It may have took the OP 1 month farming dragons, while I know people that have been farming dragons AND trying his luck on the mystic toilet. Back when, transfers didn’t have any restriction(any at all, people could change server, as changing characters), ANet said it was ok to do it, I don’t see why they would care about it. Before you say they placed the restriction on transfers because of this, no they didn’t, they placed the restriction because it was affecting the WvW.

Instead of making them in a open world where lag, unrendering and other bad things that the huge overflow of players bring. Make them in a instanced area, that work like those quest instances. It would be easier to control, as you can set it be made only once per character and fix most of issues had with this event and the halloween one. It also could be set to be available for a time frame, so every time zone could get a shot on the event.
Worst Story: CoE(I hate those Inquest Blasters) tied with TA(Flame Golem, ugh) and Arah(do I need to say why?)

AC pales in comparison to HotW. High level loot, guaranteed 6 rares each day on the first run, jormag, ori nodes nearby.

AC final boss of each path drops 15s. Also, some of the Champion Howlers drop anywhere between 5-15s.
CoE is better if you’re lucky, charged cores and lodestones sell for something like 1g and 2g+ respectively. Also, it’s worth mentioning that the corrupted mobs in the beginning can drop corrupted lodestones/cores, and destroyers can drop their lodestones and cores too (although most people skip the destroyers)
So AC if you want reliable income. CoE if you’re feeling lucky.

And if you use Ommomberry Bars, You will get 27 silvers from bosses and around 9 silvers from champions. The bar will last your the entire run if you get a good group going.
What else can be said. Everyone pretty much stated everything that’s wrong on WvW.
I’m not part of a big guild(my choice) and most of them don’t do WvW(their choice) so I’m often roaming alone around the map, more often than not, a zerg will find me(since it doesn’t render everyone) and kill me before I have any chance of do anything at all. And when I’m following the people on my server, it’s just a zerg rolling up against other solo players…wich get’s old pretty fast.
So, why waste my time in something that I’m not enjoying?

LOL you will have to run 23 times the same instance with the certain that you will get the set you want at the end of it, while in other games I have runned around 100 times the same instance and didn’t get what I wanted(Aion for example).

Another flaw on Sanctuary is the AoE limit on skills, if you are being zerged by mobs and try to use it to make some breath room for you and your team(Ex: AC trap room), only 5 mobs will be pushed away, the rest will be on top of you beating you to death.

My set is also full AC armor with Chrysocola trinkets.
I use this to be the front line, helping the group taking the conditions from them and from myself.
I also change some shouts with consecrations like Wall of Reflect and Sanctuary as it’s needed on Dungeons like AC and CM. Burning Virtues of Justice is your friend, since killing a foe resets it, putting 3 stacks of might on you and your allies, can make things fall faster(even more with a Warrior spamming “For the Great Justice” all time) and the aoe blind from it also helps keeping the party up most of time, in this case, binding blade is your best friend.
For the secondary weapon I tend to switch between sword+focus and scepter+shield, depending on the fight.

Not only that, but the fact that even on a alt, you don’t have privacy, kinda bothers me.
You know, sometimes I just wanna do something different, like represent another guild or no guild at all and out of the blue you start getting hammered about why you are not representing the guild, that your main is, on your alt. It’s annoying, my alt shouldn’t be listed on a guild, unless I chose it to.
I remember that there was some vocal(minority) people complaining about having to get the same dye they already had to another character and a dev said they would look on it.
I remember that on the last BWE that a dev, said that they were going to implement dyes account bound, instead of character bound, is this still a future change or it was discarded?
You can Ctrl click the target, then everyone else press T to target it (Ctrl + T works too for current target)… But yeah, still the issue is that I’m pretty sure that the rest of the casual team will never beat this.
I’ll get through it, it’s just a shame that a lot of people won’t.This thread was really mostly aimed at the developers, I want to know if they have any plans in the future for dungeons, possibly easy mode etc.
Sorry, but the Story Mode is the easy mode, so don’t get any hopes of anything changing it.
I also play with friends that are casuals and some of them are also new to mmo concept, knowing this, me an old mmo player, felt that it was my responsability to know how to do things and explain it to them. Also, they being casual, they are always asking how to do things on their own, when I’m not around.
Sorry if your friends are having trouble to finish a instance, but don’t go on assuming that because they can’t, everybody else will not.

