the solution for warrior and thieves isn’t to nerf everything else…
A nerf is deserved when u can’t do anything to “counter” it.
Like the perma port revenant —> 5 sec CD
Too many burns on D/D ele —> nerf burn duration
Mesmer abusing of mantras —> cd start at the last use
The thing i don’t like about your post is you describe Elite spec as a totally different profession. But in this case, elite spec is 1/3 of the same-old-core profession.
Why that elite spec is that Overpowered then? cause(for me) the 3rd trait line of the core prof isn’t that usefull … and the elite spec gives more than the other trait lines left … that’s it …
To fix that, anet just need to rework only one trait line from the profession they want to fix (if they want to make elite spec more balanced) but i’m fine with the elite state for now.
Skyhammer is a map like another … the fact u don’t like it doesn’t mean some ppl doesn’t too. that reason isn’t good enough to delete it.
then … listening to the community (especially on the forum) isn’t a great idea. There’s probably only 10% (or less) of comments which are really helpfull and well wrote. So listening to the community … ok but not giving everything they ask. It would be gamebreaking.

well Heavy armor and high HP pool + regen is kinda good defenses … for a glassy build. some hasn’t that much either.

Water overload is fine if u take not hit for 5 sec… cause the amount of healing during it is quite low =)
the last heal tick is fine ^^ and it cleanse enough condies… (but it’s still the weaker overload)
the rest is fine for celestial build for me (again and again celestial…)

Thief does fine vs revenant in 1v1. Land a steal and abuse of slow … The revenant is almost dead after that. (ofc it has blocks – evades – heals but … with a cast)
Thus, UA is buggy with slow apply on the revenant . Instant Stealth just stop UA.
So I guess the complete developer silence on this topic means that it’s true that we won’t get a balance patch for about 4-5 month…

well EACH elite spec has its own artwork . the same one that they created for each releases.
So it seems fair enough . Tempest has changed too
reaper and P/P engineer (sinister) are the best condi dealer needed in here
the best Way to “counter” UA is instant stealth … it just rupts the channeling (even if the revenant is still evading till the end of the duration of the “normal” skill)

We actually do have background story to how humans and other sentient beings on tyria learned magic from the original guild wars. A example i mentioned before was the Nolani academy where they were teaching magic to students.
Even the “new” guild wars 2 professions such as guardians have SOME lore other than " we just slapped monks and paragons together and bam->guardians"
In fact, its not just sentient beings who learned magic. Grawl, elementals, jotun, gargoyles,imps and other creatures learned magic. I also think wooden potatoes saying (tho i’m not sure if this is true..) that because of how magic “works” in the world even a random bunny could learn how to cast meteor showers….
And revenants learned magic from the mist … yeah o/ (your argument is no more than that)

full condi versus DS the match should last forever if its 1v1. you have tankiness while ele got immunity

but i do agree DS trait seem too strong for ele which already got nice cleanse abilities.
warrior immune for 10 seci think when the immunity ticks it should have some icd like 5 sec . than you have some window to attack him untill he is immune to condi again

60 sec? lel… it takes me 2min 30 to restart the game and come back in (loading screen and slow game start after a crash…)
60 sec is a little excessive … 15 min was way too much … (fix it to 5min)
But … it’s the same class … to be able to play the druid spec, u have to create a RANGER first !

druid is the ranger’s elite spec… u ’r still using 2 other specs from the ranger + the elite spec
so saying that ranger =/= druid is kinda stupid … it’s just new mechanincs and 1 new weapon (+ 1 another from vanilly ranger)

ele getting nerf multiple times cause too OP (and tempest sucks compared to vanilly ele) and DH is BS =D (cause of instant traps + daze + stealth + full AOE block on shield of courage, etc)

Ele meteor shower 2 hits 4k = 8k + aether blast, and thats only consume one of the utility slot skill. Yes, that is a 2 second dying.

I tried it as a Bunker in Conquest (PvP) and it worked fine =D (as i was the only bunker in the team)
Glint/ventari on a point is almost unkillable (except if too many condi pressure)

ofc aura share builds are fine with staff (earth-water-tempest) and shouts.
Even if ppl like the Dagger/focus aura share more (with the same traits) cause weapons skills have 1 more aura than staff and has more survivability.
I quite like the staff cause it has so many options =D can lock someone into the air overload with a static field or stuck someone with the earth overload in ur meteorshower =D
