Necromancer Female Lich?

All necros are male liches to begin with,

Not sure what your point is then, if thats the lore of the Lich and the Necro connection (cause I have 0 clue) then that’s the lore.

If anything, I’m glad they don’t have Female Liches if all liches are male because that would be adding in females for the sake of adding females, which imo should NEVER happen. A character should be male / female based on the narrative not to please an audience. If the narrative allows either gender (Give the player a choice) then it doesn’t matter either way.

I would like a Guardian to have red / orange flames instead of blue or for Mesmers to have different colour Illusions rather then just purple. But thats the Narrative for GW2, so it stays as such.

I’ve always taken it that you transform into a lich, not the other way around. If a Lich is male, then you transform into a male.

Much like the way that the Bear Form and stuff works, its always a big bulky bear, even if you make a skinny Norn.

If another expansion comes out for a full price of $50 again that includes base game and HoT, I will quit. After HoT, not interested in another cash grab from this game just to be relevant in PvP. Sell off Living Stories or something.

Then don’t play any other MMO’s. Pretty much every MMO out there is now doing this when a new expansion comes out, the core and the older expansions are bundled with it for the same price.

Please tell me which MMOs are doing this. Because atm this is the only one I’ve seen where this is the case.
I don’t mind Anet bundling Expacs with the game, every games does it eventually.
But having it at full-game price when the expac does not have a full-game worth of content and doesn’t give any sort of discount towards people who have already bought the game feels like giving a middle finger to those that bought the game before.
IF they are realeasing a new Xpac, and they are doing the same kitten they did with HoT. It better kitten be worth buying it from the perspective of someone who already has the game. Otherwise I’ll just again wait until it goes stupidly low price on a key site.
At first when I saw the HoT price, I honestly though Anet were joking or something.

And this is where we disagree. I found the pricing normal for an expansion. So much so that I pre-purchased the Ultimate at $100 and was not one bit disappointed with the content and am still not one bit disappointed. Playing almost every day I have had my monies worth and more.

I don’t know many expansions that have the price of the full game.
Maybe its just an MMO thing.

Fire Elemental is one of the most killed World Bosses and now it literally takes 20 seconds to kill!

Ah, the days when Shadow Behemoth died in literal seconds, where the people from the pre didn’t have enough time to get the World Boss kill. I think 6 secs was the quickest Behemoth Kill I ever saw.

But yh, I’m not sure if its just me getting better but a lot of things that I thought were quite hard a year or two ago is just face-roll easy now.

Other then Pocket Raptors, as much as I hate them. I like the challenge they posses.

No, we don’t need MORE power to conditions. As soon as nullifying all boons becomes a thing, using boons will be pointless.

They need to tone down the power creep, not add to it. Otherwise they’ll keep band-aid fixing stuff with more power stuff to counter the stuff that just got added.

Maybe lower access to Stability is a better alternative no? Surely your not dying to Swiftness, Regen or Vigor now?

Skill based League

Can we please get a skilled based League?
Like a legit one, not a fake one.

I’m tired of being put with people that do really dumb stuff.

We were 250-350 winning on Legacy but enemy team had all 3 caps. For w/e reason team didn’t want to go for lord. – Lost

Lost team fight at the start of the game, Ranger Proceeds to AFK rest of match – Lost

Theif that is just running between mid and home, not capping or even fighting most of the time – Lost

Had games where I’m the only one that defends home, gets jumped by three people, team can’t cap mid despite 2v4 advantage – Lost

Theif that does nothing but die in mid while enemy thief is doing what thieves do best. – Lost due to being outrotated by a theif.

All these in a row. 1 person makes too much of a difference for them to do stupid stuff. And can there PLEASE be a way to black list people so they don’t end up on your team? Some people are just in a league way to high for there skill level and/or just troll matches because reasons. There are some players that almost always AFK. No reason just always in base doing nothing all game and then calls a team noob because they don’t win 4v5.

Apparently reporting them does nothing because I’ve had the same guy afk in matches for the past week or so now.

Fractals are not raids. Please stop.

What do you suggest Anet does?

