Vabbi have only fought RoF 3 times, and only one of those before you left – which was when they were rank 19, in the 2nd matchup since they ended the 24hour ones. That’s over a year ago.

“Top wvw guild”, the only guilds that have tried that are Xaoc and FRS… and it sure didn’t fail cos of hackers, if anything they brought them with them as I don’t remember hearing about any before that.

Just incase you missed the points that monkeymonger made higher up, a blobs is not the same thing as aGUILD blob, 20+ pugs are fightable with low numbers, 20+ guild players on comms are not (especially when you throw in fixed builds).

I shall decline such a proposal, both because I don’t agree with server alliances/whateveryouwannacallem and also because skill lag in EB is kittened.

I had wondered if that was you The null fields you drop can be quite troublesome with us barely being over the AoE cap!

The main thing that makes small vs many possible (as we don’t have the luxury of permanently up boons / consant cleanse that the raids do, let alone the aoe cap part or the numbers to instantly down while wearing full pvt) is that most pugs hestitate to push. You can see in the vale and later tower fights, when you charge it causes real pain.

I stunned far too early on those steps because having noticed the commander was a mesmer, I saw a wall of some sort (probably our line of warding) appear at the bottom of the stairs and thought it was a veil!

Regardless of outcome – win or lose – that night, and the entire week, has been some of the most fun we’ve had in a very long time. WSR has been a very fun server to play against, as the majority of the zergs are right on the edge of that “can we?” area where it’s doable if we just get some good luck and the right location, and most guilds run similar numbers. It’s what we moved to Vabbi looking for, sadly it doesn’t look like it will last.

NP came to ros for the fights

Little over a week ago when you first moved, there was more NP in EB than there were Vabbi players, spawn camping and swarming every individual they could find. Sure the german servers/RoF might put up some fight, but that’s not even 50% of the servers you’ll be fighting, I’m finding it hard to believe there are more “good fights” here than in silver.

Regardless of each individual guilds reasons for moving, all moving to the same server is hardly going to increase the balance/good fights/challenge/whatever of the league, hence it is not surprise people are assuming its for easy wins. Particularly moving 1 day before leagues begin.

Tonight has been probably the most boring night I’ve had since coming to Vabbi 2 months ago, Met 3 guild groups of 30+, seen 15 people peel off from zergs to chase down lone players and had skill lag in the first 3 zones I tried to play in. May as well have stayed in silver. Such a shame, as last weeks matchup was fantastic.

Thank you all for a very enjoyable week, there’s been very few moments that haven’t been fun, and almost all bad times involved an overkill raid… I have to say already in week 2 I already feel like going to play another game.

If it’s been admitted, then I apologise ^^ It’s just one of those “boy who cried wolf” situations, there are certain players who will claim it every single matchup.

Neandramathal.9536 we know there is no alliance. Dzags took second place because there was no RoF player for almost 2 days in wvw. We fought against you so you know RoF have this behavior. They got queued all borderlands and sudenlly they all go to pve and no one, not even one player stay in wvw.

Yeah I know RoF’s tendencies in terms of population swings, but some RoF players still seem to not realise this and go for other (stupid) excuses

TBH, For bronze 25 IS a blob.. more than that is just nuts. Guild raids of 20+ vs servers like WSR/Vabbi are going to find themselves very bored tbh, as they’ll be outnumbering even the pug groups.

Also, german alliance? Sigh… I wonder how many times this has been brought up on the forums over the last year…. such things don’t exist. Stop making excuses.

I Checked with guildie btw – it was Crazy Black Beast who said that was why he was there, I didn’t actually know he was with [CB] until after I made the comment in the matchup thread.

We were running 3-10 people, which is probably the maximum we’ll get while here. It’s a completely different game after leading 25+ raids for so long and we made a lot of mistakes. Still, trying to figure out how much damage we can do and when we just have to cut our losses and retreat is lot of fun so far. It’s like learning a new game.
Looking forward to fighting BNF next week!

Edit: At least i’m not aware of any guilds that would move to bronze. Given the size of the zergs on eb that i’ve seen so far, even a 20 man raid would be total overkill.

It’s a completely different game really, lot’s of fun imo! The only downside is that you often find either a fight is no challenge, or just impossible, whereas (i imagine) with a full raid you at least have a chance in the massive ones that you will take something with you even if it’s too much to handle.

Aye, 20 man raids down here are just silly, which is really why everyone is concerned about the transfers I think. There has certainly been at least one 20 man raid spotted already… holding hands with the zerg!

Aye, although WSR do normally drop off during the week, I mean hell last week Vabbi beat you! But you certainly were winning, there was a heck of a push at reset!