No, the point isn’t it’s an exotic or a rare, at lvl80 it’s a no brainer and like I said, it’s extremely easy to get a lvl80 exotic that it’s mostly irrelevant.
No, I don’t shoot for T3 culture armor. I’m shooting for the full CM suit for my second character, a War. Right now a good run last for 1.5 hours while an average run tend to last about 2.5 hours. So an average 2 hour for 20 tokens. The whole set costs around 1100 token so … 110 hours? Maybe shaving off 20-30 hours for the daily that give 30 tokens and the assumtpion that the run become faster as people get more experience. Still, that gonna be a lot of hour needed for the look I want, do you see me complaining it excessive? No, because I already settle and understand that it will be a month long goal for me, that it will be something I plan to “achieve”. The time when I deck out that armor will be a shown of my accomplishement, just like a full T3 set is supposed to how rich you are. And no, it doesn’t attain to the “I want this and I want to have it in a week”, sorry it’s not supposed to work that way.
In fact, how is 119g is bad. I’m sitting at 20g right now and that is after a lot of unsavy spending on my first toon and a bizzare spending to deck out my elementalist in Exotic. I never played the market, I don’t farm, I don’t do anything special. So excuse me, your T3 culture set in my opinion, require a lots LESS afford than what I’m shooting for. Oh btw, adding insult to injury, the CM’s set is actually LvL70, not 80. But like I said it’s “ALL” about the skin. I already have the stat I want, it doesn’t matter if the skin is a lvl80 exotic or a lvl1 white.
So what? You are farming for the skin of lvl 70 EXOTIC gear using tokens and you are comparing it with a rare iten with WORSE stats than it? Ferrari vs BMW again?
So if you had the 119g+gold needed to buy the transmutation stones, would you blow it all up on a skin? Would you risk using all you have, and not be able to use waypoints(to do events to farm money/karma on Orr’s maps), would blow up the money for repairs of those occasional deaths on exploration modes? And if you made another build and got another set to do a specific build(like one set for dungeons and another for WvW) but want to keep both sets, whould you blow all 119g again?
I don’t understand why people keep saying “it’s just for the skin”, because the skin is pretty all what it is. Guild Wars 2 end game is not about stat, since you can get the best stat within probably 3 days to at most a week after you ding 80. It has never been about stats, it has all about skin. So yeah … the word “just” in “just a skin” make absolutely no sense in this contest.
Stat is cheap, skin is expensive, that’s what this game is.
And here lies my case, The skin is too expensive just to be a skin!! You just forget that if you are aiming for the T3 armor, you will spend 119 gold for the skin, but you will need to change it to another item, wich will make you use the lvl 80 only transmutation stone, wich, can only be bought with gems(or you can be lucky and get it on a chest) wich will cost more money if you take the route gold:>gems so it will not be ONLY 119g, it will be more. And that’s not even counting on the weapon, wich costs 66k karma points(wich btw, is the same amount of the EXOTICS that you can get in Orr)
That’s not expensive, it’s over charge….

In the original Guild Wars, there were several armors that would only be worn by players with tons of in-game gold to spend or enough time & the proper build to farm the high-level areas for materials. These armors provided absolutely zero combat benefit over the ones you could craft for cheap in the main cities. The fact that these GW2 cultural armors only cost gold removes the rare-material-farming restriction to showing off how much money you have in game (or possibly how much real world cash you spent in the gem store to convert to gold). Just because you can’t afford it doesn’t make it absurd. There’s a reason we all don’t drive Lamborghini’s and Ferrari’s in real life when we can drive a dirt cheap Honda. Just wait until they release some super-hard dungeon modes in the future with extremely rare crafting materials resembling pink snot globs that will end up costing about 10x what you spent on your tier 3 cultural armor.
Funny thing is, in the last Stress test and on the Head start, the whole T3 set costed LESS than 10g(not only the T3, but the Orders set was about 1g the whole thing). Then a update came, after the first wave of bans for people farming items using a exploit in the game and they placed the items at those absurd prices. So I don’t see your point, when the items had a much lower value in the first place and got this overprice without any (given) reason.
Let’s face it, The Cultural items are(for the most part) vanity items, because a item of the same lvl has better stats, but the price charged for the cultural ones are way up for just be for skins. Theres no sense to pay absurd amounts of gold(100g for T3 set…), for a skin, that still, needs a transmuter that you need to spend gems to get it(or being extremely lucky to get one of the black lion chest), making the cost be too high only for the skin
If what people are saying is true, that some guys were using the T3 items to farm for mats, then change their rarity, there’s no need for them being rare, since they are easily outclassed by drop/craft anyway.

Sorrow’s Embrace Story Mode
Defend Zojja – We got a instance where the event to defend Zojja while she opens the door was bugged out. As soon Caithe finished the cutscenes, the door was already opened and the mobs kept spawning forever. No amount of killing seemed to put it on end, making it impossible to complete.
There’s a few events on the server that aren’t working for 2, maybe 3 days straight. Some of those that I’ve found are:
The Claw of Jormag
The Beetletun Farms
The skill point in The Bayt Fallahin – Malchor’s Leap
and a few others that I don’t remember
I don’t know if this is a bug or it’s intended, but as I’m leveling, I’m seeing the cost of armors repairs and waypoints scaling pretty well, while I hardly see any changes on the karma/coins rewards. At lvl 40, I was getting around 200 karma points and 1s 30c, now at lvl 67, doing both hearts and DE’s of my lvl is resulting in 270karma points and 1s 70c.