- Theres a Massive Tell to the “one-hit” attack.
- If you bring a Break Stun (which no one seems to do) then you should never die to his – leap attack (Unless your on a Thief or Ele)
- People don’t dodge the Charge
- Suggest they take a ranged weapon instead of meleeing him. They don’t.
- Suggest they don’t try and CC when he’s doing the stomps. They don’t
- Say don’t rez people in the stomp AoE. They try and rez anyway.
- Say “Take utilities that’ll keep you alive”. Wars still take 2 Banners and Signet. No WoR from Guards. Necros won’t use Shroud when they are stunned. Ele don’t take lighting flash. Theifs don’t use Signet of Agility for more dodges. Never seen a Mesmer with Blink or Phantasmal Defender. And I don’t really understand how Rangers die when they are the one throwing all the heals out.

And god forbid I tell someone to change their sacred build to help the group.

Truth is, most people are out there for them selves and don’t give a kitten about anyone else. Don’t want to play AS A TEAM and will just complain with they can’t pug something. Don’t learn how to dodge, read tells and expect everyone else to pick up where they are slacking because they are some uber pro who can’t do anything wrong.

At that point I’m tired of repeating the same stuff and will just say “Git gud”. Because it gives the same result with a lot less effort.

Absolutely Nothing Changes.

Suggestions for Reviving Dungeons

Dungeons are better reward wise then they used to be. Its just not liquid gold. 100 Tokens per path compared to 60 is massive and after 8 paths you get an extra 150 of your choosing.

Thats 950 tokens for 8 paths (daily) compared to only 480 tokens for 8 paths. If you total up the liquid reward.

Most dungeons are 35s so I’ll use that.
8 × 35 = 2g 80 + 5g (From achieve) = 7g 80
Rather then 8 × 1g = 8g

So you get 20s less then what you normally got, but you get nearly double the tokens. Dungeons are better then what they once were. Its just that there are better places to get gold now. Fractals got buffed in that regard, Silverwastes, Tarir ML.

You get a good group and its easy gold. Easier then Fractals (Which you can only do once a day while Dungeons if you do a lot of paths can do up to 3 times) but Fractals are often a lot shorter and can reward people with Ascended Armour or materials which Dungeons do not.

Dungeons will not be revived because Anet doesn’t want them to be, they nerfed them in the first place because they didn’t want people running them. Dought they’ll make it better then they are now for the same reason.

Raid problem

I’d much rather have the majority of a new player’s attention on the encounter’s mechanics until it becomes second nature and then take them afterwards to beat up a golem so they learn how to better contribute to the team.

However a majority of the time the players can’t get to the later phases because they aren’t running DPS builds, therefore hit enrage, therefore die faster, therefore does not see the final phase to practise to actually kill the boss.

I see the exact same reason to not use proper food during training runs “Too Expensive and not needed”.

Well VG needs to get to 33% before you see all phases, having 2 Section lit rather then 1 is a lot more hectic. For quick CC as well as the Tank.

Gorsavel needs to get to 33% before you see the traps

Sabatha needs to get to like 20% before you get the falling rubble

On Trio you really need to kill Zane quickly because Zane + Nurella is just a cluterkitten and a half and Nurella is bad enough on her own

On Mathius you need to get him to 40% before you see all phases.

KC you need to under 33% to experience his last CC phase

Xera you need to get to like 20% to experience Both tower ports

So not using Meta builds “To learn mechanics” doesn’t really hold water unless you can carry those that do not know otherwise you will not experience the last phases to actually kill the boss. And other the Ele most rotations are really easy.

Theif – Dodge if Endurance is full and Auto. I know its not Highest DPS but its good enough
Guard – Hammer Auto, drop PoB, Hammer 2 or SoJ AFTER last auto hit, ToF off CD
Necro – You can get away with auto attacking and using scept 2/3 off CD and Dagger 4 if need condi transfer. Rise of CD and other then Epi (which doesn’t take more then 10 secs to understand what your suppose to be doing) its brainless.

I tell you what I tell every other group that tries to kill bosses with improper set-ups and constantly fails to get even to the last phase.

Improper training is as good as no training at all.

What happened to +7 Simple Infusion?

