Humans are… decent I guess, though the very start seemed kinda bass ackward. I used the poverty start and my initial impressions were, “oh look, logan late to the party again” at the apothecary. There is no sense of humanity on the brink of extinction. Everyone seems carefree and happy, even though all but divinity’s reach has been annihilated and even that is under siege by the centaur. Why aren’t they reaching out to the asura, sylvari, or norn for alliances?
Now for the final battle with zhaitan, in arah… it was great… but it would have been more impressive if it took place over the other nations. I hope that jormag or the other dragons feel more dangerous instead of just sitting on their thumbs waiting for the ants to build up their army and kill them.

Foreword: WTF? Also; spoilers.
Overall the story is a mess even though individual pieces are great. Some, they even brought me to tears. The death of Tybalt for instance wrenched my heart and even Forgal’s death made me sad even though I was expecting it. Can’t say I cared much when Sieran died though, she was just rather unlikable overall. There were, sadly, parts that made me wonder what happened next. Sad because what happened next always fell flat on its face.
The big problem with the story is: it feels like it was written by a thousand different people, all with a different goal and direction. Even the character dialogs feel like they were pieced together from multiple characters. During the racial story lines, the characters seemed more interesting, more likeable. The moment you step beyond you find silly choice after brain bendingly bad dialog.
The three most powerful groups in the world, facing planetary extinction… can’t get along enough to hunt down a couple dredge? (Norn storyline) Some how you, a random up and coming moron, green from the creche is, supposed to make these ancient orders work together? It is hamfisted and shortsighted.
A big problem I think is the transition from “you are the hero” to “you are the support cast” This is fine in theory, but the way it is written, you keep getting treated as the hero while you are written as support. If I am supposed to be supporting the differen’t orders, or destiny’s edge, the pact, or any of the other groups, write it that way. There should be an overarching goal that I’m attached to, but not directly responsible for. It would be nice to have something that say… it would all fall apart if I didn’t succeed, but I shouldn’t be leading the charge every step of the way. I thought it was kinda cool when you finally forged the pact, but that is forgotten almost immediately. It was my character’s hard work that put it together… that makes me the hero…
Treherne, there I said it, kittening Treherne. I don’t mind if he is the ‘hero’ of the story, this can even make for interesting writing… the problem comes in when we are given missions that do all the important stuff, and he just falls on his kitten and mopes around. He is incompetent, he is not fit to rule, and he is not a hero. You want a hero? Make him a hero, make him almost poiwerful, standing stalwart against a greater foe while you run around cleaning up other things. Make him smart, solving a problem while you stand by to protect him as hes busy dealing with the big picture. More often than not he’s just in the background throwing magic at the wildlife while you’re fighting the big boss. Then when its over, he acts as if HE defeated the boss?
I think the concept of being the support cast could be great. But to be support cast, you need to be supporting some one else, you need some one YOU can look up to.
Now lets talk about the other elephant, destiny’s edge. They get a big stamp of “WTF?” on their foreheads, all of them. The only real likeable ones in my opinion are Rytlock and Eir. Caithe is too busy worrying about some ex girlfriend to bother saving the world. Logan is…. 1 part prince charming, 1 parts chicken kitten running away from battle, 2 parts late (the only time this actually works out is when he shows up with the air ship), and 3 parts incompetent moron who’s on his kitten 90% of the battle. (I’m looking at you caudecas mannor). Zojja is alright some times, when shes dealing with only the private story stuff, but the moment you mix in the others… she changes characters completely. Snaff is obviously dead, but you don’t feel anything for it
Now lets talk early storyline. For the most part these work. But there are a few specific things missing. You are told your history, briefly, but its so disconnected that you cannot associate it. I don’t know when the asura arrived, I don’t know where they come from except, some where underground possibly driven up by primordius. When it starts out, I’m introduced to an asinine culture that has a striking similarity to the gnomes from Warcraft. Seriously guys, give us some more dimensions to the characters other than crotchety old farts and bat kitten crazy genius. How do any of them even get along long enough to reproduce?!
The Charr on the other hand, they were probably the best written of the bunch, but mostly because they actually had backstory that people were interested in. But then the norn are pretty flat, sylvari are almost empty except for the curiosity that they might be created by the jungle dragon. To me they mostly come off as both childish morons and mary sues. Even my own sylvari elementalist annoys me at times.

