I don’t know if thieves use smoke screen much. If not, they’ll use CnD twice for the combo: CnD, Steal, Backstab, Evade/dodge until you can CnD again.
By op’s combat log, he opened with cluster bomb, following with a backstab, the conclusion I got from that, is that he used cluster bomb for blast finisher to get stealth. And by the op’s word, he didn’t waited long enough for use 2xCnD after the backstab.

It’s a pitty that the changes they did on TA wasn’t what the community really wanted. Instead of helping a path that had a bug that could be fixed, we ended with a abandoned path, with unskippable cutscenes and random drops. There are a few good ideas to it, but the downside of the new path wages more against them.

I know a bunch of people who farmed their sets back when only bosses droped tokens and people would enter the dungeon, kill the first boss and leave and do the same thing untill they get the amount they needed.

Can we have some change on Glacial Heart, for guardians? Right now, it’s Master trait that does exacly what a Sigil of Hydromancy does, with a huge cd attached on it and RNG, as it depends on Hammer crits to proc. Could it have rework to make it a bit more appealing?

But there’s a way to make sure that all 5 players are there, the “I’m ready” button. A match should ONLY starts when ALL players click it. If not, give it some time and kick it if the player has not changed his stats, and grab someone else from the queue.

Considering that rings are available for laurels (or laurels and badges…) and devs already mentioned that backpacks will be available through non-fractal means soon…

And this is why I don’t bother with Fractals, there’s no really meaning on farm for skins there, since it’s RNG based, it may drop on the first run or on your 1000th one…so I rather spent my time doing other things.

You can get away from the target area and btw stomp the guy that has skyhammer it’s simple. Bring CC and you’re done.
Same thing with the treb in Khylo and the cannon in Capricorn, you can either leave the area or stomp the guy using it and you can also dodge the shots. On top of it, you can even destroy them.

I’ve read that typical CoF party is a 4 bers warriors + support mesmer, is it still true? Im just curious what’s the cheapest way to make myself viable in dungeons, and rabid gear might work if I’ll be supportive/tanky (well, I can keep half of it).
Still interested in gear requirements, since not like I have much of gold, just finished getting exotics for gold/karma, for my first 80.
IMO CoF is not the best example to follow, most of the people who run a 4war+mes are “speed runners”(but in fact, they are not, because they don’t even know the best dps rotation and all they do is hurr durr 100blades), so take any guide for it with a grain of salt.
You can run with pretty much any build with pugs(as long you don’t join a zerk gear only), after you get used to run dungeons, you can try and change your build.

Got agree with Nikaido, the path is not neither long or hard to justify it being 3g, if anything, it’s as fast a CoF 2. The only thing about it is the broken spider respawn and even then, it’s possible to beat it.

“n fact, if you review the packet loss in Ping Plotter, it appears to be isolated to “hop” # 10 and 11. When I do a reverse IP lookup for those IP address, they come back with the following owners:
- 65.205.119.210 – Verizon Business – Brownwood, Texas
- 64.25.32.9 – NCSoft – This one actually does belong to us.
So while #11 is producing some packet loss, much of that is coming from the data already lost in “hop” #10. So what we need to do here is a two pronged approach. I will be contacting our network engineering teams to have “hop” #11 looked into and this packet loss issue resolved. However, we also need your ISP to address the packet loss leading into “Hop 11” from “Hop 10.” Until that is resolved, the packet loss on “hop 11” may continue because the data is being lost prior to reaching that “hops.”"

Also got a response saying it’s my ISP, wich for once, is not at fault as everything else seems to work just fine. Also, if you look the PingPlotter Report you will notice that the router that loses the packet is within the IP range of the server you are tracing, wich means it’s a problem within their network and they don’t care to assume it.