With the recent fractal ar changes, is there a way to change +7 simple infusion to a mighty +7 infusion?

No there currently is not

Can we at least sell/trade the simple infusion back to the NPC for fractal relics?

The new Golem Vendor (INFUZ- something) on one of the last tabs buys the +7 and +5 Omni Infusion for bags of Relics equal to the amount of relics needed to buy the infusion.

The kitten considering HoT and the people who had bought the Core game didn’t help.

Pay for Expac, but we’re adding the game free of charge with no discount for people who already bought it! – I know that put me off until I found HoT for really cheap on a keysite and bought it there. I hope they DON’T do that for the next Xpac. Cause you’ll just kitten even MORE people off. I won’t come back a second time if your gona play the same tricks.

Then there was the cancellation of Legendaries, why I don’t know.

Then there was the lack of any content what so ever baring raids.

Then there was the whole thing with the WvW maps and lack of population.

Over the past few months is seems they are trying to fix this. I like that we are at least getting SOME LS stuff over the months before the next set of instanced missions. But they should of been adding ANYTHING to keep people interested. No Queens Gaunlet, No festivals of any kind, only really the PvP seasons which they decided that a weighted MM would be the best way to annoy cough entertain people.

Then the whole “We’re not adding armours to the Gemstore only outfits” and the 1001 different glider skins and god know how many Packs where you only really want 1 or 2 items from. Constant addition of BL Skins that they could easily add to something to do in the world but would rather make money off rather then give something for people to do.

They really need to give something for people to do rather then screaming “SPEND MORE MONEY”. All it does it want me to spend less.

Master 1: Balthazar’s Pendulum.
The next time you are the target of crowd control, mirror the effect back to your attacker. ICD: 30

- Can we NOT get MORE passive traits like this. Its annoying at it was with nightmare runes and Mesmer only don’t take this trait because its in a crappy traitline. There’s enough option as it is.

Adept 2: The Truth Is Ugly
Virtue’s effects now apply additional conditions to enemies with their effects.
Justice active: apply (3) confusion (4s)
Justice Passive: every 5th attack, apply (1) confusion (2s)
Resolve active: apply (5) poison (8s)
Resolve passive: apply (1) poison (3s) every pulse to up to 3 nearby foes while in combat.
Courage active: apply (4) bleed ( 9s)
Courage passive: apply (2s) bleeding (5s) every time Courage’s effect renews or when aegis blocks an attack while in combat.

- Should either change the passive OR change ONE activation. Take the virtue traitline for instance. Anything to do with changing the active. Is on its own, while the passive change is on a Minor and affects all three. This is personally really overtuned.

Minor 2: Defender’s Zeal.
Regain endurance when hit by attacks while blocking( endurance regained: 10) and inflict (2) bleeding (4s) upon your attackers if your endurance is not full. This trait has a 1 second ICD

- Would make more sense to apply bleed if endurance IS full. Otherwise your getting both affects or neither and also kinda makes it a either or situation. You not dodge and get extra damage from bleed or avoid damage but miss out on the bleed. Theif trait similar to this adds Endurance when using Ini on staff but you have 10% when durance isn’t full. So you either have to waste dodges to get that 10% bonus, or you get more doges but lose out on the 10%.

Master 2: Zealot’s Fire.
Whenever you grant a boon to an ally or inflict a condition on an enemy, foes near that ally (300) take damage ( 277) and start burning (3s).

- For this either when granting boons, or inflicting conditions as well as a ICD of 5 secs. With Staff or GH Hammer this would be stupidly good and considering the new weapon has a ton of condis on it it would be way too easy to spam “Dancing Dagger”.

Master 3: Surgical Incisions
Dagger attacks now cripple (2s) enemies. Deal bonus damage to foes depending on the amount of conditions currently on them ( bonus damage: 3% per condition, maximum bonus 15%).

- Need an ICD on that cripple otherwise say hello to perma cripple up to 3 targets.

Grandmaster 1: Flames Of Faith
Guardian light fields are now fire fields as well and grant the effects of both fields upon interacting.
Combo finishers you perform in any combo field now heal you (220).