I “reported for scamming” as it was the only thing I could think to do.
What do you mean by “submit a ticket”?
So theres nothing we can do? :\
Should I provide the username?
Been logged off (mostly) for a lil over a week, when I came on today, glanced in the guild bank, and it was empty. One guild member, who I havn’t seen logged in, ever, and don’t even remember him joining… Some how had high enough rank to withdraw all the guild vault stuff.
I looked in the log history, and could find no record of him joining or being ranked up.
He took out roughly 12G worth of stuff. So not the end of the world… but… How he got the rank is beyond me.
Then like I said, I havn’t seen him logged in since maybe the first week, so I’m betting his account was hacked in his absence. :\
Is there anything we can do to get our stuff back?
Or at least a complete record of guild history that we can download and search through, cause Like I said, there is no record of this guy joining or anything.
I believe all classes have ohkitten buttons to escape immobilization and other status effects. I use it to great effect on my warrior and occasionally on my ranger. if my pet is alive.
I would like to see some diminishing returns on it though.
treat groups of enemies as a unit.. if you do damage to the unit, then you get drops for the unit, no matter how many in the unit you actually killed.
because infused rings drop, while backpacks are crafted.
only like 2 rings have 10%, and they sacrifice other stats to get it. The rest have much less.
I rip thieves apart on my warrior.
but ye know.. every single attack is an aoe… :P
I’d actually like the idea of defiant being some sort of stacking buff. Every time they are hit with a CC ability, they get a stack, that stacks in both duration and potency.
Each stack would reduce the time of a CC by 20%, at 5 stacks, they are immune to CC but it keeps stacking in duration. say 5 seconds per stack (and refreshing each stack). This would encourage both timing of the CC, and discourage constant CC for no reason.
What should count towards this is snare, chill, cripple, stun, daze, and knockdown.
Just my little suggestion
Rieselle, there are only two unavoidable agony attacks in the game.
The jelly fish swallow.. (as far as I’m aware, there is no way to prevent being swallowed) and cthulhu’s love child’s stage switch.
I really don’t get it.

A good 25% have highly visible pants. Not bad for an armor type known for robes.
http://www.gw2armor.com/human/male/heavy_list.php
One could be termed a kilt…maybe two, another a skirt, but the rest… not so much so.
Are poeple seeing the same armor sets over and over and complaining without looking at the huge variety out there?
in the light… there isn’t a single straight up “pants” there are tights, there are revealing skirts, there are even robes.. but nothing just.. pants. So I’m not entirely sure what you are talking about.
Also, pretty much all of that was human.. :p and yes, there are some actual pants in the heavy armor, but that is the exception.. I understand girdles, kilts, whatever else.. but most of it has something hanging down the front or sides like a freaking skirt :p
No one said they didn’t exist, just that there weren’t enough of them that didn’t look like kitten
the 18k crit in a single hit, generally from greatsword f1 or gun f1 on warrior.
Personally, like I said, I never hit more than around 10k (though I just respecced, so we shall see :p)
munchkins are a part of life, they will exist.. it will just take longer for them to figure out the math.
I’m not a big munchkin but I do like to maximize my character.. though rarely do I min max. But this tends to kitten me, there are people min maxing, and doing 18,000 damage crits, where I rarely see 10k.
Not showing the numbers just means they keep doing 18k damage, ankittenep doing 10k unless I want to sit down and start working out the numbers for myself. Essentially the haves and the have nots.
asuran female underwear… that is all. -shudders-
would be nice. The reason we see each other is because we are on a “team” essentially would have to make everyone in a server on a team then.
to all the people trying to say they didn’t realease it so we wouldn’t go all math nerd? Well, people do that anyway, it just gets a bit trickier to determine. We know the damage scaling on certain stats, and we can figure out the rest.. some things are hidden.. But I prefer real numbers. Most of the traits are labled like “improves all herps” And most of the time, I don’t even know what the kitten akittenis, nor does it say how it improves it.. so I cannot make an informed decision whether improvingkittenis particularly useful or not.
worst bosses in my opinion;
jellyfish, hes easy, you can SOLO him.. there is no challenge.. but thats okay all and all, the part that makes him worst, is the fact that even with 5 people he takes freaking forever.. even if you lead him to the cages. And I’ve never been in a group that could manage to lead him to a cage regularly -.- some one is always out of position, always, even when we are on teamspeak.
