Most boring night i have ever had in W3, and this was suppose to be this “T1” epic defending tactics of EMP?

Don’t think you guys weren’t frustrated when FEAR deployed +6 omegas against our 2 that were up nearly all day.

It was a fun fight nevertheless, it was EMP’s 1st time in full fighting force against old friends of JQ(TW) and we are humble enough to say you guys definitely diserverd at NA’s end result.

Yet that doesnt mean it was right of TW message every one of our leaders/commanders stating how bad we are which clearly isnt the case seeing as we held most of our JQB better then any other day so for in NA prime since SoR joined T1.

To bring another point, why do you think we would ever partake in open field combat when we have over 7 fortifications to defend on our own borderlands with stuff we had prebuilt? Sorry but I’d rather have you guys come to us at our defense hence the functionality of forts. Maybe they help hold PPT? Who would have known.

Sometimes its not all about the field fights and flipping faster then other servers. Maybe a defense game is best sometimes.

Swich the odds, lets see SoR start with a fully upgraded map against JQ’s best pushing guilds.

Oh wait, havent seen 3x waypoints ever on SoR during NA, scratch that…..

Nevertheless, we here In EMP had a fun time defendeding against all the SoR NA powerhouse guilds and you guys have every right to be in tier 1, SoR has worked for it. TW,Choo,FEAR,CDS to name a few.

Lets just tone down the illogical, ego boosting, my guild is better then yours, remarks and create a better server to server relationship.

Why I did not take part in any of this messaging of commanders. I do wish to know what class you run? Guardian I believe right?

You want even numbers? No Queue on our own borderlands:
Fear, TW, hitting bay, and then Tysm and VoTF hitting hills. We would teleport to one keep, wipe you, teleport to the other, wipe the other server. Back and forth back and forth until the both of you gave up and left the map.

Then later TW, and Fear show up again, and this time you clearly outnumbered us (and dont give me any bullkitten about this one. Your zerg in hills clearly had at least 20 more people than we did, and you were hitting bay at the same time) and we still held for ages. And while you were doing this, we took bay and hills on your borderlands (because you had sent so many people to our BL rather than defend your own home)

All this talk of JQ pvdooring, but the only time SoR ever seems to take anything is when we’re outnumbered by miles. Ofc they then come brag about it on the forums, and then to top it off complain that we’re outnumbering them! It’s hilariously laughable.

I honestly cannot count the number of times today that noodles would broadside a zerg, kill 20+ people in the first skills, and then not 30 seconds later, another zerg, just as, if not larger, than ours would rush us. And then you have the absolute gall to talk about open field fights as if they were some end-all measure of skill. Spoiler alert: your own numbers were winning you most of those open field engagements, not any individual or team skill. You werent portal bombing, stacking, ambushing, or anything that requires more co-ordination than “follow the commander” you were rushing forward and winning by sheer force of numbers.

Go watch tysm sometime. They actually engage zerg fights with a bit of thinking. I know when tysm is attacking us because it comes out of nowhere. With SoR it’s always “Oh hey, look at the 60 people making a mad dash towards us. I bet they’ll brag about winning this fight later even though they’ve got double our numbers”

Super special funfact time:
We had no queue on any borderlands for at least 4 hours of primetime NA
Our EBG queue was 10 minutes long, even when we were holding mendons/anz and attacking the overlook.

Hell I dont even know why I expected any change in SoR. Back when I was fighting you from fort aspenwood months ago you were the exact same. We all used to joke that the most arrogant players had all somehow wound up on the memorial server. But hey, whatever, I guess T1 doesnt actually change servers.

Probably gonna get an infraction for this post. But someone had to lay down the truth.

For all you members in tysm, VoTF, and the rest of SoS, keep fighting the good fight.
For those of you in Choo, keep running those pain trains on EBG (and maybe dont kill my yaks so much ;__;)
For the rest of you (and TW especially) maybe take a step back and re-evaluate yourselves.

This is the biggest misconception I see in this thread. SOR actually has a very large SEA/EU team. It’s at least as big as JQs. during this time, JQ has 1 zerg, and then like 10 people watching each map while the zerg rolls around and takes everything/defends. It’s not our fault you lack this simple coordination. But speaking of PvD, Ive been on JQ BL since I started playing 2~ hours ago. And theres maybe 20 JQ people on this map. While I see 50+ SOR.

You’ve basically just told us that EMP and the rest of JQ gave up on JQ BL. Getting wrecked nonstop does that to people though I guess.

As far as Im concerned—- its a shame one of these three servers will have to ever flip back to tier 2. I have huge respect for BG—- but SOR/SOS/JQ I think have all proven all they have to prove this match. Scores have been tight— and no one server is really outside of beatable this week. JQ has the advantage as the only server with solid 24/7 coverage—- and Im not knocking them for it—- but the fact that they can hold such a crucial advantage and for the scores to still be this close really says something for everyone. So from SOS to JQ and SOR—- good fights….. actually, Great Fights!. Thank you!.

My sole complaints—- culling AOE is being used by all 3 servers. I don’t know that Id call it a clever use of mechanics since we all know culling is busted, but I struggle calling it an exploit either since its being used so much by everyone these days. In any chase, it does feel a little cheap. I hope Anets AOE nerfs get here soon, and I really wish they would find a way to fix culling—- but I suppose those are complaints for another thread.