Ideally I’d rather none got xfers and they were locked during the season, as it was great to have a small scale bracket! But failing that, I think I’d prefer enemies to get them than a server I was on – outmanned is more fun than steamroll.

Greetings from another zerg guild that came down to ruin bronze league!

Casual Bloodshed [CB] had it’s maiden raid tonight. It’s a lot zergier than i imagined it would be, but at least i had the most interesting fights in a long time. Time to build omega golems and night blob this tier!

At least you’re only down here in small numbers (For now! :P) The zergs aren’t normally as bad, this week has been worse for all servers I think.

I was told there was a large guild moved down to kill HT, I only hope it was incorrect (in either the moving or the large!)

EB is lagging like crazy right now. Why do people not understand that it’s not the higher tiers that lag, it’s the giant zergs… most of which consist of the very people that complain about it!

Good fun in WSR BL (for some reason seems to be the zone we find the best fights in) fighting the [PvP] lot from FoW, and I believe it was [TasH] from WSR. Nice to meet some smaller guild groups, something we severely missed in the higher tiers. All 3 sides had others involved from random soloers to full zergs at various points which spiced things up well! Including siegerazer for a while ^^, Lots of fun there, thanks to all

agreed, it was pretty much the perfect example of an even 3 way fight. i’m pretty sure all 3 teams had about 10 guild dudes and all engaging at the same time.

we were then chasing [HT] around our border, win some, lose some, kite bounce some sort of stuff, but really good fights.

Our guild was running with 6/7 for most the night (1 is a thief who tends to just appear at random and isn’t on voice), but there was an engineer from [sr] with us for quite a while towards the end. [PvP] were 6 I think, no idea on yourselves. All 3 sides had pugs joining in, Fissure had lots at the start and WSR at the end, I know we (vabbi) got around 5 at various points. Regardless of numbers it was very fun.

I’m the guy who records Asura warrior, I don’t remember getting any special treatment :P (which is quite unusual!)

There is a farily new guild on the server, [Zero], who moved from Desolation and began spam recruiting (as you do).

Never heard of them .. they must have been more shy than GoD ‘coz they just don’t register..

They claimed to be from Desolation, and come across very much as “we were high on the ladder you’re not, so we’re better than you”. Guild name is Mirror [Zero], and commander is called Blame Fate/Blame Your Fate.

Yeah… see I can’t speak for rest of vabbi, but our guild loves defending more than attacking – so we won’t be agreeing to that.

Almost finished my achievements (buggy SM ticks thwart me, only got 2 on this char!) but even if I hadn’t, I’d rather earn them. You know.. they are meant to be ACHIEVED after all.

You can report from your own server ^^ All you gotta do is find him! Even better you can then take his name, pass it to other people and they can report him via adding to block/friends and right click without even having to see him.

We had the queue for EB before they joined the server. A ton of people are joining in for those achievement points.

Aye, I should’ve been more clear – the “and fow had a queue” was meant to be, “fow had a queue too” rather than “and they got a queue from them” ^^ I talk to a few FoW quite regularly and so far none have said they are happy with the arrival, and it was a vocalised quite quick.

FoW having queue’s in general is still a wtf moment though, filthy zergers! ;D

Personally, I’ve spent enough time around them.. one of the reasons we left to begin with.

If this was outside North Vabbi Bay, then you should have seen the size of the WSR Blob that was at South Bay.

We only team up when its absolutely necessary, I’m not a fan of groups that size normally. Its one of the reasons I don’t command anymore.

Well right now wsr is much much larger than FOW’s, I forgot to make a screenshot of WSR taking our keep with so many I got lag stutters like you only get in SM with big fights.

We try and stay separate from the main zerg if we can, mostly in EB but sometimes we go elsewhere, and if our BL isn’t totally red the main zerg normally abandons EB in favor of that anyway (whether they manage it or not is another matter!).

I find the Imp/Zero drama quite funny. I’m friends with both sides, and I find it sad that both sides couldn’t come to an agreement. Your on the same server for Christ sake, if you cant stand each other, there is 3 BL’s and an EB, spread away from each other, and behave lol.

There’s nothing to come to an agreement over that’s the thing, we are quite happy to co-operate with people if they ask us nicely – e.g “hey could you keep them busy here while we…” (although we aren’t fussed with winning so we aren’t going to be coming to weekly meetings or stuff like that ^^), but we object to people joining a zone and saying “Turn off your tags or GTFO” to other people on the server and then call anyone who disagrees with their methods useless.