The other worst one, the volcano boss. That destroyer harpy thing is just kittenedly annoying. Half the time I can’t tell i’m about to be shot by an arrow and put in to agony because hes flinching or there are too many particle effects from others. So I end up taking serious damage. And then trying to knock down his rock shield while 10+ lava elementals are bombarding me is just… ow.
Hes the most difficult in 10+ but beatable. You just gotta dodge that kitten arrow.
As for the dredge boss, hes cake, only thing i’d change about him.. make him take more damage and make his heal less potent. It really sucks when things go bad in a bad way (agony + bombs taking down the guy dumping the bucket for instance, and who ever is on stuns.) and then he heals two or three times, bringing him back up to full health. Fully resetting cause one person gets downed is just STUPID.
remember 250 is the max in the collectables.
So, I frequently max out my wood cloth and ore. Karka shells on the other hand, you need them in mass, just like these other ingredients. Not putting them in the collectables is just mean. :\
On the same note, we need a tokens bank. One slot for each token type, taking up to 1000 tokens.
This is dungeon tokens, fractal relics, whatever other currency that isn’t money.. I’ve got some 20 slots in my bank taken up by these kitten tokens…

Bag of candy stolen from a baby, you.
Aye its not exactly a bug, but I wouldn’t call it a suggestion either… this is an oversight.. :\ And yes, summoning elementals under water would make perfect sense..
I can only really consider this an oversight.. but its something that should be dealt with.
Until you spend the 50 skillpoints necessary to get tornado, there is no under water elite skill available. This is rather annoying, honestly. Give us SOMETHING to use above and blow water for 10 points.
Usually in my stories he dies first, kills nothing, and gets stuck on terrain :p
because he takes all the glory :P
he gets the killing blows, he knows everything, and you do all the work, but he takes the credit :p
Not to mention, hes the center of the story, not your character… except hes mostly incompetent. In a fight, he dies quickly and does no damage, while you are ripping things to shreds.. Then frequently will just stand there and fight while you are dying instead of trying to help. Hes a necro kitten use mark of undeath or what ever its called!
Everyone hates him, so Anet of course wants to double the hatred, right? :P

was on sylvari story mission “A Splinter in the Flesh” and at the end, noticed there were two of them…
Loic, the mesmer doesn’t actually wield it, it floats. It is used as something akin to a lightning rod for their magic. Now this might be aplicable for elementalist too, but i’ve not seen much floating in their stuff.
Also, wanted to add to staff weapons for warriors… Totally wanna fight with a staff >:3 like a monk or such.
I don’t agree with all weapons.. what is a warrior going to do with a focus? and I wouldn’t really agree with an elementalist wielding a greatsword… them fragile little flowers picking up that huge chunk of metal? psh no.
But give the warrior a staff and long bow… give the horn to the elementalist.. give… anything… to the engineer. (I’d really like to see a different type of gun specialization for the engineer…. something sniper ish… would probably be a kit though :p)
yes for the love of wall that is unwholesome! >:|
bags of gold have no gold, thus they are not bags of gold.. unless you refer to the color of the bag, but then you should probably say gold colored bag of dimes.
I’d really like it if you could buy effect modifications for your spells from the BLTC. A blue frost mesmer would be awesome :p mesmer clones breaking in to shards of ice. Or green flame mesmer.
but yeah… they really need to do something to make other mesmer choices more viable.
within my guild its already extremely fractured.
We try to run together.. but I tend to run more often… I stopped, havn’t beaten 11 yet because i’m waiting for other guildies to catch up. for 3 days been going back and doing 10 and under over and over to level them up… it takes a long time.
Its not necessarily an either or situation. They have specifically said they have separate teams working on bug fixing and content.
Kick from guild should NOT be on the right click menu.. it should be in the guild window, and guild window only.. select person’s name, select kick from guild, prompt asking if you are sure…
I’ve accidentally kicked 3 or 4 people from my guild over the past few months.. it sucks :\
please for the love of all that is unholy YES.
also “equipable” checkbox.. if its above my level, it won’t show up, if its the wrong type, it won’t show up.
