you as you chose to buy the spores.

Its your fault your not reading what you are clicking. I’ve done the same before where I’ve bought the wrong item and has cost me (4 times though is something else).

Just learn from your mistake and don’t blame an NPC for a User Error.
