what are the current stats?
the 3% magic find might be gone, but it could’ve gotten new stats already.

They’re now just saying: Players, if you want karma, stop failing events on purpose!‘’ they don’t longer reward us for failing events which in my opinion is a good thing.

Though you might have to get used to it at first, it’s fun!
This would allow some new fun content:

Events: -

Mini-games: e.g. (be it player-made…) take WvW: We’ve got Asura-Soccer/football. why not Asura-Ice Hockey?

Jumping puzzles: Yes, this would be quite troublesome for some but it’s different than jump here, jump there.

Combat: I’m not sure if there are still a lot of stationary skills but this effect would allow you to run up to a foe, use the stationary skill, continue sliding, see the skill’s effect, slide further along and possibly evade your foes’ attacks (without the use of endurance) (I think some ’’volley’’ attacks used to be stationary, otherwise think of Barrage or a guardian’s Empower)

and last but not least:
Exploration:it would add some variety and life to Tyria and the exploration of it.

possibly more could be added as well such as slipping if you’re trying to turn too quickly while under the effects of swiftness or any other movement speed enhancing skill? (I wonder how dodging would go then though )

I think the skritt is (yes this will sound like a joke) too intelligent, to be a pet. it’d be a slave! not a pet. ^^

We’re trying to be a small, friendly environment for players spread over the entire globe. our guild is stationed in the Desolation server but we’re a home for players from all [EU] to [NA] servers. our main focus is to enjoy the game without getting in the same pattern of farming all day. I also read somewhere that capes are right now quite hard to implement due to the different armours and character models. (Charr on all fours says hi!) of course the best answer to this is a new kind of cape for those characters. bu what cape would look good on a Charr and still show the cape well (for example: a guild emblem if Guild Capes were to ever return!)

- [EU] AND [NA]:
Though the server is Desolation (a European server), we’re actively busy inviting NA players too! we’re aiming to keep the guild a not too-big but friendly environment with activity spread throughout the day and a wider NA-playerbase is needed to support people from your own region. in time a NA player will be given the ability to activate missions and upgrades making sure the NA part of the guild won’t miss out on anything. (take it as two guilds merged in one, sharing influence and a kind community)

- RP:
The guild was originally meant as an RP guild, an element which has now been lost due to the lack of interest. RP might return as soon as more people are willing to join in. Any help getting the RP back up is welcome.

- WvWvW:
Though we’re not focussed on anything, we’ve got a small WvWvW squad meant to roam besides the zerg of players. though it’s of course completely fine if instead you’d choose to follow the map’s commander.

- Dungeons:
Multiple dungeon-parties have been set up as well, which you might always join. To finish any kind of dungeon, be it story mode or explorable mode. although these parties are not meant to be a ‘’hardcore dungeon-farm’’ but instead just a ‘’casual guild event’‘, you won’t be having the fastest of times and you might even fail. This of course doesn’t take away the possibility to get stronger together and possibly making it so that the ’’casual’’ dungeon players may become efficient enough to match the ’’hardcore’’ ones.

we’ll gladly answer any questions you might have as best as we can, be it game-. lore- or anything-related.

I’ve left the link here for people who agree with me that legendaries shouldn’t even be tradable.

and to make up for not posting anything useful.. Yes, I do agree that legendaries should be account bound AND retain the ability to change their stats. especially if they’re untradable. I mean you’ve worked hard for it! you should be able to do whatever you wish with it. Except for sell it, c’mon people it’s a ’’legendary’’. Twilight and other ‘’common legendaries’’ (what a weird phrase..) just haven’t felt as special as they’ve been intended to be.

you can ’’queu’’ as many guild bounty trainings as you wish, for the real guild bounty however it’s one per week.

training = infinite as long as you’ve got influence enough

real bounty = once per week.

the skin is a one-time use only, you can however transmute it onto a weapon with better stats (using transmutation stones or crystals (Note: Transmutation Crystals (the blue ones from TP or Black Lion Chests) are needed to transmute an item skin to a lvl 80 item.)

I agree we need ’’more’’ profession-based armors. you don’t want to make it so that rawhide would be ranger only. for example. I do admit that we need WAY more unique armors for classes. With which you could tell exactly what profession would use those armors. Just take the latest Gem Store additions.. Aetherblade and Magitech Ok great but I’d like my adventurer characters to look like something non-asura-engineerish as well!

in short: Yes for profession-specific armor but keep a lot of neutral armors availlable for all of that armor class. don’t restrict people from wearing a ninja mask on an engineer for example!