Not bad at all… but I’d rename the topic to something like caravans instead of mounts. There are a lot of knee jerk reactions to mounts.
Actually as far as I’m aware, unmanned siege is disbanded after 60 minutes anyway..
This fix is for PvE, event triggers not firing, skill challenges stuck in the ground.. things like that. Wouldn’t even need to restart the server as a whole if done right… roll the server over.. people teleport in or out, they are moved on to the new server unless in a party… then once the old server is empty, take it offline.
I think this should be added.
Seriously, an arrow cart is a CART in other words, I CAN DRAG IT AROUND.
It should be slow, like 1/5th walking speed. ballistas should be even slower, catapults even slower than that… and trebuchets should not move. As for the flame ram… traditionally it was assembled eslewhere, and lugged up to the gate :p why can’t we do that? it would be more fun… lugging the kitten thing through arrow cart fire while trying to get to the gate.
I guess none of you ever played another on launch MMO? All things told, guildwars 2 launch has been relatively smooth… The serious bugs that did crop up were fixed rather quickly. Compare this to say WoW’s launch, and oh my god the bugs.
I’ve seen most of the bugs i’ve run across fixed within a week or two. The others there are workarounds that work temporarily, and a few that are probably head scratchers.
Neither of you have likely worked on bug fixing code.. it isn’t like patching a wall or sanding out a ding on your car. :\ some bugs can be so illusive as to hide for years on end, cropping up only in weird situations 7.5 days after daylight savings, but only if the day is tuesday. :P
The thing I would like them to do though, is put a lot more information in to the patch notes. Documentation is everything!
its financially stupid.
They make money because people use their service, discouraging people from using their service… would make them.. well.. NOT use the service, thus not have a reason to spend more money.
or better solution, let the legacy dungeons fall by the wayside.. and build new dungeons based on the fractal concept.. I’d love it if some day we had 30 or 50 different fractals, each with hundreds of permutations.. so you could run thousands of times and not see the same thing twice.
This is why the fractals are great… they are quite fresh, I’ve run almost 70 fractals so far, and on the last one I found a new change I hadn’t seen before. Sadly there are not as many options as I would hope.
But locking out? thats just stupid. :p why restrict gameplay from people who want to play it? I played an MMO a while back that you could only play as long as you had energy, if you ran out of energy you had to wait for it to recharge (24 hours) or buy more. This sucked worse than just about anything else. If I have 6 hours to kill (frequently is the case) and I want to do one or two things, being prevented from doing those things would annoy me.
The old dungeons obviously are not a big hit, for the most part they are just annoying to do and tedious. They can change them, leave them the same, or replace them… but leaving them as they are won’t make them more popular.
Arxen you’re wrong.
I generally leveled in areas 5-10 levels above me, consistently. I leveled a LOT faster that way.
So, your reasoning for reducing the functionality of the game is xenophobia? way to go.
I agree. Even for men in heavy armor, every thing is a freaking kilt.. would it kill them to expand the dress code a bit?
I have to agree mostly.. But the one problem I see with it, is jumping in to fractal 30 right away to get the level 30 reward…
I’d much prefer to see it tier based.. you are still stuck in tier 1-9 until you have beaten it 9 times… then finally you can go in to 10-19.
Otherwise this idea is great!
I’ve gotta agree with this.
the other day it was a nightmare trying to get a fractals group because we couldn’t get to an overflow, and lions arch was so empty. (I mostly play at night)
I have a better suggestion.
Change magic find to be a group buff. Have it act as a boon, showing the percent of magic find buffed to the group. This would mean everyone would recieve the bonus of having a high MF wearer in the group.. meaning you would have a REASON to carry them along.
As it stands now, either the MF wearer drags the group down, or they take off their MF and are poor. Both sides of the option suck terribly. I tend to take a middle ground, I have omnomberry bars and I use runes of the pirate. 80% magic find is good enough by far without nerfing my damage and survivability. Runes arn’t the end of the world.
yes.. please.. after level 10, many of the bosses are nearly unbeatable with only 4 players >.<