- Either or, can’t have both. With is being a GM and change to fire fields at least is a choice

Grandmaster 3: Tainted body, pure spirit
All virtues are now ground targetable shadowsteps with 400 range.
Silencing justice now makes your attacks unblockable (3s) with it’s active.
Cold Light Of Resolve now forms a mobile icefield (5s) around you with its active.
Blessed Courage now inflicts (3) bleeding (4s) when hitting foes. The shield now returns to inflict additional (2) bleeding (4s) to foes for each foe struck by the initial shield.

- Too much stuff in a single trait. Take a look at Absolute Resolution or Indomitable Coruage. They only affect 1 Virtues active per trait. Pick a virtue to buff up, but not all 3.

Auto attack: Dancing Daggers: throw a dagger at your target, piercing foes in a line while applying bleeding (7s). Apply additional bleeding (7s)to each foe for each foe hit after the first. Max targets: 3. Combo finisher: projectile ( 20% chance). Range: 600.

- No offense but really? Just giving away Thiefs “Dancing Dagger” to Guard making it better and an auto attack? Idk what you can change it to, but making an exact skill of another class and making is just…… an insult to injury?

Dagger 3: Alchemist’s Concoction: Stab your foe and evade ( ¾ s) backwards (450), dropping a flask that leaves a chemical field (5s) that (2)confuses (4s) enemies standing in it every second. If you successfully hit a target before evading, gain access to Volatile Combustion. Range: 130. Puddle radius: 360. Combo field: ethereal.
Activation time: ½ second. Recharge: 12.

- Personally either this need to be kept as is and remove the chain, or reduce this skills affect in someway. Too powerful and chances are you’ll get the chain 9 times / 10

Dagger 3: Volatile combustion (3s): Throw a specially prepared dagger into your chemical field, causing it to combust and applying massive(4) burning (3s) to foes standing inside the field with each tick. Range: 600. Activation time: 1 second. Combo finisher: Blast.

- Too powerful, its hard enough to stay near AoEs in PvP as it is without tanky guards dropping massive damage on them.

You have the right to play as you want and with whoever you choose, but so do they. Your right is in no way greater than theirs.

Or, even better, have an option in lfg for posters to make their lfg invisible for people who have the inspect option turned off (or on). BAM! You will never have to deal with elitists ever again! But this way you also won’t be able to leech off other people, either, and in the end that’s what this is all about, amirite?…

While this is true, do you often find more people aprove of including others and playing nicely or excluding and ridiculing those that don’t live up to your made up standards? Yes it’s within your rights to play however you want, and it’s also the other persons rights to play how they want. It’s a matter of player mind set A wanting to exclude player mind set B, while player mind set B is fine playing with either A or B.

I’m not saying either side is right or wrong, as I have and do play with both sides.

I don’t want a inspect function, I believe it would bring more negative exchanges between players then positive to the game. So that means I’m just looking to leech off others? I don’t need dungeon marks, I don’t need gold, I have plenty of ascended sets. I do enjoy playing the game though and just doing runs with who ever happens to want to.

and I want an inspect function because I want to see who is using bad builds. I want to see why we aren’t doing DPS, you can’t trust people to tell the truth. People will lie just to stay in a party where they are being carried by the rest. I want to weed those people out when I don’t have the time nor the paitence to wipe over and over again because one person cannot equip their character correctly.

I’ve tried LFG – People don’t read LFG and join with bad builds anyway
I’ve tried pinging – People get chat codes and fake the ping.

Great, you play with like minded people who don’t care. So why does this bother you? because some prick is gona mock you on your build rather then your AP? The Block function does the same thing.

“You will never have to deal with elitists ever” – And please stop doing this. You throw that around as if it were candy and then wonder why “Elitists” throw around the word “Casual”. Its a buzzword. Nothing more.

I know “Elitists” who are actually really nice people and don’t mind people using bad builds, and I know “Casuals” who are stubborn kittens and will scream at you because you dared to call them a bad player.

Inspect does nothing to change the way you play. Kittens will be kittens no matter what they can or cannot see. Your making out as if this Inspect option will cause privacy issues when in fact you probably wouldn’t even care when you were actually playing the game.