Hey there guys, I’ve been playing gw2 since launch and quit a few times and recently came back and leveled an ele to 80. I was never fond of the dungeons but recently decided to give it a try, Yes I’ve never ran a single dungeon on gw2!
So I was trying to find a good build for an ele for mostly cof farming without being kicked from the party for not being a warrior or w/e they ask for now.
Would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!
Unless you are running with a dedicated group, you will get booted from most cof pugs for not being a warrior/mesmer/guardian with no questions asked.

It used to get alot more attention, now it’s getting pretty hard to find people to run it. Last night I was trying to find a group to run with and there was only 3 posts on LFG, when it used to be like 10~15. I guess people just wanted to farm a easy berserker gear and moved on to CoF1, because it doubled the size in the last week.

I have, but it didn’t worked out as I wanted, because you can’t specify what you are looking for.
Example, you are in Mount Maelstrom and you want to find a party to run CoE, and you set up the flag that you are looking for group and by some miracle someone saw that you were lfg and invited you, only to you find out that he’s doing the Destroyer event.

TL;DR Haven’t gotten into GW2 dungeons yet. Why do people seem more angry about class discrimination rather than the profession-balance issue that causes it.
Because part of the comunity thinks it’s a issue with L2P and not a class balance problem. There’s alot of legitimates complains about how subpar or how broken some traits are on determined classes, but those are quickly dismissed by the elitism saying that you have to learn to play and use the trait x and y instead for “optimum” results. Thus creating the discrimination towards someone that doesn’t run build x or y.
The other part of the comunity are waiting for the balance, promesed by devs since the betas(IE: Ranger) and fixes for the bugs that hinders others(IE:Engs).

Running fractal on my ele, when we hit the Solid Ocean.
On the last plataform, fighting the Irukandji, I target it and use RTL to close the gap, only to have it teleported and me riding to the botton of the pit.

With the update, I noticed a few new bugs on COE:
On Submarine path, there’s 2 Bjarl the Rampager one on top of the other.

It seems like only a visual glitch, but sometimes, when he targets someone, that’s behind the pillars, to charge on him, he get stuck, like if was getting dazzed all the time. To fix that and make he move again, the person wich is the target has to move away from the pillar.
On Teleporter path, it seems that Alpha’s AoE atks are bigger than the area show by the circles. It happened multiple times, me being outside the red cicle, trying to ress someone downed and get hit by one of his atk. Sometimes, I just walked out of a circle and waited for the atk to land(usually a dragon tooth) and still got downed by it.

I don’t see why there should be any prestige at all, before, people could just waypoint rush back to most fights and ignore the fight mechanic in the first place….so what’s the difference now?

He is not talking about player behaviour. He means that ANET is tweaking the dungeons with the assumption of 5xlvl80 players when they should keep it possible to do at the required level, also.
He starts saying that, but it ends up as a complaint about people not acepting a lvl 35 on a lvl 80 party. This is not anet’s fault, this is the player behavior, just plain and simple. A have run this with people bellow 40 multiple times, some times it ended in dissaster, others not I even got a video recorded with a lvl 52 doing p2 in ac, so no, anet is not tweaking dungeons for only lvl 80 in mind, they actually tried to improve the lvl scaling fuction to make lvl 80 equiparable to a the lvl they are scaling.

I haven’t played AC after the update, but it just seems like plain elitism of their part. Most people only want to run their dungeon as fast they can and do something else and on their mind, having someone lower than 80 geared or not, will slow them down. But again, I’m yet to see yesterday changes.

They have only used Guild Bounties, one of 5 Guild Missions, as an example. That requires rank 5 AoW.
There are 4 other guild missions:
Guild Trek
Guild Challenge
Guild Rush
Guild Puzzle
They could all be in different tracks. They could all be tied to the AoW track. We don’t know.
However, ALL that we know is that 1 guild mission is tied to AoW rank 5.
It’s not a example, Guild Bounties is the first guild mission that we will have access, it’s on the Colin says it on this article aswell what Anthony replied in this topic