I’m sorry to say but I’m not too fond of this idea, the playerbase would just find a way to exploit this. I’m not sure how Neverwinter has done this but if you could explain a bit more what you’d expect in GW2, that’d be great.

also your ‘’lore-friendly part’‘:
I’m sorry to say but we currently don’t know Dessa’s origins and she’s not just an asura who decided to place an asura gate in LA and made it so that whenever you’d enter that gate you’d end up in FotM. In fact that Asura Gate was meant to belong to the Consortium (which is also the reason for it being next to their ’’office’’)Dessa is indeed an Asura researcher (probably from the past since she’s never seen any Sylvari (or at least the game implies so)). Dessa didn’t want the gate to her lab to be connected to Lion’s Arch this was all just an accident. Dessa also believes that once she leaves her lab she’ll never be able to return to the Fractals project she spends so much time on. Because of this I don’t see Dessa having a little side project to add some fun-stuff for other people or even interract with Lion’s Arch at all since she states that she thinks it’s a ‘’Pirate-filled hole’’ (or something along the lines of that, which BTW could also, yet again, suggest she’s from the past since she doesn’t seem to view LA as the respected city (or nearly nation) it is now).

in short: Dessa just doesn’t have the time to spend on this project nor the interrest to give anything to LA. (You could say the adventurers are just test-subjects.)

P.S. I do like that you want to add more content to the game of course! I’m just not sure if this is the right way… :/

I found this after a quick google search, I guess this is also what you meant with having ‘’studied the lore surrounding magic in general’’ but for a direct answer about the origins of the mesmer or elementalist I’ll have to go dig in some old lore and hope to find it, I’ll most def. return with an answer! (unless of course some lore-expert comes and beats me hehe)

First of all, try to find some friends. the game is okay to solo but once you’ve got some people around you, the game really shines. Find a guild or just some friends and do a few missions, events and eventually dungeons with them. just chat etc.

And a bit of advice, just take it easy, don’t try to rush through the content. your first time will be the best, enjoy it!

I love your idea with the same system as the reviving and for the non burning during combat how about it being easily interruptible? one hit and you’ll have to start over. (and of course only when out of combat)

I do agree that this would be a fun addition to WvW. Maybe give it an achievement and title as well?

I wonder wether this will be a:

‘’kneel @ target player and set on fire after 1 / 1.5 secs’’

or a more instant:

‘’press ’’F’’ to burn this invader’s remains’’ and then you’d just be able to spamm it for title progress or anything else after clearing a zerg.

I think the first option is best since it allows multiple people fair chances at burning corpses. We should be able to share our enemies’ corpses, not just claim them all for ourselves!

Though I’m sure there are bound to be more threads along the lines of this one, I decided to make yet another one since I could not find any of these.

Emotes, precious to most players and especially roleplayers because of their amazing ability to give more of a ’’living’’ feeling to your characters.

The suggestion is, as obviously stated in the title, more emotes.

One that especially came to mind was a ‘’/stand’’ or ‘’/stop’’ emote to get up from kneeling, sitting or to stop dancing etc. without having to resort to moving your characters’ position.

Another one would be just a simple ‘’/talk’’ emote as seen by various NPC’s

your best choice (in my opinion) is to visit the heart of the mists (look at the top left of your screen and click the crossed swords) there you’ll find 3 PvP Lockers containing NEARLY all the armor and weapons for every class. just preview to your heart’s content but beware that some armors and weapons might not appear in the locker (only a tiny few) and even less armors appearing in the Locker doesn’t exist yet (or fully) in PVE.

I’d put my money on the engineer, the ranger is amazing but the pet just doesn’t quite cut it.

EDIT: Sorry, I realized that this was quite a short and ’’easy’’ answer so I decided to at least improve on it a tiny bit.

The ranger, though able to provide DPS nearly on par with a warrior, is not in my favour since it has the pet-mechanic which slows down some (if not all) runs. (example: the Jade Maw and its laser (you don’t want your pet to get targeted (if it’s still alive that is))

The engineer however is able to provide some decent dps and conditions such as the ranger while probably being even more useful as a support-class. The engineer is also not bothered by the pet mechanism and is however able to place a small turret army if needed (I also think the turrets aren’t targetable by the jade maw but forgive me if they are.)

you might wish to continue gambling, that is IF you consider yourself a lucky person. Just remember that you got extremely lucky with getting the precursor for Quip. seeing how you want sunrise I think I would just start getting all the extra required materials and continue playing the game (maybe frequently have a few more of those 10 tries as you had now)

in short: I think it’s best to continue with what you’re doing right now and not gamble with all of your money.

It IS possible, in fact it’s what I did with my necro and a few other characters! good luck transmuting!