Depends on the people involved. If someone is willing to listen and learn even if they are using bad builds. I’ll play nice. If someone is going to be stubborn and constantly cause party wipes. I will ridicule them for playing bad. Are you nice to mean people?

Spirit Shards & L80 Ranking

2. No one is saying you have to have spirit shards. Keep locked masteries locked if you don’t want them. But the intention as it stands is that you get spirit shards AFTER you get to 170 Mastery. Not before.

– Its rude. But you try smacking your head against a brick wall because people can’t dodge, don’t use the right builds, don’t use the right utilities and then cry wine and scream when they get kicked because they are crap.

- I do, and guess what. People still join with crap builds. Notice the “You can play Nomads Ele” example. I’ve had that. I put in LFG, I wanted a zerker Ele and the guy walked in with Nomads gear. expecting to do a DPS role. People don’t read LFGs.

- Then don’t join those groups. Said it before.

- And I don’t play an online game to carry people because they decided that their build is somehow better then a build that has been tried and tested and then do worse then playing the “meta” build and have to up MY game to play HARDER because OTHER people can’t pull their weight. If I wanted to 4-man 5-man content. I can do that without another person deciding that for me.

elitist suggestion – Again I ask, what it inherently wrong with waiting to be the most optimal you can be?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be the most optimal you can be. The key word here is YOU, demanding or discriminating against others because you don’t think they are as “optimal” as they can be is the issue with inspecting.

Just because people are kittens about doesn’t mean its bad.
preference for a casual game construed as fear – Why is preference for making sure you aren’t dragging someone who plays crap and makes my game worse a bad thing?

It doesn’t mean it’s good either. What does it bring to the game; the good and the bad. How would its use affect players? The last line in your statement here is the EXACT reason people are so against it, it’s the terrible attitude it would bring to the table.

In my eyes your post is the aggressive one as you are attacking his question for no reason. I am too curious what people are afraid of that people will find with checking your gear and build. Does that make me aggressive because I asked a question?

It’s not the question that’s aggressive it’s the way it’s posed and the wording used to support it. Lines like “If anyone else has great ideas for what else players should be able to do to other players”. Make it feel like he is pushing his agenda off as a “great” idea to everyone, the truth is, it may seem like a great idea to him; others may disagree.

I’m curious why other then excluding people based on gear and trait choices do you want an inspect function? I’m aware there are some potential positive uses, like looking for new build/gear ideas(not everyone googles a build), but that I fear that type of use would be in the minority.

As far as dueling goes, I’m 100% for for it; if it comes with an option to auto decline.

You can always make your own group for things if you don’t want to min-max to play with like minded players. The same way “elitists” ask for the same like minded people. You don’t want to play with people who want to play optimally. Then don’t join their groups – Non-issue

You NEED an API key to get the MOST reliable way of checking and good luck with people giving you their API key.

Though I ask, why join groups where people are rigid about what THEY want in THEIR group when the easiest option is to just not join? Or god forbid make your own?

Why does the ‘are you chicken?’ question come up with every one of these aggressive pro-PvP, pro-raid, elitist suggestions? Why is a preference for a casual game construed as fear?

Seriously, this is a very dead horse. Stop beating on it.

Pro – PvP / Pro – Raid What do you say that as is its a bad thing?
elitist suggestion – Again I ask, what it inherently wrong with waiting to be the most optimal you can be? Just because people are kittens about doesn’t mean its bad.

In my eyes your post is the aggressive one as you are attacking his question for no reason. I am too curious what people are afraid of that people will find with checking your gear and build. Does that make me aggressive because I asked a question?

Casual players that run bad builds that want to try and do hard content with a specific build and getting told they can’t despite that they are perfectly able to create their own party but that is something that they never do.

People who don’t care what they run vs people who actually want to try there hardest to get the most out of their class never mix.

For whatever reason trying to be the most “optimal” is being “elitist”. There’s nothing inherently wrong with trying to be the best, but when the people that don’t care about playing anything decent are told that there build is bad they’ve got to call it a bad word because reasons.

Or they want to run something like a Nomads Ele with Signet of earth and expect to be a DPS role (Yes, I’ve had them in pugs). Cause god forbid people want to play optimally and don’t want to waste time!