As for the second thing in the evening, we had done exactly what you suggested and changed zone to get away from them.. they followed :P

It’s more Zero drama than anything, they’re aggressive to the entire server, hell it started with them telling other people to leave the zone! Only reason we are even involved (as you may have noticed we are generally quiet in game and stay separate) is because unlike most we don’t care if they leave, so we’re willing to stand up and tell them to stop acting like they own the place. We’ve had enough of big guilds coming to low tiers and throwing weight around in the past, and from what I’ve seen so do several Vabbi ^^

They claim to want to make Vabbi a more organised server, which is probably a silly idea in itself as the majority of those who are interesting in winning left a long time ago, never mind the population! Still, commendable intentions nonetheless.

The problem lies in their execution, not acting like new arrivals into an existing (albeit small) community, but acting like a new boss taking over a company. Rather than asking to work with us (which we would potentially be open to), our first experience of them in World vs World was their arrival in a zone with a tag followed by “Why do we have 2 commanders? turn your tags off now or GTFO” (we actually had 3 including them). At this point I raised an objection, that both being bossy is bad and that when you have a large enough force in a zone without many enemies it is actually sensible to split up. The response to my comment… “Who the **** are you?” and “You’re just useless noobs”. (Ironically as he didn’t know our guild tag, when someone said [Imp] did good work at reset, he said “ye guilds here are good but these guys are just noobs”).

We ran into them again a little later, which after we objected to their commander ordering us around (perhaps asking might work?) they informed us that we are trolls, noobs, and “know nothing about wvw”, “Go F*** yourselves and stop insulting people”, “No one talks to a zero commander like that you’re kitten noob” and the best one.. “Just leave the server if you arent going to work with us”.

So there you have it folks, not only is Vabbi now classable as an organised WvW server, but we have people with god complexes and mass internal drama to boot! Soon we shall be tier 1, you have been warned!

Oh absolutely, the league isn’t decided yet, but there are certain advantages they have going for them

Remember that the 1st weeks matchups are repeated at week 7, so it is highly likely if you win week 1 you win that one too, which will help your chances overall.

It also depends where the strength comes, as they are currently predicted a strong night force which isn’t too common at this end of the ladder.

Oh it’ll be the usual claims, “looking for good fights” “a true test of skill” “we aren’t afraid of fighting 40 people with our 20”

Yet moving the day before leagues to garauntee they will be fighting vs servers who barely have guilds fielding 10 people. After easy wins and rewards basically, why else would some of them be moving from top of silver (or NA gold) to bronze.

As for why they chose RoS, because the only free alternative was Vabbi, and RoS already had the security of several other guilds joining.

Had some awesome fights last night, Aldons just after reset was a blast. Once we got the walls down on green keep EB just seemed to lag up though as all 3 sides poured in there, gave our group chance to steal some more towers though Vabbi even had lead tick at one point!!

… then our zerg got tired of wiping and zoned out, so we lost all of EB – already had most of our BL gone so we ticked virtually nothing for a few hours, and now we’re all behind

Still, looking forward to this week Nice and refreshing after the spawncamp festival that was RoS towards the end.

RoS got so many new people at the end, it probably had to do with that. They are winning quite easy while in the past could not win from bt zergs.

RoS seems to have that thing that makes WvW guilds choose them as transfer target – it’s 3rd time this happens, I wonder how long it will take this time until it collapses again (no offense to RoS players that stay loyal to their server, whether it’s good or bad )

The ones I’ve seen popup in this past week:

[KISS] – Moved from NA
[FoF] – Moved from Kodash
[NP] – Moved from Aurora Glade
[WvW] – (Bt War) Moved from Blacktide
[RoT] – Moved from FoW
[VM] – Moved from Underworld (think theyve been there a bit longer though?)
[DEX] – Moved from Underworld (but were originally on Surmia so it’s not really bandwagoning)

I’m sure there’s at least one more I’m forgetting, I know [WAR] moved from Whiteside but I think that was quite a while ago. Once more though we have big raid guilds moving to a place where there generally aren’t raid guilds to fight, 20man hammertrains running around veiling and stacking might vs Vabbi’s pug force of less players. Building superior trebs for every objective regardless of defenders.

TBH The most interesting thing in that screenshot was that other than the [AT] tag, all those players were on other servers a week ago :P

Seeing a few tags from FoW on RoS this week, people like to hop about heh!

Also I see Princess Jenny has hopped back, seems to move every single week between Vabbi/RoS. One week it was “I’m from RoS, you guys suck” next it’s “I’m really from Vabbi, just visiting Surmia” and things like “I’ll lead our guys to a tower so you can take this keep from us”. Despicable, Vabbi/WSR ganging up against Surmia would make sense for a more balanced matchup, but trying to have people within RoS deliberately lose stuff is stupid regardless of whos side she’s ‘really’ on – we’re here to fight not be handed things on a platter!