Again though, it was fun this week.

JQ is OP. A better matchup would be BG, SoR, SoS. JQ is just a little too piled on. I’m sorry for saying this in advance great job to JQ for the recruitment and this is only addressed to some JQ that have transfered there during off peak hours…Not the whole server… but I hope you enjoy PvDooring cuz thats all your going to be doing. If you find PvDoor fun more power to you. consider moving to another server when you get bored of fighting no one. But your welcome to do whatever you want just don’t expect fun battles when there is no one to fight. But maybe you like fighting no one so just do what you do. grats.

Sorry your upset but the WvW scores are out of any one individual’s control. I wouldnt get all bitter and mad because it’s a 24/7 7 day server match not guild vs guild or individual vs individuals. Ive been looking at SoS and SoR’s population each day and night randomly and both servers are always full. Why SoS and SoR doesnt have full maps 24/7 is something only that server’s leaders can answer because the population is logged in 24/7.

Anyway the week isnt over yet but I wanted to say thanks to all the fighters from all servers for this week’s match. All three servers are worthy of t1 and are champions in their own right.

JQ has never been a weekend server, if we are within 10-15k of SoS on Sunday it’s a win in my book. Should get interesting down the stretch. Always fun to see the excitement new servers bring up to T1. Long queues aside, some pretty fun fights thus far.

This^ JQ honestly has this match won. They just got the numbers game won. Their 24/7 is coverage crazy. Sure SoS and SoR can keep these zerg and zerg buster squads going at all hours during the weekend but only JQ can keep them going all week long. JQs guild list is just so long that if only 1-2 from each guild plays during their “off-peak” hours they can fields full zergs effortlessly with no coverage gaps. That is what wins Matches.

You are underestimating SoR immensely, don’t think SoR will slow down just because its the weekdays. We’ll go without sleep just to keep this match going to the very end. Since they are messing with rankings after this match up, why not go all out?

Seemed more like the ques were messed up somehow. Either way it does feel good to be back in T1.

We also had the same thing happen across the SoR BLs. The moment reset happen, about half a second later we had 3-7hr Qs….We checked around and only the people that are usually in wvw were in it. No JP no AFKs.

Anet kittened the ques up somehow, because Im hearing multiple people say their bl only has about 20 ppl in them and yet their having 5hr ques. Its irritating because for all servers reset night is a huge night and to be screwed over of having your full crew run and getting stuck in these qs from hell is kitten and messes up everyone.

For example, one of my friends was in Q right when reset started and didn’t get into it until after 6-7hrs even when people he knew were getting in faster then him after qing after him.

You challenged what I said by listing out a specific class build. I said that it would be basically us not being able to kill each other. You forget I also said it comes down to skill at some point because I’m spec’d so that I “CAN” kill any class easily, but if I’m not as skilled as them then of course I’ll lose.

Just because you are spec’d with a build that CAN win doesn’t mean you WILL win.

I have lost 1v1s before everyone has no matter what the build.

Guardians are fine. The way I am spec’d I can 1v1 any class easily and win, it all comes down to skill at that point for me. If they are more skilled they win, if not I win. As for a guardian having a low hp pool, that shouldn’t really matter so stop complaining. A good guardian can wreck with low hp easily.

Show me a video of you 1v1ing a DD ele who is not uplevelled or a complete noob. I want to see it. PVP is about more than 1v1 anyways.

Guardian class is pretty balanced. Has been for some time.

TBH this is guardian forum. I don’t care if Necros have more issues etc.

My only point is that there are lots of things that could be improved to make the class more fun. I would like to see them put EQUAL time into this.

- many useless utilities
- zeal line needs looking at
- toughness for all classes
- CD too long on some skills
- both ranged weapons need looking at
- general disatisfaction with shield

Sorry only answered part of your post. Yes there is some things that could be worked on for guardians, but overall guardians are fine as they are. Zeal tree is iffy, there is alot to work with there but it doesn’t show for much as the other trees do even in combination. Staff I believe does its role well. Scepter I would like to see a bit more idk BAM to it.

Edit: Made a mistake lol. Anyways, shield is still useful in its own. The 5 skill still excellent in fights.

Yea Hills was sieged up and was a blast to defend all day. My favorite moment was wiping 6 golems in 5 seconds on the north hills gate.

That spawn tower was the best thing about the night, the loot was quite nice there too, until you brought more friends.

Also it is pretty easy to lose rating in a system that rewards losers and not winners. SoR is also losing rating this week.

You’re right that is wrong, it would be sorta like bragging about winning when you have a better coverage then the other two servers, but we all know no one in this tier does that.

That was epic. We were able to hold them in the lords ring and whittle them down after their initial massive golem rush. Most of us wound up with some decent repair bills after… but it was soooooo worth it xD

We were not sure we did a 100% Mesmer sweep, that may of been the issue, however you can’t blame the our server for immediately assuming it was a person exploiting it. There has been several attempts and successful exploiting into Bay’s walls by the Icoa guild.

It wasnt the icoa guild there it was HB + a few pugs.

Read post above yours, the mesmer from icoa that usually does it was there. We’re not saying its HB.