First a disclaimer: I DON"T DO FRACTALS!! I find them uninteresting as far as the GW2 storyline is concerned———and I find it very difficult to find a party just to do something that I have no interest in!! That being said————————To force players to engage in activities they neither want to do, have an interest in doing, or provides any measurable “progress” to the player character is NOT a positive to this game———worse is discovering that, for example, to further progress in “legendary weapons”, one MUST “grind” their way through countless OTHER fractals before they can “try the one they need” is the BEST way of diminishing your player base that I can conceive of!!! To me, and I’m fairly sure to many others, FRACTALS are little more than an annoying irritant (the same holds true for WvW, Dungeons and PvP——since not all of us are enamored with these segments of the game). I suggest putting the needed gear, trophy, gizmo, etc that can ONLY be obtained in Fractals on the TP at a high enough cost that it provides players with a CHOICE for acquisition. If needed, only allow the TP to purchase those items obtained FROM the Fractal itself—thus keeping the price high

How are you forced to do fractals? What gear is that can’t be obtained elsewhere?

  • Legendary precursors are available on the TP.
  • Non-infusions can be obtained in WvW.
  • Ascended gear can be crafted, except for rings, amulets, and accessories, none of which require fractals.

but but, I don’t want to spend gold to buy it off the TP when crafting it is cheaper!!! /s

I would leave him be. He seems like one of those people that when the games says “do this to get a shiny” he must have that shiny therefore the game is forcing him to do something when he could do something else to get the same shiny but they’re just too blind to see it.

Technically the Forsaken Thicket is in the HoT Zones. The Entrance is in VB. You can access them from Lions Arch Aerodrome because you get (by lore) transported by pact ships.

I think the main problem is that people don’t want to change their build (change is apparently evil?) and don’t want to TRY and be more surviably.

If CC is an issue, Stun Breaks are there for a reason.
If Condi is an issue, Condi Cleanse are there for a reason
If staying alive is an issues, Defensive Traits skills and Stats are there for a reason.

Complaing about Swamp when 9/10 I’m the last man standing in a party with 300 ping I’m honestly shocked. Then the proceeding 4 members call, BS demand Anet turn down Bloom and leave.

And I’m standing there, asking myself. “Why do people find him so hard?”

LFG in-game is giving me peeps who thinks that dodging is hard and range is a sin so I’m giving up on the in-game LFG and hope a message in the forums will yield better results in actually completing these things rather then people dying and calling BS because there only-one-good-melee-zerker build isn’t working.

From what I’ve done against Golem
Thief Staff DPS is just shy of Fresh Air Ele.

Taking 25Might, Fury and Quickness
With
Empower Allies, Assassins Presence (?), Str and Dis Banner 2x GoTL Spotter and Frost. I got Staff DPS around 1k DPS less. (26.3k vs 27.4k)

Also taking into account my Thief as of current doesn’t have any Ascended Armour, so the DPS is a little closer then that.
Not to mention the superior breakbar destruction thief now has due to BV VenomShare baseline. So for VG / Matt (Unless your using Aura Ele) Theif might just be better then ele in terms of damage and usefulness considering that less classes have to take CC instead of something else that might boost damage instead =P.
(Yes I’m trying to push thief into at least one boss, yes I am biased, yes I have both classes)

Against a moving target I’m certain Thief DPS will outshine Ele FA due to the nature of static AoEs. Against Staff Ele w/ Large Hitbox. Staff Ele is still better.

Thief is definitely better against vale guardian. Ele vs thief on matthias largely depends on how badly you want to clear ice patches and now much you trust your thief not to accidentally give matthias 150% damage with autoattack (though thief is going to win in DPS because it’s tough to keep matthias still and because shadowstep lets you get more attacks off).

Against xera and sabetha thief is going to give better damage than D/W but the ele will be much better at killing adds so it’s really a matter of what you prefer for your comp.

As you said ele still destroys everything with a large hitbox.

Since you should run d/d anyways I don’t think you should be reflecting with staff auto…

Never could get D/D that high Dps. Is there a vid you show rotation cause I’m useless and could never find one =/

Which has nothing to do with my point… which is only that while you’re on the surface of the water, you can still dodge. Dodging is still an available action.

ANet have said no capes, too many clipping issues with Charr, so blame them.

No person at Arenanet has ever stated that. Stop spreading misinformation.

This was said by ANet very close to GW2 launch, as it was something we all asked for during the Beta’s. How do I know this? I was there I saw it and read it.

The reason was because the capes would clip through the charr as they ran.

But if you have proof that I’m not telling the truth, please feel free to show me.

Trying to prove that is like trying to prove innocence with no evidence for or against. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

So while your asking someone to blindly believe you, why don’t you prove that anet said no capes. Otherwise it’s just your word against his and that doesn’t go far on the internet.

Type eq into the search bar, if you have a copper fed it’ll show the copper fed in the account slot and all items with a requirement. Normally just gear and some foods. Easiest way to salvage a lot of greens as you salvage the next item gets moved along. You can still deposit via the cog.

I think it’s bogus that you only got a second or two to used the launch skill. I can never really know the max range I can launch myself to since I’m panicking to move to any spot asap before the launch skill dissapear!

I was just making a lame joke in response to the OP. I’m guessing they are annoyed with the Job-O-Tron sound effects. Maybe an extreme reaction on their part, but hey… nothing stopping them from adjusting their audio options to fix that.

Is it possible to turn off Job-O-tron without affecting other sounds in-game?

The Greatsaw was added to the game years ago. So it might of been possible to pick up a stated version of the weapon at the time before the change to the Wardrobe. At least I knew this was possible some weapons were added, can’t remember the name. But there were weapons that had stats and some were just skins. This just might be a stated version from before.

They are a little confusing now.
Maybe a QoL change could be when you select the fractal scale, it is a dropdown list with the number of the fractal and what it is called.

The difference of quality and detail between both female and male is so drastic, that I feel compelled to create conspiracy theories about it.

Human T2 Medium is the Same

The Female on looks so much better then the Male one.
At least the Female one as nice looking Feathers unlike the male one where it seems they cheapened out and had to stay with leather looking “Feathers”

Its why my only Female Characters are lights. Because male light armour is just plain crap.

what i want is stat detail on how much damage the CC does to breakbar…

Freeze – 60 * Duration
Stun/Daze/Knockback/Knockdown/Launch/Pull/Transform – 100 * Duration
Stone – 150 * Duration
Wards – 150 per pass
All of these happen in 1 go, so a 2 seconds stone = 300 Instant Damage
Anything under a second is rounded up to a second

Fear – 100 DPS
Taunt – 75 DPS
Immobilze – 50 DPS
Slow – 50 DPS
Chill – 33 DPS
Blind – 20 DPS
Weakness – 20DPS
Cripple – 10DPS

So, if it’s set up so you can walk away from it and they still kill, then it’s against TOS. However, if you come back every few minutes, they probably can’t catch you at it. Just be aware that some have been banned or suspended for doing this.

First time I’ve heard of a company banning someone using the mechanics that are in the game that ISN’T considered an exploit.

Greetings

I’ve been having an argument with my Ex this morning about Lupi.

She says that Lupi scales in damage, hp and the number of bolts he fires during Phase 2/3 based on the number of players / NPCs that are in the Dungeon when it starts and is therefore a lot easier to solo then to kill as a group.

However my experience with Dungeons is that the only thing that scales in the number for AoE Player Targeted attacks a boss does (due to less players). However Damage / HP feels like it remains the same. So the number of bolt Lupi fires during phase 2/3 would be less because there are less players, but the amount of damage (ie one-shotting most people) would be the same.

Has anyone does any research on this?
Is soloing Lupi that much easier cause its one person and not 5 (if all 5 know what they are doing)?

If true why don’t people start dungeons with a whole party and not just themselves and add people later (ie dungeons scaling to one person) to make the ride easier?

Well it’s been like this since ages.
I think the point is that it give a “long” swiftness duration to as many player that can pass the veil. To avoid people stacking unlimited amount of swftness with it, they simply made the “veil” check if you already have swiftness. If you have, it doesn’t grant you any buff.
This is bothersome in many way but it’s also an intended inherent weakness of the mesmer. Like what they said about the upcoming revenant who will, by design, struggle with out of combat mobility. (Well this just mean that some runes mesmer use right now will be even more pricey)

I can get unlimited Swiftness with my Guard. Symbols ftw. If they don’t people using rapidly to gain swiftness why didn’t they just do the same thing with what they did with portal and give you a debuff that stops it? =S

Is focus #4 bugged?

Its meant to give 12s of swiftness when walking through it however it doesn’t always give you the swiftness.

I found that if I walk though it when I have no swiftness, I get the swiftness everytime without fail.

This gets annoying with zergs cause of the symbols, shouts and warhorns warriors / guards use meaning that I cannot use mine. If I get 6 seconds after I place the Focus #4 skill I won’t get the swiftness from it. It’ll end before the swiftness ends and I cannot gain swiftness from it while I already have swiftness.

Is it meant to be that way?
Any other forms of gaining swiftness doesn’t work that way so why does this one?

EVERY time I enter a new instance / map / whatever. It’ll take a good 10 – 20 seconds for the “camera” to actually follow my character. My Character doesn’t even render for me, all the other players and the map will load in fine BUT my character.

My character can move, use skills etc and other players will see it fine other then myself. It is very very annoying as I always have to wait a good 10 – 20 seconds every map transition before I can actually move. This was fine prior to the stability patch.

This isn’t a server issue as nothing seems to be wrong with the server reporting my location / skills to other players. It seems like the client is simply not loading in the Character forwhatever reason.

With Retreat + Save Yourselfes + Symbol of Swiftness as a Guard I can get upto 2m45 of swiftness before it caps out.

However with my GFs Ranger using Swiftness on shouts, she can only get upto 2m15 of swiftness before it caps out.

So the “Invisible stacks” seems like the best explanation =].

I was in the same boat as you with the Guard so I’ll try to give you somethings that I figured that kept people happy 9/10 in pugs in Dungeons. Not done much outside of that.

Take what I say with a pinch of salt cause I haven’t read all that many guides and I’m kinda pushing my Guard to be more tanky as I find I wipe more often when I go zerkers.

Purging Flames – Very nice Condi Removal and if the Group is stacking makes it a very good AoE Condi Clear for your group and the residual effect is that Conditions don’t last as long either. Its a fire field to boot for might stacking while fighting.

Hallowed Ground – Provides Stability as well as boons lasting longer. So anything you give to your team will last an extra 10% I believe. Again used if the group is stacking and another fire field is always nice.

I tend to have Wall of Reflection for the 3rd slot but it changes often depending. WoR if were stacking and I know that there’s going to be projectiles otherwise I tend to use “Stand your Ground” for the extra stability if you need it or “Hold the Line” for the extra Regen + Protection.

For Weapons I tend to use Hammer / something. I like the Hammer Auto Chain with the Symbol of Protection and the Mighty Blow (3 Secs CD Blast Finisher). GS is my go-to Second weapon. Mainly because I have 2 Handed Weaponed Skills on a shorter CD with traits. The blind Rotation is nice when your group is more spread out.

Sword + Shield if things are a little more mobile or you need more Projectile blockers (Shield of Absorption / Zealots Defense (?)). Shield of Judgement is meh though, the cone kinda kills it for me cause I normally have to step back to get those that are more to the side. Not used Focus or Torch so can’t really comment on those.

Sceptr for anything ranged. Other then that though I don’t really use it.

But like I said, this is mainly what I found while playing so take anything with a pinch of salt. Guard is perfectly viable for PvE its just getting used to where people stack in Dungeons and making sure the enemies get there. Watching a few youtube vids to see where stuff needs to be helped me a lot when learning dungeons. If you really can’t find any then just saying in the LFG that your new I’m sure someone would come and help =].

Pistol Range Bug

The new update has updated “Ricochet” to add 150 range to the Pistol. This I assume is all Pistol Skills (so range of 1050) for the Theif.

This however does not affect Vital Shot and that the #1 skill of the Pistol and the skill is still 900 range. I will upload a screen shot when I get home.
